I am the owner of a 2023 Jeep Wrangler that is currently affected by an active safety recall. I was informed by my dealership that there is no available remedy and that a repair may not be available for approximately two to three months. I am concerned about being expected to continue operating a vehicle that has been identified as having a safety-related defect while no corrective action is available. As a consumer, I believe it is unreasonable to issue a safety recall without providing owners with a timely solution or adequate support during the waiting period. This situation creates additional hardship because I have ongoing medical conditions that require regular healthcare appointments and reliable transportation. I am also planning a long-distance move to access better healthcare services, and I am concerned about the safety and reliability of driving a vehicle that is subject to an unresolved recall. I respectfully request that FCA review this situation and provide guidance regarding owner protections, alternative transportation assistance, reimbursement options, or other accommodations while a repair is unavailable.

Failed Component: Powertrain (PCM/TCM/HCP software calibration) & Electrical/Steering (Fire Recalls). Safety Risk & Description: Following recent mandatory manufacturer software updates, this vehicle has developed a severe, dangerous drivetrain defect. Under light acceleration from a complete stop, the vehicle exhibits an extreme throttle lag and hard delay before violently surging forward, creating a high risk of intersection collisions. Furthermore, at sustained highway speeds (52–63 MPH), the vehicle abruptly drops out of Electric Mode, causing the gas engine to violently spike to 5,000 RPMs before dropping back. This erratic cycling causes the vehicle to lurch, jerk, and pull, actively disrupting lane control. Compounding this, due to consecutive, unresolved fire safety recalls—including Recall 68C (Battery Fires) and the June 2026 Power Steering Pump wiring fire recall—the vehicle cannot be safely parked inside my garage or near structures while turned off. It represents a total loss of normal use and a severe safety liability. Dealer Confirmation & History: The driving defect was formally duplicated and confirmed by a certified technician on 06/09/2026 at Ryan Auto Mall (Repair Order #471599). The technician explicitly documented the electric mode dropouts and acceleration lag in writing. However, because the vehicle’s software masking prevents standard Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from triggering, the dealer closed the ticket stating it is "operating as designed." T

The vehicle has an issue where when it is off and the key is nowhere near it. It turns on and makes strange noises. I have video footage of it that has been sent to the dealership and they were not able to duplicate it after a very short period of time at the dealership I’ve since had the same issue numerous times as well as the battery has since died as well. I’ve had other issues happen where the vehicle has died with no warning, and I lost all power. The vehicle often times overheats where if you touched the vehicle in certain spots, it’s burning hot. The electrical system seems to have faulty in it as things like the temperature are never accurate and seem to have issues with glitching that has not been able to be duplicated although I have video proof of that as well. Considering all of the safety recalls that have never been remedied like the battery fires. There is no actual remedy that’s been done. All they do is scan the batteries currently to see if there are current issues happening, but there have been fires that have happened to people’s vehicle since with all of the issues that I’ve had with my vehicle with it powering on when the keys are nowhere near it. It’s very scary to have a vehicle that can catch fire with all of the electrical issues currently has That have never been corrected.

On two separate occasions, documented with the dealership, while driving, the Jeep failed to accelerate and instead decelerated. On one occasion, this occurred while I was in a single lane on ramp merging onto a highway and reached approximately 45mph. On a separate occasion, I was just pulling out of my subdivision and reaching approximately 30-35 mph when the same issue occurred. Both times, I pulled the vehicle to the side of the road as best as possible, and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle often fails to turn off, as it should. The vehicle has also failed to turn on as it should. The center screen turned off for a full trip. There is only approximately 15k miles on this 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The dealership most recently had the vehicle for 6 days but could not replicate the problem in 30 miles and there were no stored error codes besides two related to the radio generated by the HVAC module and the BCM module. An arbitrator found: Although the Customer had established proof of a nonconformity that could substantially impair the safety of the vehicle, I find that there have not been an unreasonable number of repair attempts nor days out of service. I have received three vehicle recalls warning of vehicle fire that have no known recall repair for months.

