Issue with car locking itself arbitrarily and not allowing occupants to exit the vehicle while using inside lever or outside lever. Safety issue. Also no safety features seems to be activated on the vehicle.

Seatbelt Malfunctions Warning when driving, break malfunction warning while driving, doors wont open, Vehicle stopped accelerating on the freeway, and vehicle plagued with bugs that prevent charging.
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean One. The contact stated while shifted into reverse(R) the vehicle independently shifted to park(P). There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had to release the accelerator pedal and depress the brake pedal to shift into the desired gear. Additionally, the contact stated that the doors failed to unlock while using the key fob. The contact had to make several attempts or wait for a while before the doors would unlock. The contact also stated that the driver’s side seat sensor failed to sense an occupant being seated in the seat. The contact had to move around in the seat to place the vehicle into the desired gear to be able to drive the vehicle. The contact stated that while the rear middle seat belt was buckled, the sensor was indicating that the seat belt had not locked. The seat belt was refastened several times before the warning light was reset. The contact stated that the HVAC system and TPMS were not operating as needed. After inspecting the tire pressures, the contact discovered that the tires were properly inflated; however, the following day the tires were completely flat. The contact stated that there was also an abnormal burning odor inside the cabin of the vehicle but no indication of a fire. The contact stated that there was squeaking noise when the brake pedal was depressed or released, with a clicking noise coming from near the driver's seat and the accelerator pedal while driving the vehicle. The contact stated th
Regenerative breaking skips and propels the car forward while driving.
This car has had issues with the camera going out/not accurately showing proximity to other objects. It also rolls backwards when in drive, recently did this at a stop sign. It suddenly goes off when in park and has had to be completely restarted blocking traffic. I was on the interstate slowing down on I-64 and suddenly the car accelerated.
Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS called Fi-Pilot in Fisker) and Sensor Malfunction: On multiple occasions, I have experienced instances where multiple warnings would come up such as regenerative braking, front collision system unavailable, front cameras not functional, side sensors, lane keep system unavailable, auto emergency braking system unavailable, ADAS fault – features limited or unavailable – Drive carefully and daytime running lights being unavailable my Fisker Ocean one car failed to respond promptly or adequately. Mud flaps were ripped during first snow. AC vents are making regular clicking noise and are shut on passengers side. Repeated failure of Key fob to open car (received only one key and app does not work). Despite reaching out multiple time there is no response from Fisker on when these issues will be fixed
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The "Battery Power Low" message was displayed. The contact was able to coast the vehicle to a safe location and turn off the vehicle. The vehicle was able to restart, and the vehicle was driven to the residence. An independent mechanic visited the residence to inspect the vehicle and suggested that a software update was needed. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was unknown.
Vehicle loses power/loss of throttle/loss of the accelerator. The first time this happened I was unaware and stuck in the middle of a turning lane when it lost power to the accelerator, after a couple of minutes the vehicle responded and because I was pressing on the pedal it kicked into full power mode sending me over a median into oncoming traffic. This situation not only put me and my child at risk it also put others. The same problem has happened multiple times I know better than to step on the pedal and not to panic. I spoke to my assigned Fisker technician, who stated it is a known problem. They have updated my software twice when was supposed to fix it but it has not. No warning lights or anything would warn anyone of this issue and Fisker claims nothing is unsafe. I also have a passenger door that doesn't always open. It has been fixed 4 times and still has the same problem. Again, Fisker states this is not unsafe.
I have had a recurring issue where the vehicle lunges forward when going over a speed bump, pothole or any rough spots on the roadway even when pressing on the brake pedal. It appears that the regenerative braking temporarily fails as does the standard brake in this occurrence, making the vehicle feel out of control and unsafe. Fisker announced that this was addressed with software version 1.10 but I have been on version 1.11 ever since receiving my vehicle a couple months ago and continue to experience this event. It most recently occurred yesterday while driving to and from the airport, going over a speed bump. Additionally, I continue to get "ADAS fault - features limited or unavailable" warnings and "Auto emergency braking unavailable" warnings and "Brake system malfunction - Service required" warnings on a regular basis for which I have numerous photos and videos. Also, on occasion I have had "Regenerative braking unavailable" warnings appear at which time the regenerative brakes are not functional, putting additional strain on the regular brakes.
