The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front driver’s and passenger’s side seat belts became inoperable. The contact stated that the seat belts failed to function properly and failed to latch properly. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 123,000.

The dealer sold me a car with tampered mileage (106056 miles). When I found out, he took away the title document and refused to return the money. He implied me to sign the sales slip or I would lose both the money and the car. After I signed, he was worried that I would report him, so he took away the REG262 document with his signature and false mileage. He also took advantage of the opportunity that I left the car in his shop to change the tampered mileage back to the original real 225438 miles.and On October 23,2024, I asked him to refund me, he replied "Hey asshole no one can play with odometer " On November 20,2024, when he got the summons,he replied "Thats not true You try to change the mileage I will sue you " But in the court, he said the mileage 106056 was taken on 10/19/2024 of the dashboard is trip mileage. So I can't register it and can't use the vehicle at all

Airbag warning light for front passenger seat on permenently.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and occasionally while the vehicle was idling, the door locks would lock and unlock independently. The contact stated that all four doors were making a vibrating sound while driving. While driving at approximately 50 MPH, the driver’s side rear door was able to be opened while the door was locked. The contact had to pull over to close the door. The message indicating that the trunk was ajar was displayed even though the trunk was closed and securely locked. The dealer had been informed of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 117,456.

There is standing water on the driver’s side floorboard and a sloshing noise can be heard while driving. This appears to match conditions described in a Technical Service Bulletin (reference: NTB14-105a). The issue is especially bad in rainy conditions and the accumulation of moisture causes condensation on the inside of the windshield and windows making it difficult to clear off to see while driving. Additionally due to the large amount of water, mold is starting to grow on the interior upholstery. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer who confirmed the issue although they declined to cover the cost of the repair as there are currently no active recalls related to this issue. They further claim that NTB14-105a does not apply to this vehicle.

Power shifter locks in park when trying to change it to drive or reverse . I found a recall campaign bulletin for shift selector knob for January 2, 2016 . I took my vehicle to a Nissan dealer and I was told they could not honor it . I would have to pay . Reference for recall is NTB16-004 .

The heat in my 2015 Nissan Rogue stopped working last winter. This prevented me from being able to defrost the windshield while driving in the middle of winter! The problem is a faulty blend door on the HVAC box. The actuator motor is made of hard plastic, but the blend door is made from soft plastic. This causes the spline in the blend door to strip out and crack and no longer actuate to allow hot air to enter the cabin. I have pictures of the stripped out spline. The problem has not been reproduced by a dealer or independent service center, but my research online has shown that there are many other Nissan rogue owners who have experienced similar issue, at very low mileages. There were no warning lamps or messages of the problem before it began. There was one symptom, the car had problems heating before it stopped operating completely. The soft plastic spline is probably a $5 part, but it is part of the HVAC box, which is a $2700 part (and probably a 10+ hour labor job as the whole dash has to come out.) This is very poor design. I am unsure what they thought would happen when hard plastic is applying torsional force to soft plastic.

While driving the vehicle a burning smell became present. I pulled over into the nearest parking lot. Smoke started to come out of the engine compartment and increased over a short period of time. Fire flames came through the hood of the car. I called 911 and the fire department had to put out the flames. The car got towed and is sitting in a tow yard pending an insurance inspection. My safety was at risk because the car was engulfed in flames. Not sure if this problem has been reproduced, but I have seen reports of similar Nissan vehicles catching on fire in a similar manner. There were no warning signs that there was an issue with the car and I kept the maintenance of the car up to date. Dashcam installed in car captured me pulling over, the car begin to smoke and flames coming up from the hood.

I got into a car accident where the airbags didn't go off. I have the airbag light now on in the car and the diagnostics is something with the transmission.

