2026 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2027 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid and 2025-2027 Explorer Hybrid vehicles. A software error may prevent the vehicle from making the pedestrian warning sound at certain speeds.

Risk. A vehicle that does not produce a warning sound may fail to alert pedestrians of an approaching vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Note: This is an expansion of Recall 25V691. Any vehicles previously repaired under 25V691 must have the new remedy completed. Ford will release an over-the-air (OTA) update or dealers will update the APIM software, free of charge. Additionally, dealers will replace the digital signal processing module in Nautilus Hybrid vehicles equipped with 28 speakers, free of charge. This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model and model years. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S51. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning July 7, 2026.

Remedy. The audio control module and digital signal processing module software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 5, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25SA2. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 10, 2025.

Right sideview mirror folds and unfolds without warning. On two occasions while driving on the interstate mirror folded on its own. While car was parked and turned off right side mirror folded on its own. My safety was at risk because I couldn't see oncoming cars while trying to get off road to address the problem. Took vehicle to dealer and was told that there wasn't a problem. Has not been reproduced at this time. Vehicle has not been inspected at this time, have appointment to have vehicle checked by dealer although I was already told by dealer that there wasn't a problem. No warning lights.

Since day one from the purchase of this vehicle, I have been experiencing seatbelt issues. This car was purchased for my work. It’s a commercial Livery vehicle, but I am suffering each day with complaints from riders and every time it goes to the dealership I am losing time and income. I have lost my confidence in this car. This car was bought for peace of mind but all I have ever experienced is nuisance, hassle, loss of time, suffering, [XXX] complaints and complete loss of confidence. I did not expect this from a new vehicle. The seat belts constantly twist, fail to retain proper tension/positioning, and rattle heavily against the trim. The authorized Lincoln dealership service department has verbally confirmed to me that this issue cannot be repaired because it is an inherent vehicle design flaw as agreed by service Director Chris Fallon. A permanent design defect in a critical safety restraint system substantially impairs both the safety and the market value of this vehicle, making it completely unfit for purpose. The car has been to the garage 3 times for this issue and still it’s unresolved. The dealership has confirmed it is unrepairable. The contact owns a 2026 Lincoln Nautilus. The contact stated that while the contact's son was driving at an undisclosed speed and making a left, the contact's son was T-Boned by another vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was crashed into the driver's side. The contact stated that both doors on the driver's side were damaged. In addition, the middle of the vehicle on the driver's side was severely damaged. The contact stated the front driver's and rear air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle had not been inspected by the insurance. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was advised to have the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection. The failure mileage was approximately 1,550.
