As I was driving onto the highway I reached to about 70 mph. The vehicle said “service electric system” on the dashboard and instantly the vehicle lost power and turned off. It then shifted from drive to park without warning as I was still on the highway. I pulled over safely without causing an accident and turned the vehicle completely off.

First, this Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4XE is a disaster! It has broken down 4 times so far. And it has been towed to the dealership 3 times. The safety issues is that is has literally stopped in the middle of the road or highway 3 times so far. It has been to shop 4 times to get fixed with no solution at all. I have talked to others who have or had this vehicle with many of the same issues. They hate the car, including m,e, and cannot wait or have gotten rid of the car. Lemon law is my next step. Cannot believe that you have not done a mandatory recall on all of these 4XE Jeeps/.
On several occasions, FCW activated unexpectedly in low risk situations (in driveway, pulling into neighborhood) May 2024 & Nov 2024. While driving 60MHP on a 4 lane highway during rush hour on May 19, FCW activated unexpectedly; immediately taking me down to 20MHP. The “BRAKE” warning and beeping remained with the brakes activated for 30-60 seconds. I was unable to accelerate. Vehicles behind me had to swerve to avoid impact. As I was pulling off the highway immediately following, FCW activated again and I was nearly rear-ended. There were no vehicles in front of me for a least a mile during these incidents. Vehicle has been inspected by 3 separate certified Jeep mechanic. All claim they cannot identify an issue with the vehicle as there are no active codes in the system. The dealer has not been able to reproduce the concern. It appears to happen every couple thousand miles. My safety and my family’s safety and other drivers are at risk if this vehicle remains on the road unfixed. The sudden braking could cause a major accident. Jeep refuses to address the issue. The dealer insists nothing is wrong because the issue is not found.
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while her mother was driving, the rearview camera displayed a distorted image while the vehicle was in reverse(R) and failed to sound as intended, compromising the back-over prevention system. The contact stated that the failure prevented the driver from safely operating the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact stated that her mother had been involved in a low-speed parking lot accident. The vehicle moved forward and hit a brick wall, where it came to a stop. It was unknown if warning lights were illuminated. The driver-side and passenger-side air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries sustained. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The body damage was repaired. However, the rearview camera was not repaired. The insurance company was contacted. Weeks later, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign number: 24V944000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION). On a separate occasion, the contact was driving at 5 MPH while parallel parking, the rearview camera image froze, compromising the back-over prevention system. The contact stated that the failure prevented the driver from safely operating the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact hit a cement flower pot, where it came to a stop. The driver-side and passenger-side air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries sustained. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The insurance company w
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was jolting forward. The check engine warning light was intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The contact was denied vehicle rental assistance. The contact had just undergone a heart surgery and was concerned for his safety. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.
My jeep is a 2024, with just about 12,000 miles. On Monday, May 5, 2025. My Air Conditioner stopped working. It was only blowing out warm air. Now I’m told there’s some kind of AC leak and it will take 2-5 days for parks and a full day to repair. After reading reviews. This is a known issue with 2022 jeeps. This needs to be an issue with 2024. This is my 3rd jeep and I’ve never had issues like this.
I was changing my right rear tire due to a nail on a slight slope in my driveway and I had a roll away incident. The top of my driveway is a slight slope and then changes to fairly steep. My vehicle rolled off of my jack and jack stand and continued into the street. Fortunately there was no damage other than extreme stress
Since I began leasing the vehicle, it has not consistently switched into electric mode, even when charged. Sometimes, it will stay in hybrid-only mode for days. Today, I received a warning of an electrical system failure. I have only had the vehicle for 3 months.
