The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that on several occasions while in reverse (R) she observed a grinding noise emanating from the rear passenger side of the vehicle and the steering wheel began shaking simultaneously. On a few there occasions while making left or right turns, she observed the same grinding noise emanating from the rear passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rear differential may have needed to be replaced but he was uncertain that would be a permanent repair. The mechanic advised the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the differential assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.
Leff than 6 months after purchasing this vehicle new I have had a problem when I'm turning right or left with a rubbing/grinding noise in the rear. I have complained about it to the dealership where I was getting my oil changed and they brushed it off saying they don't hear it or it could just be the wind lol. I ended up taking it to another dealership in 2023 (Oxmoor Ford) where they heard it and diagnosed it as my rear differential and after they had my car for 3+ weeks I was told there wasn't a fix and they would just change out the fluid and replace it with new fluid and would let me know when there was a fix. In October 2024 I call and ask about this fix because I never heard anything else from them and they have me bring it in just to reset the modules. Still no fix on rear differential with so many complaints about it from several Bronco owners.
Front Passenger consistently has standing water, soaking carpet and has caused deep molding needing to replace carpeting and crash pad. Vehicle issue confirmed by Ford Dealership; diagnostic test did not pick up on it. Lead to manufacturing installation concerns. Dealership has inspected. Reported the issue and proceedings at Ford Dealership with Ford Company (corporate) Customer Service. Despite, manufacturing issue, company is requesting customer (me) pay to solve issue. No other messages or notifications appearing in Ford app or on in-car lamps/messaging. The standing water has been an issue at least 5-6 times.
My car was stopped at a red light and when I hit the gas to go my entire car shut off. I was not able to turn my hazards on or put my car in neutral to push my car out of traffic. This is a huge safety concern because a car could’ve rear ended me since I wasn’t able to put hazards on. I attempted to jumpstart the vehicle but that didn’t work. I had to get my car towed and sent to the dealership. The issue sounds like the recall notice 24S24 - however my bronco sport says I don’t have any recalls. After talking to other bronco sport owners who had similar issues, they said they had to pay several hundred dollars to replace the battery with an AGM battery because the bronco sport isn't equipped to handle all the electronics.
My car made a loud pop noise when I go to turn it over. Then it was just dead others tried to jump it, but it wasn’t getting enough juice. Along with this all the warning signals start flashing through on the dash before basically dying. There had been warning at all early I had been driving around just fine. When we finally get to the dealership they say it was just the battery. We replace the battery but I see that other 2021 bronco sport’s had battery recall issues they said, mine didn’t fall under the date when the bad ones were produced. Still I think they should look at other dates, since they might have been over looked or on the cusps of the dates between the bad batteries and the good batteries.
When turning at low speeds like a drive-thru or in a parking lot, the vehicle makes a skipping or grabbing sound and pulls/lurches slightly until the wheels are straightened. Recommended fix was replacing a front differential ventilation hose, which is not covered by bumper-to-bumper or powertrain warranty, and not a guarantee to fix the issue.
When I back out of driveway or any parking space, the brakes make a loud moaning noise along with what is almost a grinding noise. It does not matter the time of day, the temperature, or humidity. The car makes the noise every time it is used. This has been an ongoing issue since owning the car in 2021, and it has been to the dealership on three occasions to have the issue looked at. The brakes and brake pads look good and nothing else is visibly wrong. This has been an ongoing issue since shortly after purchase in 2021.
My transmission is slipping and the vehicle is sputtering at take off. There is a burning smell from the engine of my Bronco Sport. I have seen recall issues on other 2021 Ford Bronco Sports but my VIN is not included. It says that Ford issued for 2021-2024 Bronco Sport for transmission issues. Stating that the transmission park system may have been damaged during assembly. Dealer is saying I need new torque and valve body. Other Bronco Sport customers are also reporting the same issue on Bronco Forum. This vehicle is needed for transportation to and from work for my son.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the engine started overheating. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the water pump and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.
