- I'm not sure what components have failed. However the issue relates to Tires halting while driving and they screech across the road. RPM's will switch from 1,500 to 4,500, down to 2,500 and at times nearly redlines. While driving it will also kick into neutral and will not operate to move in reverse or forward, even though initially the vehicle was put in "Drive". The engine sounds like it's overworking when going through this issue. The "gear" and "prndl" lights on the dash will flicker and/or disappear when this issue arises. The truck can be available upon request for inspection. - When driving and the issue arises. The truck will jolt while improperly shifting gears. It will skip several gears and even go into neutral. I lose all control of the truck when this issue occurs. Recently, I was traveling while my truck jolted. I lost all control of the truck. I could not engage with the transmission. The speed of the truck significantly decreased and I lurched forward in my seat. The gears went from "6th" and shifted automatically to "1st". The vehicle behind me nearly collided with my truck. This issues poses a threat to all drivers and passengers within range. Especially considering this happens unexpectedly. - This issue is common with Ford F-150's. Their has been a major recall, however my truck is not on that list. The recall seems to be issues on 2011's-2013's. Ford needs to investigate on their 2015 year models as well. I'm not the only one with this issue. -It has no

All four of the tires on my vehicle are Cooper Adventurer Tires that I purchased at Pep Boys. I have two tires that are DOT UTUJ1HL1519 and two tires that are DOT UTUJ1HL0419. I received a notice that these tires were recalled under NHTSA Recall Notice 21T-002 and Cooper Tire recall notice 178. We have brought the vehicle to the Pep Boys located at 7465 N Mesa Street, El Paso, TX 79912 on at least 5 separate occasions. Rather than verify the tires and order the replacement tires, the desk clerk and then the Service Manager have given us the run around. The tires have now been recalled since March 2021 and we started to go into this store in May 2021 to get the issue resolved. The desk clerk has told us that the service manager, Robert Lozoya, turns away everyone who comes to the store with a tire recall notice. We provided them with a copy of the recall notice repeatedly and had the vehicle there to verify the DOT number. Mr. Lozoya is running this business in a manner that fails to comply with federal law and puts customers at danger for failing to order replacement tires, failing to comply with the federally-mandated recall, and intentionally delay the replacement process on unsafe tires that the NHTSA has determined "may lead to a crash".
The power sliding glass window in the rear the top rail that holds the glass that slides has come loose allowing the glass to sag. It’s never even been opened. Why is it coming apart? How do I fix it.
I have been driving since 1964 and have never experienced a total loss of all braking power in any .vehicle in my life until last Sunday. I exited from the church parking lot and pulled out onto the main drive headed home. As I approached a signal light at a "T" intersection traveling across the top of the "T" right to left, the light turned yellow so I applied my brakes to slow down, only to find that the brake pedal traveled all the way to the floor without any hesitation and the car continued on its path without slowing at all. I immediately released my foot and permitted the pedal to rise to its normal position and I pressed on it again, only to get the exact same result. I immediately down shifted to first gear and pushed down on the emergency brake pedal which slowed the car to a stop before I entered the intersection. I shifted into park and tried pressing on the brake pedal to "pump up the braking system" and got some relief, however as soon as the light change and I put the car back in drive, all resistance from the brake pedal system quit and I was back in free fall. I managed to get home using manual shifting and emergency brake assistance. The braking system never returned to any form of even trying to control the forward momentum of the vehicle. I checked the internet to find that there were pages of people entering reports of similar issues with their F150's and yet there was no report of any recall or safety issues reported. Now I may be wrong but I thought I w
Manifold leak.
