Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 4XE, and Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition in the "Off" position.

Risk. A vehicle fire increases the risk of injury.

Remedy. Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, until their vehicle is repaired. Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring and electric hydraulic power steering pump, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 9, 2026. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Controls and Displays."

Risk. An instrument panel that fails to display critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, can increase the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US), LLC is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles equipped with a manual transmission. The rearview camera may fail to display the rearview image and the reverse lights may not illuminate when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, "Rear Visibility" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk. A disabled rearview image can decrease the driver's visibility of the rear view, and disabled reverse lights may not alert others that the vehicle is reversing, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator, and 2022-2023 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine. The high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) may fail.

Risk. Fuel pump failure can result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Jeep Wrangler, and 2020-2023 Jeep Gladiator vehicles equipped with manual transmissions. The clutch pressure plate may overheat and fracture.

Risk. Overheated clutch components may increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, damage to other nearby components can result in debris falling onto the road or a loss of drive, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the clutch assembly and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed from November 16, 2023 through July 25, 2024. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Ram 1500, Jeep Gladiator, and 2021 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The front seat belt retractors may have an improperly welded micro gas generator, which can result in seat belt pretensioner failure.

Risk. A seat belt with pretensioner failure may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The transmission parking wheel may not properly engage with the parking mechanism.

Risk. A malfunctioning parking mechanism may result in the loss of the 'park' position, including vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

The DPF system has failed upon numerous occasions. This model is a 2022 they only made these diesels for 3 years in the gladiator and discontinued them I assume for reasons stated above. The issues is not resolved and continues to happen. It should have a recall and the government put these standards on these vehicles and should be responsible for removing the dpf system and deleting the problem it restricts the engine not allowing it to run smoothly.

Emergency brake not working properly consistently, loosens, has been repaired, replaced, still fails, loosens. Have had 2 accidents related to this, leg was run over. Second time rolled into tree almost 12000 dollars in damage, issues just about since purchase, saw multiple dealers, issue continues

Vehicle was taken in as per recall NHTSA Campaign Number 26V363 Mopar Recall number 21D for power steering inspection was performed and vehicle cleared vehicle subsequently gave a power steering message followed by complete vehicle shutdown after multiple electrical faults and electrical components going off vehicle stopped in middle of parking lot road prior to highway and could not be jumped because computer completely shutdown to protect itself if this happened two minutes later on highway outcome could have been severe this issue should be fixed by replacing power steering pump and wiring and inspection did not work vehicle was towed to Harr CJDR will add files when received from dealer

On July 30, my 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon suffered an extremely dangerous, unexpected complete electrical and engine failure while in operation. The vehicle abruptly shut down without any warning, causing an immediate loss of power steering and power braking. Prior to and during this shutdown, diagnostic codes associated with lost communication were triggered, (Lost Communication with Transmission Control Module). A total loss of vehicle power and primary control systems while driving presents a severe, unacceptable safety hazard that places passengers and surrounding traffic at immediate risk of a high-speed collision or severe injury. Given that this model has low mileage (approximately 23,000 miles) and is under factory warranty, a catastrophic system shutdown like this indicates a critical safety defect within the electrical or powertrain control modules. What happened: Driving on road, check engine light and traction control light appeared, smelled metallic-type odor, pulled over, before I could put it in park smoke started pouring from under the hood on passenger side. Unable to extinguish due to ball of flames hitting me as I opened hood. Burned it to the ground. Which component: I'm assuming it was the electric hydraulic power steering pump (EHPSP) wiring. The fire was on the passenger side. The vehicle is available for inspection in a tow lot near [XXX]. Safety: It caught fire on a small dirt road in the country. I was the only occupant and I was uninjured. There was nobody on the road at the time. Thankfully the woods got rain recently or it would have caused a massive forest fire. Problem reproduced: No Inspection: No one has inspected the car yet. Warning: There was no other warning other than described above and the truck was behaving perfectly normal. Multiple control modules lost communication due to faulty Can Bus connection behind glove box. Vehicle went into limp mode then forced me to put in park while at red light, essentially disabling vehicle.

Main battery drains over period of time with unknown reason or cause. It has been inspected several times and is being linked to the alternate battery.

Death wobble

The third brake light is not working on my 2022 Gladiator. It was working, but shortly after purchase it stopped working. This seems to be quite the issue as I have seen many Gladiators of all years with the third brake lights not working. This is a safety issue and will not pass inspection if not working. Since there are so many years of Gladiators with inoperable third brake lights it shows that the manufacturer has not addressed the issue. They then turn around and charge up to $100 per light replacement. Unacceptable! This is a government mandated item for vehicles, and as a mandated item it should work more than a couple of years. This is the first vehicle I have ever owned that has issues with the third LED brake light. If the government does not help correct this situation the manufacturer will never correct the situation, and replacement third brake lights will fail within a short period of time leading owners to pay for a part that fails continuously. I have read about many owners simply replacing the light with another Jeep third brake light and not reporting it, only to have it happen again later. Please do something about this highway robbery.

