Tire size is 275/60R20 115T AT+. Regarding the set of tires purchased from Sam’s Club via Pirelli, all 4 tires are dry rotted along the bead of each individual tire. The tires do not maintain pressure and the pressure drops significantly lower than the recommended PSI regarding environmental changes and ambient temperature in different regions. The manufacturer workmanship of the tire causes deflation in the tires which leads to different tread wear on the tires. I’ve contacted the manufacturer regarding the issue and they have not provided guidance to the merchant as a vendor to replace tires at no cost to the consumer submitting this report. I’m reporting this issue because Pirelli is not upholding their warranty in it’s entirety.

I was driving on a busy congested road. I was traveling 55 mph. As I was driving, a warning light came on to service the power steering (this had not happened previously and I had no warning). I realized then that my steering wheel had seized and became immobile. Using tremendous force I was able to get the truck through traffic and to the side of the road. I was unable to control the truck normally. I had to navigate across two other lanes of traffic to get the truck to a safe position. It required a great deal of strength on the steering wheel to move the truck at all. Fortunately the road I was on was straight. If there had been any curve I would have definitely been in an accident and could have seriously injured myself or others. This car has been looked at by an independent mechanic and the problem verified. He has advised that there is no manufacturer part or aftermarket part available for this issue. Additionally the manufacturer has advised there is no fix. This car is currently not driveable and in my driveway available for inspection.

Check engine light came on after replacing spark plugs and coil packs. Code reads cylinder 03 misfire. Engine has a ticking noise. Cam and lifters are what's causing the check engine light. If not replaced with the upgraded cam and lifters, engine will be no good. Would be very unsafe if my engine were to blow up while driving on the freeway or around town with my children. Dodge knows these cams and lifters are junk and should replace them with the upgraded ones

While driving I heard a sound under the truck. When I pulled over I looked under the truck and noted that one of the straps that holds the gas tank up had come loose. Further inspection noted that the strap had not broken, the part where it connected to the frame had rusted out and let the strap loose. When I looked into it I found out there was a safety recall for the same issue in prior model years. I had this repaired at Waldorf Dodge and they did not cover it under the previous recall. Please look into whether there have been other reports of the same issue for later model years than the recall covers.

I have a failure of the ABS pump and eletrical actuator. I took it to my dealer for an estimate for repair. The dealer told me it was not on the recall list for repair. I was told they could not get a new replacement and want to replace the parts with used parts from the junk yard. I was told that the cost would be $950.00 including the scan but there is no guarantee. Why is this safety issue not covered by a recall? The blog pages for dodge ram are full of people complaining about the failure.

My vehicle VIN [XXX] shown "no unprepared recalls". However I saw that there was a past recall for this vehicle. The recall dealt with the digital instrument cluster which gives data on engine management, safety features such as ABS systems, and other safety items. I do not believe my vehicle had ever been repaired. My digital instrument system flashes on and off and many times, as all day today, was completely inoperable. This has been occurring for approx one year and the dealer told me that this was normal, which it is absolutely not. The dealerships around here have a habit of falsely signing off on repairs and recalls especially if the vehicle hit their lot with a recall during a trade-in. The new buyer would have no idea of such recall. Please assist me in getting this unprepared recall repaired. I would also like to address the faulty 8 speed transmissions which shudder and shift unnecessarily. This could cause a sudden loss power on acceleration in heavy high speed traffic and merging onto an interstate. Please look into this. Intermittent power steering failure. So far i get a warning of failure on vehicle start up and its very obviously a problem as the steering wheel is extremely difficult to move. The trouble code is not one that is saved, so diagnostics are problematic. I myself have not had a failure on the road, but i know its happened. FCA is aware of this potentially very dangerous problem and issued a recall VB9 but excluded a great number of vehicles. I cannot trust this truck any longer and hope To get the recall expanded. It should not be difficult to imagine the potential for catastrophe here.

While driving on the highway my air suspension fails dropping my front end all the way to the frame stops causing speed wobble and an almost loss of control. After replacing a fuse dude to the compressor failing The very next day the right rear dropped while driving causing unsafe driving conditions. This is the third time in 6mo that this has happened with my truck. My truck is welcome to be inspected anytime. My safety, my kid’s safety, and other on the road are in danger if this happens and I lose control. There was no warning besides a service air suspension immediately notification on my dash as it was happening. There are thousands of reports of this being an issue in 2014-2019 ram trucks with air suspension. The dealer and manufacturer have been no help and I’ve been told by the dealer even after fixing it it will fail again in cold weather. This needs to be addressed NOW this is crazy this has not been corrected by Dodge.

