The very first time I used the wiper fluid spray, it sprays too late, when the wipers are vertical. I have had the vehicle 1 month and it has 1000 miles on it. This will be extremely dangerous during winter when I can't get road spray off the windshield. I will be calling the dealership tomorrow. I noticed this just trying to get bug splats off the windshield. The washer fluid system is useless in my opinion.

I am experiencing recurring problems with the infotainment system, GPS navigation, and Apple CarPlay in my 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid. Apple CarPlay connects to the vehicle, but the navigation/GPS does not consistently display or function correctly. I have experienced the problem using both wireless Apple CarPlay and a wired connection and also different phones but with same problem. The infotainment display has also experienced abnormal behavior, including the screen becoming black or failing to properly display the navigation information. I have restarted the system and tested different connection methods, but the problem continues to occur. More concerningly, on several occasions the GPS has provided incorrect navigation instructions, including directing me to make turns onto streets where I would have been traveling in the wrong direction. This has created dangerous situations while driving. On at least two occasions, I nearly had an accident as a result of following or reacting to these incorrect GPS directions. I am very concerned that this malfunction could create a serious safety hazard for me and other drivers if it continues. I am reporting this issue because I have found other owners of 2026 Honda CR-V vehicles reporting similar GPS, Apple CarPlay, infotainment, and black-screen problems. I believe this issue should be investigated to determine whether there is a software or hardware defect affecting the infotainment/GPS system in the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid. I am parti

I am writing to formally log a product quality and safety complaint regarding my 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The Low-Speed Braking Control system frequently triggers severe, abrupt false-positive braking events in common driving environments, such as steep driveways, when recreational bike rack is attached and areas with minor vegetation. While the software allows the driver to disable this feature within the Driver Information Interface, the vehicle overrides driver autonomy by automatically resetting the system to "ON" every time the ignition is cycled.Forcing a driver to navigate multiple digital menus before every single trip to disable a system prone to false-positives is an ergonomic hazard. Unexpected, automated slam-braking while trying to merge or back into live traffic creates a distinct risk of a rear-end collision.Other major manufacturers (such as Toyota with PKSB) successfully balance safety compliance and driver utility by allowing user settings to persist after a restart, using a standard dashboard warning light instead.I request that Honda release a future software update to allow the Low-Speed Braking Control system configuration to remain in the user's last selected state (ON or OFF) between drive cycles. Please log this issue under my VIN in your corporate quality tracking database. This has reached a level of safety concern for me to consider trading in for a vehicle that allows safe functionality in a practical manner. This is not a feature for outdoor user o

I started the car, put it in reverse, and started backing out of the driveway (car was moving fine). When I went to turn the wheel, it was locked. I could not steer. I hit the brakes, tried the wheel more (wouldn't move), so I put the car in park. Still couldn't move the wheel, so I turned the car off and started it again. The wheel worked / moved fine after that.
We recently purchased a 2026 Honda CRV LX and the rear window has shattered without cause twice. The dealership has replaced it twice, but now says they’re closing the report and calling it an environmental issue. We have two other brand new cars on our property with no environmental issues. They are refusing to continue to keep this case open until resolved. If it should happen again, we are going to be forced to get a lawyer.
The windshield washer fluid does not dispense until the wipers are in a directly up position, spraying the fluid either onto the side windows or off the side of the car when in motion. Fluid does not reach the passenger side at all when the car is in motion and the fluid is sprayed. What little bit does get on the driver side will not even remove overspray from semis or anything else that gets on your windshield while in motion. Huge safety issue.
