Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC: Air Bags › Srs Malfunction Warning Lamp/Light
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC reported this defect to federal regulators on Feb 15, 2022 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 18,824. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. The supplemental restraint system (SRS) warning light software is programmed incorrectly, which may cause the warning light to malfunction and intermittently illuminate.
The risk
An SRS system warning light that falsely illuminates could prevent the detection of an actual air bag system failure, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will update the restraints control module (RCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 23, 2022. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N664.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 22V080000.