The system failure that I keep experiencing is regarding the ignition. When I turn my car off and try to lock the ignition, my key gets stuck and will not release. I have to turn the car back on and off a few times for it to finally release. No warning messages appear and it happened out of nowhere. I thought it might be the key itself, but I do not think that is the problem. I used my addition key fob that I never use to see if the same problem would occur and it did.

Contacted Nissan in Jan of 2024 for recall repair. It is now August 2024 with zero resolution and Nissan Corporate has stopped following up despite multiple attempts for repair.

Cvt transmission slips and will not move the vehicle when it is hot or in stop and go traffic.

The transmission gave out while in the middle of driving on I-4. The safety of the driver and everyone in the highway was put at risk since the car stopped running out of nowhere in a high traffic area. The vehicle has been inspected by a mechanic. A warning symbol popped up as soon as it happened. It says chassis control system error.

The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who reattached the buckle to the floor anchor. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 133,043.

The transmission went out on a busy highway.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle shook momentarily and then stalled. Additionally, the contact stated that two messages were displayed “Warning – Malfunction” and a “Warning - Chassis System Control Error”. The vehicle was able to restart after several attempts and depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, after restarting the vehicle and driving below 20 MPH, the vehicle began shaking and lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the same parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the ABS, wheel bearing, mass air flow sensor, and sway bar links needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

The airbag sensor warning light remains constantly on once the car has been started. Yes the vehicle is available for inspection. I have taken it to the local dealership for repair and after 2 different visits have told me that they don't know exactly what is wrong and that I need to come back and pay another $1600 after the original $600 I already spent to have 2 different parts replaced and they will next replace two others and hope it solves the problem. I do not know if my car is safe and if my airbags will deploy when appropriate and not when it is not appropriate. The main problem is that they don't know why the sensor is constantly on and just keep "Trying" to replace things and hope it is fixed. I do not feel comfortable with hoping they are right when they can't tell me what is wrong. There has been no issues yet but not having your airbag sensor work properly is a significant problem. No police or other agency has looked at the car only the local dealership. I have contacted Nissan but they have not given me any answers except that they have noted my concerns and within my case. They need to be able to tell me if my vehicle is 100% safe to drive. If they can accurately diagnosis the cause, I don't feel they can assure me that everything is okay and safe. My second visit there (6/24/2024) They have replaced the drivers door satelite sensor and found DTC to still be present and will not clear. Now they recommend replacing drivers door harness and airbag control unit.

I have 2015 Nissan Rouge Select for almost 9 year and I haven’t get in any accident with this car . But my air bag light keep turn off twice within a year . Last year it happened on driver side , I replaced it at dealership and the same issue happened just 10 months later . The passenger air bag is off this time . But the dealership said the reason that I can’t accept it. First the mechanic guy told me that the car is old and the way how we drive with the shaking on the road affect airbag wire and sensor . That’s unacceptable because we have an older car than this 2015 Nissan but it never have air bag problem . While we talk with their supervisor to see if there is any recall we miss and what cause the airbag keep going off , he said one thing made me could not believe that the manufacturer would not test the air bag before selling . Is it mean that i bought this Nissan car and I put my self and my family safety under risk while we are on the road ? …...and recently the car transmission failed….

The accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a failed torque converter. The contact was informed that the torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Car stalled and Shuddering while driving on the freeway, sudden loss of power. Engine started to heat and smoke. Issue was probably the defective CVT transmission as noted in most Nissan.

The AC does not work intermittently. When the AC is on, it will blow cold air and then all of a sudden, warm air comes out. Then it may work again and then it will blow warm air. This is a safety concern in Texas when the temperature is very hot outside. This has happened ever since I bought the car in 2015.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 5-10 MPH on a flat road surface, the contact noticed an abnormal shift in the rear suspension. The contact parked the vehicle. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the passenger's side rear wheel had shifted inward. The contact turned on the hazard lights and drove to the nearest dealer at slow speeds. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the passenger's side rear lower control arm was severely rusted and bent, causing the rear passenger's side wheel to shift inward. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

Airbag warning light suddenly started flashing(on/off) constantly, regardless if anyone or any item is in passenger seat. After attempting to reset to no avail, taken to dealer for inspection. Dealer listed code b00a0-02(Occupant Sensor). Dealer stated only fix is to replace entire seat frame as the sensor is built into seat frame. Dealer stated failure to replace can cause airbag to activate inadvertently, or not activate when in a crash. The vehicle has never been involved in a crash.

