Brake booster failed. Brake Actuator failed. ABS,BRAKE and TRACTION control light is on.
2010 Toyota Prius complaints
Owner reports filed with NHTSA about this vehicle, newest first and reproduced as filed. They are unverified accounts: one proves nothing, and a pattern across many is the thing worth reading. Back to the full 2010 record →
I purchased my car in January 2010 within that first year I noticed that randomly if I hit a bump in the road and I would apply my brakes my car would do a wired skid and I couldn’t break properly. This has continued the entire time I’ve owned my car. Last month I was driving down the highway and ABS! Red brake light and ABS warning light all illuminated. As I was exiting the highway and applying the break I noticed my brakes were very spongy taking considerably more effort to stop. I started noticing a few months ago my breaks took considerably more effort stop and breaks felt spongier. The day my warning lights lit up a mechanic stated a code of C1391 was detected. Indicating break booster problems. NHTSA issued a recall Rep 13v235000 which is Break Booster my car was manufactured 10/09 so I understood my car was part of this recall but Toyota claims that is not a recall but a customer support program which has expired 2 years ago. I’m the original owner w/ 69,000 miles. Clearly my vehicle has and continues to have break issues so why is Toyota shirking responsibility and endangering me and other drivers allowing a car w/ breaking issues to not be properly repaired under the recall
Strut mount on Monroe Quick Strut catastrophically failed with no warning. No corrosion noted, appears to be metal fatigue due to inferior design / manufacturing of aftermarket strut mount. Failure happened when leaving driveway at low speed; no prior noises or warning occurred.
Brake booster/ Brake Actuator problems
I believe Brake Actuator seems to be malfunctioning. Noises come from the location of the Brake Actuator when I am lightly braking at low speeds. I am getting Antilock Braking System code "C1256" reading "ACCumulator Low Pressure". There are a similar recalls related to my issue. Recall number: 10V039000 and Recall number: 13V235000
A known defect was briefly recalled, then sunsetted. My brake attenuator has failed, as has been the case for many others on this model. Toyota has acknowledged the defect, but no longer supports it.
Normal braking pressure failed to stop the vehicle requiring the driver to apply very heavy pressure to stop the vehicle and avoid a rear end collision. Multiple dash lights appeared and the vehicle was towed to a Toyota dealer. The dealer confirmed codes C1252 and C1256 exist and recommended that the brake booster pump assembly be replaced. An August 6, 2018 Toyota Service Bulletin (T-SB-0079-18) recognized this problem. Toyota sent Customer Support Program Notification ZJB noting that "Toyota has received reports about certain internal malfunctions of brake booster assemblies in some of the subject vehicles. In these reports, customers have noted various brake system related warning lamps illuminated." Toyota noted that, "This is not a recall." Toyota suggests that certain warning lights may illuminate but does not warn drivers that normal braking may cease and that the vehicle can be dangerously difficult to stop.
ABS brake light on. Just purchased this vehicle and found Toyota knows of a defect in the master brake cylinder that causes it to leak. Toyota was repairing this problem free of charge till 2019. This vehicle has never had the repair. I am told brakes may go from power brakes to non power brakes while driving. We are not driving till it gets fixed because of safety problem with brakes.
There is a known problem with 2010-2015 Toyota Prius brake actuator assembly and also the brake booster pump assembly. A leak develops and cannot hold proper brake pressure which will lead to catastrophic failure of the system and a life or death brake failure. Toyota has acknowledged the problem and issued a recall only covering 150,000 miles or 10 years from date of first use. This recall should be extended to all affected vehicles for the LIFETIME of the vehicle given that it is a known manufacturing defect affecting life and limb and that repair costs average over $3000.