Anytime the vehicle goes over a bump the vehicle lunges forward even if the operator is pressing the brakes. Collison warning does not work properly and lane departure warning is spotty. Interior lights randomly come on and off without any operator control. Fisker has not done anything since November 5, 2023 when I took delivery of the car.
The vehicle has several major faults that Fisker is now ignoring and no one has come to fix in the past 2 months. I've submitted multiple tickets and claims. Issue 1: ADAS system. My ADAS system is and has been down since the beginning of February. I have received software updates but that has not fixed the issue. Nothing in any part of ADAS works, causing a massive safety issue. Issue 2: Braking and Regenerative Braking. I believe you are aware of this issue, but when you brake or regenerative braking is engaged, but you then hit a bump, all braking malfunctions and the vehicle accelerates forward. This issue has been persistent for months. There is also a "Brake Malfunction" warning light that appears on start up of the vehicle that requires service. Fisker apparently has no service. Issue 3: My ventilation system is broken (the car is 4 months old) and no longer works and makes an intrusive noise when engaged. Fisker sent me replacement vents (almost a month ago) but no one has called to schedule an appointment to come fix the issues. Other issues: Bluetooth and connectivity malfunctions; interior lighting malfunctions; software issues. The largest issue here is that I am driving a $70K vehicle with major safety issues and no one at Fisker seems to care because they are in dire financial straights.
My Fisker Ocean One has experienced multiple ADAS issues including lane departure not working, emergency braking failing regularly producing multiple warning lights, regenerative braking shutting off causing the vehicle to speed up or roll away. I have dozens of photos of the errors and videos. I will provide the link to the photo folder. The technician was finally able to update all of the vehicle modules to 2.0 to try to resolve this. That included a hold function updated. At roughly [XXX] I was pulling into my driveway. My road is a steep downhill to my house then a left into the drive. As I was slowly pulling into the driveway the vehicle jerked violently many times as if it was trying to stop but couldn't. I was not applying the brakes, but letting off the accelerator for the regenerative function to slow the car. When the jerking occurred I tried to brake and the brake pedal did not respond. The vehicle finally locked the wheels and came to a stop. Many warning lights came on rapidly. The message I saw was a braking fault then the car died and all screens shut off. I was half way in the road and now in front of an oncoming vehicle. I couldn't get it to start up. Fortunately the oncoming vehicle slowed and crept around me. My Fisker Ocean the rebooted itself and I was able to get it into the garage. I have under 2700 miles on it. This update 2.0 was promised to fix many of these issues and now put myself and others in danger. I suspect it was the hold function that cause
When reversing the 2023 Fiskers Ocean One, the whole computer shut down. This has happened multiple times and I am afraid it may happen while driving. Remedy for this issue I found is to get out of vehicle and lock it. Then unlock it and it was restart itself. This is not safe and needs to be addressed immediately. I have contacted Fiskers and no one has responded.
Rear left door handle will no longer open the door. Either from the interior or exterior. Unlocking and locking the vehicle does not resolve the issue. Fisker says to pull the interior door handle twice in case of emergency, but this does not manually actuate the door handle. Occupants would be currently stuck in my vehicle and unable to exit...
The safety issue with my brakes on my Fisker Ocean is when brake pedal is depressed the vehicle starts to decelerate but then for a split second accelerates. This issue happens intermittently (overall in 4 weeks of driving the vehicle it has happened 6 to 8 times.) I was told by Fisker techs that the new software was supposed to fix this issue, and I received the latest 2.0 software upgrade a little over a week ago, but then had another instance of acceleration while braking happen with even the new software on the vehicle. The last instance happened last Thursday March 14th.
