On my way to work I turned on the rear defrost and heard a loud bang after 15 minutes. I pulled over to see what had happened and the read driver side windshield pain had shattered. it remained in the laminate but I got a replacement quote and its almost $1000 dollars. After doing research this is a major problem with the defrost mechanism on these trucks with no known fix. I'm glad it stayed in take but the glass is continuously cracking as I drive and i cannot get the repair done until Thursday and the dealer said they can do nothing except replace the glass and hope it doesn't happen again.

My 2013 Ford F150 has been throwing wrench light while downshifting automatically. for months. Then I lose my speedometer and the airbag light illuminates. I also have had random downshifting that causes a lock up in the back end (basically giving the feeling of slamming on the breaks). I took my vehicle in to Ford dealership on 12/8/22 and they did states that it was part of the 19N01 lead frame recall. My truck was at around 104,000 miles. I have called multiple times with no luck on when part will be available. I have no other vehicle to drive and ford has not offered any type of resolution. After having the rear end lock up multiple times I am concerned to continue driving the vehicle. I am also very concerned with what kind of other damage all this erratic downshifting is doing to my vehicle, especially the automatic transmission.

Ford knowingly has allowed a faulty design on its 3.5 Ecoboost engine where the exhaust manifold bolts shear off on it's first generation motor. The exhaust manifold bolts shear off allowing exhaust gases to enter the cab thru the firewall. The sheared bolts and leaking manifold also alter the emissions of the vehicle. Exhaust gases in the cab of the vehicle would explain my headaches when driving longer distances. The local Ford Dealer has inspected and confirmed this is a known issue with multiple F-150's manufactured from 2011 -2017. The manufacturer has redesigned the system in vehicles starting in 2018 but has refused to resolve the issue for previous years. The repair estimate from the dealer is $3944. There were no warning signs of the failure and no communications from the manufacturer of this issue prior to a routine service being performed by the local dealer. The manufacturer has been unwilling to resolve this issue to date.

So the safety recall dealing with the (OSS) I just had done. However, the 0720 or 0702 issue that Ford has implemented an Extended warranty on the Transmission Lead Frame is a fatality waiting to happen. This is every bit a safety hazard as the down shift issue. This issue causes your speedometer to go dead, all of your gauges except the gas to go negative and your gears will go from 1st to 3rd, or 1st to 5th. The issue with this, I cant count how many times I've been at a stop sign or light, waiting to pull into traffic when I have an opportunity , I pull out and my truck just Boggs down because it has shifted from 1st to 5th from a dead stop... now, I've pulled out into traffic with traffic approaching at speed and instead of being able to get up to speed myself I'm a sitting duck! This is crazy, you never know when it's gonna happen, but it happens to me at least 3-6 times a trip. Now I just had the recall updated today, but when they ran the diagnostics to confirm I have the 0702 issue and they can fix it under the extended warranty, the part is anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months out. LOL. That's rediculous. I clearly can't go that long without my vehicle. And Ford isn't gonna give any sort of compensation for a loaner car or rental car for this issue. So I'm stuck driving a vehicle that is a major safety factor everytime I'm on the road. If I could guarantee it wouldn't hurt anyone else, i wish I would get in an accident. Then we could hold Ford accountable for this safet
