Supreme Corporation: Equipment
Supreme Corporation reported this defect to federal regulators on Mar 9, 2018 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 33,321. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Supreme Corporation (Supreme) is recalling certain 2003-2018 Supreme Signature Van, Iner-City, Kold King, and Service Body trucks, equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. The risk
In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

Supreme will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde to get a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on May 7, 2018. A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 18V168000.