Brake booster/ brake pump / accumulator sudden failure BELIEVED TO BE CAUSED BY THE SENSOR WARNING SYSTEM ⚠️ THAT ABS LIGHT ASSOOCIATED WITH CONSTANT BEEPING NOISE, 10 SECONDS LATER LOSE OF BRAKE POWER. factory trick to get brake service, at large for this repair costs 3800 per dealership toyota carlsbads. Manipulative recall 🤔 disallowed me on 3 occasions unable to get part replaced by Toyota. When contacting corporate the did not demand me to get fixed and not drive NY car, again getting my car to tge service station experienced noise occurring then sudden outage of brake power reduced to nothing. A similar youtube video and my personal video explain sudden loss of brake power or pressure... after lights go on. And immediately return to normal after lights get reset. Sensor failure leading to brake failure, really scary and obviously a big problem TOYOT SHOULD STILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR. CONSUMER SERVICE PROGRAM BY TOYOTA FOR THIS BRALE BOOSTER ISSUE STOPPED FOR SOME REASON IN 2019 ALSO. 150K BS RULE. MERCEDES BENZ HAS TAKEN THE RIGHT ACTION TO FIXING BRAKE BOOSTER ISSUES.
Hi- I have a Toyota Prius 2010 model and I encountered a braking failure yesterday. My ABS lights, brake lights and another light came up on my dashboard of the car. Upon diagnosis, I was informed by Toyota dealership that my car has a faulty C1391 - Abnormal leak in accumulator. This condition may be caused by small internal brake fluid leak inside the brake booster assembly with master cylinder. This is a known issue by Toyota and lots of press coverage on this issue since the past few years. I was told today that if this issue occurred within 10 year or purchase or <150K then the repair work would be covered by Toyota. I purchased the car in 2010 and I past the 10 year mark but mileage coverage is 125K (<150K). Toyota is unwilling to bear the cost and would want me to pay for the fix. This is a known issue with Toyota and the braking system can fail anytime before/or after 10 year mark. It is now costing me $3000 to repair. I am shocked with the Toyota's response in this matter. There are lots of blogs I read online who have similar issue. Class Action lawsuit: https://www.classaction.org/news/toyota-hit-with-class-action-over-alleged-refusal-to-fix-braking-system-defect-in-hybrid-vehicles Here is one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA9jyrbZDWo Thanks.
The Traction control, ABS, and Brake light all came on simultaneously. It was random with no trigger. The brakes feel spongy, and will not regenerate to charge the hybrid system.
My Toyota Prius has significant problems with mice entering and living in the vehicle. They stay in the cabin filter area and there is evidence they come into the cabin and deposit feces on the floor mats, glove compartment and air filters. There are numerous instances of this on online forums and it appears Toyota does not design to deter rodents. Vent openings are large and unscreened and there are numerous areas in the car that are perfect for mice and rodents to live. Other cars do not have this issue. Toyota must design their cars better so as not to be infested with mice. They must screen openings to vents and other access points and limit areas that are appealing to mice and rodents to live. This is a health and safety hazard. Recently a mice died somewhere in the dash area behind the glove compartment and it has created a horrible smell. I do not leave food in my car and keep it very neat and clean. This is clearly a design issue and many people have reported this on Prius and Toyota forums. Thank you for taking this concern seriously. It has cost me a lot of money and been very difficult. [XXX] Prius Owner 7 Years. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
Hazard lights flashing, flashes faster at higher speeds. Hazard button useless. Mechanic not sure what is the problem; reset codes. Problem went away for a few days and then came back.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Prius. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal was depressed however, the vehicle failed to respond as needed; causing the stopping distance to be extended. The contact stated that the ABS, brakes, and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the ABS system and brake booster needed to be replaced. The local dealer was contacted and the contact was informed that NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V039000 (Service Brakes, Air) had expired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 220,000.
My brakes have been making hissing noises whenever I press on the brake pedal for the past year. While driving on the freeway 300 miles from my home, numerous lights on my dashboard came on including brake, VSC, PCS, ABS, Triangle and "CHECK PCS SYSTEM" warning message. The brake also makes pumping noise every 4 seconds. The vehicle has no regenerative braking. The brake pedal is mushy and doesn't slow the car down until the pedal is fully depressed. I contacted Toyota and was told that there was a Customer Support Program ZJB that covers 2010-2015 Prius Vehicles for Brake Booster and Brake Booster Pump Assemblies. However, that program only covers 10 yrs 150 miles. My Prius has 110k miles but it's 21 months passed the program coverage. The car is dangerous to drive and Toyota will not honor the recall. I am stuck with a car with no brakes.