Explosive ear piercing crackling sound coming through all speakers even when entertainment turned off. Also when parking sensors/safety sensors are alarming. The noise is something I have never experienced. Turned car off then on and happened again. Car is not driveabke when explosive sound is happening. Is not a constant noise. It’s periodic
The driver-side frontal airbag/restraint system may have failed to operate during a collision involving a significant impact to the front driver’s side of my 2026 Honda CR-V. The vehicle was declared a total loss, but the driver’s airbag did not deploy. The seat belt locked and appeared to function properly. The insurance company has already taken possession of the vehicle, so its present availability for inspection is UNKNOWN. My safety was put at risk because the driver’s airbag did not provide additional protection during the impact. Following the accident, I experienced a concussion, dizziness/vertigo, and neck, shoulder, and back pain. The issue has not been reproduced or formally confirmed by a Honda dealer or an independent service center. I notified Honda that the airbag did not deploy, but Honda did not inspect the vehicle. No police officer, insurance representative, collision center, or other qualified person gave me an explanation or confirmed whether the airbag should have deployed. The vehicle was inspected by insurance representatives for the total-loss claim, but, to my knowledge, the airbag system itself was not specifically inspected. Whether any airbag or SRS warning lamp or message appeared before the collision is UNKNOWN. I do not recall receiving an airbag warning before the accident. The exact cause of the non-deployment is UNKNOWN and requires inspection of the vehicle, crash data, sensors, and airbag control system.
Honda claims system design is problem and works properly so nothing they will do. ISSUE : when activating windshield washer spray(wiper mounted nozzles), liquid doesn't spray till passenger wiper is straight up, and driver wiper sprays also straight up, hitting door post. NO FLUID gets on whole passenger half of window. This is hazard as debris can't be washed for clear view on half the windshield. Honda says it's normal, and doesn't attempt to do any fix. It is not normal, poor design by going to wiper mounted nozzles.
While connected to infotainment system with Bluetooth or cable the system reboots or freezes up to 6 times In An 1 hour drive. Issues for safety include if using phone the system disconnects phone call. Honda is trying to fix but they tell me if they cannot duplicate they cannot fix problem. Honda of Denton. I bought in April 2026 with 10 miles on car. Now have over 10000 miles. I told them and Honda corporation that I cannot bring my car in every day.
I am writing to formally request that Honda investigate and acknowledge a significant security and safety concern regarding the front radar module used on certain Honda vehicles equipped with Honda Sensing. The front radar module appears to be easily accessible from the front of the vehicle and can reportedly be removed by a thief in a matter of seconds without requiring specialized tools. Because of its location and lack of adequate theft protection, it has become an attractive target for theft. The theft of this component is more than a financial inconvenience. Once the radar module is removed, critical driver-assistance and safety features—including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning, and other Honda Sensing functions—may become unavailable until the sensor is replaced and professionally calibrated. This can leave owners without important safety technologies they relied upon when purchasing the vehicle. I respectfully ask Honda to investigate this issue, acknowledge the vulnerability, and consider implementing a remedy for affected vehicles. Possible solutions could include an improved anti-theft mounting system, a redesigned sensor location, or other security enhancements that make unauthorized removal significantly more difficult. As Honda owners, we should be able to feel confident leaving our vehicles parked without worrying that a critical safety component can be stolen in seconds. Beyond the financ

Honda CRV was parked on the driveway with a little bit of downward slope. The car was started cold in the afternoon in summer time, the gear was shifted to R (reverse). We could see the backview in camera which confirms that the car was in R mode. It move ahead and did not stop. Despite giving acceleration, car keeps moving forward. The remedy for now is to stop the car, open the door, close the door, restart the car and the problem goes away. This has happened twice. We took it to the Honda dealership and the technician did not find any issue which is surprising. We expect Honda to look at the issue in detail, find the root cause and fix.
Brand new car, 2026. Rear window explodes for no reason. It has happened twice and is a hazard for me to drive. They are only replacing the glass and not doing further inspections and refuse to replace it again if it happens again. I am fearful to drive it as the glass may explode while I’m driving.
After having my car for a month I noticed the steering wheel making a cracking noise when turning going down a parking garage. It made this sound when turning both left and right along with suddenly making it hard to turn the wheel in certain angles. The vehicle was taken to service where I was told that it was normal to happen but would still inspect it, the steering wheel clock spring was replaced but the problem persisted. No warning lamps or messages appeared. Steering wheel every so often makes the sound.
The contact owns a 2026 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle ran over a small wooden plank in the roadway, and the plank became wedged between the front passenger’s door and the body seal. The contact inspected the vehicle and became aware of a uniform one-inch gap between the body panel and each door on the vehicle. The gap was insulated by a plastic foam sealant. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was determined to be the driver’s error. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,000.

