Defect. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2026 ACX (Xpeditor) and DC (Legend) vehicles. The steering wheel nut may be improperly secured, allowing the steering wheel to separate from the steering column.

Risk. A steering wheel separation may result in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2024 DC (Legend) vehicles. The air tanks have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Risk. Insufficient air volume can reduce brake function, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2020-2026 DC (Legend) vehicles. The incorrect blower motor fuse may have been installed.

Risk. An incorrect fuse may fail to trip, allowing the blower to short circuit and increasing the risk of a fire.

Defect. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023 Autocar DC (Legend) trucks. The forward collision warning (FCW) system may be inoperative due to a software error.

Risk. An inoperative forward collision warning system that does not function as intended can increase the risk of a crash.

Defect. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2020-2026 Autocar DC (Legend) trucks. The cab shock absorber bracket fasteners may have been improperly secured, allowing the fasteners to detach.

Risk. A detached fastener can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2024 DC (Legend). The horizontal exhaust diffuser may be improperly positioned and vent exhaust toward the CNG fuel tank.

Risk. Exhaust fumes can overheat the fuel tank, increasing the risk of a fire.

Defect. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2020-2024 DC (Legend) vehicles. The wiring harness may route fusible links too closely to other components.

Risk. During a short circuit, the fusible link may ignite nearby material, increasing the risk of a fire.

Defect. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2020-2024 DC (Legend) vehicles. The hazard warning lights may not function independent of the ignition switch. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk. Warning lights that do not illuminate when the ignition switch is in the OFF position can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 DC (Legend) dump trucks. The upper hoist cylinder mounting pin may fail.

Risk. A pin failure can allow the hoist to fall, increasing the risk of injury. In addition, the hoist cylinder can disconnect from the vehicle, becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Risk. A low air pressure warning that does not function properly can result in driving without functioning brakes, increasing the risk of a crash.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."

Risk. A park brake warning light that illuminates incorrectly increases the risk of a crash.

Risk. An improperly secured steering column shaft pinch bolt can cause a sudden loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Autocar, LLC. (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Legend, Xpeditor, and Xspotter trucks equipped with Sheppard Steering Gears. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly,which can cause the gear to fracture.

Risk. A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
