The car just dangerously shuts off without warning while driving in traffic. The Battery is new, and all fluids are full. This is the second time, in less than a month, that this dangerous shutdown has happened. Both times being while the car is in motion. The first time this dangerous incident occurred, the car started back up. The airflow sensor, All sparks plugs & coil packs were changed & Throttle body cleaned. This time, the car will not crank back up.

The back of the seat does not stay secured in place. Heavy acceleration may cause the seat to recline on its own
Occupant Classification Module (OCM) or the Seat Cushion Foam (SCF) of the front passenger seat replaced instead of the both pieces together, which make up a complete calibrated set. The part was recalled I have the same type of car but my VIN is not showing up on the list. My airbag sensor goes off and I was advised that the above is what the issue is. My car for some reason doe snot come up as needing to be fixed but my car has this direct issue with the passenger side airbag. FEB 26, 2016 VEHICLES AFFECTED 71 CHRYSLER RECALL # S09 NHTSA CAMPAIGN # 16V114000
My vehicle has been recalled but I’m noticing problems with my transmission when in switching gears. Sometimes it shifts into neutral, my radio shuts off periodically and my seat fills a lot thinner then the passenger seat. My air bag sensors pops on as well as the gas cap sensor and I just replaced the gas cap 2 months ago.

This car is shutting off and losing power while driving putting me as well as other motorists in danger due to this occurring without warning and under any rate and direction of motion. I have loss power causing my emergency brakes to initiate causing the car to immediately stop. I was crossing an intersection when the car shut off. Yesterday, I was entering an entrance ramp onto the freeway and my car loss power, and the only time I was happy to have the police behind me because they blocked traffic so I would not get hit while trying to restart my car. The first time this occurred was April 2019 when my car lost power while I was driving on a high rise bridge during a storm causing the car to hydroplane back and forth against the railing. I was able to restart it and turn the hazard lights on so I would not get hit. But this accident injured me causing me to undergo months of medical treatment. Even after telling the insurance company about the power loss during the accident and even after the car was repaired from the accident then returned to me, it still was losing power. They took my car back and told me after inspecting it again, it was the battery and they replaced it. This was never taken serious when I was injured and could have died that day and many other days since. They did not check to see if it could have been a recall issue. Now I am experiencing this problem multiple times a week, and unless this is done by the manufacturer, it will not be corrected, putting
I was in accident on Nov.21,2021 it was a T bone the truck that hit me the airbag was deployed and mine didnt but my car was totaled damage there is a safety issue.I was doing about 25mph and the other vehicle about 45mph.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and running, the gear shifter was stuck and would not shift into drive. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and the mechanic reset the computer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. The VIN was unavailable.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact stated that the engine seemed to be struggling. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000. The VIN was not available.
Car says “engine warming, please wait to start” then it take at least 5 mins to actually start the car. My cars also been overheating since my software update for my recall.
I am receiving a sign stating “warming engine wait to start” the car does not start. When I apply gasoline it stalls to start. While driving the car shuts off in traffic. I’ve been to car shops who refer me to go to Chrysler because they can’t fix the problem stating “it is an electrical problem”. I’ve taken the car to Chrysler dealerships they continuously tell me otherwise. They’ve cleared codes and fix the last recall issue after this the car was okay for a few months now it continues to do the same thing. I’m am afraid that this could harm my passengers and I especially my child. I’ve literally turned while traffic was clear and safe to turn onto a main ride and my car shut off mid turn as traffic caught up. This has happened after fueling my vehicle. The only light that continues to appear is the battery light which I’ve had checked by many mechanics and technicians as well as the starter and alternator.
The car would accelerate downhill with cruise control on. It would shift abrupt at any moment
Car randomly stall and shuts downs when driving. Sometimes it will turn back on right away, sometimes it completely dies in the road and it has to be towed since everything shuts down. Unable to put it in neutral and push it, or roll up any windows. Before it happens traction control will flash very quickly, other times when it has completely died the power steering warning comes up quickly. I have taken it to the dealership but it doesn't throw a code so they keep telling me they can't do anything about it. There are many articles online about it, but nothing is being done as far as recalls.
