Winnebago Industries, Inc: Equipment › Other › Labels
Winnebago Industries, Inc reported this defect to federal regulators on Aug 5, 2015 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 1,732. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain model year 2012-2016 Winnebago Era recreational vehicles manufactured November 11, 2010, to July 20, 2015. The certification label affixed to the vehicles provide an incorrect front tire inflation pressure. Accordingly, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
The risk
Incorrect tire pressure information could cause an owner or operator to under or over inflate the tires, increasing the risk of a tire failure and a crash.
The remedy
Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will provide new certification labels with the correct tire inflation pressure specifications, free of charge. The recall began on September 18, 2015. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-3535.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 15V490000.
