I would like to sell my vehicle and dealership can't take it cause of the open air bad recall that I have been waiting a year now to get fixed still hasn't happened
There is a safety issue with the airbag and there is no remedy offered by the dealer / manufacturer.
I initially received the recall for this vehicle over 2 years ago. GMC has still failed to fix the problem with the air bags on this vehicle. It has been documented that these airbags have not only caused injury but deaths as well. I feel 2 years is too long to wait for the recall to be addressed. I have called multiple times over the 2 years to see if my recall could be addressed and I am told each time that they cannot fix the problem at this time.

This has been under a recall for more than a year, and yet there is no remedy time in the near future. Calls to GM simply state that they do not know when they will be able to repair the vehicle. It seems that if GM is continuing to produce cars with airbags that they could at least replace those that are under the recall, rather than inserting them into new cars. Instead, they choose to profit with the new vehicles and leave those impacted by the recall driving in potentially dangerous, if not fatal, vehicles.

I have been getting to many issues lately with my car, I have a family and two little ones we almost got accident today 06/20/2024 the car just suddenly stopped while I’m driving on the highway out of no where (traction control on) airbags issues and to many like every once in a while. I need to secure the safety of my family. I have contracted the dealership before they going to contact me but I haven’t heard from them. I need this fix before something happens worst happens to my family while driving this vehicle.
My husband and I got this vehicle from a used dealership, which they did not tell my husband it had a recall on it before we got it or we never would have gotten it, on March 2,2024. I found out about the driver side airbag recall on March 21, 2024. I called GM dealership about the recall the same day I found out about it, and they ordered the part and told me they would call when the part came in. They called me back and we made the appointment to get the recall fixed on April 11,2024. On April 11,2024 I took our vehicle up to the gm dealership and got told that my vehicle recall wasn’t available yet, the recall was released for my vehicle in May of 2023. The lady that told me the recall wasn’t available yet said to call back on May 10, 2024. When I did they told me it still wasn’t available for our vehicle. I double checked the website on June 10, 2024, and it said there was no remedy available. Due to the driver side airbag being recalled and a big safety concern and I’ve got multiple children that ride in the vehicle as well and do NOT have another vehicle that will fit our whole family in it, I don’t really want to drive it around so nobody gets seriously injured if we were to get in a wreck, and I don’t want to put anyone else in danger by driving it around. I feel like it’s not being taken care of in a timely manner and the only reason I say that is because of the type of recall it has. I feel like the dealership doesn’t care about the safety of their customers. The de

I bought the vehicle in December 2020 from a dealership in Mason, Ohio named Borcherding Buick GMC. I asked, specifically to make sure the vehicle did not have any issues, especially transmission issues and for this to be researched, as well. I was not made aware of Bulletin No.: 18-NA-358, which affected Buick Enclave models from 2014-2017. I purchased the vehicle and sent a wire transfer for the purchase price to the dealership through my bank, USAA. We began experiencing transmission slips about a year into the ownership, and I had my mechanic look into the issue. He had just replaced the transmission on my wife’s 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan previously when it experienced a catastrophic failure and had to be replaced. This is the reason I asked to make sure the transmission on the 2014 Buick Enclave was working correctly and properly and there were no known issues. The mileage of the vehicle was under 60,000 miles at the time of purchase, so this should not have been an issue for the vehicle at all and the previous owner was, apparently, an elderly woman who had the vehicle serviced at the shop, but I cannot confirm this. The point being, there was a known issue with this vehicle that was not disclosed to me that General Motors was aware of and could have led to me not purchasing the vehicle. We needed an SUV to drive my wife and daughter(s) to and from volleyball tournaments and something that we did not have to worry about. The result is a replacement transmission paid for

I was notified of the Takata recall in either May or June of 2023. I was told that the remedy was not yet available. I have been calling the dealership repeatedly. I called again today but was told that they need to order parts to complete my recall and that there hadn't been a fix or parts available to conduct the recall until February of 2024. Given the age and mileage (over 142,000 miles) I am very concerned about the recall not having been performed on my vehicle.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