While waiting in the drop off line at school the Bronco suddenly shut off and would not restart. The dash lights, AC controls, radio, etc all shut off as if the entire electrical system shut down. The orange pull strap used to put the vehicle in neutral did not work as the electrical shutdown seemed to have locked up the brakes. Fortunately since it happened in a school zone traffic was slow moving and we did not have to worry about getting hit. Unfortunately, the vehicle was stuck in the middle of the road an unmovable until a tow truck came. After some quick research I've seen that this is a fairly common occurrence in the 2021 Bronco Sport. I used the Ford site to check the VIN but supposedly my vehicle was not affected by any recalls. Seems more than a coincidence that I have experienced exactly what others describe yet I'm unaffected by any recalls. I am now extremely concerned to have my wife and children in a car that could potentially shut off at any time and lock up the brakes. If this were to have happened on the highway who knows how many people may have been injured or killed. Prior to the incident there were no warnings, no warning notifications, nothing. Currently the vehicle is at the dealership who is charging a premium to diagnose the issue and replace the battery.
Currently at 30,000 miles. Water pump goes out every 10k miles, rear differential went out, front control arm and strut went out.
My 2021 Bronco Sport has had its water pump replaced 3 times and today I discovered the one put on in July 2024 is failing again. Each time it starts to fail there are no warning lights for low coolant. If your not actually checking the coolant reservoir under to hood consumers have no idea the water pump is leaking and failing until it's possibly too late and your vehicle overheats possibly causing more issues. This is a known issue by Ford, but no recall has been issued nor have these faulty water pumps been redesigned or updated to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, you see no coolant drippings where you park due to the fabric skid plate that covered underneath absorbing the coolant as it leaks out.
I've had 3 water pumps replaced first one was right before 36,000 miles, 2 were after the bumper to bumper warranty. Had the rear drive unit replaced for grinding, that was at about 28k miles, torque converter was also replaced at about 35k miles, oil leak from my camshaft carrier gasket, thermostat housing split, battery replaced after a year. This vehicle has been nothing but issue after issue. Each time low coolant, no heat in the vehicle. No warning lamps, nothing to tell me it was low.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while the vehicle was in reverse(R) and reversing at approximately 3 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed, and the rear brakes were making an abnormally loud screeching sound. The contact was able to stop the vehicle, but the noise was abnormally loud. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was constant. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where the rear brakes were found to be operating normally. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,563.
The contact's girlfriend owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while the driver was driving at various speeds and making sharp turns, the rear end of the vehicle seized and made an abnormal popping sound. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the rear end of the vehicle needed to be replaced. The dealer charged a repair fee. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V011000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.
Since the purchase of the Bronco Sport in 2021, I have intermittently taken it in for required service. However, there have been times when I have had to take it in for hearing noise coming from when I make turns, and it sounded like my break pads were making the sound of wear. A recent report did address the break pad concern, and they were replaced. Intuitively something told me to check my fluid levels and the engine air filter, along with the cabin air filter. They both needed replacing, which I did on my own. The mechanic who put on my break asked me questions about the Bronco, I explained to him that I was having issues with take off, and have had to take it in for recalls since make the purchase. He asked me to open the hood. What he found was oil leaking around was oil leaking around my turbo. I was shocked. Because it had not been long since it was serviced. I was told to not drive it too far because there were reports of some Broncos catching on fire. When I would take it in to Town AND Country Ford, where it was purchased, they would tell me that they could not find anything wrong repeatedly, supposedly one of the recalls was fixed. Yet, I still hear the noise when I make turns. Another Ford dealership around the corner from where I live and I decided to take it there to see if I could get different results. No help. They have changed my oil I hope. Then there is Bates Ford in Lebanon, Tennessee. I have taken it there for oil change and informed them of issues. Thi
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start up, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the fuel injector was replaced under warranty. The contact then stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle jolted forward upon depression of the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the transmission, catalytic converter, and water pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