Went into 'limp mode'. Advance track, hill descent warnings. Wouldn't throttle. stopped going downhill. Known Throttle Block problem.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH with cruise control activated, while approaching a parked dump truck, the vehicle applied the brakes independently. The contact stated that there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated he experienced the failure on three separate occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact stated he also experienced the vehicle overheating and engine failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V614000 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
A)When using the adaptive cruise control on interstate, the cruise control periodically resets to a much lower speed for no apparent reason. I have had the cruise set to seventy-five miles per hour on interstate highways and suddenly the cruise resets to thirty-five or forty-five miles per hour. This could become somewhat dangerous if someone is following me and does not notice the sudden reduction in speed. b)I have encountered problems when using the combined systems. For example, in a long line of vehicles approaching a stop sign, the autonomous systems operated efficiently. When the vehicle immediately in front of me leaves the stop sign, my vehicle attempts to accelerate through the stop sign. c)The lane keeping seems to pull hard to the right at various times. It may be due to the striping at interstate highway exits where to right hand lane marking follows the exit and the vehicle seems to attempt to remain centered between the lane markings. The lane keeping feature is very tiring to operate. The system seems to require operator intervention every minute of two so that the system may assure operator vigilance. This continued need to move the steering wheel slightly is extremely tiring. d)Speed sign recognition identifies school zone speed signs and reduces the preset speed of the vehicle even when the school zone is not active, such as off hours or holidays. This could become somewhat dangerous if someone is following does not notice the sudden reduction in my speed.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle would not start while turning the ignition switch. The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission range sensor was faulty, and the lead frame assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 124,950.
In September 2019 my brakes failed on me while driving my truck. The red brake light on the dash came on while I was driving to work and the dealership diagnosed the issue as "master cylinder leaking into the brake booster" on my Ford paperwork. They replaced the brake booster and master cylinder for $858. Then on November 2020 they performed a recall to install a new master cylinder under the open recall and after much arguing they refunded my prior $858 charge. On August 8, 2021 in less than 9 months and just under 9000 miles later the newly installed master cylinder failed while I was driving down a mountain road. I had my family of 4 in the truck and we lost all brakes. This time there were NO WARNING LIGHTS, we just lost the ability to stop the truck while going down the mountain. The vehicle was towed to the dealership but the brake fluid reservoir was 100% empty and the dealership will diagnose the issue in the next 24-48 hours. This is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and I do NOT feel comfortable driving the truck.
My 2015 Truck will occasionally lag in acceleration for no reason. It creates dangerous issues when going through intersections. It only has 56k miles . It should not be lagging like this by reasonable means.
On 7/30/2021, I was driving and the truck shut off. If another vehicle would have been behind me, it would have hit the rear end of my vehicle. This occurred twice within minutes apart. I have not taken it to a dealer but plan to tomorrow or Monday. The warning lamps that said service advancetrack, see manual with a wrench symbol, with an oil symbol and a temperature symbol under it in red, hill assist mode. The same thing occurred on 7/29/2021 twice as I was leaving work. I was going less than 15 mph. The engine coolant and over temperature also displayed.
I was driving on a city street at about 30mph up a slight incline when the truck just seem to shut off. But it didn't die, the engine was still running but barely. It was running very rough, like miss firing on several cylinders. It would not accelerate, no change of engine sound or power, the throttle was totally unresponsive. It also felt as if the brakes were being applied slightly. A message came on the dash saying something about hill assist and another wrench message. I had no chose but to pull over in traffic before it quit. This was on or about July 18 then again today on July 26. This time I was one a city street down to one lane due to construction. I was barely able to make it to a turn off before it totally quit moving, with traffic backed up behind me. I shut off the engine to let the computer reboot and got a message that hill assist was now off. After a longer than normal crank time it started and ran ok. I called Stivers Ford to make an appointment and was told it was probably a fluke, and wait and see if it did it again. I now have an appointment for August 4 to have it checked. I went on Google after the first time and found many complaints about the same situations, but with no fixes. If this were to happen under the right circumstances it could be very serious. I'm a recently retired auto technician , and shop owner of 48 years. I understand the difficulty in finding intermittent failures. But after reading all the same symtoms in Ford pickups for years it
While driving on the freeway the truck completely lost throttle, note electrical stayed and engine idled roughly during this time. Had to emergently pull to the side of the freeway while the truck coasted nearly causing several accidents and people swerved around the truck. Since this initial incident this has happened approximately 15 times on various roads and in intersections. Dealership is saying that some of the electronic throttle bodies (TSB 16-0139) were defective which causes this issue.