I drive a 2010 Toyota Prius. Color of the car is Pearl White and its starting to peel off and bare metal of the car is getting exposed. Exposed metal will start rusting and start impacting the sturdiness of the car and eventually the safety. Toyota Manufacturer already has a recall in place for several Toyota models for same pearl white paint as shown in link below but Prius model is not part of it. I feel Prius model should also be included in this recall plan as it uses same Pearl white paint. Its a manufacturers defect and they should fix it at their expense. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/defects-autos-paint-toyota-warranty-extension-1.5459368
On March 25, 2022, I was driving my 2010 Toyota Prius, approx. 209,000 miles. When I had parked my vehicle, and turned my A/C on, my vehicle started to make this annoying beeping noise non-stop and all of the light on the dashboard had lit up. My brake lights, ABS, and the slip indicator all came on. When I went to drive my vehicle all of sudden my brakes did not respond. I had to force break and push down on the brakes very hard, to the point where I'm flooring the brakes. I checked with Toyota to see if there was a recall on my vehicle, and they told me that there were no recalls. When I did my research on 2010 Toyota Prius, I found that this is a common issue that the brake actuator and brake booster pumps are faulty on these vehicles. I did not receive a recall notice for this vehicle. Currently, my vehicle is not drivable and not safe to drive. For this to happen out of nowhere with no warning is unacceptable.
I was driving on the road and right before a stop light my car jumped as if someone hit me from behind. After looking in my rear view and seeing no one on me I realized something else happened. I look at my dash and check hybrid system light was on. I was in traffic at the light waiting and looked it up on my phone to find out what to do. Some article said to pull over and turn it off and restart it. The light turned green and traffic started moving so I started to drive. I thought I could probably make it home but the car started driving a lot slower than usual. I really didn’t want to pull over because it was in a bad part of town but I felt like I had no choice because the car was barely moving. It seemed more dangerous to be on the road with other drivers. So I pulled over and parked and tried starting it again. It wouldn’t shift to drive so now I’m stuck and can’t get home unless I pay to get my car towed. I get my car towed to the house. I put a meter on the battery and it was fine. I put a diagnostics tester on it and came up with these codes POA1A and POA94. I contacted hybrid mechanic that doesn’t work at Toyota and he said to take it in to a dealership and sent me the ZE3 warranty letter and said they would fix it. I paid for it to be towed to the dealership. There were already a lot of cars waiting to be serviced when I got there. Anyway, they said they would fix it after they did their diagnostics after I paid $120 for it. That was 3/21/2022. I sent CSR the ZE3 le
As nitrogen is released into the brake fluid, the brake pedal may have reduced hydraulic pressure. Under certain circumstances, this condition could affect stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash.
A number of things have failed on this car. 1. The hybrid battery pack system shut down and warned that I needed to see a mechanic. My mechanic diagnosed that the hybrid invert was defective and causing the battery pack to fail. 2. When braking at both low and high speeds, the car increasingly struggles to come to a stop. When applying foot pressure, you can hear the pump winding - this occurs while at rest as well as when trying to slow the car down. There are times when applying the brake that the floor pedal will lock and cause the car to skid while barely reducing the speed of the car. I have had multiple near accident incidences as a result and put myself and others at risk. 3. The car ferociously vibrates every morning - discovered that the head gasket has failed prematurely and due to the car overcompensating for the failing hybrid battery that is being impacted by the failing hybrid inverter. All problems have been reproduced and diagnosed at independent service centers. Multiple codes, warning lights and messages have alerted me to engine and battery issues - all of which appeared after the various issues and failures.
