Always driving east my cruise control, lane keeping assist and other safety systems stop working. Cars behind me are not aware of my sudden slow down. The alert said to clean the plastic H in the grill. I have been to two Honda dealers and the problem persists. Honda corporate in California calls it radar blindness. Aware of problem but no fix. I feel it is sun reflection off of the plastic H in the grill as it’s always clean and only happens when I drive east bound. I didn’t realize I was buying a problem when I bought my CRV. Please help

The contact was driving , experienced tire pressure and check engine light illuminated. white Smoke was seen underneath the vehicle and then it turned black. Then fire was seen coming from underneath the vehicle. The contact pulled over to the shoulder of the vehicle , and smoke and fire was seen underneath the vehicle. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was consumed by the fire. The vehicle was towed to a tow and recovery lot. No injuries were sustained. The dealer was notified of the failure. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was
Enter the parking spot and vehicle accelerated, hitting a building and a tree.
Driver's side mirror has a distorted view and vibrating, most noticable at highway speeds, especially at night. Took it to a dealership and they were not able to recreate the problem both times it was taken to them. This puts my safety and the safety of others at risk as the mirror has a distorted view, making it extremely difficult (nearly impossible) to accurately judge if a car is in the lane next to me when I wish to change lanes.
[XXX] is the VIN. AIRBAGS DID NIT DEPLOY I was driving 77 mph on i80 near [XXX] . Another vehicle, a Chevy Malibu, left the left lane of traffic and drove on the median. This driver over corrected when her speed was 83 mph. I hit her broadside (Tbone) in the b pillar dead center on the my front of my CRV. My airbags did not deploy. I received a broken sternum from hitting the steering wheel. USAA did not investigate, just saw the photos and totalled the CRV. The Chevy Malibu had all the airbags deploy. The contact's son owned a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while her son was driving on the parkway at approximately 40 MPH, a loud, booming sound emit from the vehicle. After the booming sound emitting from the vehicle, several warning lights appeared on the instrument panel as the vehicle caught fire. Due to the sudden failure, the vehicle caught fire and the authorities were called to the scene. Once the fire department arrived at the scene the fire was extinguished. No injuries or property damage were reported. A police and fire report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent body shop where it was deemed a total loss as the vehicle was incinerated as a result of the fire. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and the contact was given a case number by the manufacturer. The vehicle was destroyed as a result of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,850
My car has under 6,000 mi on it. I bought it new and it has had this problem from the start. The TPMS alarms time after time. I go through all the routine of checking the tires and resetting the alarm system as per the manual. It might stay off for 10 mi or for 100 mi, but for sure it will come back on, and when the tires are checked, they are OK. So I reset it again and repeat the process. I have taken it to the dealer 5 times for this issue and have another appointment scheduled for next week. Twice they just reset it without checking me into the service dept. 3 times they checked it into the shop and worked on it. They called the Honda corp and ask them what to do, and were told to balance the tires. That actually worked for a while, but the problem just came back. When the monitoring system goes off, we don't know if it is for real or not. We won't leave town with the car because of that. If we disregard the alarm, it might be that we actually have a low or flat time and could have an accident or even be killed. I virtually won't leave town with the car because I don't know when or if it is giving me good information, and also.... EVERY time it happened, I MUST stop and check all the tires air pressure and then reset the system. I think that this is a dangerous issue.
My passenger side rear tire exploded off of the vehicle as I was driving 75mph down XXX. I was fortunate to be able to bring the car under control and get it out of the path of traffic. I could have been killed by this tire failure and loss of control. I had the vehicle towed to the Honda dealership in [XXX] . They told me I must have hit something. I absolutely did not hit anything that day or any other day. It was a clear, dry, sunny day. I was not in any road construction, and there was no debris on road. In addition the tire pressure warning light did not come on either before or after the tire exploded. I believe this was a failure as well. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not on my car. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The only inspection was by the dealer at the time of repair. COMPONENTS: Forward Collision Avoidance, Lane Keeping Support, Electronic Power Steering. INCIDENT: On 05/12/2026, upon vehicle startup, a total failure of the driver-assist safety suite occurred. Dashboard indicators displayed malfunctions for: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKAS), and a "Steering Wheel Malfunction" warning. The vehicle was inspected at Greeley Honda on the same day (Mileage: ~56k). The dealership confirmed the front radar sensor, located behind the emblem, is defective. Despite no evidence of external impact or damage, the dealership quoted $3,900 for a total replacement of the grille, emblem, and sensor. SAFETY RISK: The failure has completely disabled the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), removing the vehicle's ability to provide emergency autonomous braking. The accompanying "Steering Wheel Malfunction" indicates an error in the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) torque sensor or LKAS integration, which creates a risk of unpredictable steering assistance. These failures, combined with a cascade of distracting warning lights, pose an unreasonable safety risk during operation. REMEDY SOUGHT: The dealership failed to explain the internal cause of failure or why a cosmetic grille replacement is required to fix a safety sensor. I am seeking a manufacturing investigation. American Honda has not offered a remedy for this critical safety component failure. This appears to be a premature failure of

The vehicle was previously taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with an issue related to NHTSA Campaign Number 24V744000 (Steering). The contact stated the issue persisted. The dealer was contacted again that the issue had reoccurred but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.
