Defect. Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2026 Service Body, Aerial Device, Digger Derrick, and AC Series Crane vehicles. These vehicles may have been manufactured without a rearview camera installed.
Risk. A missing rearview camera can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy. Altec will install a camera or provide a camera kit to owners as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters will be mailed December 4, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3376.

The turntable mounted platform access step may have been improperly welded between the step tube and mounting plate, and allow the step to separate from the vehicle.
Risk. A step that separates or becomes unstable while in use, increases the risk of a fall or injury.

Defect. Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Altec Digger Derrick, and 2023-2025 Altec TA Series Aerial Device vehicles. Improper wiring may prevent the boom stow auto-neutral feature from engaging, which can allow the truck to be driven while the boom is still elevated.
Risk. When the vehicle is moved or driven with the boom out of stow, the vehicle could exceed the recorded travel height, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy. Altec will correct the wiring in the power distribution module to enable the boom stow auto-neutral functionality, free of charge. Risk. An improperly calibrated system may have a delayed braking response, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy. Altec will update the collision mitigation system with the revised the parameters, recalibrate, and test the system, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 16, 2026. Defect. Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2025-2026 Digger Derrick and 2025-2026 Aerial Device vehicles. The front end radar was improperly installed, which may result in improper operation of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Active Brake Assist (ABA).
Risk. While driving, the brakes may activate unexpectedly without the driver's input, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy. Altec will inform the owners to inspect the front end radar installation and if installed incorrectly, instruct owners to take the vehicle to an OEM Chassis dealer to have the radar remounted and calibrated, free of charge. Risk. An incorrect pressure rating may lead to underinflated tires, increasing the risk of a tire blowout or a crash.
