Issued I have had with this vehicle was the camshaft , started shaking and missfire as I was driving heard from other ram owners that this is a common issue on 3.6 ltr The other was an electrical wiring harness that's goes to the engine I have a knob gear shifter as I was driving vehicles. Switch to park and dashboard read something like stop vehicle and restart to shift gear . I thought I had moved it by accident . Next day drove from la, to thousands oaks . Trip started fine till I got to my destination by the grace of God I made it asoon as I parked it all the lights on my dashboard came on traction control throttle body automatic brakes crankshaft sensor and I forgot what else had it towed to LA to mechanic shop where it took them about 3 -4 weeks to pinpoint the issue the esults were the wires were melted and corroded you could see the green residue all along the wire harness. I'm grateful it ain't catch fire or stop on the highway in the middle of the freeway
Electric power steering. Total loss of power steering.
On about [XXX], I was driving and my engine felt like it missed and my check engine light came on and a message appeared telling me to get remote throttle serviced. The truck began to drive badly and lack of acceleration made it difficult to maneuver in traffic. The truck was very difficult to start and unsafe to pull into traffic due to lagging ability to accelerate. I took it to a Firestone and they pulled the codes and said the crankshaft sensor and crank tone wheel had failed and needed replacing. I decided to take it to a RAM dealer in Franklin TN to confirm the diagnosis. After about a week, they confirmed and said crankshaft sensor and reluctor wheel needed to be replaced. I asked them if it would be covered under the recall (FCA W58) on the known defect of the crank tone wheel delaminating. When the recall occurred, I had the temporary solution of a computer flash done back in 2021, but the actual defective part was not replaced. They reported back to me that the cost of the repair would not be covered. They said my truck was too old, but the defect was discovered while my truck was still under warranty. Also, under a previous FCA lawsuit, they were made to pay truck owners money and extend their warranty. How can they get away with not having to rectify a known defect without fixing the problem? The computer flash simply allowed the vehicle to continue to operate, but it was by no means safe to operate on public streets in traffic. Will the NHTSA make FCA actually fi

My vehicle has a malfunction ABS module and is causing error codes. The OEM Mopar part 68228991AD has been discontinued for years. Getting a replacement has become impossible. I have called the company and they said they are looking into the issue. This has been going on for a very long time. Mopar needs to either sell the item, or issue a recall, if the item is faulty. My ABS is a risk and cause an accident in bad weather. PLEASE HELP ME GET MY REPLACEMENT PART so I can safely drive my truck.

The seat belt locks and then when I unlatch it and try to put it back on, I can't because it stays locked and won't pull AT ALL to be able to put it back on.
In August 2024, the ABS Module on my 2015 RAM 1500 failed - the ABS and Brake lights are on full time. I have new brakes so the vehicle is safe to drive, but with the ABS module out, the cruise control does not work either. A new ABS module is impossible to find - dealers or independent shops cannot get one. Apparently, the part is on engineering hold. Reading various forums, this is a common and known Dodge failure with no foreseeable resolution. There are recalls and class action lawsuits, but not for my year / model. I can't get it fixed, I can't sell it with a known failed system and there is no timeline to resolve the problem. Not to mention the decreased safety with the ABS inoperative. This is completely unsatisfactory.
Rear Axle Shaft replacement Rear axle bearing & axle seal replacement Low compression cylinder 3 - not fixed It stalled out while driving and I made it to the side of the road and I had to have it towed. It was determined it is low compression on cylinder 3. Possible internal valve in the engine. Engine light came on right before it stalled.

While driving there is intermittent loss of power steering during a turn where at times it will be hard then easy to turn. While at highway speed it causes issue with maintaining your lane and in town making short turns can be hard. There is no warning before it happens and it's completely random.
On 3/19/2025 steering wheel would lock up for a second while turning. This is now continually happing and service power steering light comes on for a second then turns off.

