Shyft Group: Exterior Lighting
Shyft Group reported this defect to federal regulators on Jul 7, 2025 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 2,785. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2015-2025 Utilimaster Truck Body vehicles. The signal converter may fail, which can cause the brake lights and turn signals to become inoperative.
The risk
Inoperative turn signals and brake lights can fail to alert other road users to the driver's intentions to turn or stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Shyft will inspect and repair the signal converter connecters as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2025. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 25-16.
