Main instrument cluster panel goes completely black. Not able to see what gear vehicle is in, gas miles till empty. Digital speedometer is gone. If a safety warning pops up you cant see it. Started about a month ago and took it in for repair. Ford said it was a module and it was fixed for 2 weeks but it is now doing it again. Dealer is aware of the issue and apparently is happening in other Ford Broncos according to the main Bronco forum.
When turning right, with the turn signal active, the turn signal will over-correct back to neutral and activate the left turn signal. This happens almost every time a sharp right turn is made, such as leaving a parking lot. The signal stalk must then by manually moved back to neutral. This is repeatable and occurs multiple times a week. This creates risk by presenting a false left turn signal to other drivers. This is a common issue on the Bronco, but Ford Motor Company has not provided a fix, TSB, or Recall.

When turning the steering wheel right or left going in a slight decline or incline the wheel seems to lock up or requires a hard pull to move the wheel, its now to the point my wife can no longer drive the car. I have almost run off the road one time and just this morning almost hit my neighbors mail box I am taking the car to the dealer but they say there is no recall, There are certain models of the same year that are being recalled, I think the company, slow in adding models of my type. I have stopped driving the car, Hopefully the dealer will fix it.k to the dealer and Ford and both say this problem is not part of the recall. the car has 27000 miles and is 3 years old.

Random cracks to my hard top with no damage
When parking or turning at stop lights periodically my steering wheel will lock up and become extremely hard to turn. I get stuck in the middle of an intersection or a parking lot not being able to turn my wheel. I have had the dealership look at it however they could not recreate the issue. The only warning I can feel is the steering starts to tighten up.
I am on my 3rd Fuel Pump, it is currently at the Ford Dealership. My wife was accelerating through an intersection, making a left turn, when the engine shuddered, stalled and quite running. Luckily her momentum was able to get her through the intersection and avoid oncoming traffic. The Dealer has installed the 3rd faulty pump with the previous pump only lasting 3 months. Upon research this is a widespread manufacturing issues with the 2.7 ecoboost. I firmly believe this engine/fuel pump should be recalled due to the frequent malfunctions.
The D-pillar clips are flimsy and break easily resulting in a soft top back panel that is no longer water proof and could fall apart.

Driving in wet sticky snow the unheated LED headlamps collect snow quickly and provide almost zero projection of light forward. When driving in areas without overhead lighting at night this becomes a serious safety concern and may lead to a serious accident when drivers cannot see any possible obstructions in the roadway or accurately see the edge of the road surface. Have been unable to demonstrate this flaw to any dealers due to snow being unpredictable and dealerships being closed at night. I do have dash cam video showing the issue that can be provided for review, video uploaded to youtube here [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
On 03/31/25 at approx. 12:45 AM our 2022 Ford Wild Trak was engulfed in fire while parked on our driveway. There were no occupants, and it had last been operated on 3/30/25 at approximately 1030 PM. During its last operation there was nothing abnormal to indicate the potential of a engine fire (no warning lights, messages, unusual smell or odors, performance issues, smoke, or fire). Upon observing the Ford Bronco Wild Trak for the first time the engine compartment was fully engulfed, and it was clear the fire had started in the engine compartment. The flames from the Ford Bronco Wild Trak eventually spread to a second vehicle destroying it down to the frame and causing enough damage to a third vehicle rendering it a total loss. All three vehicles were within 4 feet of our residence and the flames were hot enough it melted the garage door window frames. The Ford Bronco Wild Trak is frequently parked in our garage, and it been we would have lost our home and the lives of all four family member would have been put at risk. Researching Ford Bronco Wild Trak engine fires, we discovered that Ford Bronco Sports and Ford Escapes both have recalls due to faulty fuel injectors resulting in engine fires. The fuel injectors in Ford Bronco Wild Trak’s are similar to the fuel injectors in both the Ford Bronco Sports and Escapes. Due to the similarity between the Ford Bronco Sports and Escapes with the Wild Trak fuel Injectors we are asking for the NTSBA to initiate an investigation into Fo

While idling, the engine died. I attempted to restart several times with no luck. Battery was working, but engine would not start. Towed to Ford dealership and had to have the fuel pump replaced. Car had around 10k miles and recently went through an inspection.
My 2022 Manual transmission has been making a scraping sound when cold since I bought it. I've had 2 dealerships not do anything about it and I feel for paying $65,000 for a vehicle, it shouldn't be making this noise and it could be a safety concern.

