You could feel stutters and bumps while the truck was driving on the flat surface of the freeway. The truck started to go into limp mode on the freeway so we had to pull over.

For about 1 year, the fuel remaining has been drastically uncertain. The standard dash gauge; the secondary instrument indicating gallons / miles remaining till empty; and the tertiary warning light indicating low fuel, are totally unreliable. Example: “5 miles to Empty” is actually approximately 15 gallons remaining. Very recent, the tertary warning light has stopped functioning altogether. This may indicate an electrical short or other fault in the fuel tank / system. With a capacity of about 35 gallons, I could easily miscalculate fuel used and end up stranded in the middle of nowhere or in a dangerous part of a city.

I had to pull to the curve and I switch it off. After restarting it I could resume driving. There is a for CSP in place for a faulty molded lead frame for the transmission. While driving my vehicle will downshift to 1st gear randomly. One time it happened at 60mph and I almost crashed. I just called Ford to get it handled and they say there is no recall on this life threatening malfunction only an extended warranty in which I do not qualify because I have exceeded the mileage limit of 150,000 miles or 10 years from original warranty start. I am currently at 165,000 miles. Ford claims they sent a disclaimer I'm the mailer back in 2019 but I never received it or I would have had this issue addressed then because it had already happened a couple times by then. So now I'm waiting for a customer service supervisor to call me but they haven't yet....they are unwilling to help me and told me to call the Better Business Bureau if I don't like it.

On August 8, 2022 I noticed a "low brake fluid" warning light on the dash of my Ford F150 truck and experienced greatly reduced brake function. There was no sign of brake fluid on the garage floor. I had AAA tow the truck to a repair shop where they diagnosed a leak from the master cylinder to the brake boost. The master cylinder reservoir was completely and at this point the brakes were completely non functional. I had the repair shop replace the master cylinder, brake boost and do a fuel system maintenance since some of the fluid was found in that system. Total cost to repair was $1583.83.

While driving down highway at highway speeds, the truck shifted in to 1st gear by itself causing a near collision. I had to get to the side of the road quickly almost causing a fatal accident. I got it to a Ford dealer and the service department said the leadframe on the transmission had started to fail causing the transmission to change gears on its own and also shorted out the instrument control panel. I found out Ford knew about the problem with the defective parts but did not inform me. They also had a Customer Satisfaction recall for this problem up to 150,000 miles. My vehicle has 153,000 miles so Ford will not replace the defective part under the recall. With what I experienced with this part failure, I believe this should be a safety recall before someone gets killed, if they have not already done so. Cars, like appliances, should be designed to fail safely not fail in such a way as to endanger the occupants and other vehicles around them.

I was pulling a heavy load within the weight limit for my truck. I started down a steep grade 10mph below speed limit. I went to brake and I had none. The pedal was super hard. The check brake system light came on. I was freaking out because i was picking up speed fast. I had no choice but to shift to manual and down shift to try to slow down. It down shifted from 3rd to second but that was not enough to stop me. I was standing on the brakes. Luckily a "run away truck ramp" was coming up which i entered at about 30 mph. I am a very experienced driver and I was able to avoid a horrible accident but other people might not be so lucky. My brakes were fairly new and there was zero warning that they were about to fail completely. I looked online and saw hundreds of other drivers that had experienced this. Why is it not a recall? I could have died.

Driving down highway at 65 miles per hour the truck lurched forward and acted like it had a total loss of power. The speedometer dropped to 0 and stayed. The airbag light came on. The truck downshifted from 6 gear to 1 st gear instantly , throwing the truck into a slide. I lost control of it , went into a ditch came back up on the road as it proceeded to lurch forward and stop consistently like it was possessed ! I threw it into neutral and as the motor was redlining as well. The center info screen went blank and a wrench appeared on it to the right. I drove to my work in 3 rd gear and it shifted up to 5 th. But would not shift down up past that. I had it towed to the only dealer that worked on transmission recalls. I paid 65$ to have it towed. They did the reprogramming as per Ford. I got it back a month later. Worked great for 4 days then on my way to a tire rotation at 71 mph it did it again . Downshifted to 1 st. Violently. This time I almost got hit by a semi truck! Had it towed again , cost me 90$ this time. Same place. They got in a fix part for it some ring assembly that goes in transmission. Gonna cost me over 370$ for certain parts the recall won’t cover. We will see if this fixes it

While driving down the road the low brake fluid light came on. I drove to a safe stopping area and found the brake fluid reservoir was completely empty. I checked for leaks at all areas under the hood and at brake calipers. No signs of any leaks nor any fluid on the ground. Filled reservoir and drove less than 1 mile and the low brake fluid light came on again. Stopped and checked the brake fluid reservoir and once again it was empty, still no signs of any leaks: based on research I have determined that it is a known problem with this make/model and year of the master cylinder seal going bad which causes the fluid to be sucked into the brake booster.

I was driving my truck in north Georgia while towing a trailer under 5000 lbs. The truck was in cruis control at 68 mph and the truck suddenly down shifted from 5th to 1st. I got the truck off the interstate at a reduced speed since it wouldn't shift up. When this happened an orange wrench light came on. When I stopped I turned the truck off and the light went away. We fueled up and got on the road. Shortly after the truck did the same thing with dropping to first gear and felt like it lost power steering. We pulled over and detached the trailer. I then got back on the road and after getting off the interstate and to slower roads the truck did the same thing. Every time the truck did this it reset the lights on the dash.