My vehicle is subject to open recall #26V-363 for Electric Hydraulic Power Steering. I contacted my local Jeep dealership to schedule the required free recall repair. The dealership refused to accept my vehicle, stating that Stellantis/Jeep has not yet distributed the remedy procedure or parts to their service department. As a result, the recall cannot be performed at this time through any authorized dealership. This situation creates an ongoing safety risk, as the defective steering system remains unrepaired with no available remedy. Additionally, I am suffering direct economic harm — my vehicle is listed on a peer-to-peer car sharing platform which has restricted my listing due to this open recall, and I am losing rental income daily with no recourse. I am requesting that NHTSA follow up with Stellantis to expedite distribution of the recall remedy to authorized dealerships so that affected vehicle owners can fulfill their obligation to have the repair completed.

Stellantis (owner of Jeep) has issued an intent to recall a million or so Wranglers/Gladiators starting next month. They have urged people to park away from structures and other cars. Living in suburban NY, relatively dense by most standards, and working in a place I park my car in a garage, this is near impossible therefore leaving my car a combustion risk, risking the lives and wellbeings of myself, my family, and my neighbors, along with my work associates. While this may work in rural areas such as Peoria, this is not an acceptable solution for NYers such as myself. Furthermore, I purchased the car to be plugged in, and given this news, am urged to relinquish a very expensive feature I paid good money to use.

Shortly after a recall repair was completed, I experienced a sudden loss of motive power while driving approximately 45 mph on a public roadway. At the time of the incident, the vehicle had approximately half a tank of gasoline remaining. I observed the high-voltage battery gauge reach approximately 1% state of charge. Immediately after the battery gauge reached that level, the vehicle suddenly lost power and appeared to stall while in motion. I received no warning before the failure occurred. At the time of the event, a battery system failure warning appeared along with a plug icon on the dashboard. I was forced to pull off the roadway and bring the vehicle to a complete stop. The vehicle had to be placed in Park and restarted before it would operate again. Fortunately, there was a safe area available to pull over. Had this occurred in heavier traffic or where there was no safe shoulder, it could have created a serious safety hazard. I returned the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership retained the vehicle for approximately one week but advised they could not duplicate the failure and could not identify a cause. I was told to keep the vehicle charged. My concern is that the incident occurred immediately after the battery gauge reached approximately 1% state of charge. Based on the timing of the event, I am concerned there may be a problem related to the transition from electric/hybrid operation to gasoline engine operation when the high-voltage battery reaches a very low

I have had multiple issues and repairs completed including two recalls for the battery. Two repairs to the flapper in ac system and damper in front end replaced under 24000 miles. I have had two radios and amp replaced and now need another being it does the same as before and never works when I try to use usb and over heats my phone, which the dealership has been non compliant with warranty being they either state I can’t duplicate or do not produce full history reports. I have had three dealership make repairs in the last 2 years and it is now approaching 36000 and they are aware of the reoccurring issues. I have been instructed not to charge in or near a my home but that is why I bought the hybrid for the electric as well. They keep stating they have no loaners and I would be without my vehicle for over two days just for diagnostics. They have had the jeep in the shop and stated the radio had turned itself on when Jeep was not on. There are definitely many electrical issues connecting these things and it is just being pushed off by Stellantis. My Jeep develops a "death wobble" whenever the vehicle goes over a bridge junction or bump at highway speeds. I have taken it to the dealer on several occasions and they have been unable to pinpoint the issue,. When my husband personally witnessed the problem and went in to complain, the dealer replaced a rear shock absorber, but the problem persists. The Jeep shakes and vibrates violently and uncontrollably and the problem has become more frequent and more violent. I have to come to an almost complete stop to relieve the wobble/vibration, which is very dangerous on a highway! It happened twice today, Saturday, May 23, 2026, on the highway when I went over bridges at 65 - 70 mph. The issues has been persistent since the vehicle reached approx. 5000 miles. I feel unsafe driving my Jeep on the highway. I know that it has been a problem that was covered under an previous agreement/recall for Jeeps through 2020. manufacturing year. However, since my Jeep is a 2023, I do not believe the extended warranty applies to my vehicle. I am a teacher and I can't afford to pay for repairs, which may run thousands of dollars. Also, I feel my vehicle is unsafe to drive on the highway, which precludes me from driving to my job on the highway. Please advise!

