AWD Module tested internally bad when assessed by local dealership. Vehicle was taken in for assessment after a software update recal was completed as vehicle then started stating vehicle had a powertain malfuntion, Pre-collision system was off, Hill.assist was off, Traction control was off, 4WD unavaialble, AWD unavailable. The dealership AND Ford Customer Service states that this was not covered under the warranty as it was not a powertrain malfunction but rather and electrical issue. I researched and found Customer Satisfaction Program 21B19- AWD Module Replacement was filed with NHTSA ID Number: 10191184. Which has my vehicle make, model and year stating that there was in fact a known issue. I was never notified of this issue and am now being told my problem is only electrical and not covered under my warranty resulting in me having to pay out of pocket to correct a KNOWN problem that has been documented.

Loss of power. I was traveling after work and heading to family’s resident. I was on the freeway and noticed the engine light come on then followed by a loss of power. The slightest 1 degree difference incline had the vehicle lose 20-30 mph while on a highway of 65 mph limit. I turned around the it made every little climb dangerous to drive. Luckily I was heading back home while it was nearing midnight. The freeway was especially free of the normal traffic. Im glad I made it home safely but the slightest incline while on a 75 mph limit freeway was dangerous when I dropped to 35-40 mph. I took my vehicle in to the dealership. Upon a diagnosis, they found the solenoid to have short circuited. Last thing I heard today from the service advisor was the part needed is now on back order.

The rear axle differential. The rear axle is making a bumping and grinding noise upon acceleration and when turning at low speed as if the axle is going to fail. It happens during right and left turns but right turns are worse. The vehicle was taken in for diagnostics, and there is a TSB for suggested repairs. The parts needed to be ordered.

Due to a defective original design, the vent hose for the read differential unit collects environmental contaminates and causes chatter and slipping in the differential. This can cause degredation of the gears which limits the ability to drive and control the car. See TSB 24-2185

I recently had the recalls addressed (despite having any issues with the vehicle). Days later, I noticed my vehicle would occasionally not detect my key fob. Changed battery without resolution. On 6/27/24, I was driving in rush hour traffic, and stopped with the red light. When the light turned green, I went to drive, and the car shut itself down. Everything shut down. Couldn't even turn on my hazards. While waiting for a tow truck, I received a tip to use the key fob to push the start button, and that actually worked. I took it to Ford, and they returned it 12 days later with updated modules (they stated they couldn't diagnose the issue which is fascinating to me considering the nature of the recalls and all the information I am able to find online). 10 days after having it back, the vehicle hesitated to start and displayed a 4wd fault error. Contacted Ford immediately. The next morning, I started the car and the errors were gone, but I still wanted to get it checked out, so headed towards Ford. Stopped for gas on my way, but after filling up the tank, my car wouldn't start again. This time far worse than the first time, as something under the hood starting making a clanking noise, and smoke started coming out from under the hood, and smelled like electrical fire. The noise continued to get louder, and the smoke more violent. Finally cut the battery cable since the car was smoking, at the gas pump, on a busy Saturday, minutes before noon. Very scary situation, especially wit

My 2021 Ford Bronco Sport has had its water pump replaced twice. Most recently, in April 2024. In June of 2024, that water pump also failed. My Ford dealer then discovered "catastrophic" damage to the turbo and engine, including a possible cracked engine as the result of the vehicle overheating because of the lack of coolant circulation. This obvious defect in the Ford water pump resulted in a serious safety risk and potential for the engine to completely overheat and catch fire, threatening the occupants inside.

June 2024, I received mail for safety recall notice re: 24S24/NHTSA 24V267. July 16, 2024, went to ford to have it fixed. Ford said everything works good. [XXX] @1450, Me and my son [XXX] old) drove to freeway in [XXX] and my car just suddenly stopped. No electrical power at all. Even the hazard lights doesnt work. Need to call 911 for safety. I was in the middle of the freeway for about 15 mins. Speed limit in the freeway is 65 miles/hr. I was so scared because I have my son with me and anytime somebody might hit our car. I had to call towing and sent to the livermore ford dealership. (Thats where i bought my car). My bronco sport will be paid off this november 2024, now im scared driving in the freeway especially i drove 40 miles one way, going to my work. What if it will happen again? Especially if it happens at night time? I work 7pm-7am. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend had an acute and complete power failure. I stopped for a red traffic light and was waiting to turn and my brake popped under my foot and my vehicle lost all power. It would not restart and I was broke down in the middle lane of traffic with no ability to have hazards or any kind of power. This is with approximately 27,000 miles on the vehicle that I just recently purchased. As a single lady with her quad amputee son in the car, this was very scary and certainly concerning. Ford states my vehicle has no recalls, yet this seems to be a regularly occurring issue with this specific make and model. Can this possibly be looked into and more vehicles added to this recall? Thank God I wasn’t actually in motion when I lost power. I had to have my vehicle towed to my home and now I have nothing to drive and am told my 3year/36,000 mile warranty expired a few months ago due to age, not mileage. Ford should’ve reported this, but I figured it needs to be heard again and again until this problem is corrected and unsuspecting motorists aren’t left stranded or put into any unnecessary danger at the hand of a vehicle manufacturer.