When turn the steering wheel feels like it doesnt want to turn and almost wont but then it will go back to normal buf then it will do it agian this happens 2 or 3 times during 1 turn. It happens in when turning in both directions but only on the turn on when wheel is turning back to stright. My safty and other drivers or pedestrians could be injured or be killed by this happing not being able to turn the truck where it is meant to be turned. I afraid that it is going to get worse and i may hit someone or something. There was no warning before, during, or after this happening had a OBD 2 tester hooked up to after it happened the 2 time and it showed nothing about anything relevant to this problem. The shop said that it could be a part failure or malfunction and quoted me $3500. I just bought the truck and knew i would have some problems to fix buying a used truck. But the motor and transmission were hood so i wasnt thi king there would be any really big expenses. Buf then this happened. I called the previous owner and asked if he had any problems similar to that and he said he did but only when it was cold after truck warmed up he wouldn’t notice it, but also said that he didn’t drive it much the last few months due to him having a new truck. He told me he first noticed it around September 2024.
Steering gear has signs of internal shorting. Component is electric. Results in total loss of power steering. My vehicle has the same exact issue as the one noted in recall S19 (see attached document) but is not noted as an open recall with Chrysler Dodge Open Recall Hotline or Stew Hanson Dodge in West Des Moines, IA.
Truck dashboard is showing warning/hazard lamps for Automatic Braking (ABS), Emergency Breaking, and trailer breaking. The cruise control is also not working. Error code C2200 is registered. I've taken it to a RAM dealer and Firestone. Both say that the ABS module (68228991AB) needs to be replaced, but parts are not available. This problem was initially identified May 2024. I call every month to see if the part are available and they say to call back next month. RAM Trucks (aka Stellantis) instructed all dealers and parts suppliers to return all new versions of the part.
Last week, On Thursday, [XXX], at 8 am, I dropped off my vehicle (VIN# [XXX] ) at the local Ram dealership in Houston for performing the recall issued three years ago, on Jun 09, 2022, Manufacturer Recall Number Z46 , NHTSA Recall Number22V-406 . I have been reading online that there are no parts available since the recall was issued in 2022 and I did not want to wait, as this truck is my work vehicle. In March of 2025, almost three years later, I figured that the parts availability issues would be solved by Stellantis/RAM. I was wrong. My local RAM dealer service department (Mac Haik RAM, 12111 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079) informed me today, a week after the vehicle was dropped off, that they are not able to complete the recall because parts are in backorder. In fact, Stellantis could not provide an ETA for the parts to complete this 3 year old recall. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I am reporting a defective tone wheel on my 2015 RAM 1500 Pickup equipped with a 3.0L engine ("RAM") while accelerating into congested rush hour Interstate traffic. The RAM experienced an unexpected significant loss of power due to loss of crankshaft position. Subsequent inspection by the Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership confirmed that the RAM suffered a loss of crankshaft position due to a missing section of the magnetic material attached to the tone wheel and that as many as 14 cracks in the magnetic material are visible. For an undisclosed reason, FCA US did not include the RAM in Important Safety Recall W68/NHTSA 20V-475 (replacement of defective tone wheel) but rather kicked the can down the road and reprogrammed the software in the Powertrain Control Module under Safety Recall W58/NHTSA 20V-475. Based on material evidence of the failed tone wheel, it is clear that the RAM should have been included in the tone wheel replacement recall. FCA US refuses to cover the replacement of the defective tone wheel under Recall W68/NHTSA 20V-475 and extend the tone wheel warranty under FCA US Extended Warranty Letter X94. I am hopeful that NHTSA will compel FCA US aka Stellantis to include the vehicle(s) excluded from Recall W68/NHTSA 20V-475 and reimburse the owner(s) the cost(s) associated with the replacement of the defective tone wheel under Letter X94.
Tone wheel delaminating while driving. I was passing a vehicle in a passing zone and the truck lost power. Safety was definitely put at risk luckily there was no one in the on coming lane. Problem was confirmed by independent shop. Has an appt with manufacturer March 10th 2025. No prior warning lamps or other symptoms. I know there was recall about this certain issue, but the recall only changed the computer software, and didn’t actually fix the defective part.
