NHTSA campaign 25V903000 · Part 573 safety recall report

Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini): Back Over Prevention › Sensing System › Camera

Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini) reported this defect to federal regulators on Dec 21, 2025 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 10,554. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2019-2024 Urus vehicles. A software error may deactivate the rearview camera image, resulting in the image not displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The risk

A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Dealers will update the parking assist software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 9, 2026. Owners may contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276. Lamborghini's number for this recall is L636-R.01.26.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 25V903000.