The vehicle was traveling on a major highway when at a red light the car stopped and the auto start/stop engaged and the car turned off. After the car turned off I could not restart it. All power to the car was lost. No lights, radio, nothing. I attempted to put the car in neutral to move it off the highway, however the car is designed in a way it can not simply just be shifted into neutral. I grabbed the owners manual and read I needed to pull the manual park release cable located under the steering wheel. I pull the cable nothing. At this point I’ve called the local police department and they send out 2 officers. They attempt to shift the car into neutral as well, to no luck. I read the electronic parking break needs to be turned off but the car needs power to do this. My car has no power. A man comes with a jumper box and attempts to jump the car when it starts smoking. The battery has full voltage however it’s not transferring power to the car. I have to sit in the middle of a highway for 2 hours until a tow truck can tow my car. In those 2 hours I was at a significant risk of bodily and property damage and also risking harm to the other drivers on the road. Ford has no suggestion how to fix my specific problem. They’ve not taken into account a situation where there is no power to turn off the electronic parking break, to pull the cable and shift the car into neutral. The Ford service department had no idea how to replicate the situation to try and fix it. All I asked For
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while the vehicle was idling at a stop light with the automatic Start/Stop feature activated, the driver depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle instantly shut off. The vehicle was not able to be restarted and a tow truck was called to the scene. While examining the vehicle, the tow truck driver discovered that the battery in the engine compartment had exploded. The battery was replaced, and the vehicle was restarted and operated normally. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was contacted, and an appointment was scheduled. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at slow speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where a diagnostic test showed that the canister purge valve was defective and needed to be replaced. The dealer was then notified of the failure and confirmed the failure that the independent mechanic had initially discovered. The vehicle was repaired by the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 53,700.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the steering seized, and brakes were inoperable. Additionally, the instrument panel independently shut off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where there BCM and PCM software updates were performed. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact declined to pay for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while attempting to open the rear windshield, the lever on the windshield detached from the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact was unable to close the rear windshield and had to use a bungee cord to secure the windshield. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the liftgate windshield assembly needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the vehicle was no longer covered under warranty. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH and making a right turn, the vehicle was vibrating and shaking abnormally. The contact pulled over to the side of the roadway and turned off and restarted the vehicle, and the shaking ceased. The contact stated that the failure had become a persistent failure. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and an independent mechanic to be diagnosed; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 64,000.
I was in the turning lane at a light and the Bronco died completely. No power at all. The brakes were locked and I could not get in neutral. Police came to push the vehicle out of traffic but we didn’t know how to get into neutral. After googling that part we were able to push into a parking lot. I had to pay for a tow truck ($125) and towed to the dealer. When they called they said the Bronco went into safety mode because the battery was low. I said why didn’t the battery light go on. There was no warning just a dead vehicle at a busy intersection. We are lucky no one rear ended us because we had no access to the hazard lights. Dealer thinks that the auto start stop kicked in while waiting for the light and the battery didn’t have enough volts to start the vehicle again causing the whole car to shut down. Really that is a horrible feature because again it was dangerous to have cars angrily pull around you because you are sitting there. I couldn’t imagine with the car being black what would of happened at night! The dealer changed the battery and claimed there is no other issue even though the car gives no notice of anything wrong.
I was in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma on the freeway and my entire dashboard lights went out. It went black. I did not know what that meant and was scared to death that my car was just going to stop running on the freeway! I have read online that many many other people are experiencing this problem. After they recalibrated my system for the last recall this all started happening. A warning comes up saying charging system service now and the battery light flickers on for a minute and then it goes away. When it happened on the freeway at night all of the lights on my dash just totally went black. It needs to be addressed and fixed. Ford has no idea what it is and wants to charge us all kinds of money to try to figure it out. I just saw jeeps and rams were recalled for a similar issue. Why aren’t the fords being recalled??