I was traveling on a highway at 65MPH in Hybrid mode. The car displayed a Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message along with several other system failure messages in rapid succession. The battery failure icon was also on. The car lost all power and started slowing down. Luckily traffic was light and I was able to reach a point to where I was able to move to a spot on the roadside. I stopped the car and it automatically went into park and would not move out of park. After several tries I was able to start the vehicle in esave mode and it was running on the ICE. All of the errors cleared. I was able to proceed to a side road and eventually make it home. I took it to my local dealer the next day and a read of the code was a B273C indicating digital crash detection. The service manager said this is a known problem and they are waiting for a fix. Reference Star Publication S2408000063 Rev. C In most cases only the Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message comes on for a few second and goes away. This has occurred on my vehicle multiple times with no side effects. One other time the car went into Turtle mode, which cleared after a restart. It was in town so was not an issue to pull over. This time the loss of power could have been catastrophic if traffic was heavy while traveling on a busy highway at high speeds.
We have an unknown problem with a clunking/creaking noise while driving the vehicle we believe is coming from the front of the vehicle, possibly the suspension or steering. We are not sure we feel safe driving the vehicle since after taking it to the dealer three times in the past year, the dealer acknowledges the clunking but has not been able to identify and fix the issue. We have been told by the dealer it is safe to drive - but if they can't identify and fix the issue - how do they know that to be the case? Without being able to identify the cause of the noise and whatever resulting unusual wear and tear, will we have a catastrophic steering or suspension failure while driving the vehicle? Our 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe Trailhawk, (purchased new) has an "air" suspension - not sure if it's an option or standard on the Trailhawk models. We have had it in to the dealer three times for this issue - this last time the dealer had the truck for 16 plus weeks. The front stabilizer bar has been replaced multiple times, the upper and lower control arms have all been replaced, all four air shocks have been replaced, and a mounting bracket replaced. The dealer told us they opened a Star case with Jeep and the Jeep engineer has been on-site to examine the vehicle. After the engineer requested three different fixes that did not fix the problem, the dealer returned the vehicle and stated they are aware the issue persists and the Jeep engineering group is working on a resolution (even
1. The red wrench light, accompanied by a "service hybrid electric vehicle system" 2. The unconnect box needing to be serviced screen is also always popping up when the car turns on. Dealer was notified and did nothing about it.
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while attempting to complete a right turn, the vehicle studently jolted and surged forward. The contact stated that because of the failure, the vehicle struck the curb before coming to a complete stop. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the contact was not provided a cause for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened for a potential vehicle buyback. The failure mileage was 18,000.
The contact who is a State Trooper reported that the driver of a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee was fatally injured when a second vehicle crashed into the rear of the vehicle. A witness reported that the vehicle had stopped in the left eastbound lane on [XXX] when a second vehicle traveling approximately 70 MPH crashed into the rear of the vehicle. During the crash, the driver was partially ejected from the closed sunroof. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to the hospital with multiple fractures. No further information was available. The contact indicated that medical personnel removed the deceased driver from thru the sunroof of the vehicle and no doors had opened during the crash. While investigating the crash the contact reported that the steering wheel had separated from the steering column and was located near the rear seat area. Also, there were no visual signs of damage to the steering column or any sheered-off bolts from the steering column present. The contact indicated that an eye witness also indicated that the vehicle was driving erratically prior to stopping. The vehicle was later towed away. The cause of the incident was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.
The entire vehicle failed with a No Start Issue. The vehicle will not wake up, can not jump off. My safety is being stranded without a workable vehicle. No the problem has not been resolved after being towed into service to the dealer twice. The STAR engineers got involved this last time but asked the service center to release the vehicle to me because they could not replicate the issue. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms to indicate a problem with the vehicle/engine/electronic system, the vehicle is just simply dead.
The catalytic converter had to be replaced after 3000 miles. Vehicle was purchased in September and it had to be replaced in December. Had to take vehicle in twice for them to diagnose the problem.
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the brake pedal failed to keep the vehicle stopped while at a stop light or stop sign, allowing the vehicle to continue to roll forward. The contact stated that the taillights failed to illuminate until manually turned on. The failure occurred intermittently. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who could not determine the cause of the failure. The contact was informed to return the vehicle to the dealer if the failure occurred again. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Ron Carter Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram League City (3535 Gulf Fwy, League City, TX 77573) however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,000.