Component: powertrain. It is unintended braking and acceleration. It is available for inspection. This has happened on multiple occasions: when going over bumps the vehicle jerks and lurches, applying braking or acceleration without input from me. While the braking is causing stability concerns at high speed, it is the unintended acceleration that is most troubling. This happened again this morning twice in rapid succession that almost caused a collision. It is only a matter of time before it does cause an injury. While exiting the expressway, on the off-ramp and following another vehicle, I was undergoing moderate braking (right foot on brake pedal with pressure). Twice the vehicle hit a bump in the road and it unexpectedly and definitely accelerated after hitting the bumps. This caused the car to lurch forward towards the vehicle in front of me. The second time was very close to causing a collision. I have registered this issue multiple times over the course of a month with the manufacturer. They are not responding to the complaint in writing. The one time I was finally able to reach someone by phone they tried to tell me it was a symptom of regenerative braking. As this is my 4th vehicle with regenerative braking I can definitively say this is not a regen issue that is found on other vehicles as it is not safe. In either case, I am unable to get any technician to inspect the vehicle. There are many warnings and messages about symptoms and problems with the vehicle. Trying

Many times, if I brake on a surface that is at all uneven, my stopping distance increases by (estimated) 2-10 feet. The brakes seem to do one of these things, and as it is not entirely predictable, I have a hard time describing, but they are: 1) some part of the braking system (maybe regenerative) just lets go suddenly in the middle of braking. This causes a sensation of suddenly gliding forward. 2) brakes grab, and the car will skid forward a few feet. I wish I could state this more clearly, however I can definitively state I have never had this problem with any other car. I drove a Tesla Model Y (LR) for 3 years which has similar technology, and had no such events. These problems have led me to almost rear end another car, and to travel into the oncoming lane of a city street when turning right (because of ending up several feet farther than I should have been before starting the turn). If a pedestrian were to run into the street ahead of me, I have no confidence that the car would stop in the time/distance that a car should. I reported the first time this happened, in early December, and have emailed the company at least 3 more times asking for them to address this. Have also asked reps on the phone, who universally say, "we know about this, maybe you should turn your regenerative braking to Low."--but this has to be done manually each time you start the car, so it's hardly a safe fix. Henrik Fisker has come out publicly saying this was fixed. I have version 2.0 (2/3) soft
My new car Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking doesn’t work when there is car infornt of my vechicle and meet with the accident. both Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking is not happen during this incidence.
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brakes failed to function as needed. The contact stated that while removing the foot off the brake pedal, the vehicle rolled backwards. The contact stated that the failure had been persistent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was informed that a new software update needed to be performed. The contact stated that the software update was not performed. The failure mileage was approximately 500.
Unsafe operation - erratic braking, roll back while waiting for light or traffic, non-functioning options, inconsistent key functionality, inability to update software. Total unresponsive company personnel to send technician to car's location for a repair. Stuck in driveway for 3 months blocking access to garage and potential fire hazard as it was connected to Fisker charger but would not release EV-SE handle. Mobile App and web site application not in sync and could not assist me as vehicle operator
The vehicle intermittently experiences brake failure when traversing rough or uneven terrain. The lane keep assist system occasionally causes the vehicle to veer towards the incorrect side of lane markings.
The vehicle was non responsive - yet was charged (EV). Numerous times I have not been able to unlock the car via the key fob. There is a “backup” RFID chip in the fob that’s supposed to unlock the vehicle by holding it near a spot on the door handle, however— that system did not work and I was stranded in the rain for a couple hours. Eventually when I returned to the vehicle to try again it had come back online and apparently unlocked itself which is not safe.
The breaking system has failed numerous times nearly causing accidents and I’ve had faulty/false forward collision warnings and emergency breaking engage for no reason to the point where I’ve been thrusted forward and injured.
We were driving down a parkway and a yellow message flashed "battery malfunction" and the high-voltage battery fault came on and the car lost power while on a public road. I could break & steer but that was all. I was on a public road and had to coast down the hill (luckily was able to maintain speed) and there happened to be a parking lot I could coast into when we got to the bottom. I called road side assistance and gave them all the information, had my partner pick me and the kids up, and the car was later towed to my house. The car was at 70% Power and in Earth mode when all of this happened. Other issues that happened during this drive: Key Fob wouldn't work several times – car wouldn't lock or open after multiple attempts to use the lock/unlock button and even holding the fob on the door handle took time for the car to recognize. Usually it is in seconds, it was taking 20+ seconds. Park brake malfunction (flashing) when I was trying to park the car at the parking lot This is a serious safety issue – we were lucky we were able to coast down the road and were in a parking lot but if we had been on the interstate or the curvy 55 mph roads by my house a serious accident could have happened. In addition to the above – I've had several other issues making the car undriveable since I got it. The car only has 353 miles on it because it has been so unreliable to drive and now is completely unsafe to drive. I had the car delivered on December 14, 2023.