This vehicle will fail to accelerate after stopping at stop sign/ red light or in stop/ go traffic. if i hit the gas pedal it won't actually move for seconds and then it will jolt forward. This becomes very dangerous and scary when pulling out onto busy roads. The RPM will start going up while driving for no reason and the car is not actually accelerating. this will happen while driving down the road randomly and the only thing i can do is pull over and shut car off for a minute. i have brough to dealership (a few years ago but they cannot recreate it so i have no options) this has been happening for several years at all different times and always randomly

The harness that controls the lift gate is malfunctioning. It’s an issue from the previous recall that has reproduced results. The only way to fix it is to disconnect and connect the safety pins by the foot panel on the drivers side door. Over time it has progressively gotten worse to the point that anytime it opens, it’ll need to be disconnected and then connected before the next time you use it. Also one time it stopped working when the lift gate was open and would not let you close the lift gate.

There is water leak on Driver side floor and is covered under Nissan Service Bulletin NTB14-105a. The carpet is wet on the driver and/or front passenger floor and the source of the wetness is not caused by the air conditioning system.

I was traveling east bound and trash collection truck was parked on the shoulder facing east. I could not see the truck because of the position of the sun, and when I did see the parked trash truck, I swerved to miss it but struck the left rear of the parked trash truck with the right front of my vehicle going 35mph. Air bags did not deploy nor did the seat belt lock. I was tranferred to the hospital and sustained 4 broken ribs and an abrasion on my right elbow. Police department and EMS did see that air bags did not deploy. Police report shows code for the air bag and seat belt malfunctions. No warning messages etc of any kind showed up.

Our car has experienced multiple incidents of the interior becoming drenched with water. From thew sunroof, the sides of the vehicle, the floorboards, back AND front. We bring it in to be repaired but then another leak occurs. I am worried about water coming into contact with the many electrical parts of the car that help it operate especially since so much wetness occurs near the front half of the vehicle, near the controls. This last incident, we reached out to Nissan's corporate office and they would not cover the cost of repairs. We are nervous about what might happen and ethically don't feel we can sell the car in this condition.

There is a recall for the airbag light coming on the dashboard. Took the car to the dealership to get the car looked at, was informed their is a recall for the airbag light. Was told it was fixed, a week later the light came back on. Went back to dealership, this time they said it would need a new driver side seat and electrical panel replaced to be repaired correctly and to know 100 % the driver side airbag works correctly. Nissan won't cover it because those aren't the current parts to fix it. I don't understand, the dealership tried twice to fix the problem with the standard parts that are allotted in the recall and it didn't work, now it needs to be fixed properly. I have a Nissan with a safety recall issue that Nissan refuses to cover the cost to fix it. It is very unsafe, dangerous and life threatening to have a vehicle with no working driver side airbag. We bought this car for our 16 year old son, only to have a severe safety violation in the car that won't get fix properly by the manufacturer. What if he is in a front on collision and the airbag doesn't work? Heaven forbid he get critically injured or even die from it. What does it take for Nissan to do the right thing and properly fix the recall. In the meantime our son isn't allowed to drive his new car much and not far from the house. How would they feel if it were their teenager in a car with no driver side airbag and the company with a recall refused to fix it correctly. I guess our son's life doesn't matter to a

Hello, I bought my Nissan Rogue in 2015 and I’m the original owner. I had parked my car at Lowe’s and upon returning from store, my dashboard showed the Air bag alert sign that didn’t go away and remains turned ON my driver-side dashboard. I wasn’t in an accident or didn’t have other issues, and car was simply just parked when alert popped up and remained ON. VIN# [XXX] . The CVT malfunctions after about an hour of driving. There is a failure of power transfer to the drive wheels. The engine rpms increase but there is no forward motion resulting in the vehicle being stranded in traffic. I spoke to the nearest Nissan dealer which is one hour from my home in Mountain Home, AR and was told that this is a known problem and is an indication of imminent CVT failure.

