Thor Motor Coach: Seat Belts › Rear/Other › Buckle Assembly
Thor Motor Coach reported this defect to federal regulators on Jul 22, 2020 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 49. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Sequence and Tellaro motorhomes. The dinette booth seat belts may be too short preventing them from being usable by some occupants. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."
The risk
Inability to use the seat belt may increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
The remedy
TMC will notify owners, and dealers will replace the 18-inch seat belt tether with a 24-inch tether on both sides of the dinette booth, free of charge. This recall began September 16, 2020. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000198.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 20V424000.
