Newest filingsMY DRIVERS DOOR HAS HAD THE PINS AND BUSHING REPAIRED 5 TIMES. I OWN 2 CHEVY BLAZERS , AND HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH BOTH. I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ONE MORNING , TURNED A CURVE AND MY DOOR FLEW OPEN. WAS UN ABLE TO CLOSE DOOR, DROVE TO WORK HOLDING MY DOOR SHUT. I WORK IN A METAL SHOP, ONE OF OUR WELDERS RE WELDED THE STRICKER PLATE. THIS HELD FOR A MONTH OR SO. IT NOW HAS BEEN REPAIRED 3 TIMES AND IS STARTING TO BE COSTLY TO MY POCKET. I HAVE TALKED TO MANY PEOPLE WHO OWN OR OWNED CHEVY BLAZERS AND THIS IS VERY COMMON. THERE SHOULD BE SOME SORT OF IMPROVEMENT MADE TO REPAIR THESE. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. AFTER ALL , MY DOOR FLEW OPEN INTO ON COMING TRAFFIC. *TR

Reading this record
No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.
Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
Most recent recall on file: none. Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation.