I am submitting this complaint regarding Honda’s unreasonable delay in completing a safety recall on my vehicle. I purchased three brand-new Honda vehicles because I trusted Honda’s reputation for quality and safety. Unfortunately, all three vehicles became subject to safety recalls. I have made every reasonable effort to resolve this issue. I personally visited 7 to 8 Honda dealerships throughout [XXX] and [XXX] and contacted Honda America Customer Relations multiple times. As a result of those communications, Honda arranged a recall part for one of my vehicles, and the repair was completed at Ball Honda. However, my vehicle with VIN [XXX] remains unrepaired because the required recall part has still not been provided. My vehicle has been unusable for approximately one and a half months. This vehicle is essential for my business. Because it is subject to an active safety recall, I cannot responsibly use it or allow my employees to operate it until the recall is repaired. As a result of Honda’s delay, I have suffered significant financial losses, including: Continuing to make monthly loan payments on a vehicle I cannot use. Paying out of pocket to rent replacement vehicles. Losing business income and opportunities. Business disruption caused by the prolonged delay. I believe Honda has failed to remedy this safety recall within a reasonable period of time. I respectfully request that NHTSA review Honda’s handling of this recall and the prolonged delay in providing the necessar
Washer for windshield does not clean windshield. Had to pull of highway to manually clean windshield so I could continue to drive. HONDA of Denton told me that washer is normal. New style for CRV.
We were pulling into a parking space and were almost completely stopped. Suddenly the gas engine revved and we jumped the curb and crashed through the glass front of the restaurant we had ordered food from. as it lurched forward my wife was pressing on the brake yelling it won't stop! The engined revved without any pedal usage. The automatic braking system did not function. Called the dealer and of course they have never heard of such a thing. I talked with the dealer adn they recommended going ahead with the body repairs and then take it to a Honda dealer to run a diagnostic to see if any abnormalities show up. There were no warning signals at all. It happened so quickly. The car ended up going completely through the glass fron and when it stopped it had hit the cashier counter and was completely inside the restuarant. We are so thankful there were no patrons eating in the restaurant at the time.
Driver side mirror shakes at highway speeds. Not the outside but the mirror itself. It’s been replaced twice and still does it.
Vehicle Information: 2026 Honda CR-V Sport HybridComponent: Power Train / Hydraulic Brakes / Electronic Stability ControlDescription of Incident:On [Date], my 2026 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid was parked facing uphill on a steep incline. I started the vehicle, depressed the brake pedal, released the electronic parking brake, and shifted into Drive. Upon transitioning to the accelerator, the vehicle failed to hold its position. It immediately and rapidly rolled backward down the incline, completely overriding the Hill Start Assist (HSA) mechanism. Despite accelerator input, the hybrid powertrain failed to deliver the instantaneous forward torque required to counter gravity. The vehicle gained rearward momentum and collided with a closed gate.Safety Justification:This un-commanded rollback presents a severe, systemic safety hazard. Research into hybrid consumer data reveals a documented pattern of drivers being blindsided by the lack of traditional automatic transmission "idle-creep" torque on inclines, combined with counter-intuitive electronic HSA deactivation thresholds. The vehicle’s software logic fails to safely manage dual-pedal inputs during hill starts, creating an unreasonable risk of rollback collisions.
I am filing a formal complaint regarding Recall 26V-366 for my 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid (VIN: [XXX]). I have been waiting for more than three weeks for the required recall part. Honda has informed me that the part is still on backorder and that no one can provide an estimated delivery or repair date. I have been told that the part is not available in California. I rely on this vehicle for my daily work and income. Because Honda cannot provide the required recall part within a reasonable time, I am suffering significant financial losses every day. While I understand that recalls are sometimes necessary, it is unacceptable for a manufacturer to issue a safety recall without ensuring that repair parts are available. Customers should not be left waiting indefinitely without a solution. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate Honda’s handling of Recall 26V-366, including the prolonged lack of available parts and the absence of any repair timeline. I also request that Honda be required to provide affected customers with a prompt and reasonable remedy. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Windshield wipers have built-in sprayers that only actuate when the wiper is in the vertical position, resulting in wiper fluid not being dispersed in field of vision, preventing cleaning of the windshield and significantly impairing vision while driving. Honda maintains this is proper operation.
