Battery drain issue caused by over the air updates causing Low Battery warnings to occur. This issue has been repeatedly looked at and brought to the dealership since purchase. Alternator replaced at dealership. Battery replaced at dealership. Updates forced by dealership, multiple times. Battery minder installed to ensure start during winter months due to constant BMS warnings of 12V Battery State of Charge Low and infotainment Low Power Mode notifications. OTA update currently causing this issue. Attempted to clear by personally, by plugging battery minder in overnight for consecutive nights, prior to booking 40k mile service with dealership. Brought in for service, found battery state of charge reading below 50%. Recovered to above 70%. Requested I let the OTA attempt to complete overnight. OTA has continued to fail for the last 3 days, even while on the battery minder. Vehicle is driven at least 1 hour per day. BMS sensor installed: ML3T-10C652-BA. Due to the power consumption reduction saving functions of the system, low power mode causes functions and features of the vehicle to slowly turn off and support only the driver access when in low power mode. This includes terminating the gateway module that the OTA update is required to verify and validate completion with. This also changes reported settings in the infotainment system to appear as if the driver has deactivated WiFi, causing an inaccurate assessment of issues by technicians. If you pull onto a road and try to accelerate, the vehicle is unresponsive. The RPMs will increase, yet the vehicle drive train (10 Speed Transmission) is unresponsive for several seconds. This has been an ongoing issue with the vehicle since new and was first reported to Ford Customer service on Jan 2022. Ford has made several attempts to fix this issue, yet the transmission continues to fail with the same issue. This is a critical safety issue that jeopardizes the passengers in the vehicle. Vehicle parking brake engages without notice. At any given time, the electronic parking brake engages without warning and you have to manually release. While sitting at a controlled intersection, on an inclined street, waiting for traffic light to change, with vehicle in Drive, foot on the brake, the electric parking brake engaged. Vehicle shift lever moved to the park position on its own. Vehicle engages it's parking brake and moves shift lever into Park while sitting in traffic is very dangerous. Vehicle shift column failed in drive and vehicle would not move or run. This caused drive train to lock in place, freezing all four tires. Ford had to drag truck onto flat bed with tires locked. It had to be dragged off flatbed when delivered to Ford dealer for repair. They had to put grease down on the flatbed so truck would slide off without tires rolling. While at the dealership, the mechanic had to manually disconnect the calipers in order to move vehicle. The safety backup features failed

My 2021 F-150 Powerboost randomly shuts down on the highway and while pulling out into traffic. When it shuts down the steering and brakes work but the engine is off/no acceleration and the truck displays a warning telling me to "Stop Safely Now". Truck has been look at many times by Ford and every time they give it back to me it happens again. There appears to be either and electrical or software issue but after 3 months Ford doesn't seem to know what's wrong with the truck even though they have reproduced the problem. It has happened over 20 times putting me and my family at risk of getting in an accident.

On November 29, 2023 I took my 2021 F150 to Larry Miller Ford for servicing and repairs related to Recalls 22S71 and 23S35. When the tech was rotating the wheels he discovered that the axle shaft bolts were sheered off on both the left and right rear wheels. The service manager called to tell me that this was a serious safety issue and that only the brake rotors were preventing the wheels from falling off the truck. The service manager told me there was a "Customer Satisfaction Program 22B34" issued by Ford, but no Ford Recall relating to the problem. Larry Miller Ford has replaced both axles and axle bolts. I am waiting to find out if there is damage to the rotors, calipers or brake pads, a concern since the sheered off bolts were rattling around within that area since breaking off apparently between service visits. I strongly believe Ford should be required to issue a recall on this problem. I never received a notification on CSP 22B34. Had it not been for my tire rotation, the wheels could have fallen off at highway speed.

Radio started blasting a boom/ static sound from the rear speakers and subwoofer; extremely loud and has occurred multiple times. It had previously made a similiar sound occasionally at start up which when under warranty was always diagnosed as unable to duplicate but is now occuring while driving and I am out of warranty. Very startling and distracting when it occurs. Has occured multiple times and lasts upto an hour before I gave up an parked my vehicle. Have a special needs minimally verbal disabled child who is very sensitive to noise (rear speakers are always turned off via fade to front) who was very impacted by this loud explosion of chaos/ noise when it occured with him in the car. Ford response: since out of warranty can pay for diagnostic and repairs. Don't expect NHTSA to care as they weren't concerned with my complaint regarding complete loss of brakes (incomplete or bad programming) with this truck but maybe this will let others know they arent alone if they have this issue.

