Ford has done nothing to repair this recall. I was a vehicle defect investigator for a major Insurance Company during the ignition switch and cruise control deactivation switch. I saw fires in garages, business and carport that put peoples lives in danger. This is the same type of danger and needs to be corrected immediately. Fuel system issues. Current recall has been since July of 2025 with NO FIX AVAILABLE. Engine light has been on and off for two months now with mobile app giving warning but there is no way to fix the issue as of now, and not since the Recall was issued almost a year ago. Bronco has not started up again on multiple occasions after getting fuel. Also has a very strong smell of fuel vapor/fuel at every deceleration or stop making it hard to breathe inside vehicle, as well hurting our chest and head to inhale inside the cabin of vehicle. Bronco is beginning to cut out while driving and/or when coming to a stop. We have a small child and are in fear of a serious malfunction or fire, and are concerned of the fumes we are constantly ingesting while driving vehicle. That on top of the risk of car cutting out at a bad time or catching on fire while driving is causing us to want to trade it in/get rid of it but we need a vehicle to get back and forth to work and get our child to school. We need something done to get a different vehicle that’s safe for our family/child. I am a disabled veteran that feels helpless with my wife and child using this vehicle every day. I’m scared for their safety more than anything else.
The vehicle is experiencing powertrain performance issues, including a persistent stutter, vehicle shuddering, and erratic RPM jumping while driving at 45-55 mph. These symptoms began immediately following the latest software flash in January 2026 and have progressively gotten worse. An Independent mechanic and a transmission specialist have inspected the vehicle and are unable to resolve the issue because no diagnostic trouble codes are being generated. There is a safety and engineering concern that the continuous reprogramming of the PCM & BCM has altered the vehicle’s operations outside of its initial factory design parameters. The vehicle has suffered an immediate drop in performance and fuel economy. In June 2026, I received another notification about Recall 25S76, not being completed yet by Sam Leman Ford. After several attempts to reach someone, I called an authorized secondary Ford dealership, Heller in Bloomington, who pulled the VIN data and stated they could not verify if the 25S76 recall was properly completed by the original servicing dealer. It seems as if there is a tracking failure on the manufacturer's side. While she stated there were notes by a service tech for mobile repair, the fact that I got another notification about the same recall’s intermediate repair not being completed, that signified to her it may not have been. Heller Ford stated the only way to know, is to attempt a 4th PCM reprogramming. If the manufacturer rejects the warranty reimbursement,
This recall was issued over a year ago and there is still no fix in place to repair or replace.

My moon roof has started making very loud noises at speeds above 50 mph. There is no active recall for my 2022 Bronco Sport. But there was the exact recall on 2021 Bronco Sports. In addition there is a moon roof recall on 2022 Navigators, F150's, F250's, F350's and F450's. Why has a recall not been issued on the 2022 model?
Vehicle: 2022 Ford Bronco Sport I am submitting this complaint due to an ongoing and potentially dangerous issue involving my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport shutting off unexpectedly while in operation. The vehicle intermittently displays messages instructing the driver to “Shift to Park” and/or “Restart Engine” while the vehicle is being actively operated. On multiple occasions, the engine has shut down unexpectedly during normal driving conditions, creating a serious safety concern. The issue appears to occur unpredictably and has continued despite normal vehicle maintenance. The problem has occurred while driving and also during stop-and-go traffic conditions. When the malfunction happens, the vehicle loses normal operation and requires the driver to place the vehicle in PARK and restart the engine in order to continue driving. This creates a dangerous situation, especially in intersections, traffic, or active roadways, due to the sudden loss of power and interruption of vehicle operation. Symptoms observed include: * Unexpected engine shutdown * Dashboard warning messages instructing to shift to PARK and restart engine * Intermittent electrical/system irregularities * Vehicle failing to continue normal operation Vehicle VIN: [XXX] Additionally, this vehicle has been taken to the dealership for diagnosis and repair related to this issue on multiple occasions. On at least two separate instances, the vehicle remained out of service for more than 40 days, leaving me without reliable
Check engine light turned on. Dealership inspected it and advised me there was a PO456 error code. My understanding is that a P0456 code on a 2022 Ford Bronco indicates a very small leak in the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system, which prevents fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. The most common cause is a faulty canister purge valve. The dealership advised me that this issue was not converted under warranty or covered by Ford, so it would be out of pocket to the owner. However, I am formally submitting a complaint to investigate if this issues is related to the open recall that Ford doesn’t have a fix for yet; Manufacturer Recall Number25S76 NHTSA Recall Number25V467. If the faulty canister purge valve was caused by the reasons for the recall, the issues may be directly related.