While driving to store for errands today, 09May26, I came to a stop at a red light with intent to turn right next. I turned on my right blinker and turned a bit to the right and rolled forward to gain visibility to my left as I came to a complete stop. There was a car coming from the left that was preparing to turn left. I observed that car turn on its left blinker, and slow down while entering its turn. I confirmed the intersection was clear and there was nothing in front of me. I applied the gas, then looked left to confirm the other car was completing its left turn. While I was slowly accelerating, but before my eyes returned to the road ahead of me, the accident avoidance system sounded an audible alarm, I think I recall seeing an orange dash warning, and the system seemed to simultaneously trigger a hard brake apply. This was akin to a panic stop. I knew there was a truck approaching behind me. Although a bit stunned and dazed, I recovered as quickly as I could, and continued to complete my right turn to make sure that vehicle did not collide with me. The hard brake apply was so sudden, my head and body pitched forward (as much as permitted by the seat belt). After returning home, I realized my right shoulder was sore, presumably from the brake apply. I worry that this system could trigger the brakes like this at a much higher speed, in a turn, or with my children driving the car (they are just [XXX] and [XXX] old). I have since reached out to the dealership that I purch
On 3/17/26, my husband and I started heading N on RT 83 to a medical appointment in our 2025 Honda CR-V Touring Sport. We were doing between 40 to 50 miles/hr. Twenty minutes later, we smelled faint smoke which was attributed to the trucks driving around us. Upon exit to our next route we immediately came to a red light and stopped and found heavy dark smoke coming from inside the front of our hood. We slowly moved to the R lane to get to a strip parking lot to move vehicle to a safe spot. When we finally found a safe parking a vehicle stopped to alert us of a noticeable fire at the bottom front of the Honda. We jumped out and 911 was called. By the time Police, followed by the Fire Dept, the front of my CR-V was engulfed by fire. I had just purchased this 2025 Touring Sport from Carmax 6 months earlier and it had just 7091 miles to it. My insurance and Honda were notified and claim and case #s were filed. Insurance offered a settlement but no word yet from Honda. Inspections were performed by both. Insurance inspectors report it as potential mechanical failure. Honda should offer reparations for the loss of my vehicle and placing our lives and those around us in danger.
The panoramic sunroof glass on my 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid spontaneously shattered while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied in an indoor garage for approximately one week. There was no external impact, airborne object, or temperature extreme involved. The vehicle is stored in a covered underground parking structure. The glass shattered inward, with fragments falling onto the driver seat, passenger seat, center console, and floor. The sunroof frame shows no signs of external force or impact point. The vehicle had approximately 5,194 miles at the time of discovery. No warning lamps or prior symptoms appeared before the failure. The component is available for inspection. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer representative, though I intend to bring it to a Honda dealership. This issue poses a significant safety risk, as spontaneous shattering of glass over an occupied cabin could cause injury to passengers. I am aware of a class action lawsuit (Tappana v. American Honda Motor Co., Case No. 2:21-cv-09046) alleging Honda has known about this sunroof defect since 1995.
I am reporting a potential safety recall violation by Honda Mall of Georgia (3699 Buford Dr, Buford, GA 30519). My vehicle experienced engine noise, vibration, and warning indicators, which the dealership attributed to 'fuel contamination' to deny warranty coverage (attached), and charged approximately $3,392.99 for repairs. However, I have a certified laboratory analysis (attached) from the Georgia Department of Agriculture confirming the fuel met all state quality standards and had no contamination at Costco Gas. Costco also provided supporting document (attached) that there was no contamination and there were no other customers reporting such issue. The vehicle required a second repair (attached) for the engine issue immediately after the first, further proving the failure was not 'bad fuel' related. Despite my state-certified proof, the dealer refuses to provide any documentation for their claim of 'bad fuel.' I believe the dealership has intentionally misdiagnosed a known defect covered under Federal Safety Recall 24V-763 / QK8 (cracked high-pressure fuel pump) to avoid performing a free recall repair.