Car automatically shuts off from sharp turn or hard stop
When oil is low the car stalls and shuts off while in operation without warning. There is no "oil low" light or indicator provided to give a heads up. Also, my car stalled 2 months after an oil change without me reaching the 3000 mile mark.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH when the vehicle started to stall. The check engine and the battery warning lights were illuminated. The contact parked on the side of the road and waited approximately 10 minutes before restarting the vehicle. The failure recurred while driving to his residence. The contact's wife also experienced failure while driving. The contact's wife stated a police officer stated that the vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated he continued to experience the failure and had the vehicle towed an additional 3 times. The contact towed the vehicle to a local dealer however, the mechanic was also unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated while leaving the dealer he experienced the failure and drove back to the dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired however, the repair was pending. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V529000 (Power Train). The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,500. The VIN was not available.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the front passenger’s side air bag warning light would remain illuminated and would turn off and on without a passenger being in the seat. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the electrical wiring, but the failure reoccurred. Also, while attempting to accelerate from a stationary position, the accelerator pedal needed to be depressed almost to the floor before the vehicle responded. Occasionally, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration and the vehicle would suddenly lurch forward. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.
I just bought it. I put my foot down on the pedal a c the car acts like there's no power than jerks the car forward. And going down hills the acceleration sticks and rpms shoot high than jerk down
I was driving down the road and the car lost all power, I couldn't even turn on my hazard lights, wasn't sure of car was going to roll backwards if I got out, lucky no one hit me
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving at highway speeds, the vehicle would jerk and would appear to start to stall. The contact would often have to pull over to restart the vehicle and regain proper function. The failure occurred approximately 7-8 times total. There was a notification that the key fob was not detected when in use. The contact stated that after being in an idle position then accelerating the vehicle lags acceleration. Right, when the vehicle reaches the desired speed then it would start to jerk. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who replaced the key fob battery, updated software on the PCM and TCM however the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,779.
After getting a tune-up, the car now runs worse than it did before, the car idles with a very intense vibration, I took it to a local mechanic who informed me that this model has a recall on the Electronic throttle control and for me to take the car back to where I had the tune-up done. I have an appointment on Monday the 13.
Cruise Control will randomly accelerate or decrease speed. Transmission won’t shift properly run high rpms then jump and eventually shift. Air bag constantly is pulling messages. Electrical and engine stalls.
Transmission not properly shifting into gears. Car suspension is always slamming. Air bag error code
Speed settings will accelerate and loose power without manually adjusting. Electrical will cut in and out. Breaks system will kick in randomly.
Electric dial transmission selector wont go into park. The recall was for the six cylinder but this is a four cylinder with the same problem.
Car will cut off while driving after sharp turns. Lights on dashboard will start to flash and then “Shift vehicle to park” message will appear. No service light appears when car is started
When the vehicle accelerates, the gear shift is harsh and very scary to the point it feels like the car is gonna fall apart. When decelerating, the same thing a occurs. At one point the whole car shifted to the side while attempting to accelerate or decelerate. When making a turn and mainly a U-turn, the steering feels like it's harsh and feels like it will break if it was turned too far or too hard accidentally. The gear shifting/transmission does not shift very smoothly at all times. Its scary when it switches gears. Both accelerating and decelerating in the middle of the highway whether going from 60mph to 70 mph feel or 60mph going down to 40mph. I'm sure it was steering and gear shifting issue because I felt it myself. It sure could be engine problem on the top of that as well. Thank you!