Received Service ABS System/Service Electronic Braking System indication on HUDS. Brake System OBD-II Reader shows ABS Module Failure. Consulted local dealership and pre-purchased the replacement part in Nov 2024. To date (Feb 19th, 2025) the parts expected delivery date has been moved out one month at a time for the last 4 months. This part failure causes the braking system to operate in a conventional manner, meaning that when the brakes are applied, they actuate at all 4 wheels simultaneously. This results in loss of handling in wet conditions. Several instances I have had to apply the brakes in an emergency during wet road conditions and narrowly escaped collision with other motor vehicles. Additionally, Louisiana state inspection requirements state that the vehicle MUST pass safety inspection to be allowed on the road. With this failure of a critical safety system, I have been unable to operate my vehicle safely and legally on Louisiana roadways.
Warning light on dash said abs needs service. it is available for inspection. antilock brake system inoperative. problem has been confirmed by dealer. dealer states the parts are on back order and dont know when parts will be available.
1. The ABS brake module has failed. We have gone into the dealership twice over the past year and a half and they have said they will order the parts and call us back and we have never received a call. When I called to try to get it resolved the parts department at the dealership says there is an Engineering hold note on the parts that has been there for over a year with no other details. This part is on recall for Dodge Rams from 2017-2024, but not for 2015 makes. 2. Our safety is put at risk as there is no functioning ABS break system when driving on the highway. 3. The problem has been confirmed by our local Dodge dealership and several 3rd party mechanics (Brakes Plus and an independent mechanic). 4. The ABS warning lights and brake lights are always on and will not shut off as a result.
I was driving to work one morning and my power steering just stopped working and the service power steering light lite up and luckily I was about to pass a gas station so I had to slow way down to turn the steering wheel to get into the lot I pulled to the gas pump to get fuel and shut the truck off and was hoping it would reset which it did but now when the truck is setting still running you can't turn the steering wheel unless you give it gas and start moving and it'll start working again.
My truck has internal ABS failure. 2015 Ram 1500. With the malfunction I lose power brakes, cruise control, traction control and all other ABS functions. There is a recall for other year trucks but not 2015 and they have the same exact issue. All of those lights light up on the dash upon start up.
On [XXX], I was driving my 2015 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel in [XXX] when all of the sudden it will not accelerate and a check engine lamp illuminated. It was a near-miss to getting into an accident because the truck drastically slowed-down and wouldn't continue to accelerate. Due to the urgency of the situation, I was prompted to bring the truck over to the nearest Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM dealership in Ontario. Scan diagnostics was initially performed and P0336 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Performance was detected. CDJR Dealership in Ontario further found out delamination and broken pieces on crankshaft tone wheel but only have addressed the recall pertaining to fuel pump (Recall No. 22V406000). The truck would exhibit prolong cranking followed by a "Service Electronic Throttle Control" warning sign that pops-up in the dashboard every time an attempt to start the engine will be made. This have been duplicated when at the dealership and multiple times after [XXX]. I have later found out that there was a prior recall associated with Loss of Crankshaft Position (Recall No.W58) that was launched back in August 20, 2020, however, the corrective measure didn't include parts replacement but only reprogramming. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have: Service Recall W58/NHTSA 20V-475 that have been APPLIED (launched in March 20th, 2020; Repaired in March 13th, 2021 - reprogramming), and also Service Recall 66A / NHTSA 23V-411 that the dealership is NOT WANTING TO APPLY or COVER (launched in June 7th,
The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 40 MPH, the vehicle started to stall and started running rough. The contact's wife turned off the vehicle; however, while attempting to restart the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with crankcase position sensor failure. The contact and the independent mechanic believed that the failure was connected to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V475000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). The contact stated that the vehicle had previously been repaired under the recall. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired because the vehicle was no longer under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.
Engine coolant leak at the back of the engine, coming from the turbo coolant hose. My truck is in the year range for the recall, and is leaking bad. Recall said could cause fires.
