NHTSA campaign 14V615000 · Part 573 safety recall report

Entegra Coach: Fuel System, Diesel

Entegra Coach reported this defect to federal regulators on Oct 1, 2014 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 38. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain model year 2015 Aspire and Anthem Class A motorhomes manufactured July 18, 2014, to September 17, 2014. The Cummins ISB or ISL engines in these vehicles may have been equipped with Fleetguard UFF-XT fuel filters, part number FF63009, whose filter shell may separate from the fuel filter nut plate causing the engine to stall without warning.

The risk

If the engine stalls unexpectedly there is an increased risk of a crash.

The remedy

Entegra will notify owners, and Spartan Chassis dealers will work with Cummins to replace the fuel filter with a non-defective one, free of charge. The recall began during October 2014. Owners may contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-945-4787.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 14V615000.