Traveling at freeway speed just after midnight, the "check engine" light came on. Less than one minute later, the "check hybrid system" alert came on, with an exclamation mark inside of a yellow triangle symbol displayed. The vehicle instantly had no power when the accelerator was depressed. The vehicle coasted to a stop and would not shift into drive. The vehicle was towed to our home. Upon delivering the vehicle to our home, the tow driver used an emergency battery jump start device and the vehicle was able to shift into drive and be driven into the garage. The 12 volt battery was replaced the next day and the vehicle no longer exhibited any disfunction. This was an unexpected event with no warning that the 12 volt battery was in need of replacement. It could have resulted in a serious collision, if the freeway had been more congested, as the vehicle had been immediately driven 2 lanes over to the nearest exit, and came to a stop just after exiting, safely at the side of the road. This is a very dangerous safety condition that should have had some type of alert that the simple 12 volt battery system was in danger of failing, causing a catastrophic failure of the engine and power train. Or, the car should simply not be able to drive, if the 12 volt battery is that low, to ensure passenger and community safety. Prime example: Toyota Prius has a warning alert that the key fob battery is low. The warning gives you a couple of weeks to replace the battery, and repeatedly display
2010 Prius Brake, ABS, Traction Control Lights On/Off with no codes I bought new car and running smooth so far. I got this lights 2 months back and off for sometime and came back on and off and now quite often coming back and forth, 106K miles had the ABS, Traction Control and Brake light all come on at once same time and off same time and back and forth. No codes and no flashing but this is very critical as all related to brake systems failures may leads to crash because we don't know when this lights on and off and no codes to fix this issue.
For the past 2 weeks my prius has been acting very strange. When driving I have a hard time coming to a stop when pushing the brake and I realize that that the ABS light is on as well the brake light is on. Sometimes it will work fine with the lights off, and somtimes it messes up again. I heard that it could be a brake booster or module. I believe it was already recalled a few years ago, but seeing a lot more people complain about recently is a bit concerning. The part that was replaced, it should work for many years not less than 10. Its a huge risk for myself and others. I didn't realize what was happening until I needed to stop fast. This needs to be fixed fast and the right way this time before somebody dies
Brake system fails under normal driving conditions. Dealership diagnostics confirmed this falls under the Customer Support Program ZJB. This program expired in 2020 and Toyota customer care is unwilling to fix or reimburse for the $2200 expense associated with the defective brake booster and brake booster pump assembly. The Toyota case number is #220318001387.
In Nov 2020 I was informed that my ABS actuator needed to be replaced since all warning systems went off and brakes were disabled. On March 13, 2022 the ABS and traction system warning came on again . On March 14, 2022 I had my car towed to Daves Ultimate Automotive in Austin, Texas because my brakes failed. They told me I needed to replace the Brake Booster which is going to coat me $2500. I have looked at car complaints and this seems to be a faulty system that Toyota is aware of because they extended a warranty to Dec 2019. It is my belief that this should be a recall because of the dangerous potential of no brakes when this system fails.
Brake warning lights, traction control, and ABS warning lights all illuminated on the dash. Taken to the dealership and was told brake failure due to actuator or brake boost. Upon further research, it looks like this is a known issue with the Prius but Toyota is only providing service/repair to certain vehicles who already show brake failure instead of issuing a recall for all potentially affected vehicles.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle started making a beeping noise. The contact stated that an unknown warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled into an apartment complex and while depressing the brake pedal the failed to respond. After driving over several speed bumps and using extra energy to depress the brake pedal the vehicle responded and slowed to a stop. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it remained. The contact stated the dealer informed her that the brake master cylinder and brake booster pump needed to be replaced. After researching the cause of the failure, the contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V235000 (Service Brakes) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was then informed that the vehicle warranty had expired. The approximate failure mileage was 180,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Prius. The contact stated while exiting the highway and getting into the right lane at 60 MPH, the ABS warning light, brake light, and the traction control warning light illuminated and the vehicle lost braking functionality. The contact depressed the brake pedal with added force to get the vehicle to slow enough that he was able to get off of the highway ramp and pull over. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle; however, the warning lights were still illuminated. The contact stated that extra force was needed to stop the vehicle. The contact drove the vehicle to his residence. The contact has not taken the vehicle to a local dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 182,000.
