Defect. Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2019-2026 AN Series, 2023 AA Series, 2022-2026 Digger Derrick, and 2025 AM Series vehicles. The Bendix automatic braking system was not recalibrated after relocating the front radar box.
Risk. An improperly calibrated system may have a delayed braking response, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy. Altec will update the collision mitigation system with the revised the parameters, recalibrate, and test the system, free of charge. Risk. An engine that starts unexpectedly increases the risk of injury to anyone near the engine compartment during maintenance operations.
Remedy. Altec will provide instructions to inspect the power distribution module for a diode, and provide a repair kit as necessary, free of charge. Risk. A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.
Remedy. Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the cable crimps. If the cables are improperly crimped, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to replace the wire rope assemblies. The power inverter that converts electrical DC power to AC power may have been installed without a circuit breaker to protect the AC output circuit.
Risk. Without a circuit breaker, the AC circuit may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Altec will provide instructions to inspect the light assembly for moisture and install a new fuse. If moisture is found or the light is inoperative, a light replacement kit will be installed. Risk. Lifting loads above the boom capacity could overload the unit and cause instability, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy. Altec will provide instructions to owners to test the boom lift pressure limiter setting and set it to the correct pressure, free of charge. Defect. Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2022 DC & DM Series Digger Derrick vehicles. During production, an incorrect bolt may have been used to attach the derrick rotation bearing.
Risk. An incorrect bolt in the derrick rotation bearing may cause the adjacent bolts to be overloaded during operation, which could cause separation of the rotation bearing, and increase the risk of an injury.