I took my vehicle in to have the flash system updated to pass the emissions test for Louisiana. Ford charged me over $200 for a failure on that system from purchase, and no dealership would get back to me until I took my vehicle across town to have the system reset. Hollingsworth Ford told me that this wouldn't be covered under their system because I took this in out of warranty, but this is a problem since vehicle purchase.

A few weeks ago, my Ford Bronco Sport (Big Bend) starting jolting when I made slow turns to the right. It has since increased the jolting/seizing with a grinding noise since it began. My car has been looked at for this issue in which Chastang Ford replaced both frontal control arms stating this was causing the jolting. However, my car continued to jolt/seize on slow right turns. I took it back to Chastang Ford, and they said the RDU fluid needs replaced along with the hose. Their labor costs were high, so I got a second opinion at FireStone. The mechanic at FireStone told me the RDU needs to be assessed and gave me information about a recall for this issue. This recall is not assigned to my vehicle, but it is believed that is the problem. Reference#: 21V011000, Ford Recall#: 21S02 It was determined by the service assistance that my car didn't come from the plant this recall was initiated for, but it's still the problem. I called Legacy Ford (who I bought the car from), and they stated they would have to replace the hose and fluid. However, this wouldn't have happened if there was enough lubricant to begin with which is what this recall is addressing. I would like this issue to be addressed by NHTSA on other Ford Bronco Sports dealing with this issue as well as Ford as it is also not covered under my extended warranty.

There has not been a specific accident or occurrence, but its an ongoing issue that can not get fixed. The dealerships don't have the parts, and can not get the parts. The rear breaks are horrible, yet one dealership is telling me it is unsafe to drive, yet no one can fix it. This is crazy, and comes down on Ford who seems to have a big problem with their vehicles, safety problems that they are not addressing. Whats the problem that they can not get this fixed or provide the parts? I'm stuck with this issue and don't know what to do.

Recall notice 24S24 was completed on 6/14/2024 as notified. However, due to the recall vehicle did not notify me of low battery issue. Since low battery alert was never indicated at any time, I did not have the opportunity to replace with a fresh battery (which would have been done of course) resulting in dealership having to install a new battery at a significantly above general cost ($350.00 vs approx $200.00 or less) had service been by another company of my choosing. Replacement of battery should be covered in full (at N/C). This issue should be added to this recall since it is an over & above expense to customer. At the very least, dealership should deeply discount cost of battery replacement, not at full retail cost. Because the BCM module, PCM failed, a continuous drain of battery powered existed when vehicle was not in use. IE: the battery drained fully & was unable to jump started nor recharge when in operation. When not in use continued to "turn l light on/off, alarm alerts, lock/unlock doors, attempt to start" when turned off. This will clearly drain any battery to the point where it cannot be recharged even if it a brand new battery. Again, all systems were turned off (vehicle not running) yet battery continued to drain. Fortunately my case did not result in a crash or injury since it was off & in my drive, but it very well could have during driving (battery drains completely, vehicle can stall & shut down).

I received an error message from the car that stated "Restraints Indicator Lamp Warning". This issue was for the passenger side seat and made the car turn off the air bag as it couldn't confirm the seat belt was being used even though it was. Ford stated this issue would not be covered as the vehicle only has a 5 year or 60,000 mile safety coverage. After some research on Reddit, it appears this may be a bigger issue that is impacting the Bronco Sport and the Maverick.

Attempted to start car, screen behind steering wheel went black. Tried again, car went through several error messages but would not start. Gear shift and other lights flashed. Hazards did not work. No warnings prior to failure. Only after. This is the third time this has happened. The first two in busy intersections where the car stalled then went through multiple error messages. This time, thankfully, the problem occurred in my driveway. We will be towing back to matt bowers ford in the morning. Again. The previous times they ran checks, drove it and said they could not replicate the issue. Last time they put dielectric grease on the connectors. When I contacted ford I was given a case number and told I would be contacted in one business day. I was not. When I contacted ford again I was informed my case was closed and if I was concerned about the dealer’s work I should go elsewhere. Problem is the other dealer will charge me if my dealer messed up. They are also unable to look at my car for at least three weeks. The battery has been replaced once sine I bought the car in August 2021. The rear axle has also been replaced. I have brought it in for all recalls ( multiple) and kept up with recommended maintenance.

Previous NHTSA ID Number. 11596944. Recall fix was run earlier this month. Car died at stoplight two days ago. Fix run again at dealership. Car died at red light again today. Was able to put car in park. Tried to restart. Multiple flashing warnings. Was able to get hazards on this time. Had car towed back to dealer. They are calling Ford. Second time this happened at busy intersection. This time at interstate on ramp. Bus driver attempting to turn got out of bud and offered to push the car but we could not get it in neutral. Tow driver had towed in a bronco sport right before us with the same issue. Someone is going to be seriously injured. Service guy showed me record of previous error messages. There were about twenty. I have a video of the screens flashing today.