1.The Internet continues to not work. 2.Key Fobs do not work. 3.Regenerative braking functions failure. Brakes/wheels start to smoke and smell like electric smoke. Brake now squeaks, not sure if it is related. 4.Brakes seemed to temporarily fail on two different occasions while going around a turn on uneven terrain. No response from company, reported twice. 5.Consistent safety system failures. Lane assist, hill assist, anti-collision…etc. 6.The camera system continues to fail. 7.Door handles malfunctions 8.Bluetooth continues to connect to my phone even though the Vehicle is off. 9.Solar panel does not work. Please see attached time line with company.
HVAC vent electric motors inside the dashboard are creating cracking sounds when operating. I’m worried it may not be safe. The manufacturer hasn’t addressed the problem after being notified twice already.
I on the highway driving during low-traffic hours in the middle lane of a 3-lane section of interstate highway. I was not immediately near any object, structure or other vehicle. Without warning or change in circumstances the Fisker Ocean began warning of a front collision risk. Within seconds of the alert sounding the brakes were automatically engaged. The car rapidly slowed from ~75mph to 35-40mph. Had this been a busier time on this stretch of highway this event could have caused a serious accident between myself and another or between two other cars attempting to avoid my sudden and erratic deceleration. This incident, luckily, did not result in any impact, accident, or harm to others or property. This system has engaged without reason or warning in one other case at a much lower initial speed. It does not seem to have a means of reliably reproducing the issue. This issue has been reported to the manufacturer several times. No attempt has been made to resolve the issue. The standard response has been "A software update will resolve this issue, " but no indication of when this update will come.
On December 22nd, my car lost power while I was standing at an intersection. I was able to cross the intersection at no more than five miles per hour and get into a parking lot. My car was towed away. I received the car back on January 18th. To this day, the company won't release the information of what happened and what was fixed. They refuse to give me any written documentation. Also, the rear defroster doesn't work, creating an unsafe environment. I have asked several times to look into it and nobody has done anything about it.
Car stopped on a busy highway and would not move forward or backwards. Rebooted system several times and still would not move. Finally, after many reboots, car began moving again. Extremely scary and dangerous incident. Separately, none of the ADAS systems are functional. The key fob is unpredicatable. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. Some of the functions never work. We have had other problems. The car was taken back by Fisker for more than a month last fall. As is obvious, it still has many unaddressed and dangerous problems.
I parked my car and was unable to open the door to get out. Tried few different way but door would not open. Complained to manufacturer, they claim they could not duplicate the problem, and did a software update. I have a video of the incident, however, I was unable to upload it. I can e mail it to you
I had a complete loss of power the car abruptly stopped in the middle of the fast lane on the freeway 680 in the San Francisco Bay area. Very dangerous situation highway patrol came had to stop the highway. I was able to get the car rolled to the shoulder and then I had to have it towed to my house. Could’ve been a very dangerous situation where crashes could’ve occurred. It stopped the entire five lanes of the highway.
Since delivery basic safety systems are not working such as emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, the key fob doesn’t open the car, the phone app doesn’t work, the front camera is not working and adas is offline, the car doesn’t start, the left rear passenger light always turns on, and the list goes on. It’s an electric car and was delivered with constant error messages that fisker could not resolve after more than a dozen attempts and multiple in person technician visits. Car is not safe to drive with unstable software. Cruise control supposed to be adaptive but car doesn’t detect another car and nearly drive into the car ahead.