I’ve had a complete loss of steering control while driving on highway coming home from work last night. There was no warning it just failed. I was able to manhandle the truck on the highway and limp home. My first thought I had my power steering pump fail but when I couldn’t find a pump on my engine I google search the problem and found out that this is a known issue but my truck was not included in the recall issued back in 2016.. I was completely unaware my 2015 Ram 1500 had this issue until it failed last night on me. I’m afraid to take to the dealer because I’m sure this will be a large repair bill. I wish they would include my vehicle in the recall!!
The ABS light came on and we were told we’d have to replace that part and learned there was a recall so the part is on back order. Although the year of our truck is 2015 I believe this relates to the recall for the other ram trucks considering it’s the same problem.
The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS, Traction Control, and Emergency Brake Warning lights illuminated. Rapid deceleration while at highway speeds
The check engine light has been on and the code and a message of fuel sender unit failure is on the message being displayed. The vehicle always shows empty even when filled. I never know if the the car is going to run out of fuel while I'm diving it on the road or highway. I have to keep very good records to estimate how many miles I'll get before needing to refill. I've seen recalls from other car makers for the same problem.
In August of 2024 I began receiving an error message in my vehicle stating "Service Electronic Breaking System" on the gauge cluster. I also noticed the dash lights indicating that the ABS and traction control were disabled. The vehicle remained in this state whenever the vehicle was running. While i was returning home from work i hit the breaks on the freeway and the breaks locked up and i began to slide due to the ABS not functioning properly. Thankfully there was no accident but obviously this is extremely unsafe and the vehicle cannot be driven in this condition. I made an appointment on August 26,2024 to have the vehicle inspected and serviced at the dealership where i purchased the vehicle. After some correspondence the service rep indicated that there were other vehicles in for service for the same issue. It is now 28 Jan 2025 as of the date of this submission and my vehicle has still been able to be repaired. After numerous inquires with the service department i was informed that the module in question was under Engineer Review at the manufacturer and they could not ship the part until that was complete. The ETA of completion has been pushed back several times ,everytime i enquire for an update and is currently projected at 19 February, I have also opened an inquiry with the manufacturer Ram Customer Care / Stellantis case for assistance and havent received much in the way of additional information or assistance.
While driving my truck with randomly loose power steering and this happens at all speeds. It will also make my dashboard go crazy move my dashboard measurement alol over the place like a haunted clock. It will also give me more messages such as service power steering, electronic throttle control, service shifter, service transmission, service airbags. This will then cause my car to not shift up or down a gear while driving. This will happen and then if I unplug my battery for 10 minutes or so it goes away and then will randomly come back same day or the next day. My power steering will go out whether I’m parked going 10 miles an hour or if I’m going 75 miles an hour which is a gigantic safety issue. My steering wheel will randomly lock up and my car with then to move left and right as it locks up. In addition the check engine will either light up or not light up and then will disappear. I did take my truck back to the dealership to where I purchased it and was not able to solve the issue they attempted to fix it for a total of 36 days two times of which they “fixed” it but then I’d be driving on the highway and it would be doing it all over again. This has been going on since October 21 2024 and is not safe to drive but don’t have a choice as it is my only means of transportation so I try to manage it the best I can. I see multiple posts online about the same thing I believe there needs to be a safety recall on this regarding the entire wiring system, the electronic power ste
Instrument cluster goes black. I have noticed a lot of people complaining about the same issue
The truck has 59,005 miles on it. Driving down the road the following alerts displayed: Service Antilock Brake System Service Electronic Brake System Service Trailer Brake System The truck is available for inspect. There were no symptoms prior to this event but has continually displays these warnings since the first time of displaying in October 2024. I have another car so I parked the truck and start it periodically but do not drive it. I was near home and able to drive there without incident. When I start the truck it immediately display the warnings. I am hesitant to drive it to an independent service center cause I don't know if the brake system will completely fail. In researching the warnings I found this to be a common issue with these trucks and found an NTSA recall for the same warnings for the truck but for different years.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
