The styrofoam headrest snapped in half and came off of the base of the car seat. Graco will not replace even though it renders the car seat useless because they say it does not cover under warranty. The car seat is a little over 2 years old.

Car would turn off randomly while driving; this primarily happened at red lights. After a moment was able to turn car back on and continue driving. Took car to mechanic and had something replaced; however, this issue continued. Took car to dealership and they confirmed that they could find nothing wrong with the car. Dealership that provided follow-up call that there was a potential fix to have PCN (?) chip updated and that this was a known issue. It does not seem safe to have a car randomly turning off while driving; especially in a large mini van which is most commonly used by families with young children. The dealership made me pay $300 to pay for the safety fix despite it being a known issue and a safety issue. When the car would turn off this was at 0 mph but it occured coming from all different types of speeds. Foot on the break in the middle of an inner section - that is DANGEROUS and someone speeding through and crashing into you. PCN update was completed at Chrysler dealership.

The van cut off while driving twice in one day. Took van to have battery, starter and alternator checked and all was find.
While parked in a parking lot, the active headrest restraint deployed, abruptly forcing my neck/head forward. The plastic piece inside the seat appears to be broken. After doing research, it sounds like this is a pretty widespread problem.
Unknown nature of causing transmission to surgeon RPMs before going into overdrive. Has caused the vehicle to go into limp or loss of power mode. Would be very dangerous if it happened on a interstate or very busy highway. Could cause a wreck or death
Found the front passenger seat headrest activated and separated from the frame after entering the parked vehicle. Unable to reset the headrest. Vehicle slipped out of gear causing vehicle to jerk suddenly and wouldn’t drive. Vehicle had transmission flushed and now drives but intermittently (frequently) vibrates hard/shakes like it’s coming out of gear while at certain speeds. This make/model vehicle had a recall issued for this issue but my VIN wasn’t part of the recall. It has all the issues the recall listed.
Driver side headrest deployed (AHR system) while driving at a speed of 55 mph with no accident. Driver bit tongue while driving. I have found many complaints of this issue online. Vehicle hasn't been inspected at this time since it happened a little over a week ago while on vacation. There were no warning signs that it was going to happen. Just purchased this 2016 Chrysler Town and County a little over a month ago and now have this repair to consider of a faulty "safety" system.

The driver's seat headrest went off. The leather front popped off from the backing. Inside you can see where there is plastic broken and we can't push the pieces back together. The pop of it going off was loud and thank goodness I wasn't driving on the highway when it happened. Vehicle was not in motion when it went off. We were cleaning out the van and wiping down the seat when it happened. It was literally a ticking time bomb and I'm afraid that the passenger side is going to do this too.

My 2016 Chrysler Town and country van, started making horrible noises while I was circling to get my friend at the airport. There was no warning light and no place to stop. I slowly drove 2 miles to a gas station and parked it over night, got it towed to my regular shop in the morning. They told me transmission oil pump had failed. They referenced me to NTHSA SAFETY RECALL 16V461000 ( Chrysler recall number S44 ) for transmission oil pump. Recall was for dates Aug 2015 thru Aug 2016. My vehicle DOM was December 2015, right in the middle of the recall date range. However, for unknown reasons, my VIN is not included in the NTHSA recall and Chrysler / FCA / Stellantis is refusing to pay for the $7500 repair. I would like NTHSA to please add my VIN number to the above referenced recall. Please let me know next steps. Thank you!

1. Engine runs but when I shift into reverse, drive etc. Car does not move. When I took it to be looked at, they said that my transmission doesn't have pressure. There was no indicator lights on the dash or any reason for me to think anything was wrong until I went out to drive my kids to school and it wouldn't move. Available for inspection on request.
Spark plugs and motor/transmission mount fixed but car started shutting off when I would come to a stop. Took it back to dealership and they stated the TCC failed and was replaced, started messing up again a week later. Wouldn’t start , I had the battery and alternator checked and both are good. It is currently back in the shop.

Transmission is slipping, hard shifting, delayed engagement. I checked and it says this van is not in recall but it is doing the same thing
My rear passenger sliding door doesn't lock. My rear driver sliding door won't open. This is a safety problem if I was ever in a wreck and couldn't get my Grandaughter out the door due to her being in a car seat. This is a serious safety issue. If the car caught fire you would put someone in grave danger if they were in the back seats and the door wouldn't open. This is a huge problem with these vehicles and I don't think we should have to pay for it, Chrysler should.

Chrysler is aware that they have a faulty engine oil filter adapter in many of their automobiles but are refusing to do a recall to address the issue. Mine finally began leaking just a couple drops on the cement no warning light. Brought it into the shop and was confirmed that the adapter was leaking ALOT whole engine was covered. This could have led to my car seizing up on the highway without a warning light at all!

The oil cooler and oil filter housing unit is made of plastic becomes cracked and leaks oil and coolant. with it leaking oil and coolant the engine can seize and over heat. I have had the same problem with my 2012 Chrysler town and country with the same plastic oil cool/oil filter housing unit.
Ticking started in the engine, idle is rough most times, #2 cylinder misfire and does not accelerate when gas pedal is pressed. occasional cut off while driving or stopping at a light. mechanic checked codes to verify. In september of 2023 transmission was replaced by a certified shop after the same similar issues. keep dumping money into a car that i am still paying on and maintain according to the maintenance schedule.
Oil leakage. I’ve read numerous reports online with the same year make and model about oil leakage we bought this car used without doing and research first just because we needed a car. And when I notice the oil leak I’ve been doing research and a lot of people have had the same problem causing people to spend ALOT of money to fix it which could have been prevented.

Defective door-latching system; in particular: the driver side, (left side), passengers sliding door; which resulted in occupant being trapped in vehicle until we were able to extricate through other door. There is a pending class action lawsuit regarding this defect: UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF MICHIGAN Case 2:21-cv-11696-JEL-DRG; failure occurred with no warning and does not allow for manual operation of the door system. This defect poses an extreme safety hazard, as it is possible that both passenger doors could be affected, essentially trapping the occupants in the mid and rear seating compartments.
The rear door on Left side won't unlock, it won't unlock or open at all. It's stuck in closed position and cannot be open manually.
Transmission pump failure resulting in gear slippage and loss of power while my wife was driving. Seems to be the exact issue specified in an already existing Recall, but doesn't seem to apply to our 2016 Chrysler minivan. The hydraulic pump went out - causing transmission failure.
Entered the highway and attempted to accelerate and bring car up to speed to match other cars. Car reached 55 mph but could not go faster and did not shift into higher gear. Noticed a high pitch noised coming from engine compartment. Over the course of a few hours the car would lag when shifting into reverse and would lurch forward when it did kick in. The car was taken to NAPA for a diagnostic where they diagnosed a problem with the transmission and that the car had transferred into "limp" mode. We were informed by Jet Automotive the transmission requires an overhaul.
The contact owns a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that after arriving at her destination, she became aware that both the driver's and passenger's side sliding doors were jammed. Upon applying great force, the contact was able to open the driver's side door, and after visual inspection, she observed the sliding door was off the track with electrical wires exposed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer was also unable to open the passenger’s side sliding door. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 93,000.
Front end accident-airbags did not deploy
While driving today the vehicle stopped shifting and the check engine light turned on. When I pressed the gas pedal the RPM gauge would go to 4 or 5 but the vehicle wouldn’t move initially. It jolted forward after a few seconds of pressing the gas. Because I had my children in the vehicle, I slowly drove to the garage I see regularly. They checked the code and with that revealed it was something to do with the transmission fluid pressure and the power steering pump.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