Hazardous Recall Issue Not Being Addressed Short Term With Permanent Safety Solution Many Months Away Creating Liability For Me, Destroying My Property and Putting Myself and Other Motorist In Jeopardy. For the past month fluid from my Ford Bronco has been leaking leaving stains on newly paved driveway. We just received the following recall... REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS MAY EXPERIENCE CORROSION BETWEEN THE EXTERNAL RESERVOIR MOUNTING FLANGE AND THE DAMPER BODY, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE SEPARATION OF THE EXTERNAL RESERVOIR. CUSTOMERS MAY EXPERIENCE... LEAKING FLUID NEAR THE REAR WHEELS PRIOR TO THE DETACHMENT OF AN EXTERNAL RESERVOIR. Safety Risk IF A REAR SHOCK ABSORBER EXTERNAL RESERVOIR SEPARATES FROM THE VEHICLE, IT CAN CREATE A POTENTIAL ROAD HAZARD FOR OTHER ROAD USERS, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. Even though the notice says the recall resolution is not expected for over 6 months, I was willing to pay the deductible for my Ford Warranty to get the safety issue fixed, even if I never get reimbursed for Ford's vehicle issue. Since this is a safety issue and are fearful of the the reservoir tank separating since our vehicle is already loosing significant fluid from the reservoir. I brought my vehicle into the local Ford dealership and they confirmed the issue with my car is the same regarding the Recall notice. Even with the warranty, Ford has rejected the claim to replace the shock absorbers. So now I just have to wait while it destroys my driveway and hope a detachment doesn't

The rear backup camera intermittently is black or has the last backup image being shown. I took my Bronco into the Ford dealer where nothing could be found wrong after having my Bronco for two days. I was told if the backup camera malfunctioned happened again to take video and pictures of what happened, then bring into the dealer that day if the dealer was open so they could see if they issue remained. I did and was told by another service representative the service department couldn't take a look at the vehicle today a Friday and to bring it in Monday. When I got back my Bronco and restarted the rear camera was functioning correctly. I do have pictures and video of the last image remaining when I placed my Bronco in reverse. One image on the left side of the IMG_5347.jpeg attached shows the image of the reverse image prior to the current backup image. The right side of the picture shows the actual image in reverse. The image IMG_5348.jpeg shows the mileage and the vehicle in reverse. The pdf documents the Ford dealer service department could not find the issue that happen prior to 09/04/2024 service date. I have a video of trying to use the backup camera with the previous image shown in left side of the screen showing what happens. It doesn't happen all the time. If you turnoff vehicle and restart the issue goes away.
Vehicle was shifted into 4L on a relative flat surface. Vehicle would not indicate successful transfer to 4L, just a blinking 4L indicator light and then a message to place vehicle in N and then pull forward. After unsuccessful attempt to engage 4L, tried to return to regular driving mode and vehicle would not. After turning car off and even disconnecting battery, vehicle would not function as expected. Returned to the vehicle and got a Powertrain Malfunction error and service message. Called Ford and had it shipped to Landers Ford in Southaven Mississippi and awaiting inspection.
Stitching and seals on the soft top have separated creating concern over large tear that could separate the soft top material from the frame and cause a safety issue. Brought this to the attention of the local dealer and said it would be addressed but they failed to address issue with return communication from dealer. Took to another dealer and Ford refused to repair despite it being approved previously and the stitching separating even further. The vehicle has been well maintained and not abused in any form or fashion. This is a concerning issue
There is a bulletin that ford sent out that includes wipers intermittently not working properly when detecting rain. The issue happens when the normal steady wiper speed is selected and the issue isn’t resolved until the wipers are turned off and on again then the issue persists. Ford will not cover this issue even with a bulletin for a car 2,000 miles over their warranty. Further more fords extended warranty they offer at their dealerships will not cover this issue as well even though it extends the manufacturer warranty. This is a safety issue while driving in the rain
I pulled up to a parking spot and when I tried to brake to place my car into park my brakes would not engage and my vehicle kept moving forward. I had to slam my car into park to prevent from slamming into a barrier. My rear camera goes in and out of a blank screen when “backing up” or reversing.
Drivers side front door window vibrates and shakes significantly when in the open half-way position or less. When driving over bumps, rough roads, offroad it is very present. Window has to remain closed or fully open position. Hall Ford Dealer in Elizabeth City NC has been aware and confirmed it's an issue but they don't have a fix for it.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 55 MPH, the electronic traction control failed causing the vehicle to become unstable and difficult to steer or control. Additionally, the braking system had malfunctioned, and the brake pedal was firm while depressed, and the driver was unable to immediately stop the vehicle. The driver was able to steer the vehicle from the middle lane to the shoulder and used the parking brake to slow the vehicle to an eventual stop. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. During the failure, the driver’s side rear axle and the rear driver’s side wheel studs and aftermarket lug nuts were damaged and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 13,664.
The vehicle’s back-up camera completely malfunctions about 20% - 30% of the time making it completely impossible to see anything behind the vehicle when backing up. Sometimes, when the vehicle is put into reverse, the display screen will be completely dark, other times the image freezes on a load up image or screen and there is no display of what is behind the vehicle, and worst of all, other times the display will lock on the first image from the rear facing camera and not show real-time video of what is behind the vehicle, making the driver think it is safe to back up when it may not be. The vehicle has been brought to two different Ford dealerships three different times over the last two years regarding this problem. The first time I was told the problem had been addressed. The problem continued to occur. The second time, I was told the issue could not be addressed at that time. I was told that Ford Corp was aware of the problem but they did not have a fix available at that time. I was told that Ford Corp was working on software enhancements that would be available sometime in the future that would address the issue. The problem continued to occur. The third time I was advised the problem could not be addressed at that time and “Ford is working on additional software enhancements which are expected to be delivered over-the-air (OTA) by late Q4 2024” and “Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle’s settings.” The problem continues
On [XXX] I was driving the vehicle during heavy rain. I commute 47 miles each way to work, when nearing my work location the car started to sputter like it was out of fuel and slowed to a crawl, applying pressure to the gas pedal had no impact - acted like it was getting no fuel, was able to pull vehicle over to side of the road. Vehicle would turn over but would not start - Check Engine light came on - codes displayed on code reader indicated that the high pressure fuel sensor and the low pressure fuel sensor were having issues. I had the vehicle towed to the closest Ford Dealer and they ended up replacing the fuel sensors and fuel pump. Thought that it was a faulty fuel pump. The Mileage I believe was 59516. On Wednesday [XXX] I was again driving this vehicle to work in a rain storm and at almost the exact same distance from home on the exact route the vehicle exhibited the exact same symptoms and the vehicle abruptly stopped running after shuttering to a stop with no fuel. In both cases the vehicle had a nearly full tank of fuel. The vehicle has been taken back to the Ford Dealership for repair. It appears that there is an issue when driving for extended periods on very wet roads water is entering the fuel systems electrical components and causing the system to fail causing a very unsafe driving condition. On December 11th the area had received 3.23 inches of rain in a 3 day period with the heaviest falling on the morning of December 11th. December was when Hurricane Helen
We were returning home from a trip. We pulled into a gas station to get gas. As we pulled up to the gas pump, we smelled smoke and then saw smoke and fire. We immediately turned the Bronco off and jumped out. Shortly after, the whole engine compartment area was on fire. Luckily, there was a tow truck in the parking lot and was able to drag it away from the gas pumps. I had gotten an oil change prior to our trip. There were no warning signals, lights, or indication of temperature or oil problems. I had intermittently smelled gas while driving during our trip, but my wife said she did not smell gas on the passenger side.