Rear power windshield shattered while it was parked in the sun. We were on a hike and came back and the window was shattered. Temp was approximately 85 degrees. Rear bed cover was on and metal button was touching the window. Not sure what caused it to shatter
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 50 mph, the vehicle downshifted independently. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to park on the side of the road, restarted the vehicle, and drove to his residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000
As i was driving home. i noticed that my brake pressure was getting low. when i came to a complete stop my foot went to the floor of the truck. LUCKILY i was able to pull over. when i checked the brake master cylinder reservoir the brake fluid was COMPLETLY gone. i was reading that Ford issued a Recall on on the 2014-17 Ford F-150 vehicles built at Kansas City Assembly Plant, Sept. 1, 2014 to Aug. 1, 2016 which mine was. i contacted Ford Motor Company and they stated that the recall was on a the 3.4 eco boost engine and and not the 2.7 which mine has. How does Engine Displacement make a difference on a defective Hydraulically master cylinder.
When driving on the highway an alert popped up on the dash stating Hill Descent Control Fault which was followed quickly by Service Advancetrac and a yellow wrench and see manual. These warning continued to cycle and the truck seemed to lose ability to maintain speed as is slowed down and the steering became difficult. I was able to get it off the highway without incident as there were not many vehicles on the road, but if it would have been busy, I would have been in trouble. Once on the shoulder I placed it in park and the truck began to shudder and run rough. I turned the truck off and let it sit for a few minutes and then restarted it. Upon restart everything appeared normal and there were no warnings, I was able to continue to my destination. I called the dealership and they sounded like they had heard this story before and told me I could bring it in within a weeks time. I was also told that it would not cause any damage to continue to drive it. While waiting for the repair I did have to continue to drive it and this same thing would happen randomly just going down the road and all of the sudden you get a warning lose the ability to maintain speed and steering becomes difficult. Being on the highway in this situation is dangerous since you never know when it might occur. After going to the dealership they listed the repairs on my form as: installed BL3Z9E926 B Throttle Body and Motor Asy installed BL3Z 12029 C Coil Asy - Ignition installed BL3Z 12A402 A Boot - Ignition
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 mph, the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The contact mentioned that the brake pedal was depressed several times for the vehicle to stop. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front brake hose, brake fluid, and brake system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 56,700.
Sounds like an exhaust leak near the turbo possibly at the manifold. It is very loud and can tell there is a significant loss of power.
The drivers side lower A arm bracket that is welded on the frame and the A arm bolts up to the metal failed and broke completely off. this was not a weld but the bracket itself that failed.
Driving on highway lost power steering on vehicle, steering assist fault-advancetrac warning and hill start assist not available warnings came on on dashboard. There were no prior warning lights leading up to the incident. Car was very difficult to handle and was not easy to get off the road - luckily it was 5 am and no other cars were on the road. car was taken to dealership where the said new steering gear rack and pinion is needed the car has only 52,000 miles on it
1) PASSENGER SIDE ENGINE EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEAK, LOUD AT COLD START UP, DECREASES AS ENGINE WARMS UP. WHILE DRIVING A REDUCTION OF GAS MILEAGE OF 2 MILES PER GALLON HAVE BEEN OBSERVED, PERFORMANCE ISSUES TOWING TRAILERS. 2) PARKING BRAKES DO NOT HOLD VEHICLE SECURELY, IN FACT WITH BRAND NEW PARKING BRAKES FULLY SET ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR ONE CAN EASILY DRIVE AWAY.
