TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 VOLVO 780. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE CONTACT FELT LIGHTHEADED AND STEERED THE VEHICLE INTO THE MEDIAN. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO TREES, FLIPPED OVER, AND LANDED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CUT ON THE RIGHT LOWER CHIN THAT REQUIRED STITCHES, A FEW CUTS ON THE NOSE AND BOTH SIDES OF THE FACE, WHIPLASH, AND BRUISED EYES. THE CONTACT RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION AND PHYSICAL THERAPY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER AND DECLARED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 42,000.

TWO OUT OF THREE VOLVO DEALERSHIPS STATE NO PROBLEM OR A PROBLEM THEY CANT FIX. ONE DEALERSHIP, DAYTON OHIO REPLACED REAR CAB SHOCKS WHICH SUBSEQUENTLY GAVE MINOR IMPROVEMENTS. IM WAITING TO HEAR FROM VOLVO TO SEE WHAT ELSE CAN BE DONE OTHER THEN ME PURCHASING AFTER MARKET SHOCKS OR AIR BAGS. DUE TO THE UNCONTROLLABLE SWAY FROM ROAD, WIND, OTHER VEHICLE TURBULENCE AND THE EXCESS WEIGHT OF THE TOP OF THE SLEEPER, THIS VEHICLE WILL CAUSE MAJOR OVER CORRECTIONS BY THE DRIVER AND COULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IN WINTER CONDITIONS.