Nissan blend door is stripped or cracked so there is no heat. Took to garage and they tried gluing but failed after short period. Causes fogged windows and dangerous driving conditions in cold weather.

Our 2015 Nissan rogue will occasionally not accelerate when driving, which can be extremely dangerous. I am not a mechanic, but I believe the transmission is faulty, the vehicle only has 59,000 miles on it! Also, tried driving the vehicle yesterday and it starts up fine, but it will not move foward or backward! Please help us with this issue! Thank you

My heater was broken, and taken to 3 different mechanics who could not find the problem without dismantling the dashboard.. While waiting for the dealer to take my car in, my windshield froze and I could not see while driving. I needed to repeatedly pull over and manually wipe it clear. The dealer now says that it is a problem with an interior part stripping that controls the heat and has occurred on other cars of the same make and model. There should be a national recall and the cost of repairs should fall on the manufacturer.

As I was driving yesterday (1/12/24) on a busy highway and my sunroof shattered suddenly. It startled me and I had no idea what occurred. I heard a very loud pop and what sounded like rocks hitting my vehicle. I inspected my car and couldn’t find the source thinking it may have been a tire etc but no lights came on. Everytime I drove I heard “pebbles” move but could not find the source. This morning I noticed a piece of glass on my windshield which caused me to inspect my vehicle and to my surprise the sunroof had a hole in it! I’ve reported my sunroof leaking since I purchased the truck in 2018. The dealership claimed to fix the sunroof but would not replace it. The leaking stopped for around 2-3 months and began again. I was told this was not covered under warranty and that I’d have to pay out of pocket for it. I did not think this was fair because I purchased the vehicle when the issue was present. I was subsequently never made aware that there were any defects or complaints about sunroof problems or the occurrences of exploding sunroofs in the make and model I have.

I was driving on freeway with cruise control on and noticed a couple of 'slips' in the transmission that made the car slow down and 'jerk'. Thinking it might have been a bit of bad gas, I kept driving for about 20 minutes. At one point the car seemed to slip into neutral and the tachometer revved up to about 8000 RPM even though the car was still in drive. I pulled over on the off-ramp and then I lost all ability to move using any gear. I did not see any warning lights. The car is at a shop now to diagnose. Had this happened while on the freeway, who knows what might have happened.

My wife and I were returning from a Thanksgiving trip to relatives in Virginia southbound on I 95 She was driving and we both felt the car shudder as we began to lose speed. There was no acceleration even though the Tachometer was in a high range. We limped into a Rest Area ,shut down the car and called a tow service. We were towed to Deacon Jones Nissan in Golsboro, N.C. where we were told we needed a new transmission. The Service Manager told us this CVT transmission is supposed to be serviced every 30 K miles .We were at 87734. There was never a dashboard warning light to that effect nor any notice from Nissan. Our expenses were: Transmission=$6619.34; Towing=$155; 2 nights at hotel=$201.38

Heating system blows cold air on drivers side. Vehicle taken to mechanic system flushed and blend door actuator replaced, problem still persists. The transfer case system failed, and it is available for inspection upon request. My safety and others safety was put at risk because my vehicle malfunctioned. It is difficult to go uphill and it has turned off on multiple occasions. The car is making a rattle/grinding sound. The vehicle has less than 35,000 miles. The problem has been confirmed by mossy Nissan. The vehicle has been inspected by Nissan. The only warning was having to replace my battery twice while i have owned the vehicle, and the rattling noises/difficulty to accelerate. No lamps or messages illuminated. Unknown, car not available for inspection. The car spontaneously caught fire and exploded while it was being driven in a public parking lot. Unknown. There were no warning lamps or indicators the entire duration of the car catching on fire and exploding.