When I came to a stop (stop sign) the vehicle's complete electrical system shut down, all went black. I couldn't turn on hazard lights or anything. (seems related to the recall notice). I waited to see if any change occurred, attempted restart, but nothing was operable. I connected a jump start battery and successfully restarted the car... all seemed ok afterward. This seems life endangering as a potential hazard.
In 2021 i purchased a brand new Bronco Sport Big Bend with the hopes that it will last as long as the previous Bronco models. Unfortunately, 3 years later i took the vehicle to a Ford dealership, and to my surprise the transmission needs to be replaced. Being a vehicle that is regularly driven by my pregnant wife is an issue that Ford needs to be accountable for. There were no engine lights on, the only warning was a noise i noticed when driving the vehicle myself in the highway. I understand that transmission failed throughout the course of the years, but to a 3 year old Ford Bronco Sport is just ridiculous and not safe at all. The vehicle is currently at the dealership, Ford has agreed to pay 5k towards the replacement but i still have to come up with more than 7k to get it fix. If i knew i would be having Transmission issues so early in the life of the vehicle, i wouldn't have purchased a new car in the first place. This is definitely a safety hazard and i am sure this is not the only Bronco Sport with a torque converter being faulty, causing the transmission to slip.
When in reverse the rear breaks give off a loud squealing noise. This vehicle has been brought back to the dealership 4 times so far with no solutions we just are told that’s what these vehicles do. Completely unacceptable for ford or any repair shop to say basically it is what it is. There is obviously a defect somewhere within the breaking system/products that ford used. Breaks should not be squealing like that and we shouldn’t have to be responsible to pay for new rear brakes, rotors, pistons and calipers to “see” if that fixes the problem. There are numerous complaints about the same issue and ford doesn’t seem to care and they continue to put out subpar vehicles.
2nd time my Bronco Sport has had an electrical failure . Has already gone thru recall and now has left me stranded again. 1st time in rush hour traffic and this time at 1 yr old son’s daycare.
This car was purchased at FAJARDO FORD IN PUERTO RICO. The car remains in PUERTO RICO where I am working temporarily. I gave FLA address for mailing address. This vehicle shut down while driving [XXX] taken in they did a recall. The car stopped [XXX] with witness. The car shut down on [XXX] at Fajardo Ford by parts dept, [XXX] car shut down again. I called Ford about the issue and they did the recall but they denied repairing it while in warranty because they said they could not replicate it. I am aware this is happening with other Bronco Sports. It is a computer issue. If I unplug the cable to battery and plug back on it resets and starts again. Nightmare of all my car purchases ever. The events are all the same on various dates. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I was exiting a store parking lot when my vehicle died and I lost the steering, hazard lights, ability to put it in neutral. It wouldn’t start, but the radio and air conditioning still was on. When I attempted to start everything would blink.
This newer 2021 Ford Bronco Sport stopped working and lost all power on Feb 21, 2024. The vehicle had just 37,031 miles on it. To problem solve, A neighbor jumped it. I turned the vehicle off after a few minutes and it would not turn over and start again. We jumped it again and let it run for about 10-15 minutes. Thinking it was safe to drive, I turned out of my parking lot thinking it was fine and the vehicle began to shake and putter as though it was losing power. It felt unsafe to drive it so I pulled back into my driveway and had it towed to the dealership for repair. Ford dealer told me it was the battery. Since then I’ve had issues with the drivers side window getting stuck when rolled all the way down, sometimes the vehicle has a hard time “catching” to start when I press the break and the power button simultaneously, it also feels like its lulling into between gears when I am going at a low speed. Basically the Vehicle feels like there is an electronic issue. I paid $517.50 for a new battery and labor. A battery should not be failing at 37k miles on a car that was bought brand new. I’ve leased and bought brand new cars since 1992 and I’ve never had to replace a battery on a new vehicle. Now, for the past week, this vehicle feels very tight and sounds like it’s almost grinding when I turn right or left out of my parking stall at home. It feels like there is a power train issue .