The vehicle experienced a sudden, catastrophic, un-commanded emergency braking event while moving in active traffic.Despite the driver's seatbelt being securely buckled, the vehicle overrode its own safety programming, dropping all propulsion, violently engaging the electronic brakes, and forcing the transmission straight into Park at low speeds at an intersection. This occurred immediately after the vehicle received an official factory high-voltage hybrid safety recall remedy last month. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership, where a diagnostic scan logged a false 'Door Ajar / AutoPark' fault code. The safety system critically malfunctioned by ignoring a buckled seatbelt to execute a dangerous emergency stop in traffic. The vehicle is completely unsafe to operate on public roads due to an unpredictable brake and powertrain safety override defect. The manufacturer is currently refusing to provide direct-bill rental assistance while the vehicle sits undiagnosed on the dealer lot.

I began to notice some occasional loss of the steering with violent shakes - the death wobble - and once in the rain down a street with potholes which seemed to agitate the car further. I made an appointment to get the car checked and took it into the dealership. At that time, the tech mentioned that there was a recall out - which I had seen in the mail before - and asked if I wanted to get the update - I said yes. I believe the “Check Engine” was also blinking at that time so I also asked them to check that. After that, the vehicle was in the shop for 2 weeks without a clear diagnosis before the tech reached out and told me the car was “inoperable”. After communicating with the engineers and getting support from management, the car was still inoperable for over 2 months. At that point the tech asked me to contact Chrysler to file a claim to help him make sure it kept moving. (Please note that I found this bizarre and I hope any reasonable person in a similar situation would as well. 😨) A few days later, they told me the car was ready for me to pick up! I do not have a technical background and do not fully understand the issue, but the tech told me there was an issue with the vehicle sensor software which clashed with the recall and caused the vehicle to stop responding. As a fix, they uninstalled the sensor software and then reinstalled it after the recall update. Any future software update may cause the vehicle to crash and considering there is a third recall on this issue

I own a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN: 1C4JJXR66PW627097). The instrument cluster/dashboard intermittently shuts off while driving, resulting in complete loss of speedometer, warning indicators, and critical driver information. This creates a significant safety hazard, as I am unable to monitor vehicle speed or receive warnings while the vehicle is in motion. In January 2026, I took the vehicle to the dealership for this same issue. The instrument cluster was repaired under warranty/customer satisfaction repair. However, the exact same problem has now returned. My vehicle is not currently included in Recall 30B, but the symptoms are consistent with that recall involving instrument cluster failure. I am concerned that this defect may affect additional vehicles not currently covered. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and consider expanding Recall 30B to include vehicles like mine. I have video evidence showing the dashboard shutting off while driving and will provide it as part of this complaint. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ab3NkolHPv66es_vrzSiFKLN83ezv5LC

I am the original owner of a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sport with approximately 16,240 miles. The vehicle is completely unmodified. I am reporting a serious safety defect involving the steering and suspension system. When driving at highway speeds (50 mph and above), the vehicle experiences a violent front‑end oscillation whenever it encounters a bump, uneven pavement, or bridge expansion joints. The steering wheel rapidly shakes left to right, and the entire vehicle shudders for 5 to 10 seconds. The oscillation does not stop until I slow the vehicle down to below 45 mph. This issue is reproducible and occurs frequently on rough or uneven road surfaces at highway speeds. During these events, I temporarily lose the ability to maintain proper steering control, creating a dangerous situation for myself, my passengers, and other drivers. This condition is commonly referred to as “Death Wobble,” and it makes the vehicle unsafe to operate. Given the severity of this defect and the safety risk it poses, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and that Jeep/Stellantis address the defect under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (3‑year/36,000‑mile basic warranty). The front‑end suspension components—including the track bar, steering damper, ball joints, and related parts—should be inspected and repaired as necessary to eliminate this hazardous oscillation.

Parked my 2023 Wrangler 4xe for about three hours. When I started driving again the brake pedal was hard and it took way longer than normal to stop. No warning lights, no codes on the OBD reader. Toggling max regen on and off made no difference. Power cycling the vehicle didn’t fix it. Pads are warm so the calipers are engaging, but there’s very little stopping force behind them. I would guess there is an electrical issue with the regenerative breaking system or brake vacuum.