SSM 50472 - 2021-2022 Bronco - 2.3L - Illuminated Brake Warning Lamp And/Or Brake System Warning Message – DTC P050F Set In The ABS Module And Firm Brake Pedal
I was sitting in my car and the back wind shield exploded over my dog and I. Ford was made aware of the issue, and apparently the Bronco's rods hyper extend and cause the tempered glass to break. Ford wont cover any damages done, and says it isn't covered by warranty. Although the dealership and Ford acknowledge no pressure was existenet to cause the window to burst randomly. In addition, Ford is aware the plastic placer screws in the removable hardtop is defective and cracks over time. However, they are not warrantying this repair.

After engaging the "flat -Tow" system and towing the bronco, the transmission endured a catastrophic failure resulting in a $6,300.00 transmission replacement. This all occurred "under Factory Warranty" Dealer blamed user error even though the dash board display repeatedly stated....."flat tow enabled". Research on various websites have found this is an ongoing problem with the bronco and has happened to many consumers. Dealer was totally unsympathetic to the situation.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the spark plugs had failed to remain connected. The spark plugs were reconnected. The next day the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was returned to the dealer where it was diagnosed with the same failure. The spark plugs were replaced. The failure reoccurred and the engine sounded as if the engine was sputtering while starting the vehicle for several minutes. The vehicle was returned to the dealer where it was diagnosed as spark plug failure and that the engine was misfiring. There were no DTC codes retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
Break pedal feels very mushy and no breaking effect , very dangerous on highway speed for my car and cars behind me. I went to different dealers for a fix ,they all says it is normal, but it is sure not normal, I had multiple close calls. Break feel is inconsistent everyday. When I apply the break lots of deadline and no breaking effect for first few inches also pedal sinking to floor, ford and dealership are ignoring this serious safety concern. kindly do the needful, thank you
Steering stopped working. Took it to a Ford dealership and they have identified the problem as a broken steering gear. Other 2022 Ford Broncos were recalled for a faulty steering gear, but my VIN was not included. Seems suspicious that the same part breaks for the same year and model. Additionally, the part is on back order at Ford, so there may be a high demand for these parts because other steering gears are failing.
The headlight/taillights control dial switches modes and settings when entering and existing vehicle, the dial for the auto lights it will change and turn off the lights so that while you drive at night the daytime driving lights come on but there will be no rear tail lights. Creating a very dangerous driving at night with no tail lights . I have not taken it in to the dealer as it is intermittent problem and hard to recreate on demand at the dealership. The only remedy is to check the settings dial several times while driving to confirm that the headlights settings have stayed to a lights on condition.
2022 Ford Bronco Outer Banks "Steering Assist Fault Service Required" warning appears on instrument display panel intermittently. When the warning appears power steering does not work.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