Vacuum Booster Line Detached (Broke Off) from the Vacuum booster Unit. This happened when I was pulling out onto the road and noticed brake became stiff. Could not get vehicle to stop without forceful pressing of brake. Fortunately I was not in traffic but did have cars behind which had to slow to wait for me to pull over. I could have been rear ended. There was no warning or symptoms of this failure. Dealership had it towed and replaced the vacuum line. The service advisor said this was the first he's seen this in the line of Broncos. I have seen several of the same stories on Bronco Forums. This is a known problem. At barely 40K this should not happen and should be part of the Power Train. I had to pay nearly $450 for the diagnostic, part and repair as it is out of warranty
This vehicle was taken into a Ford Dealership for service. A mechanic friend of mine drove the car and said, he thought it might be the right front cv axle. The ford service department said that it was a vent hose sending contaminated fluid to the rear deferential. The service guy said he is seeing this a lot with 2021 Broncos. This problem doesn't seem to be covered under the Powertrain Warranty and there doesn't seem to be a recall on this issue. The service department wants to charge almost $1400.00 to fix a problem that seems to be a manufacturing issue. I feel that Ford needs to look into this and correct the issue, because we don't really have that kind of money laying around, but because the car is close to 60 thousand miles, I'm sure Ford will not do anything but it's too late to be covered. I have to get it fixed.
Verified noise concern, found TSB 24-2185 This may be due to contamination of the rear drive unit (rdu) fluid through the rdu vent hose. To correct the condition, follow the service procedure to replace the rdu vent hose. SAFETY CONCERN IS THE POWERTRAIN. HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED AT FORD DEALERSHIP.
Over the past the month the vehicle has expereinced a sudden loss of power/ complete electrical failure twice. The first was in a parking space in a parking lot, the second was in the middle of busy intersection. Both times were promted by the vehicle's automatic start/stop function.
After fueling up at a gas station, my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport would not start. When I tried, all of the lighted features started strobing, flashing, and cycling through very quickly on my panel. I called Roadside Assistance, and they jumped me. It was a 50-minute drive home, so it gave the vehicle ample time to recharge. The next day, it would not start. I am waiting for a Roadside to jump me again so I can take it to the dealership. (Suggestion: ability to load video.)
I was backing out of a parking lot of my employment on the early evening of 8.22.24. I heard the familiar whale moaing noise coming from the rear brakes ( has been in and out of the Ford Shop for to address this know issue; still no permanent solution), I immediately noticed when I went to touch the brake pedal it would not push down. The pedal was stiff and required me to heavily push down to get the vehicle to stop. I noticed a severe grinding noise. Fortunately I was able to turn my car back around and safely park it. I pushed the parking brake button and it was not on and then it would not go off. It finally did after several minutes. A friend who knows cars went back with me to look at what could possibly be wrong. He looked under the hood and found a broken vacuum line. I have pictures. I left the vehicle and went home to research. I found a 2021 Compliance Recall Notice 21C31/NHTSA Recall 21V922. I purchased this Bronco Sport used in the fall of 2022 and do not recall knowing of any recalls, including if this specific one was performed on my vehicle . This recall correlates to what happened to my vehicle. It looks like the vacuum booster failed, wore out and caused my automatic brakes to fail. There was no warning lights or indicators that anything was faulty up until the incident. The vehicle has had regular maintenance and has been in to Ford Service to address the most current recalls and TSB's issued since I've had possession. This shook me up . I am so lucky I was
Exhibits a chatter/shudder during low speed turning events. This may be due to contamination of the Rear Drive Unit (RDU) fluid through the RDU vent hose. To correct the condition I have to follow the Service Procedure to replace the RDU vent hose. the drain tube for the rear differential gets clogged from road debris and dirt gets into rear differential. The repair is rerouting drain tube (new part) and changing fluid.

