On August 27, 2026, my 2027 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy displayed a "Stop Vehicle and Check Power Supply" warning and was taken to the dealership. The vehicle has been at the dealership for 14 days with no resolution. The dealer retrieved two fault codes: P0C381C (DC/DC Converter Temperature Sensor Circuit — non-active/historical) and U131787 (Lost Communication with Hybrid Control Module — currently active). Code P0C381C does not exist in Hyundai's current DTC list. Hyundai Techline was contacted and advised the dealer to not replace any parts, hold the vehicle, and place the customer in a loaner. Hyundai is aware of the problem and working on a fix. As of September 10, 2026, the dealer identified that a campaign was launched on August 28, 2026 to update the MCULDC module to correct code P0C381C. The dealer confirmed the ROM ID matches the TSB and the software update is ready to apply at the dealership. However, Hyundai Techline has not responded to the open tech case to authorize the update, leaving the vehicle stranded at the dealer. This issue is consistent with Hyundai Recall 301 (NHTSA Campaign 26V308), issued May 2026 for 54,337 Elantra Hybrid vehicles for the same HPCU MOSFET overheating defect producing identical warning messages and symptoms. The Palisade Hybrid uses the same Hyundai Mobis-supplied HPCU platform. The fix exists, the dealer is ready to apply it, and Hyundai Techline authorization is the only thing preventing resolution.

Newest filingsMy new 2027 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid experienced a hybrid-system/power-supply malfunction with fewer than 500 miles. The Hyundai dealer diagnosed DTC P0C381C on August 28, 2026 and has retained the vehicle since that date. Hyundai Motor America has issued Limited Coverage Campaign LA39, titled “HPCU Warning Light On – HPCU Software Update – DTC P0C381C.” However, Hyundai's communication states that LA39 is currently for impacted dealer-stock vehicles only. It states that already-retail vehicles must wait for a separate campaign that is “pending review/approval” and that those customers should be placed in alternative transportation. I am concerned that Hyundai is presently correcting affected unsold inventory while vehicles already sold to consumers that actually experience P0C381C remain unrepaired pending approval of a separate retail campaign.
"Stop vehicle and check power supply" warning lights accompanied and panic alarm goes off on new 2027 palisade hybrid calligraphy with 72 miles. The passenger rear brake grabs much more than the others which you can barely feel. Johnson Hyundia of Apex,NC, where we purchased the vehicle tell us not to bother bringing it to them because unless it has a fault code or constant message, they can't do anything. Hyundia corporate gave me a case number but acted like they never heard of it happening to anyone else. Reddit posts have at least 20 other cases of this same thing happening to new hybrid vehicles.