Bought my new 2024 Jeep in July 2024 and went to work this morning and came out 8 1/2 hours later to a dead car and the after a jump the engine malfunction light was on called to make an appt to get my car in to see what’s going on. I have noticed that I have been having problems using the car starter sometimes it won’t start and my seat and steering wheel warmers are programmed to come on at all starts and if the temp outside is 40 and above they do not come on. When starting the vehicle it starts very heavy and loud.
The issues I'm experiencing are a rubbing sound when breaking and turing the wheel. THE CAR TURNED ON AND COULD NOT BE TURNED OFF. nothing worked or responded no matter what you pushed. The brake sensor and lane assist diagnostic fault codes (error codes)popped up which they couldn't find a bulletin or error code to replicate the issue. The vehicle would not read the key fob, it would say the fob had left the vehicle because the door opened, or if i move the key while in the vehicle( bulletin for this issue). I get the call that my vehicle is ready and I'm driving away and the steering wheel vibration coming from the engine between 40 and 49mph feels like I should be driving on rumble strips, but the drive is smooth, this is coming straight from the engine or transmission when you accelerate through the steering wheel. This was not an issue before they ran their tests and fixed said problems. The computers are still updating on the screen and I hope that it evens out when the car turns on and off and the computers reset.NOW TODAY the car starts dinging and error codes are flashing on my dash. It's the lane sensor and the lane assist error code going crazy. This was the issue they couldn't replicate or find a bulletin on. Here's the fun part, the problem becomes more consistent when I apply the brakes. One time the brakes seem to not work properly. All these error codes pop up when you initiate the braking system. Then the final error code was warning me that the breaking syst
Car consistently will not start after sitting for more than 2 days. Cannot be immeaditly jump started. Talke to dealer and was told that is an ongoing issue with all Gran Cherokee's. A check of their car lot shows most cars needed to be jump started to show clients. They also told be they just had a service meeting discussiong issues with cars and JD power surveys. It was agrred by the sales force the batteries were not powerful enough for the carsa. Stallantis rep said they never heard of this before
When driving on any kind of roads the brake pedal has a vibration. I recently changed the tires and it helped a little but the vibration is still there. I want to get this resolved bc I’m afraid of driving sometimes. The vibration isn’t crazy but I don’t know what is causing it. I feel unsafe driving sometimes.
It failed to shift out of low gear while merging onto the highway and the engine revved up to 6000 rpm as a result. I read that this is happening to other owners and the dealerships are unable to locate the problem. This is the first time that this happened to me, but from what I've read it will happen again. I'm afraid that the engine or transmission might blow up injuring me or or another vehicle next to me on the highway. I'm also afraid that if something does fail that it might cause me to lose control of the vehicle. I currently have a call into the dealership, but with what others have stated online, the dealerships have not been helpful in isolating the problem. There was no indication of any type (lamps or messages) that there was a problem.
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that after driving for approximately 9 straight hours, the contact had turned on the driver-side seat warming feature. The contact then stated that she began to feel burns on her upper right thigh and immediately turned off the seat warmer. The contact stated that the burns were so severe that she went to urgent care for treatment. The contact was treated for burn blisters on her upper right thigh. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was instructed to take the vehicle to a dealer to have the seat inspected by a Chrysler investigator. The seat was torn apart and the investigator saw no signs that a breaker was tripped nor any evidence of burns on the heating coils. The vehicle was returned to the contact. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
The key fob does not alway work. It is like the system in the vehicle “times out” and when the buttons are pressed in the key fob nothing unlocks, tailgate doesn’t open, or remote start doesn’t work. The door handle has to be touched for passive entry to “wake up” the key fob. Also, sometimes the vehicle says “key fob not detected” when in the vehicle to start it. At 6 months old the fob batteries had to be replaced. I have brought this up to my dealer and they said Stellantis is aware of the issue and are expecting a fix in the first half of 2025. There are many Jeep Grand Cherokee that are being built to this day with this issue. [XXX] Here is a link to a thread on a jeep forum. I would’ve never bought this car if I knew I would have this key fob issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Total Brake Failure in 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with less than 1800 Miles [XXX] , I was driving my new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, with less than 1800 miles on it, North on [XXX] in St. Michael, MN, traveling at approximately 30+ mph. I had signaled to turn E on [XXX] . I turned on my signal and began moving slightly to the right to get into the right turn lane, depressing my brake pedal at the same time. The brake pedal with little downward travel (an inch or less?) jammed and would not allow me to depress it any further. I had zero braking ability. A white car heading West on [XXX] , seeing I had my turn signal on and was moving to the right, began to pull out to make the LH turn onto [XXX] and go south. When my brakes totally failed, I swerved violently to the left, as my subconscious mind apparently indicated I was traveling too fast to make the RH turn. The white car continued to enter [XXX] , and by some miracle, I managed to make it around that vehicle as I swerved into the oncoming lane that, thankfully, had no approaching traffic. I continued N on [XXX] and tried several times to depress the brake pedal to stop but could not depress it more than a tiny bit, my wife yelling frantically, asking me what I was doing. I said, “the brakes don’t work!” It was as though the brake pedal had a brick beneath it, even though it did not have any obstruction. With the engine still running, I glided to a stop just short of [XXX], pulling over to the curb as I halted.