The ac/heating system is stuck on the cabin air setting. I have no defrost ability. When the defrost button is activated the air continues to flow into the cabin and not towards the windshield. I live in Colorado with harsh winters. Not being able to defrost my windshield during the winter time is a huge safety issue if my window fogs up while driving and I cannot clear it. Also if there is condensation that freezes on the outside of my windshield I have no ability to melt it while driving. Huge safety issue. My local mechanic said this is a blendoor/actuator problem and will require a service of approximately 1,000$. There was and is currently no warning signal about the problem.

Driving on down the roadway and went over a small pothole at approximately 35mph. Heard a loud bang underneath the vehicle. After parking the vehicle, I saw the front of the fuel tank was hanging close to the roadway. I found that the fuel tank strap had pulled out from the frame where it was seated. I researched the issue and saw a recall for 2009-2012 Dodge Ram pickups for the same reason (Safety Recall U04 / NHTSA 18V-160 Frame Bracket). It does not seem Ram/Dodge addressed this issue on the 2014 Dodge Ram. If I had not stopped my full 32 gallon fuel tank would have contacted the ground spilling fuel and possibly catching fire. This is very concerning consider this vehicle is a daily driver for me and my family (wife and four children). I believe this is an issue that also needs to be recalled considering it was done for the 2012 Rams already.

Extreme vibration coming from the passenger right side. The half shaft for the 4 wheel drive is loose on the shaft from the differential. The only way to repair this is to take your differential apart, replace the inner shafts and replace the cv shaft / half shaft. Vehicle can not be driven from 65-80 miles an hour comfortably. This is such a common issue that some companies have come up with design solutions, however the repair is temporary at best as it will happen again since there is no way to prevent dirt from getting in between the shaft of the differential and the cv shaft

For numerous years my 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie with 4 wheel air suspension has been failing. 1: When it fails it mostly drops the complete left side and the steering wheel is off center to the right approximately a 1/4 turn and alters the steering behavior pulling the truck to the right while driving. This alters the alignment of the truck. 2: The truck also at times drops all of the air out of the system and the truck is riding on its jounce bumpers / suspension stops making it very dangerous to drive. When operating on the roadways with bumps or pulling into parking lots the read of the truck can launch into the air and a hard jarring is felt throughout the truck, and is dangerous to drive on slippery surfaces such as snow/ice covered roadways when the system fails. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer numerous times and Stellantis ( FCA ) has previously sent a representative up only to suggest a new compressor ( Its had 3 now ) which was replaced in the last few months and now the system has failed again. Vehicle has been inspected by a stellantis service service representitive in the early summer of 2022. This is the second time I've reported still no recall. These 5.7 are dangerous, with virtually no miles on them, the camshafts can have a lobe warn down, from oiling issued and the faulty MDS systems in these trucks. Mine stalled in the middle of a intersection with my wife and kids, these engines are unsafe and need to seriously be reevaluated. Also the timing chain guides prematurely wear out, causing excess play in the chain and can jump time and severely loose power or even stall out completely. Recall these engines, or I will make it public via YouTube, and facebook.

I was driving my truck, on a highway, with 4 kids in it when I heard a horrible grinding noise. I stopped and looked under the truck and found that the fuel tank was hanging by 1 strap. I would imagine that if I drove further or hit a bump, the truck would've exploded. The bracket that holds the strap was completely rusted so the strap let go. I did some research online and found that this is a common problem with these trucks. How can there not be a recall??? Luckily I had some racket straps and I crawled under the truck, on the highway, jacked up the tank and strapped it in. I was horrified. I keep my truck in almost pristine condition and with my research, I found out that there were no drain holes installed on the strap mounts which would cause them to prematurely rust. This must be fixed immediately to prevent fatalities.

I have attempted to buy a new one, but there are none. I called dealerships around the United States, and many have some in stock but can't sell them (won't sell them). And if I try and order from a local dealership, the part has a 6-month lead time. I have asked why the has not been a recall and I have been told it's not a safety issue and that traction control is a nice to have option. While looking at a new dodge Ram, I noticed that traction control and antilock brakes are listed under SAFETY (please see attached). If this is a SAFETY issue, why hasn't there been a RECALL issued?

When driving the Power Steering Failure warning comes on and you have to fight the wheel to steer the truck. Sometimes you can turn the vehicle off and then start it again and the warning will go off and steering is back to normal. Unpredictable as to when it is going to happen. Happened 4 times and ended up having it towed to the dealership for diagnostics. I called FCA on 8-18-2022 and they said there was a recall on 2013-2019 Ram 1500 trucks (Recall VB9) but that my vehicle was not identified as being a part of that recall. Luckily I was able to stop vehicle before an accident happened and before anyone was hurt.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