Date of Accident: April 13, 2026 I drove into our church parking lot and then parked next to my husband’s car and was totally stopped and in the parking space. I thought I had my foot on the brake. After a split second, it accelerated and jumped the curb of the parking space at a very fast speed. I had no control of the car. I sheared off a heavy metal sidewalk railing and was headed for the brick church (church is on a berm above parking lot), but I managed to steer away to miss the church and a large tree. I steered off the berm and into empty parking lot – still traveling at high speed. I finally threw it into neutral to get it to stop because it was continuing toward a busy street with lots of traffic. Neutral stopped it. No air bags deployed. The front and side of the car that hit the metal railing sustained $6,500 damage. Towed it to collision repair. When we asked at the Columbia, MO, Honda dealer’s service department, they said because the air bags didn’t deploy, that it was probably operator’s error and nothing they could do. We didn’t feel that it was operator error and reported to the assistant General Manager of Honda in a personal meeting. We asked to have the Honda field engineer exam the car. Instead, they had their district service supervisor exam the car. Their conclusion: they could find nothing wrong with the car. After reading online reports of almost identical accidents with this model, we decided it was too dangerous to drive and sold it back to the Hond
At highway speed, the steering has ratcheting feel. Move it by 0.5 degree, and it tries to boost the move by 1 degree or 2. At parking lot speed, when the steering is turned to dead ends, the stepped boost is also noticeable. This is likely related to the "sticky steering" recall (NHTSA 24V-744). The problem still persists for vehicles manufactured after the end date of the recall
The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the hood was fluttering. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while exceeding 50 MPH and was more significant whenever a semi-truck drove by the vehicle on a two-lane road. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the bracing underneath the hood was reglued, the hood latch was adjusted, and the elevation of the rubber bumpers underneath the hood was modified; however, the failure worsened. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 800.
STEERING: 2025 Honda CRV steering became "sticky" when veering left, making it difficult to maneuver back to center and the steering could feel a bit jumpy. There were also faint clicks when driving in circles to the left. The VIN was not listed under the current recall number 24V-744 so we brought it to the dealer to see if it was under warranty. The sticky steering only happens after driving the car for a little while, so we weren't able to replicate it for the dealer 12 miles away. However, they took a look at the steering components and told us that it was a "fluke" that the car had made it through assembly inspections because it should have failed and never been sold. We had the car safety checked before leaving for a trip where we'd be driving along steep, winding cliffs with sharp switchbacks and they said we were in good shape. Now they were telling us we were "lucky we didn't hit a pothole" and make it even worse and careen off a cliff. We put about 10k miles on that trip not knowing the danger we were in the whole time. They claim they fixed it by installing a brand new Honda Power Steering Rack, part number 53620-3A0-A33. We've heard that others just end up with the same issues in another 5-7k miles, so we're not feeling confident. AUTOMATIC SAFETY BREAKING: We get several phantom warning alarms and flashing, full screen messages telling us to "BRAKE!" while driving when nothing is there. Usually when there's any kind of flickering sunlight or sunlight through tree
The component affected is the passenger side mirror. The plastic cap over the mirror spontaneously cracked. It sounded like my CRV was hit by a rock. I looked over and my mirror was folded into the vehicle. The mirror works, it is not cracked and the movement via the driver side buttons works. Upon stopping and looking, the plastic was broken from the bottom around the interior of the cap. Exterior plastic piece was left. I used black duct tape to keep the remaining pieces together. No warning signs. Pieces of plastic flew off the mirror into the roadway where cars were parked and people would be standing. My CRV is going in for an inspection on 4/2/2026.
Started with what sounds like a pump running after car shut down then today whole garage smelled like gasoline.
I was involved in an accident which resulted in my C-RV being totaled. Another vehicle pulled out immediately in front of me and I crashed into it. None of my airbags deployed. My vehicle's emergency response system was activated- it called emergency response and kept repeating that a crash had been detected. The front of my car was crushed in and the impact sent the vehicle that pulled out in front of me, a Toyota 4Runner, doing a full roll and ending up on its side. Clearly, the airbags should have activated. I purchased the CR-V new, was the only owner, the vehicle had less than 5,000 miles on it, had never been in an accident, and there were no warning lights or messages indicating any problem with the airbag system prior to the accident. The car was deemed a total loss by my insurance company.