I am reporting a safety-related electrical failure involving the heated steering wheel system in a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. While driving, the heated steering wheel malfunctioned and produced smoke from the steering wheel area. This created an immediate safety concern due to the presence of smoke and the potential for electrical overheating or fire in a critical driver control component. This was not an isolated incident. The same system required a prior repair under warranty in late 2023. Despite that repair, the failure recurred in late 2025 with more severe symptoms, including overheating and damage to electrical components. The vehicle was taken out of service for repair, and the total time out of service related to this issue was approximately 115 days due to parts delays and repair time. The problem was confirmed and repaired by authorized dealerships, including replacement of the steering wheel and related electrical components. There were no meaningful warning indicators prior to the failure. The issue occurred during normal operations. The repeated failure of the same system, combined with smoke and electrical malfunction in the steering wheel, raises concern about a potential defect that could pose a safety risk to drivers and passengers.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a safety concern with my Jeep following the completion of Recall 68C. Since the recall service was performed, the vehicle has experienced significant issues when operating in hybrid mode. While driving in hybrid mode, the vehicle repeatedly switches back and forth between hybrid and electric operation. When the vehicle enters electric mode, the RPMs will suddenly spike and the vehicle will call for the gasoline engine. When the accelerator pedal is pressed, the vehicle is unable to maintain electric power and immediately switches into gasoline mode. This behavior results in constant drivetrain shifting and erratic engine speed changes. The RPMs frequently jump from 0 RPM (electric operation) to approximately 3,000 RPM when the gasoline engine abruptly engages. The repeated transitions between electric and gasoline power create noticeable hesitation, jerking, and inconsistent acceleration. This issue began only after the Recall 68C service was completed and was not present beforehand. The repeated switching between propulsion modes appears abnormal and may pose a safety concern, particularly during acceleration or when merging into traffic where predictable vehicle response is critical. I am submitting this report so that this issue can be documented and investigated to determine whether the recall repair may have introduced or failed to correct a problem within the hybrid drivetrain system. 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Unlimited

My 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has been in the shop at Tameron Jeep in Daphne, AL for 37 consecutive days. After having the recall on the hybrid battery software performed, an engine light came on. When I returned it to Tameron service department, I was told the diagnostic scan showed a fault in the hybrid battery due to the recall software update. It has remained at the service department for 37 days without remedy. The service department says they are waiting on Stellantis to advise them and that they feel like Stellantis "Star Connect" tech line is requiring their service tech to perform the same repeated tests again and again to avoid approving the hybrid battery replacement. I have called Jeep customer care, opened a case twice, escalated, requested area manager, etc., and currently there is no update, plan of action, or timeline for repair. The service department said even after the battery replacement is approved (it has not been yet), it would be more than 30 days to get the new battery. So in addition to the current 37 days in service, it could potentially be another 30-60 plus days. I have been unable to get any help, any plan, any updates from Stellantis. The service department has been very understanding but they can't do anything further without approval from Stellantis. I'm still making payments and insurance on the vehicle.

On 12/06/2025, I purchased a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe from a Chrysler Jeep dealership in Myrtle Beach, SC. Recall 68C (NHTSA 25V741000) had been published on 11/05/2025 — one month prior to my purchase. The recall involves high voltage battery cells with separator damage that may cause a vehicle fire while parked or driving. A Stop Sale order was active on this VIN at the time of sale. I raised the recall and fire risk during the purchase. The salesperson responded that "a fire could happen in any car" and continued to minimize my wife's specific safety concerns through sustained pressure until we agreed to purchase. No documentation was provided showing the recall had been remedied prior to delivery. The recall remains OPEN as of today. Third-party vehicle history data confirms Stop Sale: YES tied to 68C. We cannot charge the vehicle or use it as intended. We are unable to obtain timely service — the dealership reports months-long wait times with no loaner vehicle available. The vehicle has not been inspected or repaired for this defect. No warning lamps were present at purchase. The vehicle was available for sale and delivered to us despite the active Stop Sale designation. The safety risk is ongoing. We are parked away from structures per NHTSA guidance and have ceased charging the vehicle. This complaint is being filed as part of a formal legal record.