The car did not start, the dashboard was on but did not started, where not able to take the electric park to tow it. Vehicle is new, with this weather being left stranded is not safe to go anywhere, you don't know if you will be able to return.
Battery dead (Consistently dies) after garaged for 24 hours. Could not use my car in an emergency medical situation. I cannot depend on my Jeep to start
High beams only working when physically holding the handle down. Automatic high beams not working at all and won’t come on unless you turn off automatic high beams. We took it into Flow Jeep in Charlottesville today where they told us they had heard about this issue from others, but that Dodge Jeep had not found fix and continue to claim it works as it’s supposed to. That cannot be when you cannot get the high beams to come on without physically holding the paddle. They cut the automatic highbeams on, which now means I cannot get my highbeams to come on at all unless I physically hold the handle down. You cannot drive holding that down the entire time. The car is now not sensing when it’s evening time and changing the interior lighting, so it’s not as bright. I have to go in and physically change that. We live in the country. This is a huge safety risk. We need Jeep to fix this.
INCIDENT HAPPENED TWICE IN ONE WEEK. NEW VEHICLE, WILL NOT CRANK/START. LESS THAN 60 MILES. THE /BATTERY WAS DEAD, COULD NOT BE JUMPED AND HAD TO BE TOWED.
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the message "Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) Failure - Service Required" was displayed and the emergency brakes were erroneously activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who reprogrammed the AEB system, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 137.
Vehicle does not start consistently and when it does it shows reading of “key fob has left the vehicle” when key fob is actually in the car. Car has been towed and would not start. Dealer duplicated this issue and Stellantis says currently no fix. I just park in my garage and hoping they will do the right thing and repurchase and replace my vehicle.
I was driving at 65 mph on highway when warning screen came on ""Service Transmission Continue in D. Do not shift or turn engine off until you reach a desired location. You may not be able to shift again until serviced". Then warnings came up that each of the safety systems are disabled (lane assist, front collision, etc.). I was only a few miles from next. I slowed when exiting, car would not increase power when I tried to merge onto road, had to ride on shoulder to safe place to park. I put car in park, tried to shut it off, but it would not shut down completely. It also would not go out of park. Jeep had car towed, replaced transmission (took 4 weeks). Brand new car with only 866 miles on it. I definitely felt my life was endangered on highway with so many components failing & when car would not shut off. I'm now scared to drive it alone. Luckily I was in a populated area & close to home when this happened. (attached pics were taken when I was parked & car would not turn off)
-Steering boot popped open causing steering rack assembly to need replacement at 3,216 miles. -Power steering warning light engaged making me aware of an issue on 8/5/24. A strange cranking noise when making u turns occurred infrequently. -Car was taken to a repair shop on 8/5/24 where prior suspension, steering and wheel alignment work had been done on 6/25/24 due to fender bender. Diagnostic was performed and repair facility advised that code stated that a "power steering (computer) update was needed" and that Jeep would have to perform the necessary computer update. -Car was subsequently taken to Jeep dealership on 8/5/24 and dealership stated that a new power steering rack assembly was needed and that manufacturer warranty would be notified. Communication from dealership on 8/28/24 added that steering boot was torn and that incident was billed as additional claim to insurance incident on 6/25/24. -Vehicle component has NOT been confirmed by manufacturer and dealership is unwilling to pursue inspection of part because vehicle was involved in a fender bender on 6/25/24 at 2,410 miles. - Initial repair facility does not believe that damage to steering boot existed on 6/25/24. -Insurance representative has confirmed damage and paid additional claim, but cannot confirm if it was caused due to a defect in the part. It is my opinion that this issue may be caused by a defective part due to the timing of the issue and visual inspection of the part. I would like for NHTSA to evalua