VEHICLE LOST ALL SPEED CONTROL WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOP AND ENGINE WAS SHUTTERING/VIBRATING/MISFIRING AND DASH PANEL LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE WITH ALL KINDS OF WARNINGS. PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SHUT DOWN AND LET SIT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. RESTARTED AND ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ILLUMINATED. TRUCK WAS RUNNING OK AND LIMITER WAS NOT ENGAGED WAS A SHORT DISTANCE FROM HOME SO I BEGAN TO DRIVE. MADE IT UP TO 55 MPH AND ABOUT 1/2 A MILE AND WITHOUT ANY WARNING IT BEGAN TO ACT UP AGAIN SO TO PREVENT AN ACCIDENT I PULLED OVER AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO HAVE IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. THEY DIAGNOSED TO TO BE A FAULTY THROTTLE BODY. $502.46, A HEART AND PANIC ATTACK LATER IT SEEMS TO HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER, HE BECAME AWARE THAT THE WINDSHIELD WAS LEAKING AND CAUSING THE CARPET TO CONSTANTLY BE WET. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE A GRINDING NOISE EMANATED FROM SOMEWHERE NEAR THE FRONT WHEELS. THE WAS ALSO THE FEELING OF A SHUTTER OR A SHAKE FROM THE SAME AREA. THIS WAS FELT IN THE STEERING WHEEL. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE FORD DEALER, WE WERE TOLD THEY TOOK A FLUID SAMPLE FROM THE TRANSFER CASE AND FOUND IT CONTAMINATED WITH METAL. AT 44,576 MILES, WE HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSFER CASE.
THE FOLLOWING HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. I AM DRIVING IN TOP GEAR (5TH OR 6TH) AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH. I ATTEMPT TO PASS SOMEONE AND SUDDENLY LOSE ACCELERATION AS I PRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO GO LIMP. AFTER A FEW SECONDS MY ACCELERATION RETURNS.
THE ENGINE IDLES VERY LOW TO WERE IT SHUTS OF AT A STOP LIGHT.
THE CAPLESS FUEL CAP FLAP IS ALLOWING AIR INTO THE TSNK CSUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON. I KNOW NUMEROUS FORD VECHICLES HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I FEEL FORD SHOULD RECALL THESE PROBLEMS .
MY TRUCK WON'T START SOMETIMES AND TURNS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. IT HAPPENS EVERY FEW WEEKS. IT SHOWS A MESSAGE SAYING THE OIL I LOW BUT WHEN I CHECK THE OIL, IT IS FINE.
DRIVERS DOOR LOCK STOPPED WORKING USING THE REMOTE AND THE POWER DOOR LOCK ON THE DOOR. STARTED AFTER A COLD SPELL IN NC. DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY COMPLETED THE LATCH RECALL WORK. THEY THEN CHARGED ME FOR A NEW LATCH AS THEY SAID THE ELECTRONICS IN THE LATCH FAILED WHICH CAUSES THE DOOR LOCK TO NO LONGER WORK.
ON 2-24-2021 THESE TWO THINGS HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE 1. I NOTICED WHEN ARRIVED TO WORK THE P FOR THE GEAR SELECTOR STAYED ILLUMINATED AFTER VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF. A CO-WORKER POINTED THIS OUT ALSO THIS HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE 2. WHILE IN A PARKING SPACE ON SIDE OF CVS DRUG STORE NO OTHER CARS NEAR AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND PUTTING INTO REVERSE THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN WHILE APPLYING BRAKE DIDN'T STOP HIT A CEMENT POLE BARRIER, TRUCK KEPT TRYING TO JERK BACKWARDS AFTER 2-3 SECONDS IT STOPPED SHIFTED VEHICLE FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE TO MOVE BACK INTO PARKING SPACE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN; QUICKLY SHIFTED FROM DRIVE TO PARK VEHICLE CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD WHILE BRAKE PEDAL APPLIED AND HIT A TREE AND TRUCK TURNED OFF IF NOT FOR TREE WOULD HAVE WENT DOWN EMBANKMENT ON TO A FREEWAY
WHILE IN MOTION AND ON THE FREEWAY THERE IS POWER LOSS, SHAKING, ENGINE SPUTTERING AND BARELY HAS ENOUGH POWER TO GET OFF THE ROAD, HILL START ASSIST DISABLED, DECENT CONTROL DISABLED, SERVICE WRENCH INDICATOR, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC. I POWERED OFF THE TRUCK, WAITING 10 SECONDS AND IT STARTS AND RUNS FINE UNTIL IT DOES IT AGAIN.
VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST DRIVE/POWER, THEN IT DRIVE/POWER CAME BACK. SLOWED DOWN AND I DID NOT HAVE ANY ENGINE BRAKING, FELT LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. ONCE STOPPED, VEHICLE COULD ONLY DRIVE IN FIRST GEAR, AT VERY SLOW SPEED AND IT COULD NOT HOLD A STEADY SPEED.
WHILE ON OPEN FREEWAY WITH ADAPTIVE CRUISE SET AT 70MPH PASSED A SEMI TRUCK THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED VIOLENTLY. THIS OCCURED 3 SEPARATE TIMES.
AS IT RAIN OR DURING VEHICLE WASHINGS, NOTICE THAT WATER WAS LEAKING FROM THE A-FRAME TRIM ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. ALSO FOUND THAT WATER WAS COLLECTING INSIDE OF THE DRIVERSIDE REAR DOOR BETWEEN THE SHEET METAL. UNSURE OF HOW THE WATER MANAGE TO GET INSIDE AND COLLECT BETWEEN THE SHEET METAL. I REMOVED THE DOOR GASKET AND THE WATER DRAINED FROM THE BOTTOM HOLES THAT HOLDS THE DOOR GASKET ANCHORS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. COLLECTED CLOSE TO A HALF GALLON OF RAIN WATER. AS I WAS DRIVING I COULD HEAR THE WATER MOVING AROUND IN THE DOOR PANEL AND ORIGINALLY ASSUMED THAT IT WAS THE GAS IN THE GAS TANK, HOWEVER, AFTER I OPENED THE REAR DRIVERSIDE DOOR, I HEARD THE WATER MOVING AROUND INSIDE THE DOOR PANEL. WATER COLLECTS WHEN DRIVING AND WHEN VEHICLE IS STATIONARY.
MY 2015 F150 KING RANCH REAR WINDOW GLASS SHATTERED. I WAS DRIVING ON HE INTERSTATE I20 AND HEARD A BIG BANG AND THE GLASS SHATTERED AND I STOPPED. NO MARKS ARE ANYONE CLOSE TO ME WHILE DRIVING. DRIVING DOWN THE STREET, WITHOUT THE REAR DEFROST ON, AND HEARD A LARGE BOOM, WHICH I DISCOVERED THE NEXT MORNING WAS THE REAR WINDOW BLOWING OUT ON MY TRUCK. LOOKS LIKE THIS IS A COMMON SITUATION WITH THESE TYPES OF VEHICLES AND FORD IS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROBLEM. THERE IS A MASSIVE BLOG, WITH DOZENS OF ACCOUNTS OF SIMILAR EXPERIENCES. VEHICLE WAS GOING ABPROX 5 MPH AS I WAS JUST LEAVING FROM A STOP LIGHT. I WAS ON A CITY STREET IN RENO, NV. THIS HAPPENED ON 1/27/21 ABOUT 5:30PM. I CONTACT NV ENERGY TO SEE IF A TRANSFORMER HAD BLOWN, CHECKED VEHICLE FOR IMPACT FORM AN OBJECT, AND NO EVIDENCE OF EITHER. GLASS NOW IN THE VEHICLE AND CONTINUES TO FALL APART. JUST LUCKY I DIDN'T HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE BACK SEAT!!

