Eldorado National-Kansas: Exterior Lighting
Eldorado National-Kansas reported this defect to federal regulators on Aug 24, 2016 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 320. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Eldorado National-Kansas (Eldorado National) is recalling certain model year 2011-2016 Aero Elite 300 and 320 vehicles manufactured June 27, 2011, to June 9, 2016 and built on Ford and Navistar chassis. The intermediate side lamps may not stay illuminated when the headlights are on. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
The risk
If the side marker lamps do not stay illuminated when the headlights are activated, it can decrease the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Eldorado National will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the intermediate side lamps, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on October 17, 2016. Owners may contact Eldorado National customer service at 1-800- 955-4236 or by email at [email protected].

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 16V616000.