After coming to a complete stop at a stop light, my engine began to shudder and then stalled out. I received a message on the dashboard to shift to P and restart my engine. After shifting to P I was able to start my engine. When shifting to R my engine acted normally. When shifting to N my engine acted normally. When shifting to D my engine began to shudder and stalled a second time. After waiting for a light cycle I attempted to restart my engine and shift to drive a third time and my engine stalled when shifting to D. I required a tow truck to take my vehicle to my dealership. While waiting on the tow truck I had to shift the car to neutral and push the car onto the shoulder from the center lane where my car stopped working. My dealership was able to replicate the issue and informed me my torque converter had failed.
This 2022 Bronco Sport Outer Banks lost it's alternator pulley and that caused the serpentine belt to break. Since the vehicle could not be driven it was towed to Joe Myers Ford in Houston, TX. The dealer wanted a extremely expensive price, $1800.00, to replace the alternator and belt. The vehicle was offered to the dealer for trade to determine value and see if it was possible to upgrade to a newer vehicle. The dealer's sales person said that the vehicle was appraised at only $5000.00. That ended discussion and the vehicle was then moved to a private auto parts parking lot where a mobile technician repaired it. It was then taken to two other authorized Ford dealers and offered for trade. Each dealer only offered the same amount...$5000.00. One dealer even said "We don't really want this vehicle. I even found out that they are not even allowed to resell it with this recall in place. They have basically caused it become worthless. You should take it to a used car dealer for appraisal. This caused me to start wondering 'what' may be wrong with this vehicle to case a 2022 year model to be valued so low. The VIN number then got run through NHTSA and voila! Now we know why Ford doesn't want anything to do with it. The Ford Recall #25S76 and NHTSA Recall #25V467 clearly explain that the vehicle can catch on fire and cause personal injury. None of the 3 Ford dealers ever mentioned this Dangerous Recall. I never received any notice in the US Mail, an email, phone call or any form of
I have this safety recall on my car. I have called the local dealership many times and they keep saying that they do not have the parts to fix it. This is unacceptable as it is a major safety recall. I got an oil change this weekend and they indicated that something under the hood shows burned marks. Additionally, I am overdue for my state inspection- but I cannot get it done with the light on my car being on due to the recall and I’m not paying to replace it out of pocket as I cannot afford that big financial strain.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, the vehicle jerked while depressing the accelerator pedal. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions, and the dealer related the failure to the recall. The dealer cleared the check engine warning light; however, the failure persisted. The contact then stated that the vehicle was jerking more frequently while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact drove to the destination with the failure. The contact stated that upon restarting the vehicle, the vehicle failed to respond while depressing the accelerator pedal. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the failure was possibly related to the transmission. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Brakes moan when reversing at low speeds. Was told it was “normal.” Complete transmission failure—car sputtered and died at the stoplight. Then it would not shift into a gear other than park without dying.
I need to open a safety case for my vehicle. I am concerned with my vehicle. Car was having trouble starting on 4/16/2026 while parked at home giving a "full accessory power active" error. I called Ford and I was told it could be a battery issue. Triple A was called and help was dispatched. The Triple A representative did not jump start the battery and instead gave directions to power up the car back up with no electrical current necessary. Car started after trouble shooting it and it was tested through the night just like Triple A directed. The following day on 4/17/26 the car had no issue starting and all was normal. While testing the vehicle it started to produce a strong burning rubbery smell. I opened the hood and there was a leaking sound followed by a light smoke and leakage near the battery. A video was taken if needed. The smell was extremelly strong and I am reporting this safety concern as the VIN associated with the vehicle currently has an unrepaired recall with no available remedy yet by FORD - 25V467. The safety risk associated with this recall number is fire under hood due to possible injector crack that could lead to fuel accumulating on top of the engine. I want this issue recorded as I am concerned with the safety of my family.
I have brought the car in both to Marin Ford and Serramonte Ford for a transmission fluid leak. They have confirmed there is transmission fluid pooling under the hood but are either unable or unwilling to repair the source of the leak. Car is still under warranty - hoping they are not waiting for the warranty to expire and for my the car to start failing. The brakes also make a loud whining noise while driving in reverse on my 2022 Bronco Sport. The people at Serramonte Ford in Colma, CA tell me this is standard for Ford Broncos and Escape and there is not a fix. It sounds like a whale call and hard to believe the issue can't be resolved. I have read other complaints saying the saying the same thing and Ford charging $1k once out of warranty to replace pads, etc.