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the driver’s side air bag warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the contact was informed that the wiring harnesses in the driver’s and passenger’s side air bags needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V114000 (Air Bags, Seats). The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
Issue #1) 2015 Chrysler 200 looses power and goes dead in the middle of the road. Shift gear to park light comes on as it goes dead. Vehicle has done this repeatedly. I've replaced battery, the keyfob battery, and had the oil changed. Issue#2) The passenger airbag alarm is indicating problems with the airbag. Issue #3) Vehicle is an automatic, but exhibits stalling when shifting at sporadic and intermittent times since purchase date. #Summary - It is highly likely the repairs from the Chrysler 200 recalls were either never performed or the VIN to the Chrysler 200 I drive was not included in the recalls. Please help resolve this as soon as possible.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, she checked the oil in the vehicle, and the dipstick showed that the engine was 1 ¼ quarts of oil low. The contact topped off the oil level however, after a month the contact checked the oil again and noticed that the oil level was very low. The contact was concerned that the vehicle was consuming too much engine oil. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer who inspected the vehicle and diagnosed the failure with the power train control module. The power train control module was reprogrammed however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 67,000.
My car completely cut off while I was driving. I have no check lights on. New battery was put in last year.
There were no warning lamps but my transmission shift very hard and is very jerky. Also my parking break keeps engaging on its own. Im afraid that im going to be driving and it will engage itsself. It hasnt happened while driving yet but it had many times while setting still and in gear
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving 65 mph, there were several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated while exiting the highway, the vehicle started to stall and ceased. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the transmission fluid needed to be flushed. The vehicle was serviced. The contact stated a month later the failure recurred. The contact had the vehicle towed to his residence. The contact called and notified the local dealer of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V529000 (Power Train) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 94,000.
When coming to a stop or accelerating from a complete stop either turning or straight, the engine stalls without warning & there is no power steering or momentum to safely pull over. I have been stuck with hazards at neighborhood stop signs, in stopped traffic after the light turns green, freeway on-ramps, in the center of small & large intersections blocking traffic, on railroad tracks, & more. It can take up to 3 tries for the engine to restart. Obviously, this is extremely unsafe, & I do not believe that I should be stuck in an intersection because a newer car with such low miles dies every day, often several times a day. In addition, the transmission is very jerky & the engine does not run smoothly once it restarts. That also happens occasionally upon the first start of the day. I do not understand why my vehicle was not included in the recall for this exact issue.
My car went into neutral by itself. Won’t shift into drive The car isn’t on the recall list by VIN but it is having issues that are listed in the recalls. The airbag light is on as well. I’ve never gotten into an accident since I’ve had the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving 75 mph, the hood inadvertently opened without warning. The contact immediately pulled over and noticed that the striker latch had detached from the hood and remained in the socket attached to the engine. The contact tied down the hood with material in his truck and then drove to a hardware store where he bought a metal chain and some clamps to temporarily hold the hood in place until he reached his destination. The contact then took the vehicle to a dealer where they informed him that they were unaware of such failures. The dealer referred him to an independent body shop for the repair of the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.