Windshield cracked without any trauma being done to cause it to crack. This is the second Honda CRV windshield to crack spontaneously
The windshield washer system on this 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport-L does not function as designed. The washer fluid is released from the wiper-mounted nozzles only when the wiper blade reaches the near-vertical (upright) position, rather than distributing fluid across the windshield during the full wiper stroke. As a result, the majority of the fluid is dispersed laterally onto the driver-side and passenger-side windows rather than onto the windshield surface. This was first noticed during an initial road trip when the wipers failed to adequately clear insect debris from the windshield. The suspected cause is a check valve failure in the washer fluid delivery line. Without a functioning check valve, fluid drains back to the reservoir between wash cycles. When a wash cycle is initiated, the fluid must travel the full length of the line before reaching the wiper nozzles, arriving only after the blade has already completed most of its stroke. This results in poor windshield cleaning coverage and wasted washer fluid primarily on the driver-side exterior of the vehicle. This condition reduces forward visibility, which poses a safety risk — particularly at highway speeds when rapid windshield clearing is necessary to maintain a clear field of view.
Driving in the rain on the interstate and during acceleration, engine just lost all power. Recovered within 2-4 minutes. After 1 hour of driving, it repeated again. Hard rain conditions. Engine lost all power and wanted to die. I had my family with me and the first incident was merging onto [XXX] with a semi truck quickly closing onto me. Fortunately, he saw I was having issues and slowed down and gave me room. Then when it happened again, pouring rain, night time conditions and the dash lights were flickering and engine was just bogging down during any acceleration. Nursed it to a well lit gas station. Turned off and when re-started- no further issues but drove with the CEL on for well over an hour. Took to Jefferies Honda in Roseville, Michigan where they charged me $200 just to diagnose the issue, even though the vehicle is still under warranty. Provided a printout of the "results" from the computer but it only is of the "Live Data"- not the recorded data. Not only that but I suspect they never really checked as the mileage listed on that page does not match the mileage on their report. I suspect my vehicle is about to come out of warrenty so easy to state "no faults found" even though we almost caused multiple accidents every time the engine was failing on the interstate. Check-engine lamp flashed and went off and then eventually came on solid for well over an hour so I know data exists but I suspect Jeffries deleted it when they stated "no faults found"- impossible. I found a part under my brakes while driving and it prevented me from getting brakes. It went under the brakes pedal.
While driving on a country road with a string of telephone poles on the side, the vehicle lane keeping assist appeared to attempt to follow the shadow of the telephone wires on the road. The shadow was curved by the natural droop of the telephone wires, causing the vehicle to try to swerve to follow the curve of the wire. One time it tried to swerve into oncoming traffic, and another time off the road. There were two incidents in about 5 minutes, so we shut off the system to prevent an accident. It was a clear sunny day, and the road was well paved and marked with white and yellow lines. We have only had the car a few weeks, but this is the first time we have observed this behavior.
My dealer cancelled my appointment because it doesn’t have required parts. They say waiting time can be more than two months, and don’t provide a loaner or replacement car. The other dealers said waiting time is 2 months. When I call the manufacturer to solve this issue they said to call the dealer. I believe the manufacturer is failing to remedy this safety recall within a reasonable time and is leaving consumers without a safe alternative. I am requesting a formal investigation and warranty review regarding the sunroof glass on my 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD. The vehicle was purchased new, and within approximately the first week of ownership I discovered stress fractures and cracking in the sunroof glass while the vehicle was being driven and maintained under normal conditions. The vehicle has not been involved in any accident, collision, rollover, vandalism incident, or known impact event that would reasonably explain the damage. To the best of my knowledge, no object struck the glass, and there was no unusual noise or event that would indicate an external cause. The cracking appeared unexpectedly and seemed more consistent with stress-related failure than obvious impact damage. Shortly after discovering the issue, my wife contacted the selling dealership to report the concern. During that conversation, she was informed that sunroof glass replacement would not be covered. Given that the damage appeared almost immediately after delivery, we were disappointed by that response and believe the matter deserves a more thorough evaluation. My family has owned several Honda vehicles over the years and has remained loyal to the brand because of its reputation for quality, reliability, and engineering excellence. In comparing this vehicle to previous Hondas we have owned, the sunroof glass appears noticeably thinner and less substantial. While I understand modern vehicles are designed with weight reduction and efficiency i
Someone stole my radar sensors that is located behind the front Honda emblem. My car still drives but critical security features are disabled. It's not covered under warranty and when I asked Honda if they can put something in to protect the sensor from being stolen again they said they don't have anything. I am scared to park my car anywhere . The part is so easy to steal even a child can do it!!!
