While driving all the warning lights for every vehicle system came on. I was just pulling onto a highway when this occured and was not sure to pull to the side for fear vehicle was going to have a problem, especially when the alerts for break system failure came on.

All of the warning lights and maintenance lights turn on at all times during driving. I have taken it to the dealer multiple times and after changing the fuel injectors, the light supposedly seemed to stay off. The day after I got it back from the dealer, all the lights started flashing again, the car stalled and lost power in the middle of the road. Pressing on the gas would not do anything. The car was essentially in neutral. I was able to turn it off and then on again and took it back to the dealer once the recall came for the fuel pump, to have the part changed. I was told they couldn’t change it, even though it was recalled, because they found that it didn’t need to be changed.
While driving on a two lane road at about 40-45 mph, the steering wheel suddenly started pulling to the left and the car felt like it was slowing down. The mpg indicator line in the instrument cluster turned red. The steering wheel was resistant to my attempt to correct, but I was able to get back into the center of my lane, and the mpg indicator line went back to white. Fortunately the dealership we use was on our way home so we went straight there.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) engaged while there was no vehicle or objects nearby, and the vehicle came to a complete stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was being diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. The VIN was not available.

At this moment I do not have any incidents or ongoing problems with the car. I do want to prevent this therefore I am reaching out to complain about the long wait-time. The recall has been issued for a long time and I still have not been able to get the replacement of the part, waiting on the go-ahead from Honda. I am hoping it can be done in a timely manner to prevent a possible issue in the future.

The vehicle has presented this issue twice now: The first: I was driving through a rural area at around 25 mph. As I approached a set of train tracks, I slowed down, knowing that the entrance to the train tracks was pretty rough. As I started across the train tracks, the car suddenly and rapidly applied the brakes. At this point, the audible and visual braking alerts were activated. I tried to use the accelerator to override the random braking and get off of the train tracks, but the car just revved without moving. At this point, I realized that the car had somehow shifted into neutral. Once I shifted it back into Drive, the car resumed normal operation. There were vehicles behind me that had to stop rapidly in order to avoid rear-ending me, and the situation left me temporarily stranded in the middle of the train tracks. The second: I was driving at around 35 mph with the cruise control set. A car from the right lane pulled in front of me, and while it was a quick lane shift, they had plenty of room. Shortly after they switched lanes (but not immediately) the car abruptly applied the brakes, slowing aggressively enough that I was thrown forward in my seat. There were no visual or audible warning signals like are normally used with the automatic braking system. I applied the accelerator, and the car resumed normal operation.
The component that seems to be failing is the fuel pump impeller per recall notice symptoms description. Our vehicle is demonstrating the following symptoms: 1. loss of drive power (when going down hill), 2. Engine hesitation while driving, 3. Illuminated check engine light (all warning lights go on and cycle through). We had the vehicle to the dealership. Even before inspection we were told that these symptoms were NOT related to the recall notice and were told we would have to pay a diagnostic fee of $189 As per above, the check engine light does go on but so do all the other warning lights (?!). According to our invoice we paid $189.00 to have the warning lights fixed (but 5 days later they were all on once again).
Charlie's Honda (Augusta, Maine) and Lee Honda (Auburn, Maine) have told me that they require an upfront diagnostic fee of $150 in order to put my car in line for a new fuel pump motor, which they don't have. Why should I pay a penny for a recall problem that Honda created using substandard materials in my 2018 Honda CRV LX. I had the fuel pump replaced by my mechanic Richard Beaulieu of Beaulieu's Upright Auto Repair, Augusta, Maine 04330. He tried to purchase the fuel pump motor from Honda parts distributors, which he was told they have in stock but can't sell them to anyone except a Honda dealership. So, we had to settle for an after market Delphi p/n 2270N fuel pump assembly $709.99. All I want is for Honda to cover the new fuel pump cost, for a problem they created. Honda USA called me today that unless I visit a Honda dealership and pay their diagnostic fee that they will not clear the recall flag on my vehicle. Talk about highway robbery! I have an open NHTSA complaint number #11609831. I trust my mechanic for diagnostics more then Honda's. Why issue these safety recalls if it's only a money grab for the dealerships? Winter is approaching and I don't want to be left stranded side of the road with Honda's defective fuel pump. My car is running fine, actually better as it idles more smoothly and has better acceleration.
Sticky steering making driving difficult from faulty power steering gearbox. Experienced unusual steering while on the highway that cost lost of control without an accident. Please reference Service Bulletin 18-103 attached.
I was driving at approx 40mph with no cars or other objects in front of me. The automatic brake mitigation system suddenly engaged with flashing brake signal, beeps, and sudden hard brake. If a car had been behind me, it would have been a fender bender. This has never happened before. I have now turned that feature off. I have not reported this to the dealer.
I was traveling on a 4-lane highway over 60 mph when the AEB activated COMPLETELY when no obstruction was anywhere near my car. The weather was dry and sunny. The brakes were completely locked and fully engaged. Fortunately, I had enough momentum to drift onto the shoulder to avoid the traffic behind me. No one was hurt. No accident occurred. I called two separate Honda service departments. One had never heard of this; the other recommended having the system recalibrated. Both admitted that replication of the incident would be difficult or impossible. I have not taken by car for service. The only visual warning that I remember seeing was related to the Adaptive Cruise Control but there was NO visual brake warning. I am buying another car and it WILL NOT be a Honda. Get this car off the road! The AEB system is a flawed design. The radar device on the front bumper can easily be activated by a stone from the road or broken when bumped by another car in a parking lot. At a minimum Honda Service should be calibrating the system every time these cars are brought in. OR make the system OFF by default, not ON.
Since my Honda dealership (Charlie's Motor Mall) has no recall parts and doesn't know when they will get them, I had our mechanic order the part from Honda to replace the recalled part. No Honda dealership or parts distributor are allowed to sell this part. So, I have asked our mechanic to install an after-market fuel pump instead. Honda sounds like they are breaking the law. How can they order another business that has the parts in stock not to sell them? Winter is approaching and all I want it is a safe vehicle to drive. Our local Honda dealerships (Charlie's Motor Mall and Lee Honda) state there is nothing they can do without doing a $150 diagnostic on my engine. Shouldn't this work be covered by the recall? This sounds very dangerous to have an identified vehicle problem and not having it fixed ASAP. So, I am having the new after market fuel pump installed and will be forwarding the bill to Honda for reimbursement. Honda needs a trip to the woodshed!

