I took my car to have recalls fixed. The next time I drove it after that my power steering shut off while driving. The warning lights for "Hill Start Assist Not Available" and "Service AdvanceTrac" came on. After some research it looks like I have the exact problem for recall 19S26. However when I called the dealership they couldn’t find the documentation if they fixed this or not on my vehicle. They said since it is not an open recall they do not have to fix it. Can you please open/reopen this recall for my vehicle so I can address this specific issue.

Backup camera does not work dealership has done absolutely nothing regarding this matter it’s been almost 8 months
When backing up the rear camera went to black screen and wouldnt display the rear view. Almost hit a pedestrian because they were directly behind the car. This problem happens sometimes and I am not sure how to replicate it except for putting the car in reverse and seeing if it is going to display the rear view or not. I need this recall to be completed ASAP, it has been released since October and I’m still having issues with it 6 months later and there is no fix for this?? Its just frustrating
The rear view camera on my 2016 Ford Fusion activates randomly while driving and displays blank or distorted images when the vehicle is in reverse. This is a known defect covered under Ford Recall 25SA9 / NHTSA 25v695, issued October 2025. I have contacted Koons Ford in Falls Church, VA multiple times requesting repair. The dealer stated the replacement part is only available for Mustangs. As of May 2026, Ford's own recall page confirms parts are still not available — over seven months after the recall was issued. I am driving daily with a malfunctioning safety system and no repair timeline. The camera issue creates a crash risk every time I reverse the vehicle.

See attached document for complaint. In Oct I received letter (see enclosure) that there is a recall on my rear view camera. I’ve been waiting for Sam Galloway Ford in Ft Myers to call me to say they have parts to fix. I called them yesterday 3/9/26 and they didn’t have any idea about when this would happen. The manager suggested I write you. So can you help me? That letter came 5 months ago and it would seem like it would be time to fix the back up camera. I’ll appreciate an answer. Thank you.

I called way scarff ford to have the safety recalls taken care. Got my appointment, stopped the car off in the morning. They kept the car for 3 days and after the 3rd day they said everything is good to go. Go there in Auburn WA couldn't find my car. Took 4 people or including myself. Then it took another half hour to 45 min to find my car. Go get in the vehicle and something doesn't seem right. Everything still felt the same. I look under the hood and find that the the recalls for the cable bushing wasn't corrected so let led me to think that the other recalls were not completed. Befote calling ford corporate to have this issue taken care of we called [XXX] in enumclaw to have this taken care of. Since the car was at way scarff my car started to act funny. Lean idle, really rough idle vibration with now a code P0299 which is the underboost. I do not think they hooked the hoses up correctly. So now my car is acting really funny. The plastic part on the transmission melted. I had to get my transmission rebuilt. This has been a problem for many Ford vehicles with this engine type because who makes a transmission out of plastic!?
The steering gear went out causing the steering wheel to completely lock up. It’s costing thousands of dollars to repair. Not sure why this recall isn’t associated with my VIN number but other 2016 ford fusions. My car is in the shop now to be fixed and was quoted over 3k$

Severe coolant intrusion issue where coolant leaks into the cylinders, causing rough running, overheating, and potential engine failure. Very unsafe especially due to the fact the their were recalls on the 2017-2019 but not for 2016 models and ford refuses to replace the engine.ford reproduced a better block however my 2016 isn't covered. There signs of rough idling and a engine code for a failed coil . Replaced all coils and spark plugs just for the car to still ride rough with no warning signs. Ford knows themselves that there was a flaw in the making the recall for the 2017-2019(21N12) . This is a major issue considering several reviews or reddit consumers have encountered the exact issue at 100k miles and less. Even when I took my car to bill estes they only found a missfire due to coil. Nothing specified a coolant intrusion.

I received a recall notice in October 2025 for the back up camera on my car. As of now, there is still no remedy. This puts me and others at risk of potential injury. I have waited patiently and still no solution. Can you help me?
My vehicle has multiple active safety recalls that remain unrepaired. I have already contacted the dealership and attempted to have these issues addressed, but I have experienced delays and a lack of response. The front brake hose recall presents a serious safety risk, as it could rupture and cause a brake fluid leak, leading to reduced braking ability and increased stopping distance. Additionally, the rear view camera recall affects visibility when reversing, as the camera may display a blank or distorted image.I have already filed a complaint with NHTSA regarding these unresolved recalls. One of the recalls currently does not have a remedy available, and the other has not been completed despite my efforts to schedule repairs. These unresolved safety issues put me and others at risk, and I am concerned about the lack of timely action to correct them.
I have concerns about the safety and proper installation of my child’s car seat. The seat is installed in the rear of the vehicle, however I am unsure if the lower anchors and tether system are functioning properly or securing the seat as intended. I want to ensure my child is fully protected in the event of a sudden stop or crash. Additionally, I am reporting ongoing safety concerns with my vehicle related to open recalls. The manufacturer has stated that certain repairs should be completed free of charge, but the dealership has delayed or failed to complete the repairs in a timely manner. These issues raise concerns about overall safety and risk to occupants, especially a young child. The vehicle and car seat are available for inspection if needed.
I took my car in to diagnose low coolant and white exhaust smoke on cold start. The technician said he "observed the presence of coolant inside the cylinder walls which can lead to "serious damage...corrosion...failure and wear and could seize up and told me to get a new engine or car. The vehicle component was inspected by an independent service center. No warning lights prior to failure. Other symptoms include low coolant, white exhaust smoke and runs rough condition especially on acceleration. My 2016 Ford Fusion SE had a prior safety recall repair in 2020 involving replacement of the steering wheel retaining/attachment bolt with a longer bolt. The bolt now appears to be loosening again. This seems like a recurrence or failure of the prior recall remedy. The dealer told me I had to pay out of pocket and ford corporate said the repair only had a 12-month warranty, but this is a steering safety issue involving the same recalled condition. I am concerned the steering wheel could loosen or separate from the steering column.
I was driving my car one day and as I was coming down the road the car jerked and picked up speed like on its on and I had to really stop abruptly to stop the car. I thought that was strange, I didn't have any warning lights or any indication that anything was going on I just thought it was weird, then like 2 days later as was driving the car would do this random jerk but again no lights on any indication anything was wrong so I went to work car seemed fine, got on the high way to go pick up my grand kid after work and when I signaled to change lanes attempted to accelerate to pass, the car just hummed and my speed started to diminish and I immediately coasted to nearest exit because I could not accelerate more than 15 mies, I coasted to a strip mall turned the car off waited til I thought the car settled for a moment and attempted to start the car and when I put the car in gear it jerked but as I tried to accelerate it just hummed and no speed overc15 . So I left the car got it towed the next day to another shop because any ford dealerships I called to see if I could tow for diagnostic test said they had extensive waiting period like one had weeks before they could look at the car. So I had it towed to another car lot who had a good business rating to be told that it seems to look like something had came loose from the transmission. That i may have to get it replaced, this car starts right up, didn't give me any indication of a problem and doesn't even have a hundred thousan

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