Lost the clutch, no ability to shift, had no propulsion. 60 seconds later, the car was on fire while driving. Pulled over, got out, and within 20 minutes the car completely burnt to the ground. Wa state law states that the vehicle used or new should not have been sold in condition. Vehicle was purchased in 2025. Carfax report shows that vehicle was sold from dealership in Florida days after the recall was issued.

When filling gas tank and letting the pump stop on it’s own, Tank gets full, pump clicks off, fuel pushes back out of the fuel filler and I end up with fuel spill on my car and the ground. I worry that fuel spilling and any source of ignition equals a posible fire hazard. Jeep dealership replaced the fuel filler neck but the issue continues. After one repair attempted , I took the car back to dealership two other times for the same concern. 2nd time they say unable to replicate and the 3rd time did not perform any repairs. I have multiple videos of this issue happening when filling up the tank of my jeep. Vehicle has 27385 miles has done this since new, just doesn’t do it all the time.

Issue with Death Wobble. Factory 2" leveling lift was installed. Shortly after that I had issues. I was informed to replace the steering damper. that didnt fix the issue. Then I replaced the drag link with a after market one and the issue is better. But it is still an issue on some roads. the death Wobble is still there.

I had an issue while I was driving my 2022 Jeep Mojave as I was accelerating to join traffic on the highway, and merging to the left. I suddenly lost my power steering capability. I no longer had power steering throughout my entire drive at Highway speed however once I encountered traffic on the highway and I slowed down to approximate 20-30 mph suddenly my power steering returned. This was extremely dangerous and thankfully my kids weren’t driving when it happened. Jeep doesn’t have any fix but this should absolutely be a recall! Power steering failed without warning whilst driving at highway speed on i26, no warnings nor warning lights displayed. Vehicle remained operable, whilst difficult to steer I continued to next exit. As I slowed to a stop the power steering suddenly functioned again. This could lead to a fatal accident if this loss of power steering were to happen in a curve as the steering is exceedingly heavy without.

While my vehicle was still under factory warranty, a mechanical issue was diagnosed by the dealership and a replacement part was ordered. The part was placed on backorder, and I was advised I would be contacted once it arrived. I was never notified when the part became available. By the time I was contacted weeks later, the warranty period had expired. I immediately scheduled service once I learned the part was available. During the repair visit, I was informed that the prolonged delay resulted in additional damage, including components related to braking and sealing. These components are available for inspection and were identified by the servicing dealership. Brake system involvement raises safety concerns, as reduced braking effectiveness can increase stopping distance and risk to occupants and others. The condition was confirmed by dealership technicians during service. The issue was not caused by misuse and occurred due to a delayed repair that originated under warranty but could not be completed due to parts unavailability and lack of notification. Safety Complaint: Suspension Failure Following Major Axle Rebuild In June 2025, my Jeep Gladiator underwent an invasive rear differential rebuild under TSB 03-002-24 at AutoNation. At that time, a certified Multi-Point Inspection (MPI) marked all suspension components and fluids as "Green/Safe." On February 5, 2026, a Shop Foreman at Gillman Jeep identified a catastrophic failure of the rear stabilizer links and leaking/bouncy front shocks, along with "diluted/failed" fluids. These safety-critical components went from "Certified Safe" to "Failed" in only 6 months/12,000 miles following the axle rebuild. The Safety Risk: The failed stabilizer links and shocks have compromised the vehicle's stability and handling. This is a documented Workmanship Failure (likely due to improper torque at ride height/bushing bind during the June TSB repair). The Manufacturer Response: Jeep Corporate Case Management (Case #95545827) is currently refusing to authorize safety repairs under the 24-Month Mopar National Warranty, citing internal dealership billing issues. My daughter was startled and frightened by the extent of the shaking and nearly lost control of the vehicle while driving 6o+ miles per hour on a highway. We currently live in Ohio; if we still lived in San Antonio, TX and she was driving on one of their raised overpasses, I fear what might have happened. I believed this to be an anomaly, but have now experienced this phenomenon on four out of five Jeep Wrangle/Gladiator vehicles within my own family, a failure rate of 80%. All occurred prior to 36,000 miles (but after three years). When I took the vehicle in for repair to the Jeep dealership, they modified my statement of the problem on official paperwork because, they said, if they mentioned "death wobble" on paperwork, they would have a team of engineers descend on their dealership (which they did not want).