CAR WENT TO SLEEP TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING CAR NOT DETECT THE KEY ,IS BIG SAFETY ISSUE, IT HAPPEND EVERY DAY I REPORT TO THE FISKER BUT NO RESPORND ALSO ALL SAFETY WARNING MASSAGE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DIFFCUIT TO READ IS BIG SAFTY RISK A LOT GOING ON ON THIS CAR PLEASE RECALLING FISKEN OCEAN TO FIX
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated that upon start of the vehicle, the gear shifter failed to engage and would move out the park(P) position. The contact also noticed that the gear position lights had failed to illuminate on the instrument panel. The vehicle then began to roll backwards at a rapid speed as the brakes failed to operate upon depression of the brake pedal. The contact immediately depressed the parking brake to avoid crashing into another vehicle. The contact called the manufacturer and was instructed to reboot the vehicle. Despite the reboot, the failure persisted as several warning lights appeared on the instrument panel. A technician was sent to the residence to inspect the vehicle; the contact was later informed by the mechanic that the vehicle was repaired. Days later while at a stop light, the contact was informed by a fellow motorist that the brake lights had failed to illuminate as needed and nearly resulted in an accident. The manufacturer was notified about failure and the contact was informed that another technician would be sent to inspect the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that while the back over prevention camera was in use, the screen would display false wheel alignment markings. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 10.
Any time I'm driving in wet or slightly slick weather conditions, the regenerative braking on my Fisker causes the brakes to lock up and instantly lose control. Even at very slow speeds. I've additionally had drastic safety issues with the car when driving in cruise control. When traveling around 70-80 mph on cruise control, when I'd hit even a small crack or bump in the road, the CC instantly shuts off causing the regenerative braking to engage. This is essentially the same as suddenly braking on a freeway with other traffic around. And since feet/legs are usually positioned off of the gas/brake it's very unsafe trying to react to this when it happens. Finally, the cars auto lane correction system occasionally pulls me in the wrong direction. When I slightly go over a lane, the lane assist engages. About 50% of the time, it actually pulls the car to the WRONG side.
I was trying to come to a stop at a red light using regen braking. At a remaining speed of about 20 mph both front wheels hit a significant bump between two concrete road surface plates. When hitting the bump, regen braking immediately disengaged and the car continued at 20 mph without any regen brake support. I had to depress the brake pedal hard in order to bring vehicle to a safe stop as, at the same time, the brake pressure point has shifted significantly and normal brake pedal pressure had no effect. Vehicle displayed no warning lamp or message. This is just the latest occurrence of the same issue which has happened to me multiple times over the past few weeks. Causes are bumps, potholes or also icy/slick surfaces while regen braking the vehicle. Even one wheel encountering such a situation will immediately lead to loss of regen brake on all 4 wheels and shifting pedal pressure point. On Jan 19, 2024 Fisker published a statement that this (or maybe a similar) issue was resolved with v1.10 of their software. I had my car delivered with v1.10 and am now on v1.11 (1/2) and have encountered loss of braking on both SW versions. Online tickets with Fisker support and talking to Fisker service advisors trying to get the vehicle investigated have yielded no result. To date Fisker has not conducted any noticeable effort to contain the situation.
We had issues with the car from the day it arrived ranging from the key fob not working to multiple warning lights that interrupted the regenerative braking. Despite multiple tickets filed, Fisker was unresponsive. After about two weeks of owning the car (less than 250 miles on a brand new vehicle), the car went unresponsive while driving despite having a full charge and no warning/issue alerts. The car shifted itself into neutral and when the driver tried to put the car in park to get out of the car and see what was wrong, the car started to roll forward despite being in park. To stop the car from hitting oncoming traffic, the driver was able to get back in the car and manually depress the brake. Once the driver hit the brakes, the car stopped rolling forward, however the car remained unresponsive to any of the other gears. To get out of the street, the driver used the momentum of the roll forward to try to make a slight turn back into the neighborhood street however ran out of momentum and got stuck in the middle of the street again with the car now rolling backwards. The driver hit the brakes again to prevent the rollback and because the car was unresponsive, the driver was stuck holding the brake from 7:21 AM to around 8:45 AM. At 7:37 AM the car went black and many of the controls started to glitch (we have videos but the uploader tool is limited to photos only) Due to the car now being completely blacked out, the brake is very heavy and the slightest movement will cause
I was driving down a residential street, about 20 mph. The accelerator stopped responding -- I'd step on it, but the car would only drift, as if it were in neutral. But the car was in Drive. I stopped in the middle of the road, turned the vehicle off, and then on, and the accelerator worked again.