No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the battery. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 19,000.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to accelerate, the accelerator pedal was depressed all the way to the floorboard and the RPM increased quickly but the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the vehicle vibrated violently with an abnormal humming sound coming from underneath the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V267000 (Electrical System, Power Train); the VIN was included, but the vehicle had already been repaired. The contact also stated that the failure started following the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 30,000.
On 1/23/24, car was serviced for an electrical fault with the fuel pump control module which was confirmed via a vehicle alert. On 6/12/24, car was serviced for a software update recall. (I believe this was in relation to the fuel injector issue.) On 7/4/24, the car would not start but kept clicking trying to start. White smoke started coming out from under the hood. Panicked, we called the fire department and my niece's husband disconnected the battery so that the car would quit trying to start in an effort to mitigate a full fire. We could smell burning and fuel. The fire department even confirmed something smelled like it had burned but there was no active fire, so they told us to leave the battery disconnected and have it towed. I had the car towed to the dealership for $249. (Of which Ford only reimbursed me $140) My car sat for 2 weeks before Ford service confirmed the fuel injectors needed to be replaced as part of the 22N18 recall, but also said the battery was bad. Prior to this incident, I had 0 issues other than the issue in January. I had no notifications of battery issues in my app, no dimming of lights, etc. I had to pay over $300 to replace the battery so Ford could do "further testing" since I was a month out of the 36 month warranty. I picked up my car on 7/26/24 and when I started it in the bay, I smelled burning and even asked a different employee who confirmed he smelled it, and we were told by the manager that it was "old fuel burning off." He assured me
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that on several occasions while making a left or right turn, the contact stated that the vehicle was shuddering with an abnormal grinding sound and vibration coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear differential unit vent hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. On days when it rains or the weather is slightly cold/dewy, the Ford Bronco seems to make a screech/horn-like sound only when reversing. I found some online forum links (listed below) where other Ford users seem to describe the similar issue we're experiencing. This is the second dealership that we have taken the vehicle to be serviced for the issue, but they have both stated there is nothing they can do because the issue has not been issued as a recall. [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] The first dealership visited for service was: Metro Ford Sales & Service, Inc. Address: 6455 S Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60636 The second dealership visited for service was: Napleton Ford of Oak Lawn Address: Address: 6100 W 95th St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 The attachment includes the most recent appointment visit. Unfortunately, I cannot provide an invoice at this time because the vehicle is still at the dealership (10 days after taking it in). I visited the dealership yesterday (08/12/2024) where I was informed that the the service technician working on my car is in the hospital. Had I not visited, then I probably would not have known this, and the other service technician I spoke to said they could not share any more details since they were not part of the servicing for my car. Martin Garcia ([email protected]) is supposed to be the middle-man between me and the dealership to help me address the issue, but I have not received information from his end either. When I called the Ford's number using (866) 631-3788
While driving on the highway at 65 mph the vehicle completely shut off. All electrical components stopped working as well. After the recall was “fixed” it still randomly will not turn on. This car is a horrifying death trap and should be recalled completely, this is incredibly unacceptable for use and terrifying to drive. I was lucky there were no other cars around me at the time.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated that the infotainment screen was erratic before the failure. The contact stated that the hazard lights were inoperable. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the water pump needed to be replaced. The mechanic informed the contact that the failure was due to a design flaw. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.
“When attempting to start the parked Ford Bronco, the vehicle emitted a clicking sound, and a brake system error warning appeared on the monitor. Shortly afterward, smoke began pouring out from the engine bay. The fire department was called and disconnected the battery to prevent further damage. It was later determined that the battery, despite being dead, continued to send signals to the alternator and starter, which caused the alternator to burn out and the drive belt to melt.”
No warning lamps I believe this is covered under the powertrain warranty, however mine expired 4K miles ago. Excessive shuddering and pull at low speeds while executing turns. Progressively getting worse, inspected by Ford Dealer Shop and told to replace RDU vent hose and fluid. Sooner than later to prevent failure or other damage.