I was driving 50-55 mph on a two lane road. The car in front of me was 3 car lengths ahead and the car on my right side was approaching from behind. As I drove under an overpass my car jerked forward almost coming to a complete stop. I jerked forward and then back into my seat back. I had my ID badge on my front seat and it flew to the floor. As the car was jerking to almost stop the brake light on the dashboard flashed off and on a few times. I was lucky I was not hit from behind with how quickly the car stopped me but did not come to a complete stop, just slammed the brakes on quickly.
I have a recall on my Honda CR-V since December of 2023 how come the parts still not available by now, I am told that it is dangerous to drive because car can stop on the HI way causing an accident. lets get the parts faster then 9 mounths
1. Steering, and yes available for inspection 2. Steering wheel sticks, making me over correct and turn more than needed. 3. No 4. No 5. No
The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving 35-40 MPH, the infotainment system became inoperable. The contact stated that infotainment system became operable after parking the vehicle in the driveway. Additionally, the contact stated while at a complete stop, she noticed that the engine was about to stall. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal simultaneously, and then releasing the brake pedal, she was able to drive. Several warning lights related to the brake system, the transmission, the fuel system, and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the DTC: P0172 was retrieved. The mechanic determined that the fuel system was running significantly rich, the PCM was malfunctioning, and that there was fuel dilution from the engine oil. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was determined that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The dealer charged a repair fee, but the contact declined to pay for the repair and advised the dealer to complete the recall repair. The dealer declined to complete the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of
I was driving my mother's 2018 Honda CR-V at a steady rate of about 30 mph when there was a warning chirp and the car suddenly braked hard and came to a complete stop. At that time, I was at least 30 feet behind the car in front and both my car and the one in front were traveling at the same speed. I can only assume that the collision avoidance system kicked in unexpectedly. After stopping, I restarted the car and proceeded normally, with no warning lights showing.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed to the residence. The contact allowed the vehicle to cool off and contacted a dealer to schedule an appointment. The contact was notified that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The vehicle was driven to a dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed. The dealer informed the contact that the VIN was no longer included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the recall repair had already been performed. The failure mileage was 164,372.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel pulled to the right. Additionally, the contact stated that there was a clinking sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a tire shop where all four tires were replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
The steering binds when turning the steering wheel in either direction, and requires a decent amount of force to come back to center. So, while driving through a winding road it binds and locks into a left or right gradual turn and has to be forced the opposite direction to stay on the road. There where/ are no MILs present. I contacted my local Honda dealership and was told that it was probably related to the steering rack. However, they did not have that part available and wouldn't have it in the near future.

