Defect. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2022-2025 S 500 4MATIC, Maybach S 580 4MATIC, Maybach S 680 4MATIC, S 580 4MATIC, 2023-2025 S 580 E 4MATIC, and 2024-2025 AMG S 63 E Performance vehicles. The front brake hoses may rupture and leak brake fluid.

Risk. A brake fluid leak can extend the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the front brake hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V116. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 9, 2026.

Defect. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2024 GLC 300 4MATIC, and S 580 4MATIC vehicles. The bolts that secure the rear axle differential to the rear axle carrier may come loose, which can result in a separation of the drive shaft from the rear axle differential.

Risk. Driveshaft separation can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will repair the rear axle differential bolt connection as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 10, 2025. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024120005.

Defect. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2023-2024 C300, AMG C43, S580e, S580, Maybach S580, Maybach S680, AMG SL43, AMGSL63, GLC300, EQE350, EQE500, EQS450, EQS580, AMG EQS, 2023 S500, AMG SL55, AMG EQE, 2024 E350, E450, AMG C63e S, CLE300 Coupe, CLE450 Coupe, and GLC300 Coupe vehicles. The 80-Amp fuses may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause the fuses to fail.

Risk. An 80-Amp fuse that fails can result in a sudden loss of drive power or a loss of critical safety functions such as the restraint systems or instrument cluster, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Additionally, there could be an increased risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the main fuse boxes, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 5, 2024. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024030008.

I lease a 2024 Mercedes-Benz S580 4MATIC, currently at 22,527 miles. I have recurring braking and transmission concerns. Before the XXX service visit, I experienced increased brake-pedal travel and pressure needed to slow and stop, compared with earlier in the lease. The recent episode occurred in [XXX], at about 40 mph on a dry road with light traffic. I have experienced braking concerns on highways and local streets, including Indian [XXX], and recall earlier episodes around XXX and XXX. The recent episode involved no crash, injury, fire or police report. A brake-fluid warning appeared once; check-engine lights appeared on other occasions. Mercedes-Benz of Palm Springs opened RO XXXXXX, at 22,067 miles; the vehicle was ready XXX The order records my increased brake-pedal-travel complaint. The technician stated the pending recall could be related, with a remedy expected in one or two months. No brake repair was listed for that concern. The NHTSA VIN lookup refreshed October 28, 2026 lists recall 26V638, manufacturer campaign 2026100002, as incomplete with the remedy not yet available. I am reporting a recurring transmission/drivability issue with my 2024 Mercedes-Benz S580. The vehicle has been experiencing a harsh, abnormal shift between approximately 3rd and 4th gear at around 25–35 mph during normal acceleration. The shift feels like a sudden jerk or hesitation and does not feel consistent with normal operation. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership multiple times for this issue. On a recent visit (February 9, 2026), a drive technician rode along and personally experienced the harsh shifting during a test drive. The dealership later confirmed in writing that the harsh shift was duplicated and documented on the repair order. Despite prior service visits, the problem continues to occur intermittently. It has happened again after the most recent service. In addition to the shifting concern, the vehicle has previously experienced power-related issues and steering/driver-assist warnings. There are not always warning lights before the harsh shift occurs. The vehicle remains available for inspection. Because the shifting happens during normal acceleration at city speeds, it feels unpredictable and concerning from a safety standpoint.

While driving my 2024 Mercedes-Benz S580, I have experienced multiple serious safety issues affecting both the power train and the wheels/tires. 1.Power Train / Transmission Failure: On two separate occasions at freeway speeds, the vehicle suddenly lost all power and came to a complete stop in the middle of the lane. I could not accelerate, steer to safety, or coast to the shoulder. The car was completely unresponsive while traffic was passing at high speed around me. I repeatedly turned the car off and back on, but it would not move for several minutes.
