Defect. ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES, THE CHASSIS FUEL RETURN LINE, WHICH IS TAPPED TO SUPPLY FUEL TO THE GENERATOR, HAS BEEN FOUND TO HAVE PRESSURES THAT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM ALLOWED BY THE GENERATOR MANUFACTURER. AS A RESULT, IF THE GENERATOR IS OPERATED AT THE SAME TIME THE CHASSIS ENGINE IS RUNNING, EXCESS FUEL COULD BE DELIVERED TO THE GENERATOR, CREATING A POTENTIAL FOR A GENERATOR STALL AND POSSIBLE FUEL SPILL.

Risk. IN THE EVENT OF A FUEL SPILL, A FIRE COULD OCCUR.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL INSTALL AN APPROVED KIT THAT DRAWS THE GENERATOR FUEL SUPPLY DIRECTLY FROM THE FUEL TANK. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MAY 5, 2003. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT R-VISION AT 1-574-268-2111.

DT: 2003 CONDOR MOTOR HOME MADE BY R VISION. THE CONSUMER WAS EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE WINDSHIELD COMING OUT. THE PASSENGER SIDE CAME OUT FIRST. IT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY THEREFORE REPAIRED. THE DRIVER'S SIDE FELL OUT BUT IT WASN'T UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONSUMER HAD IT REPAIRED AT THE COST OF $125.00. ONE WEEK AGO BOTH SIDES FELL OUT TO THE OUTSIDE BUT DID NOT HIT THE GROUND. THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO TIE THE WINDSHIELDS UP UNTIL HE COULD GET HOME TO HAVE THEM REPAIRED. THE CONSUMER TALKED TO THE MANUFACTURE AND THEY SAID THEY WERE NOT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS, BUT TALKED TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY REPLACED 5 WINDSHIELDS IN ONE MOTOR HOME, AND ONE IN ANOTHER MOTOR HOME. THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO RECALLS. *JB *NM

Reading this record

No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.

Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.

Recall repairs are free for as long as the recall stands. Check whether a specific car still has open work at NHTSA's VIN lookup.

Most recent recall on file: May 8, 2003. Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation.