Rats are attracted to the soy based wire coating. They ate every coating off every wire in the entire car, which cost a fortune to fix! I want a new car without that wire coating. I shouldn't be responsible for this mess! It's a known problem. My car is spotless! No food or drinks allowed. The guy who fixed it said he had never seen anything like it, and was shocked at the damage because at first glance my car looked brand new. He also stated most of the damage probably happened when it sat in a field waiting on the computer chip before I purchased it. Either way its absolutely ridiculous to take such good care of a car and have THIS going on!
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that there was an abnormal fuel odor coming from the vehicle. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The dealer was contacted; however, the part was not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 58,078.
Fuel pump gave of emissions that came through the vents and caused me to loose control and the smell immobilized me. The Dr said it may be carbon monoxide as they did test in hospital for 5 days I was lucky my wife was driving in front of me to get me out
I started a Turo business and because of the recall on the Ford 2022 bronco sport I haven’t been able to rent my car out for the last eight months. Turo will not allow you to rent a car that has a recall this recall has been going on for eight months and there is no fix in the near future and it may be until the middle of July until we’ll hear anything else about a remedy to fix this issue with the recall not being ready for another 3 to 4 months this is gonna put me one year of not being able to make any income off of that car and Forde says there is nothing they can do about it. They will not issue a rental car or a car to use in the meantime until this issue is fixed so I have done nothing wrong and as the customer, I am the one that has to lose a years worth of income because of something that Forde can’t fix in a timely manner.
Fuel system 1. I don't know what failed because the dealership didn't do anything to repair it. It is available for inspection upon request 2. Intensely strong fuel odor at the front of the car, inside and out. Strong exhaust odor at the back of the car. It is not safe to operate a car if it smells like fuel. 3. Dealership had it for 3 weeks and said there is nothing wrong. Now they are ignoring me. I am taking it to an independent mechanic. 4. Ford said they inspected it but they didn;t because there's all kinds of issues with this car. 5. No warnings. Suspension 1. It literally howls when braking in reverse. Spring popping sound when turning corners. 2. When fuel odor or suspension is an issue, it is always a safety issue. 3. Dealership said it is normal. It is not. 4. See above. 5. No warnings Body 1. From fender flare was packed full of rocks and debris. The dealership said they won't do anything despite the little box with their check mark next to "trim". Worst dealership ever. 2. If rocks can get packed in there they can also come out, in any direction and any speed.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated that while driving with the RPM at 2,000 RPM, the vehicle sputtered and skipped, with the check engine and power train warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed, and determined that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced, but parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
This 2022 Bronco Sport was purchased from a Ford dealership "as is", but I purchased an extended warranty due to this. Since purchase the vehicle has been in the Ford Service approximately 60 days combined for the following: Tork converter replacement (part of the transmission system), 3 weeks; water pump (cooling system failure) 2 weeks; CV axil (drivetrain component) 2 weeks; battery replacement (recall), another recall (unknown); now an exhaust leak still has not been fixed (another recall).
Dealer has not replaced. Also my brakes are always squeek8ng when I back up. I have had all new brakes put on car. Still does it
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, several unknown warning lights flashed on the instrument panel and then disappeared. Additionally, there was a soft, audible chime coming from the rear of the vehicle, and the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth systems activated the connections despite no known devices being present. The contact was concerned about the electrical system inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer but was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000.
February 26, 2026, Concern: Ford Recall 25S76 / NHTSA 25V467 – No remedy available. My vehicle previously had an earlier Ford recall for fuel leakage and fire risk. The dealer installed a drain tube as an interim fix about 18 months ago. Ford has now issued a new recall 25S76 / NHTSA Recall 25V467 August 2025 for a similar hazard involving cracked fuel injectors that can cause fuel to accumulate on the engine. Ford states that parts are not available and has provided no timeline for a permanent repair. Because this is the second fire risk recall for a related issue and the prior fix did not resolve the underlying problem, I am concerned that the manufacturer has not provided a timely or effective remedy. I am requesting that NHTSA review this delay and include my case in its monitoring of this recall.