I had my [XXX] old in the backseat at the time and this incident could have caused injury or possibly death. Vehicle has also experienced accelerator issues. Vehicle would lag 3-5 seconds for vehicle accelerator to speed up when pressing on accelerator. Fortunately no major accidents, but I am concerned that the issues I have experienced thus far with the Bronco 2021, it can potentially cause a major accident that can possibly cause injury or death. First, the car was brought in 6/2/24 to take care of the open recall. I am still receiving notices but the dealership assured me the recall dealing with the battery was addressed. I came to a stop at a red light and the car shut down (all screens black). I attempted to restart. Car would not start but the radio, wipers, and screens flashing warnings intermittently came on. Could not turn on hazard lights. I had to climb out of the passenger side to avoid traffic and then attempted to direct traffic around the car. (Red light is in a curve making it difficult to see stopped vehicle.). Waited about 30 minutes for my husband. He was able to start the car and pull out of the road. We were not comfortable driving it so had it towed to dealer. Prior to the shutdown there were no warnings. The car was running well prior to this incident. It is still at the dealer. They told me battery drain, communication issues, and that they could see the error messages that flashed after the shutdown. The car was purchased in August 2021. It has 15,479 miles on it and most recently is driven 5 miles per or less during the week. I can’t find the date but the battery has been changed once already. Had this happened on some of the other rides I drive, I would have been part of a terrible crash.

Vehicle experienced complete shut down in the middle of the road while stopped at an intersection. Could not turn on hazard lights or put the car in neutral to move out of traffic. Car made a loud thumping noise when I attempted to restart. Vehicle was towed to dealership where I was initially told the battery just needed to be charged and it was ready to pick up. When I went to the dealership to retrieve my vehicle, it would not start and had the same error messages on screen and made the same loud thumping noise. Vehicle is currently still at the dealership and no answer as to when it will be fixed or what the issue is. Today is day 5 without my vehicle.

Vehicle was towed to dealership in which they advised the engine was locked up and later determined the turbo had failed, likely leading to the engine failure. The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport only had 30,000 miles so it is apparent this motor and or turbo has some type of fault. Dealership did not cover under warranty as vehicle had branded title from front bumper damage that did not effect the engine.

I bought my Bronco back in January this year (2024) and everything worked great. Then fast forward the end of May (2024) and my car when I got in it and crunk it up told me my MyKey had been activated. I said what is a MyKey never heard of it before in my life. I did some Google searches and tried to figure out. Once I figured it and couldn't get it off of there myself I took it to a Ford dealership. They told me the MyKey had to have the admin key and they would have to cut one etc and then the labor all together would be 400 dollars. I was floored how did this even happen? Who put the MyKey on here? It restricts the speed which you can go, only allows the radio so high, and you have to be buckled for the radio to play its crazy. So I call the dealership which I bought it from, Hendrick, my car was used and had about 39k miles on it. They don't know about MyKey either they sell used cars, but their main cars are Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram. The used car guy said he would pay 200 for the key but not the labor that we had our car long enough it was time we took responsibility for it. Fast forward I reach out to Ford. The lady at Ford who said she was just a media specialist says oh just pay the money and keep the receipt. That if Ford does a recall in the future you will be reimbursed. I told her that this response was unsatisfactory as it creates a safety issue. I told her I was taking the car to Ford for recalls that needed to be fixed the next week and I would asked them how

Our 2021 Bronco just suddenly died while driving. We were in a parking lot, moving, and it just quit. The Bronco would not restart and on the display screen it said "requires a manual start". It was not the battery, and the engine sounded like it was flooded. Thankfully, we were in a parking lot and not driving very fast. While we were waiting for a tow for over an hour, and we got the car to start and were able to drive it home. We called Ford, and their only response was if it happens again to let them know. It happened again a couple weeks later. This time while driving on a road going about 30 mph. We were lucky and able to glide into a parking lot. It was very scary because it just died. We called Ford and made an appointment to have it checked out. We were charged $1117 to replace the fuel pump ($1000 was for labor). When I questioned why a fuel pump would go bad when the vehicle is only two years old. The response was "cars aren't built like they used to be". I want our experience documented as we were very lucky that we were not injured when our vehicle died while driving. Until these incidents, there was no indication that there was anything wrong with the vehicle. We have learned that this has happened to other people as well when we Googled it. It is a huge safety concern. We now have received a Ford notice about a safety recall describing the exact issues we experienced.

While idling stopped at a red light the engine suddenly shut down/stalled and the electrical system simultaneously went haywire. Specifically the dashboard alert system rapidly cycled through/flashed warning alerts for the forward collision system, then “out of fuel” then a failure with the antilock brake system. At the same time the computer touch screen went black and indicated “system restart.” The dash alerts kept cycling through the same alerts mentioned above and wouldn’t stop. I tried three different times to restart the vehicle without success. Stranded on a busy roadway, two different vehicles behind us had to take evasive action to avoid hitting us from the rear. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who has called back to say the engine starts fine now. They will conduct further diagnosis.

I was driving and the car turned off while driving without warning. Luckily I was not in an area of high traffic but if I had been then it would have caused a serious crash. Car would not start again even after being jumped. Had to have towed. Ford told me there were no recalls related to this incident when I called customer service today only to find online other owners have had serious issues similar to this as well.

What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