In November 2025, my vehicle underwent the required recall service. The repair was completed at the end of December 2025. However, immediately after the repair, I began experiencing significant performance problems in Electric Mode. Specifically: The vehicle now has severely reduced power output when operating in pure electric mode. Acceleration is noticeably weak and inconsistent compared to its performance prior to the recall repair. The gasoline engine frequently engages even when sufficient battery charge is available and Electric Mode is selected. The hybrid propulsion system in my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe intermittently malfunctions while driving. The “D” (Drive) indicator on the gear selector begins flashing, and the engine RPMs suddenly decrease without warning. During these events, the vehicle loses propulsion power and responsiveness. After several seconds, the vehicle may return to normal operation. This failure affects the hybrid powertrain and transmission system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates a serious safety risk because the sudden loss of propulsion reduces the vehicle’s ability to accelerate or maintain speed in traffic. This is especially dangerous when merging, crossing intersections, or driving at highway speeds, as it increases the risk of collision due to loss of power and reduced vehicle control. The vehicle has been evaluated by a Jeep dealership service department. The dealership has not provided a permanent repair, and the manufacturer recall affecting the hybrid system remains open and unresolved. The recall repair has not been performed, and the hybrid malfunction continues to occur. The vehicle has been inspected by dealership personnel, but the issue remains unresolved. The dealership indicated that replacing the 12-volt battery may help, but no definitive root cause has been identified, and the hybrid system malfunction continues. On 1/19/2026 I had my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe serviced at a Jeep dealership to have recall 68C corrected. I received a call from the dealership later that day stating a new battery was not needed, only a software update was needed. They completed the software update. On 1/31/2026 when I started my Jeep in the morning, the check engine light was on. After stopping at a red light, my Jeep felt like it was losing power. To get it to move, I had to push the pedal down to the floor, the Jeep jerked some and did drive but felt like it was going to shut down. I pulled in the parking spot. Turned the car off and tried to turn it back on. It would not start. The red battery light appeared, a symbol of a charger (accel.), and an error message stating, "service charging system". None the hybrid options were available and electronic mode showed not available. I had to have the Jeep towed to the dealership that recently completed the recall. The Jeep did start when the tow truck driver arrived, but I was worried that it would stall and leave me stranded on the beltway. On 2/2/2026 I received a call from the dealership stating the issue was with the battery and that it needed to be replace but it will take "some time" to receive. On 2/5/2026 I received a call from the dealership stating the battery should be received around 2/26/2026. I was reviewing online comments from other Jeep owners impacted by recall 68C and the issue that I experienced appears to be a common theme. Some reported it

Vehicle Safety Complaint – Instrument Cluster Failure Component/System Failed: The instrument cluster (dashboard display), part number 68522503AD, malfunctioned and intermittently went completely black while the vehicle was in operation. The vehicle and component were available for inspection and were inspected and repaired at Tomball DCJR. Safety Risk: When the instrument cluster malfunctioned, I could not see vehicle speed, warning indicators, gear position, or other critical safety information. AutoNation CDJR Spring instructed me to continue driving the vehicle and rely on a mobile phone app to view speed, increasing distraction and crash risk. Stellantis later instructed me to drive the unsafe vehicle to another dealership, showing disregard for my safety. Problem Confirmation: The defect was diagnosed in April 2025 at AutoNation CDJR Spring while the vehicle was under warranty. The dealer confirmed the cluster qualified for warranty replacement but released the vehicle back to me against my wishes due to parts backorder, despite it being unsafe. Stellantis repeatedly refused to assist after I filed complaints. Inspections: In January 2026, after the condition worsened, AutoNation CDJR Spring again refused service. Tomball DCJR inspected the vehicle, confirmed internal cluster failure, test-drove it and observed the display shutting off, then removed and replaced the cluster. I was forced to pay $111.63 for installation despite the repair being warranty-related. Warnings