As part of NHTSA Campaign Number 23V093000, Nissan provided an interim remedy by inserting a fastener into the key slot of the jackknife key on July 21, 2023. After this interim remedy, key blade could not be folded back into the key fob. Another notice was received from Nissan recently which stated that they have a permanent remedy for this which is to insert a spacer into the key slot. As with the interim remedy, the permanent remedy will also prevent the key blade from being folded back into the key fob. In addition, the letter from Nissan states that any keys that are not repaired will be deactivated. Carrying a key with an open key blade in the pant pocket is causing skin irritation and there is a possibility of injury as well. If I decide to get the keys repaired as required by Nissan, then it I have to deal with the skin irritation and possibility of injury. If I decide to not get the keys repaired, then Nissan will deactivate my keys effectively locking me out of own car that is fully paid off.

The driver side heat blows cold air and won't defrost properly not to mention I am old and can't survive the winters without heat. I live in upstate NY where we get tons of snow, white out conditions etc etc. Our first snowfall was 11/1/23 yesterday and I was wiping my window because I couldn't see anything and had an emergency that I had to go to and went in the other lane because I couldn't see. Thankfully I realized at the last second by looking out my drivers side window. I looked this up and there was another complaint about the same thing and the reported cost was $3300.00 which I don't have because we live paycheck to paycheck. I love my Nissan Rogue and was going to continue buying Nissan vehicles until this happened and now I'm scared to death to even drive it. I will not purchase another one if this can't be fixed. I will probably end up trading it in. I can't afford to fix it or drive it since I don't want to crash.

The Electronic A/C system for no reason will when I have the blower selected to defrost or head and feet it changes the blower things that control air flow to someplace in between. Nothing blows out if vents but fan is running. Kind of dangerous when you can’t defrost windows. I brought it yo dealer twice and of course it decided to start working again. I noticed that when it does that if i shut car off completely and wait a minute or so it works properly again. It has done this about a dozen times. Its like the airflow for blower heat/defrost goes into a halfway position and then i don’t get any airflow. This first happened in 2015 and is intermittent.

Something to do with Heat - the drivers side heat does not work but the passenger does. This affects the defrosting of the windshield - cannot defrost with cold air in the winter. I have found several discussion boards detailing the same issues with cost to fix is over $3K.

This has been happening for about 2 years now. When I come to stops such as stop signs ,red lights , or intersections when I go to accelerate it has a major delay which has been very scary especially at intersections and sometimes afterwards the rpm shoots up but car is not accelerating. I brought to dealership and they said no codes are coming up so they didn't know. I feel like I could die in this car someday.

There was a voluntary recall of 2014-2016 Rogue rear lift gate stay. The local Nissan dealership and Nissan both noted my 2015 Rogue was not included in the recall even though my rear lift is also broken and manufactured in the same time frame. The rear lift does not stay up making use of the trunk very dangerous. It has the potential to cause a head or other bodily injury. There were and are no warning lights indicating it is broken. The issue first occurred a few weeks ago and I have been trying to get it fixed since. The issue was confirmed yesterday by an independent service center.

Was driving the vehicle and came to a train crossing in our area,put the vehicle in park and waited until train had passed (6 Minutes ?) and after gates went up and placed vehicle in drive again I couldn't get it to move....After waiting and putting it in low position it slowly caught and was able to get vehicle home which is 1.5 miles and have not been able to get it to move in any position. Contacted dealer and was told its a well known issue but Nissan is not covering these bad cvt transmissions and hope you can help!It's a 2015 model with just over 60k
