Jayco, Inc. reported this defect to federal regulators on Mar 19, 2024 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 136. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Jayco Solstice, Solstice LI, Entegra Coach Expanse, and Expanse LI motorhomes built on Ford chassis. The rearview camera, or 360-degree view camera if equipped, may not display a rearview image when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

The risk

Loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Ford or Lincoln dealers will replace the rearview camera, and update the software and wiring as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 18, 2024. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is Ford 23V-598.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 24V212000.
