Villa International: Seat Belts
Villa International reported this defect to federal regulators on Apr 10, 2014 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 88. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Villa International (Villa) is recalling certain Villa ISS driver and passenger GSK seats. These seats were used in certain model year 2014 Tiffin Allegro Bus and Zephyr recreational vehicles, 2015 American Coach brand American Eagle, American Tradition, and American Revolution recreational vehicles, and 2014 Jayco Entegra Cornerstone recreational vehicles. The seat belt attachment may be incorrect and the seat belt may fray if it rubs along a steel bracket in the seat, reducing its strength. As such, these seats do not conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."
The risk
The weakened seat belt may fail to properly restrain the seat occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy
Villa will notify the affected vehicle manufacturers and the manufacturer's dealers will contact the vehicle owners. Owners may contact Villa at 1-888-707-7272.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 14E015000.
