Defect. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2014-2020 C-Class, CLA, GLA, S-Class, GLC, and GLE vehicles. Please refer to MBUSA's recall report for specific vehicle details. The front roof panel located between the windshield and the panoramic sunroof may not have been bonded correctly to the vehicle during a prior repair, allowing the front panel to detach from the vehicle.

Risk. A detached roof panel can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the front panel, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 2, 2024. Owner notification letters will be mailed in phases, on, March 22,2024, and August 2, 2024. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. Risk. The adhesive bonding of the front panel might deteriorate, possibly causing the front panel to detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Mercedes-Benz dealer will remove the bonded panel and will install a new front panel by following the detailed repair instructions and using the approved primer, cleaner and adhesive, free of charge. The software design of the communication module may fail to communicate the correct vehicle location for the emergency call system (eCall) in the event of a crash.

Risk. Failure of the eCall system may result in emergency responders being dispatched to the wrong location, increasing the risk of injury following a crash.

Remedy. MBUSA will notify owners, and the communication module software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. The recall began March 12, 2021. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-877-762-8267. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2021020025.

(MBUSA) is recalling certain 2013-2017 vehicles due to a software fault that may cause the date and time for the emergency call system (eCall) to differ from the actual date and time, potentially relaying an inaccurate vehicle location. Risk. An inaccurate vehicle location may delay emergency responders, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. MBUSA has initiated an Over the Air (OTA) remote update. Defect. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 and GLC300 4Matic, 2018 GLC350e and GLC63 AMG 4Matic and 2017-2018 GLC43 AMG 4Matic vehicles. The seat belt latch plates (the parts that insert into the buckles) for the outboard rear seats may retract into the interior paneling, preventing the occupants from being able to use the seat belts.

Risk. If the rear seat passengers cannot fasten their seat belts, they have an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy. MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will install felt strips between the C-pillar and rear side paneling, free of charge. The recall began November 2, 2018. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2018100002.

The seat belt latch plates (the parts that insert into the buckles) for the outboard rear seats may retract into the interior paneling, preventing the occupants from being able to use the seat belts.

Defect. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2016-2017 GLC300, GLC300 4MATIC and GLC43 4MATIC vehicles. These vehicles may have misadjusted headlights, possibly resulting in the low beam headlights insufficiently illuminating the roadway. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk. An insufficiently illuminated roadway may increase the risk of a crash.

On XXX, my 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 was serviced at a Mercedes-Benz dealership for a B Service, including replacement of the rear brake pads and sensor. The rear wheel had to be removed to perform this work. On XXX, approximately 7 days later, my wife was driving the vehicle with our [XXX] son and his friend as passengers when the LEFT REAR WHEEL COMPLETELY SEPARATED from the vehicle while in motion on a public road. A truck was approaching from behind. The family narrowly avoided a serious collision. Police responded to the scene and an officer directed traffic while the vehicle was towed. The lug bolts were recovered from the roadway. The dealership's General Manager later asked me to return the lug bolts, which I did. The vehicle required repair of the wheel and hub assembly at a collision center. I was given no written explanation of why the wheel separated. Separately, after the XXX service I noticed a transmission problem that was not present before. On XXX it became dangerous: coming out of stops at traffic lights and stop signs, the transmission would slip into Neutral instead of engaging Drive, and after several attempts would drop directly into third gear with a hard jerk. This creates a serious risk of being unable to accelerate away from a stop in traffic. I documented this on video and provided it to the dealership. No injuries have occurred, but both incidents were near-misses with a high risk of a crash or injury. I am reporting this so the potential defect a

Was driving down the highway a the panel between the windshield and panoramic sunroof detached a flew off. Other models are included in this same recall but my make and model are not

The steering tilt motor is stripped and will not move up or down and is stuck in the full "UP" position. Unable to adjust for the driving position.

SUNROOF will not closed , refuse to close on my car

You would be better off going to Sears and buying a shiny new hammer and banging your head every hour on the hour. A little over a year ago, I Purchase a previously owned 2016 GLC300 from a local DGDG dealership in San Jose CA. for the past few month, I started experiencing a heavy fuel odor generated from the fuel rail and fuel injectors. I initiated a leak detection to verify the above-mentioned defect. I became aware the Mercedes Benz has a major issue with the fuel rail and fuel injectors that caused a safety & emission recall campaign 2022030003 that is launched to replace the fuel rail and fuel injectors on 139 Model Year 2016-2020 that included my car GLC-class vehicle. To my surprise my car VIN number was not listed and flagged in this campaign. According to the campaign issue, a leak may develop between the fuel line and the fuel injectors due to trapped debris from the production process, which could affect the safety and emissions of the vehicle. according to the documents of the campaign, trapped debris might damage the seal between the fuel rail and fuel injectors, which over the life of the vehicle, might result in a fuel leak into the engine compartment. The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the Emissions Center, and the vehicle failed the Emissions test. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The dealer retrieved DTC: P052E (PCM has detected an inappropriate degree of pressure from the crankcase pressure sensor). The vehicle was not repaired. PVC valve indicator engine light keeps appearing after being replaced twice

Check engine light on-pvc failure. Code PO52E-71as determined by reliable repair shop. Recommended to have vehicle repaired by dealer. Shop advised part is vital to emissions system.

When driving the car, the engine began to violently shake and fail. The engine ended up having a piston failure due to a small wrist pin and needed the entire engine block replaced. I was lucky that I was not on the freeway or in a more dangerous spot when the engine failed while driving.

Also with a check engine light the car can't pass safety/emission inspection and is not sellable. I bought a new car, can't sell this car and have 0 visibility on when I can get it fixed to sell it. I own a 2016 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 and I’ve noticed that a strong gas smell when I start the car during cold weather. You notice the smell outside and inside the cabin as well as it comes in through the vents.

According to NHSTA ID 21V197000 bulletin, my 2016 GLC 300 qualifies for recall related to sunroof safety matter. My sunroof is loose and dealer said since your organization didn’t include my VIN for this recall, they will not address it. Can you please add my VIN. I’m experiencing exactly as described in your recall bulletin. Thank you!

The P052E error has popped up which requires the replacement of the PVC assembly. This is a known issue with these engines and causes the engine to run erratically. Mercedes knows that the issue is common. Please investigate and issue a recall if applicable.