I was driving on the highway and my entire car shut down right in the middle of the highway and would not turn back on or shift into any gears. It was making horrible sounds and was really scary to be dead in the middle of the highway. The shop called and just informed me a bearing broke loose and sent metal shards throughout the entire transmission and it needs fully replaced. This appears to be an issue with BRONCOS, but my vin# is not included. Hoping other people report this claim so this issue can get resolved. I hope no one else experiences this safety concern.
A manufacturer recall was issued for a defect involving the fuel system (fuel injectors), but no remedy or repair timeline has been provided. Due to the safety risk (potential fuel leakage and/or fire), I cannot reasonably use the vehicle without concern for liability if harm were to occur. Additionally, the recall must be marked as resolved in the NHTSA database before the vehicle can be returned to normal use, which is not possible without an available fix. The extended and indefinite repair timeline creates a significant burden, as the vehicle remains unusable with no clear resolution date. I have contacted both the dealer and the manufacturer, but no satisfactory resolution or timeline has been provided. No warning lights or prior symptoms were observed. The issue has not been independently reproduced, as it is a manufacturer-identified defect. The vehicle has not been repaired because no remedy is available. Overall, this represents a safety concern and loss of use, with no timeline provided for when the recall will be resolved.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormally strong odor inside the vehicle, which made the contact feel ill. The contact associated the odor with carbon monoxide. The vehicle was driven to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Smelling fuel strong when driving and the engine lags and almost stalls when coming to a stop and going very dangerous
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). The contact stated that while driving around the neighborhood at slow speeds, the "Forward Collision Warning" system failed to function as intended. The contact stated that the alarm sounded while there were vehicles parked on the street. Occasionally, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while driving on the freeway at an undisclosed speed, the "Forward Collision Warning" alarm sounded, even though no vehicles were nearby. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
Below recall was issued but Ford says that my vehicle VIN is not included. Dealer says I have to pay out of pocket to replace the leaking engine oil separator on my vehicle. Oil leakage was observed around engine area and could have had an increase risk of engine catching fire when hot and running. MARCH 25, 2022NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 22V191000 Engine Oil Leak An oil leak in the presence of an ignition source such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Escape and 2021-2022 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with 1.5L engines. The engine oil separator housing may crack and develop an oil leak.
On 12/22/2025, my fiancé and I purchased a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport from LaFontaine Ford in Lansing, MI. During the initial purchase, we were not aware of any recalls or vehicle defects with the Bronco Sport. Roughly one month later, the check engine light came on, and after a thorough vehicle inspection, we were notified that there was a recall on the vehicle in regards to bad fuel injector(s), and that we needed to bring the vehicle back to the dealership for a computer update. After dropping the vehicle off at the dealership, we were notified that the engine was blown due to a cylinder misfire as a result of a bad fuel injector. We were also advised that the dealership had already completed the computer update prior to our purchase and cleared out the codes (critical misfire). The negligence of the dealership put my fiancé in extreme danger with selling us a vehicle with a critical fault that could cause a vehicle fire! The problem still has not been remedied as Ford is asking up to pay $3,483.00 for a new engine with them covering $4,457.00. I believe all of this should be covered under the recall and/or powertrain warranty since this issue has been well documented with Ford Bronco's prior to us purchasing the vehicle.

The car sputters when fuel is added but will drive. Went to get it checked out. Ford said it was spark plugs and a canister purge valve stuck. Got it looked at for a second opinion and they said the plugs were fine and the note saying the canister purge valve was stuck, but the canister purge valve was operating fine. Second opinion said it was throwing a transmission fault code. Possibly solenoid somewhere or an issue with the PCM, TCM or BCM. Then the car started shifting really hard, getting stuck in gears and shutting off. I had to get it towed to my house. I’m thinking there’s a bad PCM, TCM or BCM in this model and it just hasn’t been mentioned yet. Historically, Ford says it’s the spark plugs often and other issues and take several times to fix the issue. Last time it has a shut off problem, they tried two different things before replacing a solenoid somewhere and it lasted for a while up until now. Seems like they can’t really determine what’s wrong with it even after paying for the professional diagnostic fee
I was driving to work in my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport when traffic ahead of me stopped suddenly. I was able to come to a complete stop. The vehicle behind me did not see the stopped traffic until the last second and rear-ended my vehicle at an estimated speed of approximately 50 mph. The impact was severe enough that my vehicle was pushed forward into the car in front of me, resulting in a multi-vehicle collision. Despite the severity of the impact, none of my airbags deployed. My vehicle sustained significant damage and was declared a total loss. I sustained serious injuries in this crash and continue to experience long-term, life-altering effects. Given the force of the collision and the extent of the damage, I am concerned about why the airbag system did not deploy and whether there may be a defect in the airbag or crash sensor system. I am submitting this complaint so the incident can be reviewed and investigated to determine whether this presents a broader safety issue.
