Autocar, LLC reported this defect to federal regulators on Oct 29, 2024 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 80. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2024 DC (Legend). The horizontal exhaust diffuser may be improperly positioned and vent exhaust toward the CNG fuel tank.
The risk
Exhaust fumes can overheat the fuel tank, increasing the risk of a fire.
The remedy
Dealers will inspect and reposition the exhaust diffuser as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 25, 2024. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is DC-2406.