I am submitting this complaint regarding a confirmed safety-related defect and manufacturer nonresponse involving my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys 4xe, VIN [XXX] . The failed component is the high-voltage hybrid battery system. The vehicle and battery pack are currently located at an authorized Jeep dealership and are available for inspection. The vehicle was delivered to the dealership on December 29, 2025 for recall-related service. On December 30, 2025, the dealership confirmed a high-voltage battery failure. A STAR case was opened and escalated to Stellantis engineering. The vehicle was immediately removed from service and has remained unusable since that date. Prior to removal from service, the vehicle experienced repeated loss of propulsion, Electric Mode Temporarily Unavailable messages, and driveline warnings during normal operation. These symptoms were reported over multiple service visits and documented by video. The vehicle was repeatedly returned to service with repair notes stating “could not replicate” and assurances that it was safe to operate, park indoors, and charge. Those assurances were later contradicted by the confirmed battery failure and recall-related safety restrictions, exposing my family and home to avoidable safety risk. The vehicle is subject to Recall Campaign 68C. Despite confirmation of a safety-related battery failure, Stellantis has not provided a written remediation plan, assigned a decision owner, or communicated a resolution timeline. The dea

The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was intermittently illuminated, and the vehicle jerked abnormally while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair, and the contact was informed that a diagnostic test was initiated. The contact was concerned that the dealer was trying to charge a fee and advised the dealer to start with the recall repair, which was free of charge. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 47,500.

My wife and I were driving to the dealer to have a safety recall service performed on her Jeep Wrangler 4XE. We had just merged onto the highway, I was in my car, behind my wife in her Jeep. Less than a mile onto the highway, my wife suddenly slowed down and moved to the right lane. As she moved over to the right lane, I saw her front tire violently wobbling back and forth. We slowed down to 30mph on the highway and after approximately 30 seconds the problem seemed to resolve. We limped our way to the exit (about another mile) and to the dealer about 1/4 mile off the highway. When my wife got out of the car she was still shaking, rattled by what had just happened. When we described what happened to the service center they responded "oh, you had the death wobble." After some research, I watched several videos about the death wobble, which confirmed what I had just seen. What if my wife had panicked and pulled over into another car in the right lane? What if she was on a small 2 lane highway and veered off the road and down an embankment? There were no warning lights or messages on the vehicle indicating any problem prior to this happening. This happened with ZERO warning and was terrifying to watch, let alone my poor wife experiencing first hand. The Jeep dealership has run diagnostics and report it is a bad steering damper. More than 3 weeks later the car remains at the dealership, awaiting repair of not only that, but also the safety recall fix for the hybrid battery. Commun

The issue involves the high-voltage battery system and charging system on my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The vehicle was previously subject to Recall 95B, which addressed high-voltage battery safety concerns and was performed by an authorized Jeep dealership. After that recall, the vehicle later experienced additional hybrid system issues, which required replacement of the charging port due to battery-related faults. Most recently, the vehicle was brought to the dealership for Safety Recall 68C, which addresses potential internal battery cell failure that may lead to overheating or fire. During the recall procedure, after the required software updates and diagnostic testing, the vehicle failed the 68C recall. The dealership confirmed that the high-voltage battery must be fully replaced. The vehicle has been out of service since January 6, 2026 and remains at the dealership. A STAR case was opened with Stellantis, but the dealer has confirmed there is no estimated time of arrival for the replacement battery and no estimated time to repair the vehicle. The battery is available for inspection upon request. This defect poses a serious safety risk, as the recall involves potential battery overheating or fire, including when the vehicle is parked. I was advised not to charge the vehicle and to park away from structures prior to repair. The issue has been confirmed by an authorized Jeep dealership and acknowledged by the manufacturer, but the safety defect remains unresolved due to the

Lost all power to vehicle after driving for approximately 40 minutes, around 60-70 MPH. I was driving on the highway and then lost all power. I was able to pull off of the interstate and got a few blinking messages. The only one I remember was "Shift to P to Start". I could not accelerate at all and probably had less than a minute to get to safety before the car coasted to a stop and I was forced to put the car in park and turn it back on. It seemed like a forced restart on a computer but you could not choose the time or place to do it and there was very little warning. This is a huge safety issue!

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
