While driving 45-50 mph, without any warning or indication, there was a sudden loss of power and the ability to accelerate. The engine and all electric components were still working but I was not able to accelerate, only coast. There was a wrench warning light, Hill side assist error message, and airbag warning light that showed up on the dash. After pulling over safely, the car was turned off for roughly 30 seconds and restarted. After restarting the vehicle, all systems seemed to work properly. After driving a few days and avoiding any highways, I have not had this happen again. I decided to error on the side of caution and take the vehicle to the dealership for further diagnostics. The dealership stated that they are unable to duplicate the problem. 2015 Ford Edge Titanium, AWD, V6
The panoramic sun roof has cracked suddenly due to stress. There was no damage or fracture due to an impact from a rock or other outside projectile. The glass roof has simply begun to fail due to stress. I am having this issue repaired next week, but I have taken pictures for documentation. I was able to find forums online where numerous people have complained about this issue with what appears to be years 2015-2017 Ford Edges.
Coolant intrusion in cylinders on the engine 2.7 ecoboost Ford made a bad engineering decision on the headers and block to allow coolant to flow through the gaskets to get to the other side of the cylinder. Now with a vehicle only 98K miles I'm expected to pay more than the car is worth to get it fixed or be out of a vehicle or find a scrape yard or someone to buy it off of me just to save some money. I can't trust any American auto makers with my money going forward. Auto shop Notes - The vehicle has the history code of P0316- misfire detected in the first 1,000 revolutions and P0304- Cylinder four misfire detected. The active counters was checked and it is steady on four but the other cylinders will drop random. The vehicle will smoke coolant out of the tailpipe also. This all indicates the failure of the head and/or head gasket and possible the block. This engine is known for head and block issues. It is advised to replace the engine only, repairs is not recommended do to the severe condition on the engine and the known concerns.

Car has ~119k miles on it. Driven ~ 100 miles daily (predominantly highway). Flywheel made noise and broke within 2 days last week.
2 fly wheels have been changed with ford parts within the last 2.5 years. There is a leak coming from the lower part of the engine through the weep hole. Rear main seal was changed and now it leaks more. We cannot locate source of leak. Crank shaft "walk" is suspected. We are in the process or ordering a brand new engine to replace the existing one that has 157K miles on it.

2015 Ford Edge SEL with Ecoboost 2.0L left us sit while driviing with no warning whatsoever and had to be towed. Our mechanic indicated bottom of engine blew out and needs replaced and has seen this before on a Ford Edge. Vehicle regularly serviced and maintained and is in near perfect condition other than the blew engine.
First my front right brake line severed in 2023. I took it to Les Schwab and had it repaired and I paid for it. Later, I found out it was part of a "Recall". The local Ford Dealer said they could not reimburse me for my repair cost due to timing issues. However, they replaced both front brake lines (even though the right side had already been recently replaced). Yesterday, my rear brake line is severely damaged and leaking brake fluid and my brakes are "soft". This is not not safe. Why were only the front brake lines recalled? What about the rear brake lines? Les Schwab is trying to repair my car. They can't get a new rear brake line. They contacted Ford and were told the rear brake line comes from Minnesota and that there are none in stock in western US. According to Ford it has to be ordered and will take 2 weeks. I called several Ford numbers for Customer Service and support. They are not willing to help me out. I was told I would have to bring my car to a Ford Dealer and have it diagnosed by Ford before they could order the rear brake line. It takes 2 weeks to get an appointment. Then once Ford diagnoses my car, they will order the part which would take another 2 weeks. I can't drive my car for one month with bad brakes.! I need my vehicle to go to work. If Ford knows the front brake lines are inferior and sub par and thus subject to a recall, how can they ignore the back brake lines? How can the recall only be limited to front brakes? Furthermore, I should not have 2 sep

My car only has 73,367 miles on it and was experiencing a misfire on #4 cylinder. My Ford dealer ran a test on it and said coolant from the 2.0 EcoBoost is leaking into the cylinder and it will burn up the engine which could lock up on me while driving. This is a known defect, but Ford has not done a recall on it. My dealer told me they have heard Ford Co helping some people with the replacement cost, so why won't they help everyone? It is ridiculous to have to get a whole new engine (which is what our dealer is suggesting) when my car has such low mileage. Is there anyone I could reach out to for help getting this defect recalled and fixed? Fortunately, I found about this danger before I drove it too long and the engine froze up on my while driving. We are senior citizens on a low fixed income and cannot afford a new car. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was recently driving home from work in rush hour traffic. At a stop light I began to accelerate and my car jerked extremely hard. Once I got to the next stoplight my Ford Edge began to shake violently. I was startled and didn’t know what to do. I was in the middle of traffic and it the shaking was incredibly scary. I got the car onto the mechanic only to be told that it’s the Torque Converter Shutter. Ford states that there’s no recall on this issue but it should be. My vehicle has less than 100k and this shouldn’t have happened.
Traveling 80mph on turnpike and lost all ability to propel vehicle forward due to broken flex plate. Car just stopped driving and steering became an issue as I coasted to the shoulder in the middle of no where miles and miles from a place of business. No warning. The only sign was a loud rattle from the bell housing. Broken flex plate happened 3 times this year 2023. First repair $2400 by AAA mechanic shop, second time (4 months later) covered by parts warranty, 3rd time (2 months later) and Ford wants $4500 and no reimbursement for the first repair.
My 2015 Ford Edge was in my garage. I opened the garage door to leave and started the vehicle. It said my hatchback was open . I got out to shut it and left the driver door open. Upon closing the hatch my vehicle began rolling backwards. I was hit in the leg and shoulder while getting out of the way of the car. I also sustained cuts on my hand from the open car door. We have a steep approach to our garage and live on an acreage with timber. The vehicle rolled down the approach to the garage and into and through the timber before it hit a tree big enough to stop it. At the body shop the repairman said he moved the car and put it in park and got out but the car then began rolling back on him as well. He was able to get in and stop it. Insurance has declared the car a total loss. I saw some 2015 edge vehicles had recalls for possibly rolling after being put in park. The NHTSA campaign id is 22v413000. My VIN number was not included in the recall so I wanted to report it in case it should have been.

The dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.
Brake line that was recalled and repaired ruptured and is causing a brake fluid leak and increased pedal travel, increased braking distance, and overall unsafe driving conditions
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while the vehicle was in for service, the mechanic discovered that the lug nuts were deformed and very difficult to remove from the wheels. The failure was present on the lug nuts on all four wheels. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 48,000.
I’m not a car expert. However, this suv has been rusting for some time in (1) one spot. Why? Because there seems to be a manufacture defect in or on the door body structure. I am concerned that the rust my be effecting my safety when driving and May fall off eventually. Causing injury. I can not get an explanation from FORD as the why this is happening! Other than it must be a manufacturer issue/defect etc.
My vehicle only has 74K miles and the Ford dealership told me I need to replace all lug nugs because they are swollen and will need to be broken off. This is a $200 cost at the dealership for replacement. If purchased at store it is $60 plus someone to change them out. No way at $74k miles this should happen. I've seen many other posts about the same this with this years model. Also since I have aluminum rims, the lugs are hard to locate anywhere. They must have the "mushroom" offset with long attachment.
*Rear window shattered. Yes for inspection if done in next couple days before repair. *Loud bang was startling. Thought someone hit me. *No *Not yet *No
I recently learned that there is a coolant leak in my engine in cylinder 2 which has now blown a gasket and causing the engine to fail. I was told the entire engine needs to be replaced. After doing research i learned ford release a service bulletin to address this issue but they do not accept liability for this defect. A quick google search will show many many ford customers are affected by this issue and ford needs to address the concerns and issue a recall and offer to replace the engine.
The brake fluid is leaking rapidly. The brakes will work fine and them 30 minutes late, upon restarting the vehicle, the brakes are extremely spongey and it takes a very, very long time to brake at all. Because it occurs suddenly and without warning and no warning lights display on the dash to anticipate the issue, pedestrians are most at risk, in Ashton to putting myself and other drivers and property owners at risk of being struck.

Another car ran a red light and I unfortunately tboned them with the front of my vehicle causing my car to be totaled. Because my airbags did not go off I was thrown into the window causing a head injury and an ambulance ride to the hospital. I have yet to have it be inspected to see if there were airbags or if there was a faulty issue with them. Police stated to me that they could not believe the airbags did not go off from the crash. The vehicle has been inspected by insurance for auto damage but not an in depth look to see if there was an issue with the airbags. There were no warning lamps or messages about the airbags.

Moonroof stuck open. Motor will not work. Cannot close moonroof or shade. I had to use a tarp to cover the hole in the roof until I could get it to the dealer to close the roof. They charged me $114.40 plus tax. They advised I not try to open it again because it may never close. Sea Breeze Ford mechanic told me the repair would be between $2K and $7K. This is outrageous. My personal mechanic said I should contact Ford directly for a resolution. I did and they said there is nothing they can do since there is no recall at the moment. I am now contacting your department for help.
I own a 2015 Ford Edge 4 door SEL with 76k miles which I purchased in 2017 as the second owner. The dealership sold me 5 new lug nuts due to swollen original lug nuts. One lug nut cap were damaged during routine removal to replace an 8 yr old failing tire pressure sensor. I was told the lugs were swollen and had to be replaced. This seemed OBSURD. I researched this to find out that the OBSURDITY was that Ford Motor Company had been sued about this and it is a known defect of Ford vehicles. Quietly known. I am submitting this complaint because of the defective lug nuts that are a known issue, and could have been replaced at the dealership from the very first oil change or routine maintenance appointment. These defective parts routinely strand motorists or cause unnecessary excess costs to the owners when the actual fix is far less than $1 for each. when the entire vehicle uses only 20, this is negligence on the part of Ford Motor company. As a consumer on a fixed income, who purchased the bumper to bumper warranty from Ford, the neglected $20 fix of MY vehicle has cost me over $75 so far, and if the dealership (an extension of Ford Motor Company) has their way, they are happy to charge me that for my 3 remaining tires. A total consumer burden of $300 (per the dealership pricing) for a $20 fix by the manufacturer. All becuase the know problem causes a financial burden and not enough consumers have actually had physical or catestrophic accidents,... yet. A RECALL is REQUIRED. If