2025 Honda CRV "sticky steering"worm gear spring just started in my car and getting worse. I read about a recall and haven't received my notice.
Wipers intermittently travel different distances and strike the A-pillar. The dealer could not reproduce, but you have video evidence. With temperature in mid 20sF, defrost system would not clear drivers side windshield. With freezing rain i had to stop and clear windshield multiple times. Inability of defrost system design to clear created a driving hazard. Service rep at dealer stated Honda design for defrost was not symmetrical ie drivers side was not focused the same as passenger side.
Unknown: Steering is stiff. Minor changes like maintaining lanes or changing lanes is becoming increasingly difficult. Large motions are fluid. It feels like it’s sticky. When I change lanes or other minor changes it takes a lot of work to move the car back to its original position. Having issues where it gets caught in certain positions causing significant steering issues.
My 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid seems to randomly accelerate on its own. This has happened at least 4 or 5 times over the past year. At first I thought I was imagining it but then I noticed it happened again, multiple times. Each time I was NOT pressing the gas pedal nor at any time was I using cruise control. I never use the cruise control. The vehicle seems to accelerate on its on for about 3-4 seconds then stops when I press the break. Clearly uncontrollable and unexpected acceleration of the vehicle puts me, my passengers and others are at risk. I called my local Honda Dealer Service Department and was told that unless I can recreate the random and spontaneous acceleration at the dealership then they won't be able to diagnosis or write for the issue. The Honda Service Rep said sense I have no idea when it is going to happen again he cannot set a appointment for me to come in without having a current issue. Because the acceleration is random and because I cannot recreate it at will, the problem has NOT been confirmed by a dealer or service center and the vehicle has not been inspected. The acceleration issue is random and spontaneous with no warning lamps, no messages and no other symptoms prior to. Once it stops it may no happen again for weeks or months. However as mentioned about it has happened at least 4 to 5 times within the past year with the most recent occurrence on March 6th 2026 ----End-----
I have excessive wear on the inside edges of the rear tires on this vehicle. Which is a negative camber issue.
The steering feels notchy on the highway and if is difficult to make small steering corrections
2025 Honda CRV Hybrid windshield wiper fluid does not spray. Instead the fluid is dribbled on to the sides of the front windshield but does not clean the majority of the windshield that you need to navigate with. This new design is highly INEFFECTIVE in cleaning window of dirt, bugs, grime, etc., and makes seeing clearly while driving very difficult and UNSAFE. Even after initiating the windshield wiper "spray" numerous times in a row, the window was left dirty and difficult to see through. Terrible, unsafe, design.
The clock spring assembly makes a noise whenever I turn the steering - this was once fixed through replacement by long beach honda and a couple of months later the issue came up again. Now, the dealer says Honda should be addressing it. The issue today till exists on vehicle and Honda refuses to take any action which is very weird as many users on online threads report the same issue. I am not sure if this might be related to the recall number (24V744000) but my car shows no open recalls. Long Beach Honda confirmed the issue and replaced the part once, but the issue came up again after a couple of months itself. see this thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/crv/s/vGOzgTLDNO
After driving in snowy or icy conditions, per JL Freed Honda Dealership in Montgomeryville, PA, snow/ice accumulates in drive axel. This causes loud noise when accelerating, and when braking. This happened twice this winter.
Vehicle: 2025 Honda CRV HYBRID SPORTS TOURING VIN: [XXX] The vehicle is subject to an active recall involving the high-pressure fuel pump, which may leak fuel and create a fire hazard. Dispute prior dealer inspections, the during cold starts, abnormal ticking/ knocking noise from the high-pressure fuel pump area. The recall repair was not completed, and the defect remain unresolved. I'm concerned about potential fire risk and safety hazard. The repair didn't fix it. I’m driving a Honda CRV 2025. It recently has an electrical issue. It has happened 3 times. Two while starting up the car that I couldn’t start up the car. And one while I was backing off my car on the driveway, the car was suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. When it happened, dashboard lights were flickering randomly, and there was some electric noise on and off. I have brought the car to the dealer for a diagnostic, but they couldn’t reproduce or find any issue. They even said that they have tested and verified that the car was totally safe to drive. That raised me a safety concern if the car suddenly stop when I’m on freeway at high speed.