Chrysler 200 (2015) engine shuts down with no notice. I have to literally stop, put the car in park and restart the ignition in the middle of the road to get the car moving again. Mostly when deacceleration (turning a corner/slowing down for a traffic stop, going over a bump, etc.). The electrical system just shuts off. Notice that the temperature outside is usually warm. Seems to do better in cooler weather. The car does not get hot (temperature gauge has been tested). Oil is full and gets regular changes. It is Extremely Dangerous. Many times throughout this month I have almost been hit. Angry people cuss you out for stopping in the middle of traffic. Not only does it cause me high anxiety but the safety of myself and my grandchild is at risk. I am afraid to drive it but have no other means of transportation. Message displays: Put gear in park, restart engine. No engine light comes on so the mechanics are unable to diagnosis issue. It has been put on the code reader but not codes appear. Midas said it was the Power Distribution Center Electrical Connector (R24) . That they couldn't fix it but that it should be under warranty but it wasn't for my VIN # . Prior ( a week or so before) the airbag alert illuminated on the dash (2 different times) but went off after I adjusted my seat. At one time after I started having problems my low light beam indicator said my bulb was out but then went off and my low light still worked (not burnt out). Now my control in the middle of my dash
I just purchased vehicle on 6/4/21 for my daughter. I gave her the car yesterday 6/10/21 today is 6/11/21 She was driving vehicle pulling out onto busy road and entire vehicle shut off would not start 30 min of sitting waiting for AAA which costs money to send them and car starts up what the heck death trap
The car displays several symptoms of other recalls on the exact same model. It has high vibration when sitting idle and while driving, the car also has issues in shifting gears on it's own, either while trying to decrease speed, or increase speed. As if it is stuck in gear. The car is an automatic. On top of this, when taking off, the car jerks and stalls in power, instead of going forward as it should, making pulling out incredibly dangerous. Again, these are all symptoms of recalls that have been made on these exact models of cars. I tried contacting the dealership, but they said if my VIN doesn't have the recall listed there is nothing that can be done. I think this is insane. The vibration has been noted in recalls to wear away parts of the tire axel, which leads to breaking of important components that move the wheels and can be dangerous if they were to break while the car was moving.
Engine stalls, and dies constantly. Seems to help if it idles for 15 minutes prior to driving even in the warm summer months. All lights went off, looked like a Christmas tree, car floored wouldn't go above 30 mph. Made it home, next day all the lights were off except for the check engine light.
While driving, my car will accelerate when depressing the brake. If cruise control is set to say 60 mph, the car will continue to accelerate well after the desired speed has been reached. When pressing the brake to disengage cruise control, the car will still try to accelerate for about 10 seconds, even while depressing the brake. I'm not sure if that is related to this, or if it is a separate issue, but my car will also stall out when coming to a stop or slowing down, especially if braking hard. When the engine stalls, power steering and braking are also lost. My car has stalled several times in the middle of intersections, on a busy highway coming to a red light or slowing down because of a hazard in front of me, and at stop signs. I also check my oil regularly, and do routine oil changes. When I check the oil, and when I have my oil changed, the oil level is almost ALWAYS low, and has even been completely empty a couple times. I've confirmed that there is no leaking under the car. Sometimes I smell burnt oil coming from my car. I fill the oil up, and less than a month, and the oil is almost gone. More worrisome to me, is the fact that even though the oil was completely empty, my oil light never came on. So it was by luck that I checked the oil and noticed that it was empty because I wouldn't have otherwise known. My check engine light will come on from time to time, and I have it checked for the codes each time. The following are the codes that have shown up every single t
Since purchasing my car, I’ve experienced at least 9 instances of the vehicle completely cutting off, while driving. I have one of these incidents on video. The car will cut off, tell me to “Shift to Park and hit the Start button” while in traffic, posing severe danger to myself and other drivers. There are recalls describing this exact problem, yet my VIN number is not included in the recall. Most recently, my vehicle stalled/cut off immediately after getting an oil change. Once restarted, began running rough, shaking, and would not accelerate. I took it to a mechanic who said the problems all seemed the same as the recalled vehicles and all subsequent problems stemmed from the main power train issue. I was advised to take it to the dealer, which I did, and the dealership is trying to charge me $3,705 to fix a commonly known and previously recalled issue with this year/make/model vehicle. I’ve contacted FCA and they cannot give me any answers, explanation, or assistance.
