THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED, BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE WAS UNCONTROLLABLE AND THE ENGINE REVVED. THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR AND SMOKE EMERGED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED.