Steering wheel noises while turning
When starting the car up and backing out of my garage It sounds like my rotors or brakes are grinding I took it to the dealer, and they told me that that was standard on the 2025 CRV. It is grinding so loud and hard like it is cutting into the rotors. I need someone to take responsibility. My car is only less than one year old.It will be one year on 2/20/2026. This is my seventh c r v and i've never had this problem before.
I purchased this 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid on 11/06/2024 from Tower Honda in Longview, Texas. I purchased the vehicle with the Hankook Kinergy GT tires already on there, and these tires are still on here till this day. On January 19th, 2026, I went in for an oil change, and my service advisor mentioned a tire rotation. Once they were finished with the vehicle he did share with me that I only had 10%-20% tread life left. I only have 32,176 miles on my vehicle, and after researching, the tread life on these tires is 70,000 - 75,000 miles. Their are customers that have, and or having the same problem that I am having. During my research Hankook Tires are known to have premature tread wear, tread separation/sidewall issues, poor longevity, and sometimes difficulty warrant claims. I can't believe dealerships would even allow these type of tires on vehicles knowing that the tread life and value is horrible, but I guess at the end of the day, everyone is trying to make a sale, and safety doesn't matter. I think Hankook Tires better take heed at the complaints, and issues of their tires. These serious issues can turn into legal matters for this company. My tire size is 235/60R18
On December 29, 2025, while pulling into a parking space, my Honda CRV Hybrid unexpectedly accelerated in spite of my foot being firmly on the brake. The unintended acceleration resulted in a collision with the vehicle that was parked in front of my vehicle. The security video footage shows clearly that my brake lights were consistently on during the collision. My braking system clearly did not work. My vehicle collided with the vehicle parked in front of it, moved that vehicle to the side and continued moving forward over a parking lot curb and came to a stop. If someone had been in front of my vehicle, they would have been seriously injured if not dead. There were no warning lights, messages or other symptoms prior to the unintended acceleration. My vehicle has been inspected by the dealer and the manufacturer and they could not reproduce the problem. This is the most concerning aspect of the situation. They want me to take the vehicle back and to continue driving it when there is clearly a problem.
On 02/03/2026 while driving on a flat smooth asphalt highway at 55 miles per hour our sunroof just exploded. We didn't see anything hitting us although we did meet a few oncoming cars and trucks, but none were close when this happened. Luckily we had the inside blind shut so we didn't get covered with glass chips. Neither my wife or myself ever remember opening the sunroof or the inside blind so we don't even know if the sunroof would move of if it was stuck. Called Honda dealership locally to see if there was a recall for this breakage, but they there was none and it would have to turned into our insurance. The new glass is ordered, but we have to keep our 2025 CRV garaged and only driven very short trips. It will take 8 days to get this repaired. We have 15,000 miles on our CRV and about 2/3 of the glass is missing.
My vehicle was involved in a very bad accident and deemed a total loss due to all the front end damage. Serious injuries occurred and none of the air bags deployed.
Having issue with steering clicking and slipping when turning - looked up recall by year make and model and car showed steering gear issue - but the recall did not show up by vin - took the car for maintenance and had them check - they found the car indeed has the steering gear issue and needs to be fixed - I'm concerned about why the car has the issue which shows by make and model but not by vin and also about another recall on fuel pump that also shows for same year make and model but not by vin
I was driving on the highway when my sunroof suddenly shattered out of nowhere. There were no vehicles directly in front of or beside me, and the weather was clear. The sound was extremely loud, sounded like a gunshot and it happened completely out of nowhere. There was no visible impact from rocks or debris. Instead of a small crack, a large hole was left in the sunroof. This appears to have been a spontaneous glass failure and is very concerning from a safety standpoint.
The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the sunroof glass exploded and shattered. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road. The contact was not injured. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and remained pending an inspection. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,988.
At 17,000 miles and 17 months of ownership the car started clattering badly on startup. The check engine light came on as well as an advisory that there might be an emissions problem, and to take the car to the dealer. We had it towed in (inconvenient as we were out of town). The problem was diagnosed as faulty fuel injectors which are being replaced under warranty. We were told this is not an uncommon problem for the 2025 hybrid CR-V.