When making 90° turns such as an immediate right turn or a left turn across one lane, gas pedal becomes completly unresponsive halfway through the turn for approx 3 seconds. Occurs about 1% of the time but drastic when it occurs. Almost multiple accidents have occured with oncoming traffic almost t-boning me when making left turns or being rear ended on right turns: people don't anticipate a vehicle stalling and slowing down when entering traffic and people have swerved into other lanes or the shoulder to avoid a collision. When this occurs, it is like the vehicle goes brain dead, the gas pedal can be pushed to any threshold including floored with no change to speed; rpms dont even increase. Vehicle has been through Ford troubleshooting multiple times and at one point early on, had a Ford engineering/ specialist working remotely with the dealership. Findings from this specialist: two upcoming ota updates will be released that will resolve this concern. One of the updates was in regards to the trailer brake module and the other something else as equally ridiculous as not pertaining to my issue. OTA updates came and issue never went away. Years later, multiple appointments with techs saying unable to duplicate. Dealer now saying they have no record of working with a specialist even though I have the service records from them stating this and electronic communications from Ford regarding this. The issue is not resolved and still occurring. Vehicle now out of warranty so likely w

I heard a scratchy rattling sound around 35-36k miles at very low speeds. Eventually narrowed it down to the passenger rear wheel area. I took off the wheel to inspect the area and the head of the axle bolt fell out. It looked to have been yielded from over torquing or something. But I was shocked! I have no idea the actual period of failure. If I hadn’t rolled my windows down for the nice weather, I probably wouldn’t have heard it. I checked and there has been no recall or anything sent to me that this is a problem. I tow a camper with the family and if the axle failed while doing so, it could of killed us. Very unhappy that Ford has not recalled this. There are many others on a Facebook group that have had the same issue. It needs to be Remedied.

Active Air Dam: My 2021 Ford F150 XLT truck has an active air dam, (AAD), that is suppose to move downwards at speeds of 40mph or greater to help with aerodynamics. This is to help the truck hug the road better at highway speeds. When the truck slows down to under 40mph, the AAD is suppose to recess back up an be tucked away behind the stationary air dam. They started these AAD's on their trucks in the model year of 2021. It has been a widely known issue that the AAD design is flawed and they malfunction and get stuck on the front air dam. Some have came loose and flown off into other vehicles on the roadways. This presents a safety hazard to the owners and other vehicles on the road. Ford refuses to fix it stating that their extended warranty does not cover the parts. This is NOT a warranty issue, this is a poor design issue and a faulty part issue that is going to cause someone to get seriously injured or worse, killed. Some people have reported that their AAD flew off their truck and they didn't even notice until the service tech at the dealership told them during an oil change. So that means their are people out there that are driving with this hazardous part flying off their truck and where is it going? Into the traffic following behind, and what are those drivers going to do when it comes hurling at them at a high rate of speed? Most likely slam on their brakes, causing a rear end collision, or they serve to avoid it and either hit an on coming vehicle head-on or slam i

First event (after exiting the truck) the truck rolled into a shipping dock breaking a taillight and buckling the rear bumper. Next two I had one foot on running board and one foot in the truck ant was able to hit the brake stopping the truck. This fourth event one foot was on the running board and one on the ground. As truck went back the door flattened me to the ground and the front tires rolled over both of my legs. The truck rolled up an inclined parking lot, across a busy road and down a bank. I was driven by ambulance to the hospital and then transferred and airlifted to trauma center at Ruby Memorial Hospital. My vehicle had the exact failure described by the recall (including the tell-tale ticking sound before failure). However, the build date for my vehicle is March 17th, 2021. Planned one week, 1,400 miles roadtrip along pacific coast during memorial day weekend. Before starting our trip I went to rotate the tires and upon removing the rear passenger side wheel a bolt and metal gasket fell out. Issue: Center bolt that locks the brake assembly to the rear axle shaft was sheared off with remaining half stuck in the axle shaft. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk?: The truck would have been loaded for our week long roadtrip up North. On the way back we were going to tow our 5000lbs trailer.