I HAVE A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. AFTER THE CAR SITS FOR A FEW HOURS AN ENGINE HAS TIME TO COOL COMPLETELY DOWN IT SHUTS OFF ON ITS OWN AFTER RESTART AND ACCELERATION. IF I START TO SLOW DOWN IT WILL SHUT COMPLETELY OFF AND TELL ME TO PUT INTO PARK. IT HAS DONE IT COUNTLESS TIMES ON BUSY ROADWAYS, WHEN IM COMING TO A STOP AT STOP SIGNS OR TRAFFIC LIGHTS. IT IS STARTING TO ALSO SHUT OFF AS I AM TURNING. NOT ONLY IS IT EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND COMPLETELY UNSAFE BUT ITS EXTREMELY ANNOYING. IT SEEMS TO DO IT MORE IF THE ENGINE HASNT COMPLETELY WARMED UP BEFORE I DRIVE IT. THEY HAVE RECALLS FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM ON CERTAIN CHRYSLER 200S BUT APPARENTLY MINE DOESNT FALL UNDER THAT RECALL AND SEEMS RIDICULOUS THAT IT DOESNT. SEEMS AS THOUGH TENS OF THOUSANDS OF THE 200S ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE BUT THEY PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT ONES ARE FIXED. IS CHRYSLER WAITING FOR FAMILIES TO DIE IN CAR ACCIDENTS BEFORE THEY FINALLY FIX THE PROBLEM!?
AWD SERVICE REQUIRED.
BOUGHT MY CAR A LITTLE OVER TWO YEARS AGO FROM A LOCAL PRE OWNED CAR DEALERSHIP, SOON AFTER MY PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, THEIR MECHANIC WOULDN'T FIX IT WITHOUT TRYING TO CHARGE ME EVEN THOUGH I'M SUPPOSED TO HAVE A 4 YEAR WARRANTY. IT'S STILL NOT FIXED AFTER TWO YEARS, I JUST CAN'T AFFORD IT, AND NOW I'M FINDING OUT THERE WAS A RECALL PREVIOUSLY FOR THE ISSUE AND I DON'T THINK IT WAS EVER FIXED BUT THEY SAID IT WAS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO, IT'S EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND I CAN'T AFFORD ANY KIND OF REPAIR, I'VE BEEN ABSOLUTELY DUPED BY THIS DEALERSHIP AND IM FRIGHTENED FOR MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF MY LOVED ONES WHEN I DRIVE. THE DEALERSHIP COULD KILL MY LOVED ONES AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT.
OIL FILTER HOUSING LEAKING OIL , FRONT STRUTS FAILURE IN REAR
IMY CAR WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF THE FIRST GEAR JUST OUT OF NO WHERE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED AND SHOP IS SAYING TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE IS BAD AND I SEE MANY REVIEWS THAT THIS HAPPENS WITH THIS CAR AROUND 90000 THE SHOP IS ALSO SAY THEY SEE THIS PROBLEM A LOT I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE IS NOT A RECALL

IT SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND FLASHES "SHIFT TO PARK" IN ORDER TO DO THAT YOU HAVE TO COMPLETELY STOP AND SHIFT IT THEN TURN OFF YOUR CAR IN HOPES IT'LL START RIGHT UP... IT DONT. WE WERE ON A BUSY OVER PASS WHEN IT HAPPENED A FEW DAYS AGO. YESTERDAY (04/26/2021) WE WERE BY THE COURT HOUSE AND IT DONE THE SAME THING. TODAY (04/27/2021) IT DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO START. IT IDLED HIGH AND ACTED LIKE IT WAS DYING. I OF COURSE HAD TO DRIVE MY CHILDREN TO SCHOOL SO IT WAS SCARY.
I PURCHASED MY 2015 CHRYSLER C IN 2017. I STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION JUMPING EVERY NOW AND THEN. MY CAR IS AT 60K MILES NOW AND I HAVE A SENSOR LIGHT ON TELLING ME SERVICE AWD. I TOOK IT TO HAVE IT DECIDED AND THE READING I GOT BACK WAS P1634 AND P1634 00. THE POWER TRAIN ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED BEFORE I OWNED IT AND NOW FROM THE SOUNDS OF IT, MAY BE GOING BAD AGAIN. I SMELL A BURNING SMELL FROM TIME TO TIME WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I'M TRYING TO TAKE MY CAR IN TO GET SERVICED BUT EVERYONE'S TELLING ME NO OPEN RECALL. NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
