My vista sunroof on my 2017 F250 Super Duty Platinum made a popping noise and failed to open when I attempted to open it. It became bound to the rear glass which in turn commenced to fracture across the entire piece. Fortunately no one was injured as this glass could have dropped large shards into the cab. I an concerned that this could still present a problem when driving and is an imminent safety hazard. I found out that this is a common issue that Ford is aware of on the F series trucks with the panoramic roofs and it is due to the rail/track system fracturing on the front glass (sunroof) and will not replace/repair it because it is not under warranty. This a safety hazard for passengers due to a manufacturer defect and poor design and needs to be replaced immediately to avoid any risks.

Recently I was leaving my neighborhood to take my kids to school. I used the remote start and noticed that the doors were not unlocking properly with the exception of the drivers side door. I opened the passenger door from the inside for my child to get into the truck. As we were about to depart the neighborhood for a busy main street, I noticed the door ajar light on the dash was on. I told my son to go ahead and close his door again. When he attempted to open and re-close the door we notice it was not fully latched and then the door would then not close at all as the latch was not functioning properly. I had to turn around and drive very slowly back to my house with my son holding the door closed. This was so incredibly unsafe and I'm thankful I was still in my neighborhood when it happened and not stopping for gas on the interstate or traveling long distances for work. I immediately looked on the Ford website for recalls and contacted the local Ford dealership. There are no recalls at this time. However, there are two Customer Satisfaction Recalls for the door latch and the door lock actuators. (Campaign #18N03 and 20M04). I brought my truck to this dealership for repairs as it is not safe to drive and will in no way pass the state inspection that is due on it. The maintenance shop called me around 24 hours later and stated that the door latch stopped functioning and wiring for the door locks was damaged somehow (unknown how, no damage to my vehicle has ever occurred) but

While responding my personal vehicle to a motor vehicle collision (volunteer first responder) my 2017 f250 lost all power at 70+ miles an hour on a highway. Power steering and power brakes were not functioning and caused a delay in service to the community. Mechanic diagnosed it as a contaminated fuel system from the problematic Bosch CP4 pump, which Ford is well aware of. They even have a “kit” to fix this issue costing well over $6,000. This is a major safety issue when all power is lost especially if towing trailers.

At a speed of approximately 70mph, the vehicle shook violently after hitting a minor bump. There was a complete loss of steering control and the shaking lasted until the vehicle was significantly slowed. Definitely a safety hazard to my family which occupied the vehicle and every other motorist on the interstate at that time. Ford is well aware of this dangerous issue, often referred to as the “death wobble”. This truck had previously shown signs of this issue, briefly feeling unstable when driving over minor bumps and one other issue of the violent shaking about one year ago. In November 2022, a steering linkage damper was ordered to correct the issue. This part was back ordered, and finally replaced in April 2023. Clearly this was not the fix, as only 4 months later the issue is still present and possibly worsening.

Took my truck for a safety recall concerning a potentially deadly defect in my 2017 F-250 Ford truck. I had purchased this vehicle from Brandon Ford new in 2017. The safety recall was to address "The Death Wobble" which causes the vehicle steering to shake violently causing the whole vehicle to lose control. I sent my truck to Brandon Ford 2 time prior stating the same problem. In 2021 they told me it was the tires, so I purchased 4 new ones. Still had the same problem occur. They told me this last time they fixed the problem. No true, my son and I whom is 11 had a day planned to goto the aquarium. On the highway the "Death Wobble" occurred again. I received a phone call 5 days later only to be told I was needed to pay for the complete rebuild of the steering and front end. The rods where bent from the voilent shaking due to the Death Wobble. They told me to fix the problem it was going to be over $4000. I was shocked and was told if I want the safety recall of the Deat

The airbag located in the steering wheel has cracked the steering cover and is exposed. If this were to deploy prematurely or while driving it would pose serious safety risks. I have contacted Ford corporate in regard to this and their only suggestion was to take the vehicle to our dealer to have this replaced, at my own cost, which is missing the point of this needing to be reported and/or recalled as it appears to be a common problem with Ford trucks in online communities. It is a safety hazard and not a warrantied repair. As previously stated I have not taken to the dealership as I want it to be reported/recalled. There was no warning of this issue and it occured Saturday 6/10/23

DEATH WOBBLE : First time it happened. We were pulling a trailer; we had to come to a complete stop. We called the dealer that we bought the F-250 with a gas engine from; they did work on it that ended up costing us additional money. When the dealer fixed it supposedly it was under warranty. Now it is doing it again; so the warranty didn't fix it.This truck has around 15,000 miles on it now. Our son-in law was driving it about a month ago ; he hit a bump and it did it again. He had to slow way down or stop for it to quit the wobble. He had our grandkids with him. Ford needs to address this problem.

On April 26,2023 we were traveling home from Florida in our F250 towing our RV. Suddenly,( after we hit a rough patch of road) our truck started violently shaking. It was HORRIBLE. My husband was driving and I was the passenger. It lasted about 20 seconds during which it took all his strength to hold the steering wheel so we would not die in a horrible crash. THIS IS NO EXAGGERATION. When it stopped I burst into tears and told him"I thought we were gonna die !" He responded, " I dont know how we didnt!" We were both very shook up realizing, what we just experienced is what someone sees right before they die in a fatal car crash. We had this happen in a much, less slighter degree last spring. So we are aware of "The FORD truck death wobble " Our Ford Dealership did replace the steering damper last August. I hope no one has to experience what we did that day ever again ! The next day we continued home cautiously. Again it happened as we entered Michigan. A just a few seconds. But PTSD kicked in from the last event and had us white knuckling. This truck has under 50,000 miles on it. We had it diagnosed and were told it would be $1500 to repair it. ARE YOU KIDDING ? What we experienced should NEVER,EVER happen in a car. Especially with under 50,000 miles on it !!! Our safety and others was put at risk as it started to wobble us into the next lane. THANK GOD, no one was there. FORD should be responsible for this repair ! NOT US ! We almost came home in Body Bags .....