Loss of drive power/acceleration during operation. On two occasions in the past few weeks the vehicle has become unresponsive when the accelerator is pressed. No warning lights, sounds, or other indication that something is wrong. Regenerative breaking also goes offline but regular brakes work. Car is forced to roll to a full stop and will resume function after shifting into park and then drive again.
ADAS obstacle detection is intermittently available. Audible ADAS obstacle warnings intermittently persist while driving. Rear view camera fails intermittently and there is no safety fallback to see around the large blind spots created by the D pillars. I have contacted Fisker many times asking for escalation and resolution.
Vehicle does not unlock and lock as expected. Vehicle frequently requires multiple unlock attempts to unlock the vehicle. Proximity unlock, an advertised feature, is not available. Occasionally vehicle will become unresponsive and not unlock for an extended duration. Fisker is aware these issues are widespread and continues to deliver vehicles with these issues.
The back doors in my vehicle do not open from the inside when car is unlocked. Front driver and front passenger are able to exit the vehicle but rear passengers cannot. This would appear to pose a danger if there was a crash and rear passengers needed to exit the vehicle.
I got my Fisker Ocean One in Nov 2023, and the car suddenly stops on the road. The car gives multiple jerks and stops in the middle of the traffic. The car just becomes idle on the busy road. Its too scary. This issue is happening on every drive. If something happens to the battery and I don't even have the option to get out of the car as it is dead in the middle of the road. I don't know the issue and when I call the customer care and they don't even have the courtesy to call and find out what happened.
When using the "regenerative" braking function by taking foot off the accelerator, if the car encounters minimal uneveness in the roadway (ie bumps, cracks, potholes, uneven surface etc) the "regen" function terminates without any warning and the car "free-rolls" until I am able to apply pressure to the brake pedal. When it does this, the vehicle feels like it is accelerating, but I realize it is really just gaining momentum that if not quickly reacted to could lead to loss of control during turns and at intersections or crosswalks. I have had this action happen no less than 10 times in my limited ownership time, and I thought it was going to be addressed during an OTA update, but it is still occuring.
After driving the car for about 10 minutes, I parked and was unable to open the driver door. I tried locking and unlocking, shifting in and out of park, resetting the infotainment system and opening the window and trying to open via the outside handle. The door is supposed to always open via a ‘double pull’ from inside yet it never worked. I drove about a mile and pulled into a parking lot where I took videos. I then drove to another parking lot and sat in the sun and the door finally released. It took me over 45 minutes to get it to release. The interior safety approach of the ‘double pull’ never worked. There were no lights or warnings. If this had been an emergency, I could not have exited the car. I messaged the company and a technician called me about 2 hours later. I was already out of the car. Given that the safety backup did not work, I think this should be investigated. I have videos of the issue but cannot upload videos to this site.
Strange behavior with the breaks when it applied on an uneven surface.
Continuous malfunctions of the ADAS system, including while driving the vehicle. The brake pedal vibrates when used and feels as if the vehicle will start skidding with enough pressure at the right speed.
The car door does not open from the inside. Despite multiple attempts to unlock the door from the inside, pull the handle twice, roll down the mirror to pull the exterior handle.. This has happened numerous times where we are locked inside the vehicle. I have put numerous service tickets in with no response from Fisker. Only thing they say is ‘we are ordering the parts.’ This vehicle was received November 2023 and we’ve been locked in the car numerous times and are afraid to drive anywhere not knowing if we can get out in a timely manner
As long as you are collecting information, I have had various ADAS/AEB/Brake Regen/Front Collision Warning/Front camera not functioning/side sensor not operable errors from day 2 of owning this vehicle. They have been reported to Fisker with either no response, "just do a reset", or "we know it is very buggy. It will be fixed in a future update." This is since the middle of October. The latest information was that a "big update" was on the way at the end of January, and then two weeks later was told that it was delayed until mid-March. I am running version 11.1 of their software and still have the intermittent errors.
