Defect. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES. THESE MOTORCYCLES MAY HAVE BEEN ASSEMBLED WITH THREADED FASTENERS FROM A DEFECTIVE MATERIAL LOT THAT MAY FAIL IN ASSEMBLY. THESE FASTENERS ARE USED TO ATTACH FOUR SUB-ASSEMBLIES ONTO THE VEHICLE.

Risk. FASTENER FAILURE WILL REDUCE THE CLAMP LOAD STRENGTH OF THE ASSEMBLY AND POSSIBLE JOINT FAILURE.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE M10X50 SOCKET HEAD SCREWS WITH NEW PARTS.