The system does not work in my 2024 Grand Cherokee. My dealer agreed to take me out for a drive and after several attempts to get the system to engage (straight on rear end, corner of a stopped vehicle, corner of an exiting vehicle) nothing! No audible, visual or brake jerk. The technician was an awesome driver because he scared the ---- out of us trying to get the system to engage. Service advisor had the tech take out another 2024 GC to perform the same test. We went with him. Same thing.....nothing. In both SUVs multiple tests at varying distance setting were performed. They tried to tell us that nothing is wrong because when diagnostics were run there were no codes, no error messages so no problem. Told them that isn't good enough. They finally agreed to open a "star" (I think) report with corporate and I will be taking my GC into the shop on September 11th through the 13th. There are many other Jeep owners stating the same thing. Effects multiple models and multiple model years. [XXX] has threads that are discussing the problem and Jeep Cares is a member of that forum. I have also seen complaints on a Jeep Compass owners site. I believe Jeep is fully aware but many owners may not be familiar with how the system works. Dealerships are telling customers that they can't fix the system because the diagnostics aren't registering a fault. I had three incidents where I was cutoff by other drivers and the system did not engage. The system is supposed to work at 3 miles per hour
FCA pushed an involuntary software update to our car on August 6, 2024. It completed about 75% of the update and froze, rendering our display and systems unusable. Our back-up camera only works intermittently as does many of the ADAs safety features. We have no temperature controls or radio either. We have been to the dealer multiple times and they are being told by FCA that the entire unit needs to be replaced. A search of social media (reddit) shows that others may be having the same safety issue. The dealer says they have had four more incidents come into their shop.
Screen displays blank and striped
The forward park usually works now it doesn’t and this is a 2024 jeep new from the dealer. Very unacceptable almost crash into another car bc the cluster will usually beep and show me how far I am when I get close and now i guess it just doesn’t do that anymore ? Can I get some help please and quick…..lot of money being spent on this monthly lease! I’d appreciate it thank u!!!!
While I was driving the panoramic sunroof shattered. The vehicle did not sustain any damage from any foreign object. There was a loud noise like an explosion coming from the top of the vehicle and then I heard a rattling sound. When I opened the sunshade I seen the panoramic glass was shattered. There wasn’t other vehicles or debris around me when this happened.
Second time the ignition module has failed, leaving myself, husband and 3 dogs stranded over an hour from home. Vehicle would not start or recognize the key fob. The vehicle has had to be flatbed towed TWICE in the 5 months of owning it for the same issue
Speedometer does not function. We have no idea how fast or slow we are going at any given time. It shows random speeds. Fearful we could cause an accident by unknowingly driving too fast or too slow. The speedometer display indicates we are going 40+ mph while we are sitting absolutely still at stop lights & that we are traveling at a variety of speeds including 0 mph while keeping up with traffic on the interstate. Tachometer does not function. The rpm gauge fluctuates wildly while idling and while the vehicle is in motion. Gear Display does not function. We have no way of knowing what gear the vehicle is in or if it will remain stationary, move forward or backwards. Driving this vehicle or simply having the engine on, could very easily cause death or serious injury. Air bags & warning display do not function. The red alert on the instrument panel is constantly lit up indicating that the airbags will not function in the case of an accident. Engine gear display does not function. Display will randomly indicate vehicle is in reverse while we are very clearly driving forward. We have no way of knowing if the vehicle will suddenly change gears a result. Engine randomly turns off while in motion. The engine began randomly turning off while we were driving even after we picked it up from the dealership following the first attempt at repairs. There is absolutely no warning when it happens. We have no way of knowing when, where or at what speed the vehicle will be moving when the en
High Beam Headlamp Control not equipped with Auto High Beams feature does not turn on the high beam headlamps when requested if the master lighting switch is set to Auto headlamp position.