I HAVE A2015 F 150 WITH 47,500 MILES. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE ENGINE JUST STOPPED. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SHOULDER WITHOUT GETTING HIT. WHEN I TRIED TO START THE TRUCK IT WOULD CRANK BUT WOULDN'T START. I ENDED UP CALLING MY MECHANIC HE TRIED TO JUMP IT DIDN'T START. HE TOWED THE TRUCK TO THE SHOP, HE ENDED UP CHANGING THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL PUMP MODULE. I LOOKED UP THE PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND MANY OTHER FORD TRUCK OWNERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I CONTACTED FORD THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. MY MECHANIC SAID THE PUMP SHOULD NOT GO BAD WITH THE MILEAGE MY TRUCK HAD. WHAT HAPPENED COULD HAVE LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT.
DURING COLD TEMPERATURES OUR TRUCK DOORS WILL NOT LATCH AND SEAL. THE ONBOARD SYSTEM READS THE PROBLEM AS AN OPEN DOOR SENDING WARNINGS. TO DRIVE, WE MUST HOLD THE DOOR SHUT AND LOCK IT SO IT WON'T FLY OPEN. ONCE TEMPERATURES RISE DURING THE DAY, THE PROBLEM RESOLVES ITSELF.

WHEN TURNING ONTO A ROAD AND STARTING TO ACCELERATE, THE TRUCK SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER AND THE TRACTION CONTROL, ADVANCE TRACTION CONTROL, HILL DESCENT CONTROL, MAINTENANCE REQUIRED LIGHT ALL CAME ON AND THE TRUCK WENT INTO LIMP MODE. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND AVOID BEING HIT.
SINCE PURCHASED, THE WINDSHIELD WASHERS FREEZE MAKING FOR UNSAFE DRIVING EVERY WINTER ANYTIME THE TEMP GETS BELOW 32. THIS CREATES AN EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITION. UNACCEPTABLE WHEN YOU HAVE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND KEEP THROWING SNOW ON THE WINDSHIELD TO CLEAR.
TRUCK FAULT CODE FLASHES AND TRUCK SHUTS DOWN INTO SAFE MODE. THREE TIMES IT OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT 70 MPH AND THE FOURTH TIME IT HAPPENED IN AN A SIDE ROAD DOING 35 MPH. EVERY TIME THE SAME THING HAPPENED, THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN IN SAFE MODE SHOWING FAULT CODES. I WOULD STOP, IT WOULD IDLE VERY ROUGH, I WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE IT AS IT WOULD NOT REV OR LET ME INCREASE RPM. I WOULD HAVE TO SHUT OFF TRUCK, TURN IT BACK ON, IT WOULD RESET AND DRIVE LIKE NORMAL. TOOK TO COURTESY FORD FOUR TIMES TO DIAGNOSE AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING, I BOUGHT A CODE READY AND THE TRUCK WENT INTO FAULT CODE AND SAFETY MODE AGAIN, THE CODE READ P2112. FORD FOUND TSB 16-0139 APPLIED AND REPLACED THROTTLE BODY AND CHARGED ME $496.95 FOR REPAIR. 2015 FORD F150 WITH 58K MILES.
MY TRUCK ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WAS DRIVING THAN IMMEDIATELY LOST POWER AND SHUT OFF AFTER SENDING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEM REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY IT WAS STILL DOING THIS WITH A RATTLE NOISE. IT GOT TO THE POINT WHERE MY TRUCK AT 52,000 MILES DID THIS EXACT THING AGAIN AND BLEW WHITE SMOKE AND A HOLE NOW IS IN THE OIL PAN.
THE VEHICLE WENT INTO "LIMP MODE"
WHILE PARKED, WITH ENGINE OFF, HAD NOT BEEN RUNNING, KEYS OUT OF IGNITION, THE ENGINE COOLING FANS COME ON AT HIGH AND WILL NOT GO OFF UNTIL BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTED. UPON RECONNECTING CABLE NEXT DAY, FANS COME ON HIGH AGAIN. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. HAS KILLED THE BATTERY AND FEARFUL OF ELECTRICAL FIRE.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