I was driving the car and had been noticing an aroma, that I couldn't identify all morning. I happened to look over to the passenger side of the car and smoke was coming from the front of the seat. It was just about to catch fire. The seat heater was on and I turned it off. I poured water from a water bottle on the burned spot, that is about the size of your hand, and it sizzled until it cooled down. I contacted my dealer and sent them a photo. They had never heard of this occurring on any vehicle with heated seats ever happening before.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. While driving approximately 50 MPH, the contact received an alert indicating that the engine was overheating, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over and became aware that the coolant reservoir was empty. Upon opening the hood, there was white smoke coming from the engine, with a strong coolant odor coming from the vehicle. After adding coolant, the vehicle restarted but only drove a short distance before the coolant leaked out. The vehicle was driven to the residence, where a mobile mechanic inspected the vehicle and determined that it was not repairable and that the engine had cracked from overheating due to the loss of coolant. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
At a little over 75,000 miles, I had a warning light come on that basically said there was a problem shifting between 7th & 8th gear and it put my car into safe mode. After getting it to a dealership, I'm told it needs a new transmission and was quoted $10,000. That's incredible excessive for a 3 year old car and reading through many online forums, I'm not the only one this has happened to with this car.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that there were strong exhaust fumes inside the cabin of the vehicle while idling and while driving the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that no exhaust fumes were detected. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000.
Transmission is going out. Costly repair $13,000 Seems to be a known issue but no recall? Let’s do better for your customers
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact turned on the heated steering wheel feature, and 30 seconds later, the steering wheel cover began to catch on fire with a blue flame; the contact discovered smoke coming from the steering wheel cover. The contact disengaged the heated steering wheel feature, where the flame self-extinguished. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact discontinued the usage of the heated steering wheel feature in order to avoid a large fire. A fire department report was not filed. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer; however, a dealer was contacted and made aware of the failure and informed that the vehicle caught on fire to resolve the failure with the vehicle's insurance. The vehicle was not repaired, but the contact was advised to buy a new steering wheel. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
The car's OBD (on board diagnostic) is not functional. This means that if a check engine light comes on it's impossible for the mechanic to know why. This means the car can never complete a state inspection and more seriously if there's an electrical problem, could result in a fire. I took the car to a Ford dealership and they verbally told me that lots of Ford cars are having this problem and that it is a manufacturing problem, not a specific problem only with my car. They want anywhere from $1600 - $4000 to repair/reprogram the OBD. They told me that they've done this "repair" for many customers and it's a manufacturing problem. In my opinion this should be a recall, not a repair customers have to pay for, most importantly because it could be dangerous bc mechanics can't access the car info if the check engine light comes on, and also the car can never be inspected which is not the fault of the car owner.
Brake booster failed. Lost brake assist while driving. Car became unsafe to drive immediately.
I am reporting a premature transmission failure on my 2022 Ford Bronco at approximately 85,000 miles. The vehicle required a full transmission replacement after experiencing internal transmission failure described by a Ford service manager as “something came apart inside the transmission.” The dealership quoted $13,000 for transmission replacement. Independent transmission specialists quoted approximately half that amount, indicating the dealership pricing is inflated. A major drivetrain failure at this mileage is abnormal and suggests a manufacturing defect. This issue renders the vehicle unsafe and unreliable and occurred far earlier than the expected life of a transmission. I am concerned this represents a systemic defect in Ford Bronco transmissions and request this complaint be documented and investigated.
Recurring Safety Defect: Powertrain Cooling System Failure causing Engine Overheating, Coolant Intrusion, and Loss of Motive Power. The vehicle has experienced three catastrophic cooling system failures within a 9-month period, posing a crash and fire risk. Incident 1 (February 2025): Water pump failure caused significant coolant loss. Diagnosed and repaired by authorized dealer under warranty. Incident 2 (June 2025): Vehicle leaked coolant and emitted visible smoke and burning odors from the exhaust. Dealer diagnosed internal turbocharger failure resulting in coolant intrusion into the engine and exhaust system. The catalytic converter was damaged by coolant burn-off and required replacement. This failure kept the vehicle out of service for 38 days. Incident 3 (November 2025): The vehicle engine overheated again while driving, triggering the "Fail-Safe" cooling mode.