Brand new vehicle with 11 miles on the odometer. The emergency Braking system does not work. If I go into the settings and make a change to emergency braking, such as far or close, the message “Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) Unavailable Service Required” will come up on the cluster display. Once I restart the vehicle it goes away. If I go back into the AEB settings and make a change, the message will come up on the cluster again. When I restart the vehicle and the message goes away, it still does not seem as though the Auto Emergency Braking system is working. This is very dangerous.
The high beam recall was performed at the dealer, and it did not repair the problem.this is a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The car was at the dealer a second time to try to repair it ,with no success. Now Jeep refuses to let the dealer work on it a THIRD time. This recall is for the high beams not operating when set to auto.Safety recall no.108 S9 4.Jeep is not honoring the warranty at the risk of my safety and in breach of contract. This car was worked on March 20,2024 and still no help from Jeep,NHTSA, FTC, or Attorney General.Nice work folks! I first reported the problem on 1-15-24
This car has been worked on twice with negative results, now the dealer has told me Jeep does not want to try to repair it until further investigation.it does not comeply with FMVSS No.108 recall repair 12B Wich was performed twice with negative results.I think they are avoiding the lemon law by not trying to repair it a third time.No loaner or compensation offered.
Returned car for recall on [XXX], [XXX],dealer performed Chrysler recall [XXX],negative results. returned to dealer on 3-20-2024,they had car from 9:30 until 5:00 pm negative results, fault still there. complaint [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Returned to dealer for recall 12b, F.C.A. US recall number, problem not resolved,Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 59 4
Vehicle lost power on multiple occasions where it could not be operated or jump started to get moving. Odometer blinking/blind spot indicators staying illuminated/rear back-up camera fault reading "system unavailable" Brake pedal kicking back when trying to start the Jeep. Gear shifter moving when vehicle is dead. Dealer is working on vehicle again and I have been without it for a total of approximately 24 days since I purchased in November 2023.
When Vehicle is operated with the head lights in auto mode the operator is unable to activate the High Beam head lights with the paddle. The operator has to switch the headlights to a manual mode and then may activate the bright lights. The vehicle is not equipped with auto high beams. Vehicle was return to dealer service department. Dealer Contacted Chrysler / Jeep and said this is normal and no fix is available. This is the exact same issue that was presented to NHTSA with the 2021 Jeep Cherokee L and a safety recall was issued to due it violating standards. NHTSA Campaign Id 21V797000; Date: Oct. 14, 2021 Seems unsafe.
The high beams do not work when the lights are in the "Auto" position. When the lever is pushed forward to manually turn on the high beams, nothing happens but when it is pulled back the high beams will come on so long as it is being held back. The high beams will only work correctly when the lights are in the "ON" position. I have had this Jeep at the dealership three times and they cannot diagnose the problem or find any error codes. This appears to be a problem with many 2023/2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee's according to online comments and this also appears to be a similar issue as the recall which was issued in 2021 for that model of Jeep Grand Cherokee (21V-797 / Y66 Recall - These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment).
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the display screen mal-functioned and the back over prevention camera froze with an image that there was no object behind the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and a diagnostic test was performed. The dealer performed a software update however, the failure of the frozen screen with the back over prevention camera persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the wires were checked, and the dealer performed a factory reset. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure, but the dealer stated the manufacture was working on a software update to be available by the end of February 2024. The failure mileage was approximately 230.
I bought this vehicle 2weeks ago and she drove it Iowa. The next morning when she went to drive it, the battery was totally dead. Technician at Jeep Dealership it’s a software problem and they could take out that chip of the Telematics box is causing battery drain.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