The Brake booster and master cylinder failed causing the braking system to fail while driving
My prius appears to have the same problem that an excessive number of other 2010 priuses have with it's regenerative braking. This is a common and well known issue among these cars. Despite the fact that I am at 132k miles, under the 150k limit for the extended warranty, I am going to be stuck spending thousands and thousands of dollars to get my vehicle fixed because it is about 2 years past the 10 year limit.
2010 TOYOTA PRIUS. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGRDS TO DEFECTIVE ABS SYSTEM. THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER ADVISED THE BRAKE ACCUMULATOR. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED ABOUT A RECALL BUT, IT HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED. THE BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE.
While driving, my traction lights, ABS light, and Brake light came on the dash with no noises or other messages. I noticed my brakes took significantly more distance to stop and then stopped working altogether. I had to use my emergency brake to get stopped safely.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that the braking system warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed with a brake fluid leak in the brake master cylinder. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the extended warranty had expired. The failure mileage was approximately 81,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS, traction control, and parking brake warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the brake pedal was difficult to depress. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed with brake booster pump assembly failure. The brake booster pump assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V235000 (Service Brakes) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 88,500.
The brake assembly is noisy while stopped at lights. The brake pedal continues slowly downward when pressed as if there is a leak in the brake master cylinder. Toyota has issued a warranty extension for a problem of fluid leaking in the brake booster, but did not notify me. Toyota's code for the warranty extension is Customer Support Program ZJB. Two local dealerships have refused to perform the repair because the warranty extension expired before I became aware of the issue.
Last year on September 13, 2021 I purchase a used 2010 Toyota Prius ( Vehicle VIN[XXX]) with 122414 miles on the Odometer, I got my oil changed on October 29, 2021 so I can keep track of when my oil is due. My odometer reading on oil change was 123,268. I drove 2806 miles, when I woke up on December 08, 2021 with no oil in my engine. I thought that was very strange so after adding a quart of oil My husband got for me. I took the vehicle back to the shop ( Good Year Tire & Rubber Company 1585- A Island Lane Fleming Island, FL 32003) I originally had my oil changed at, to have them check if there was some sort of leak. The odometer reading at that day/ service was 126,074. After a full inspection of the engine exterior componence, no leak was to be found. Then I decided to do some research only to find out that back in 2016 Toyota had a lawsuit against them for having manufacturer defects in the productions of engine between the years of 2006 - 2011. The manufacturer defect was the engine piston would eventually start having oil leaks into the engine causing engine excessive oil consumption. That same day I took my vehicle to the nearest Toyota dealership ( Coggin Toyota At the Avenues 11340 Philips Hwy Jacksonville FL32256) for a engine oil consumption test to be serviced on my vehicle. This process takes place by filling oil to the full line marking it... confirming there is no leaks....sealing everything and I was to return after driving 1200 miles ( odometer reading at serv
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the vehicle suddenly stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the engine had overheated and blown the head gasket. The engine was replaced, and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 164,912,
2010 toyota prius brake booster failure. according to multiple resources online, there have been known issues with this part from Toyota across multiple models. After recalling only a small portion of vehicles due to this failure, complaints have been filed with nhtsa to address toyota's lack of corrective action regarding the vast amount of vehicles utilizing this technology. this is a dangerous defect that caused my brakes to malfunction during a cross-country trip. my brake and ABS lights suddenly came on, and i could tell my prius handled differently. the brake pedal became hard to depress and stop time increased drastically. i am having a mechanic diagnose and repair this issue costing no less than $1200 in austin, TX. i would like to make a complaint to toyota for not recalling all the models with this issue and instead choosing to recall a minute fraction of potentially defective vehicles.
Recalls.