I am filing a safety complaint regarding my new Honda CR-V which is 6 months old. Water seeped into my parked and closed vehicle, and after that I experienced multiple hazard warning lights on the dashboard while driving on XX, which caused panic and concern for safety. The next day, the vehicle became unresponsive and the battery went dead. This was alarming because the warning lights appeared during highway driving, where a sudden electrical or system failure could create a crash risk. The vehicle had been parked and closed when the water intrusion occurred, so I am concerned there may be a defect related to water sealing, electrical systems, or battery failure. The dealer confirmed that the seal was broken and might have been a manufacturing defect. This caused water seepage. But they were not sure if the water seepage was related to battery giving electrical warnings and going dead. This uncertainty caused more insecurity as we do not know the reason for battery failure exactly when water leaked into the vehicle. Please investigate whether this issue is related to a safety defect. I request that this complaint be reviewed for any pattern involving water intrusion, dashboard warnings, electrical failure, or battery drain in this model. Vehicle information: Year: 2026 Make: Honda Model: CR-V VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 3166 mi Date of incident: 05-24-2026 Location of incident: [XXX] Additional details: Water seeped into the vehicle while it was parked and closed. The vehicle has difficulty maintaining straight tracking. The vehicle drifts noticeably at highway speeds. I have had it to the dealer twice. Once, the Service Manager did a road test with me. He stated it had tight steering but no solution.
Wipers do not spray correctly and it causes them to not property clear windshield and to cause pooling of washer fluid or other items which significantly limits driver visibility
The washer fluid doesn't come out until the woolies have gone completely across the dry windshield and then throws the water off the side of the car. The water comes out once the wiper is straight up. The dealer says it's working because water comes out even though it doesn't come out until it's anyway gone across the window.i had mud on my windshield from a truck in front of me and when I tried to wash it the mud just smeared on my window. My research on it said it's just a $5 fix with a valve that closes and allows the water to stay on the line but they won't even listen to me. Posted a video on Facebook and half the people say theirs is broken like mine and others say theirs works properly not like mine. So there's clearly a difference.
My brand new 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport-L experienced sudden significant power loss while operating on highway around 300 or so miles. Dashboard displayed warning: 'Emissions system problem — power may be reduced — see your dealer.' I had to immediately get off the highway and very slowly drive back home and then took it to the dealer as soon as their service dept. opened after that. Vehicle subsequently diagnosed at David McDavid Honda Irving with fuel injector failure requiring complete replacement under warranty. Highway power loss on a brand new vehicle at 300+ miles represents a serious safety hazard. Vehicle has been at dealer since May 26, 2026 for warranty repairs and even after 9 days they have not been able to resolve the issue and i am still waiting to pick up my car. Honda Corporate Case opened.
My wife and daughter which I was driving on [XXX] stated they here a noise it was raining i thought in was the rain hitting the sunroof It was making a rattling noise. While driving at highway speeds, the factory sunroof glass panel of my brand-new Honda CRV spontaneously exploded outward with a loud bang, sounding like a gunshot. There were no vehicles directly ahead of me and no overpasses nearby. The sudden explosion caused immediate driver distraction and threw glass fragments, presenting a severe safety hazard at high speed. There were no warning indicators, physical symptoms, or unusual noises prior to the sudden failure. The vehicle was subsequently brought to an authorized Honda inspector (Farrish Auto Body) for a technical teardown and inspection. The certified estimator formally determined and documented that there was absolutely no evidence of an external impact point, rock strike, or road debris damage, confirming a spontaneous structural glass failure due to a manufacturing or assembly defect. The vehicle is currently un-drivable due to the missing roof panel and structural hazard, and the manufacturer (American Honda Corporate Case open) and purchasing dealership (DARCARS Honda of Fairfax) have delayed providing a resolution or safe temporary transportation. The component and the vehicle remain available for further official inspection.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