While driving at 65-75mph down a highway the sunroof glass shattered outward spraying the hood of my vehicle with glass shards. I was fortunate my interior sunroof cover was closed but had it not been glass would have been all over me. Honda inspected and denied the warranty claim. I now have a claim open with a repair shop. They have preliminarily inspected it and it is just glass, nothing wrong with the track. Could have been weak glass.
January 18, 2025 Subject: Request for Review – Windshield Crack on 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid Dear Honda Customer Relations Team, I am writing to respectfully request a review of a windshield issue on my wife’s Subject 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid, which we purchased new in the summer of 2025. The vehicle currently has approximately 16,000 miles. Recently, a crack developed in the windshield measuring roughly four inches in length. The crack originates at the driver-side edge near the frame and began with a very small divot. There is no visible impact crater or evidence of damage from a foreign object. Based on its location and appearance, I believe this may be consistent with an stress-related edge crack rather than road debris. Our local dealership has declined coverage, which I understand may be standard procedure at the dealership level. However, given the vehicle’s age, mileage, and the nature of the crack, I am respectfully requesting that Honda Corporate review this matter for possible warranty consideration or goodwill assistance. My wife and I have been Honda owners for over 20 years. We have consistently chosen Honda vehicles for their quality and reliability, and we have also purchased Honda vehicles for our children, who continue to drive them today. Our loyalty to the Honda brand has always been rooted in trust—trust in engineering, and trust in standing behind the product. I am not seeking special treatment, only a fair review of the circumstances. We value Honda and hope
Car safely parked in driveway was turned on to defrost snow from it (no ice). When completed, drivers side mirror was cracked from corner to corner. No possible impact to the vehicle and had not been moved, so had to be the result of defrosting. Called dealer to schedule appointment for replacement and was told this would not be covered. Owned car for 10 months.
Approximate Mileage on Car: 26500 Make/Model/Trim: Honda CRV Hybrid Sport-L Location: Manheim and Lancaster Counties, Pennsylvania Date of Incident: 1/17/26 Weather: Light snow, under 3", mostly plowed/salted surfaces While driving in light snowy road conditions, the vehicle failed to decelerate appropriately when the brake pedal was firmly applied. The driver was operating the vehicle cautiously and at reduced speeds under 20mph, appropriate for winter conditions. Snow accumulation was less than approximately 3 inches, and the roads were mostly plowed and treated with salt. Despite firm brake application, there was no noticeable ABS pulsing or vibration, and the vehicle continued to slide forward with minimal reduction in speed, right through a stop sign and then again at a 4-way traffic light intersection. Both times, the braking response felt delayed or ineffective, resulting in a significantly extended stopping distance. Steering control while braking was limited, leading to fishtailing and spinning across the road. This did not feel like normal loss of traction or typical ABS engagement. The behavior was unexpected given the relatively moderate road conditions and the cautious driving behavior. No warning lights were immediately displayed during the incident. The experience felt like a loss of effective braking capability in winter conditions, creating a serious safety concern. This condition increases the risk of collision due to the inability to stop the vehicle as exp
I am experiencing a “sticky, notchy” steering issue on my 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid. When the steering wheel is approximately 1–2 degrees off center (either left or right), the steering resists movement and then suddenly jerks when correcting. This makes it difficult to make smooth corrections and maintain a steady lane position. The issue only occurs after driving for about 30–40 minutes, which suggests it may be related to component warm-up or prolonged operation. The problem does not occur during short drives. This issue began about two month ago and now happens consistently once the vehicle has been driven long enough. I brought the vehicle to the dealer, but they were unable to reproduce the issue because their test drive lasted only about four minutes. No diagnostic findings or repairs were performed.
Safety Issue: Absence of Low Windshield Washer Fluid Indicator I am reporting a significant vehicle safety concern involving my 2025 Honda CR-V EX-L, which is not equipped with a low windshield washer fluid level indicator. This omission created a serious safety risk to myself and other motorists during real-world driving conditions. While driving on a Michigan highway during a severe winter storm, I unknowingly ran out of windshield washer fluid. Due to snow, ice, road salt, and grime typical of winter driving in Michigan, my windshield quickly became dirty and my forward visibility was severely reduced. Because there was no warning or indicator to alert me that the washer fluid level was low, I had no advance notice of the issue. As a direct result, I was forced to pull over onto the highway shoulder at night, in dark conditions and heavy traffic, in order to refill the washer fluid reservoir. Stopping on an active highway shoulder under these conditions posed a substantial safety hazard, increasing the risk of collision to myself and to passing vehicles.