Brake Booster Failure; has been inspected and confirmed. Warning lamps for traction control, ABS, Brake System Lights, Master Warning Light all came on during normal city driving. Immediate loss of Brake Assist causing sudden need for much more distance while stopping the vehicle. Clearly, sudden changes in brake behavior is a safety concern and this problem seems to be well documented as common issue in this era of Toyota vehicles. I believe Toyota has fallen short in its efforts to remmedy the situation. An extended warranty was issued but it was for a brief period of time that required this problem to occur within a narrow window. It's a wildly expensive repair to a critical system and it seems to be a common problem in these cars.
The airbag light on my 2010 Prius intermittently goes on and off. I have brought it to Toyota as well as my mechanic to see if anyone can find the problem. I've been told I need to change the seat and or the weight sensor isn't working. When I looked at the numerous PRius websites this is unbelievably common!
We have a 2010 Prius Purchased March 2010. Toyota issued a "Customer Support Program" (free extended warranty) for the brake booster and brakebooster pump assemblies in 2019. The Primary Coverage was offered until 11-30-19 regardless of milage. After that the secondary coverage applied for 10 years or up to 150,000 miles. The information mailed to us states; "If you have not experienced the condition described above, there is no action necessary at this time." We did not experience any brake problems until 11-10-21, when the dash display lit up with the BRAKE LITE, ABS LITE, SLIP INDICATOR LITE, AND THE ! LITE, ALL CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME. ALSO THE BRAKE PEDDLE BECAME SPONGY AND AT TIMES VERY HARD TO DEPRESS. We had our Toyota dealer run a diagnostic scan of the vehicle and they determined the brake booster and brakebooster pump were defected. The car has 70,000 miles on it at this time, and we have owned the car for 10 years and 8 months. Toyota will not honor this Customer Support Program since we are 8 months beyond the expiration date. There was a RECALL number 13V235000 issued 06-05-13 for the same exact problem, with NO EXPIRATION DATE. However, Toyota says it does not apply to our car. This problem causes the power brakes to not work as power, only manual brakes (Hard to Push). They also become very soft and not responsive if the engine has not run since the last time the brakes were pushed. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE! ! ! My question is, the problem was a big e
I have a 2010 Toyota Prius. The ABS pump unit broke down while driving on the road. Suddenly the breaks were not functioning correctly. Breaks got squeeze. Apparently it's a common issue and Toyota had a program around it to fix it till Jan 2021. But I couldn't go fix it before coz the lights didn't show up. Now in Oct 2021 it's broken and is not covered. I don't know how a company gets to call such a safety issue as option and not a recall and get away with it. The vehicle has already been identified as having a bad part. How come the company does own up to it considering it's an important part of the breaking system.
While driving traction, abs and brake light came on. braking feels forced by driver.
The contact owns 2010 Toyota Prius. The contact stated while driving 72 MPH, she noticed several unknown warning lights illuminated on the vehicle and a beeping sound coming from the vehicle. The contact noticed that whenever the beeping sound was present, it was very difficult to depress the brake pedal to slow the vehicle. The contact had to depress on the brake pedal all the way to the floor for the vehicle to slow down and for the contact to pull over to the side of the road. The contact waited for a minute before restarting the vehicle and continued to drive a short distance before the failure recurred. The contact was able to restart and slowly drive the vehicle back to the residence. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the ABS pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
Last week I check hybrid system message appeared on the screen and orange triangle with check engine light. I took it to the shop and they said that there are code P0A94 wich is related to the inverted and that is needed replacement. I saw that there was recall on inverter and want to see if I can get it replaced. Thanks
The brakes, ABS, and traction light came on car but it does not stay on. Took it to the dealership and the advisor said it would be $2,500. If this gas been a recall in the past then it should still be a recall. I am extremely disappointed in Toyota as a whole to bail out on something that is as crucial as the safety of brake failure.
Low pitched rumbling sound from front wheel well when car is moving between 5-25 mph.
The digital speedometer display has stopped working. I can no longer see my speed or fuel gauge. I was quoted nearly $3,000 at the dealer to repair the vehicle.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