While away from home on vacation, the car alarm randomly went off for several minutes. Upon returning the battery was dead and would not start. Over the next several days this happened multiple times with the battery dying, car not starting, and the dash would light up and doors would not lock or unlock properly. Replaced the battery and again the same issue with alarm going off in the middle of the night after battery drain. I saw on the forums that the BCM is a common issue with the Honda vehicles. the car recognizes that "the start switch has been pushed, when it has not." This poses a safety risk for the car and the individual. Remedy from the dealer is the body/keyless module replacement at nearly 800.00. This seems to be something that Honda is aware of, but has not yet addressed.
Fuel injections failed on 65,000 mile 2018 Honda CRV. They had been cleaned recently and followed all Honda recommended maintenance. This failure has been repeatedly reported as it's impact 2015-2018 Honda CRV owners. This should be covered and recalled.

Vehicle started to run erratically as I was merging onto highway and all the dashboard lights were illuminated. Vehicle would not accelerate past 25 mph. Pulled over and turned car off and back on. Was able to accelerate and go a few more miles before car decelerated from 65 to 25. Got off highway and drove vehicle back home. It did it one more time, while on a back road. Took it to mechanic and diagnosis was two failed fuel injectors. Vehicle is less than 6 years old and has 95,000 miles on it.
1. Fuel pump recall, received December 2023 - not done as of 8-20-24 2. If the engine dies we could have an accident or be stranded as Maine is a rural state. 3. No, replacement fuel pumps are available to the dealer yet. 4. See number 3 5. No warning lights as yet. The car is running fine but for how long? I have been waiting to get my fuel pump replaced by Honda since February 2024. I think six months of waiting is enough. I have been dealing with Charlie’s Honda of Augusta, Maine (448 Western Ave, Augusta, ME 04330) where I bought my Honda. The service department keeps telling me that the parts have not been released for the recall. I got the same answer from Lee Honda of Auburn, Maine (809 Center St, Auburn, ME 04210) Why? I can purchase a retail replacement fuel pump. In addition, the service department wants to charge me for a full engine diagnostic which costs $150 to install the fuel pump. I thought recall costs and labor were charged back to the manufacturer. I am driving an unsafe vehicle and it is unsettling that the engine may quit at any time. We travel quite a bit on the Maine Turnpike and back roads of Maine. I would hate to have the engine quit on me during the winter leaving me stranded or worse yet have the engine quit in heavy traffic causing an accident. Therefore, I intend to get the fuel pump replaced by my regular mechanic at my expense so I can drive without worrying about the defective OEM Honda fuel pump giving out leaving me stranded. I do feel that

Steering wheel sticks while driving and will jut over when doing minor driving adjustments. Took car to Honda of Columbia dealership in Lexington, SC. Told me Rack and Pinion needed to be replaced and they have had multiple issues with them needing to be replaced. part # 53620-TLB-A23
A couple of months ago, I began to notice that the steering wheel would "click" as I turned left or right at an intersection. This began as a subtle jerk that was easy to overlook, or think to have been imagined. I travel significantly for work on the highway and began to notice that the steering wheel would slip and catch, even on long, gentle curves. When the frequency of these instances began to occur with alarming regularity, I took my 2018 Honda CRV to a Honda dealership. The service technicians confirmed the issue was the power steering rack sticking. I was informed that parts (gear box assembly, tie rods, boot set) would need to be ordered before repairs could be made. Technician also noted (see attachment) they'd found top strut mount popping and thumping. The vehicle issued no warming or messaging to alert to an impending issue. After 6 weeks, the parts are still not available (on backorder) for an undetermined amount of time. Current out of pocket cost, $3,427.51.
As soon as I turn the vehicle on, all the warning lights turn on. I cannot use any safety features of the vehicle as the lights remain on. It started a year ago however used to go away itself. But this time it is consistent for over 10 days and not going away

While driving on a public roadway at about 20 mph I approached a large steel plate covering a trench, the brakes applied with maximum force and the dashboard BRAKE light came on. Luckily there were no vehicles close behind us. We could easily been hit from behind because of the severity of the stop. We had a similar incident on 05/042021 that we filed a complaint with the NHTSA #11416110. I spoke with Matt (service Rep) from Honda City and was told it was not covered by the warranty.
The problem doesn't seem to appear until after I've been driving on the highway for an hour or so. When it does appear it manifests itself as a bind in the steering. For example, if I want to make a small adjustment - say to recenter the vehicle in the lane - the normal amount of pressure on the steering wheel does nothing. The wheel won't turn. If I apply more pressure then suddenly the steering wheel breaks free and turns a little more than I had intended. It sounds very similar, if not the same, as NHTSA Investigation: EA23003, but that one is for newer vehicles than mine.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
