Just purchased vehicle, drove from Bossier to my residence turning in trunk pops open by itself? Closed didnt think nothing of it thought maybe i accidentally hit the button? But wife experienced the same thing trunk popped open by itself, major safety hazard

Bobs Kia in independence Dealership is selling this vehicle that has this active recall that they claim is fixed but is not. Assume recall should be taken care of before selling it to customers
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to lock while the key fob was not inside the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that messages pertaining to the braking system failure, the EPS failure, the Collision Mitigation Braking System failure, and other unknown messages were displayed, with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,200.
Securty system, I have had my car broken into multiple times had the fobs replaced and the car keeps getting broken into. I bought a fob cover as well. I have taken it to multiple dealers regarding issue just have me do a fob reset. For over a year this has been happening even filed a claim with Attorney Generals office. Contacted Honda as well they offered nothing and did nothing.
I will be driving down the road and my vehicle will pop up with the brake message and slam by brakes. It does it randomly. It has put my safety in risk multiple times. It has done this on the interstate and thankfully there was no one behind me. I was going 80mph and it dropped me to 30mph in less then 5 seconds. The issue has not been reproduced since it does it randomly. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership many many times. There were no warning symptoms or anything. It just does it very randomly. I had an investigation open with Honda and all they said to do was take it back to the dealership. This car is an issue to public safety. I could very well be in front of someone one day who is not paying attention and there could be a very bad issue. There has been so many times these issues have occurred.
Driving the vehicle at highway speeds the large orange “Brake” warning illuminates and flashes, and the brake activates. This has happened approximately 5-6 times since I have owned the car. This started within 2 months of purchasing the vehicle. The dealer has tried replacing the front camera and I have changed the battery. None of this has fixed the issue. According to my Innova 5610 code reader, there are 32 pending codes for the Electric Brake Booster, including bring temperature too high, brake booster driver, circuit, overheat, brake pedal stroke sensor component, internal failure, brake pedal stroke sensor one circuit short to ground, brake pedal stroke sensor one circuit short to battery or open, brake pedal stroke sensor two circuit, short to ground, brake pedal stroke sensor two circuit short to battery or open, sensor voltage, a short circuit to ground, driver seatbelt sensor, vehicle, communication bus a performance, vehicle communication bus C performance, lost communication with the ECM/PCM A, F – can malfunction PCM – TCM, can communication failure with driving support system control unit, lost communication with vehicle, dynamics, control, module, lost communication with park brake control module, can reception error SRS, can malfunction ECM/PCM gauge control, module, invalid data received – signal has too many transitions/events, invalid data received from transmission, control, module – event information, invalid data received from vehicle dynamic control mo
My 2023 Honda Accord, with about 62,000 miles has a fault transmission, that is claimed a loss and needs to be replaced for almost $8,000. The transmission is currently at the dealership, but might be returned to Honda if a new one is installed. Our safety is being put at risk because if the transmission fails while driving the vehicle will not operate accordingly. The issue has been confirmed by my local Honda dealership, as well as others online confirming same issue with Honda CVT transmissions. The vehicle and transmission has not been inspected by police, manufacture, or insurance yet. There was no warning light. I did start to hear a ticking sound at 57,000 miles. My powertrain warranty is until 60,000. However, I was told by dealer to wait to do recall and regular service at same time. Now, I am passed my warranty 2,000 miles and they do not want to cover damages. I am almost positive it is a manufacturing issue because there is no way a transmission failed at 60,000 miles. Especially on a Honda. IF my transmission is replace I also do not receive an extended warranty, so I have 0 confidence in vehicle and do not want to keep it.
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Florida recently experienced a lower than average cold front. During this cold weather I started experiencing a problem with my steering. I initially described it as a twitching feeling with my steering but the next day I figured out how to recreate the issue consistently. My car wants to push me to the left into oncoming traffic. When I correct to the right I feel a momentarily resistance then the steering "let's go" and then steers right. I could repeatedly do this again and again. Car drifts left I steer right, steering sticks and then let's go to the right. I call and describe the issue immediately to my local dealership. They said my car isn't included in current recall for similar issue with crv etc. my appointment is in 3 days and now the weather is back in the 70s and I cannot recreate the issue. I'm sure when I drop it off, Honda will also not be able to recreate the issue in warm weather. It is a significant problem and needs to be addressed. My daughter thought she was going to be forced into oncoming traffic or the interstate wall because of it. Accords should be included. There's definitely a problem. I have a video that shows the twitch but I understand that probably doesn't mean much. Honda needs to fix this issue immediately
I went to put windshield washer fluid into my car. When I opened the hood, I saw that the under hood insulation was gone (Burt away). We just had a snow storm and it happen to be heavy wet snow. I always turn on the car from my house (auto start). The heavy snow forced the hood to touch the engine and because it did not have a cover, destoyed the insulation. I went to Honda and showed the service manager the picture. He said I would have to pay to replace the under hood insulation, that does not seem right.
When I am driving alone, the rear seat belt sign goes on and the alarm starts ringing, as if someone took off their seat belt off. No one in back seat. Was confirmed by dealer on 07/01/24. They performed hard reset. Passenger sat on rear seat behind driver and put on seat belt, the sign showed the middle seat passenger didn't have their seat belt on, there was no one there. The problem started after I took the car for a recall about the seatbelt. 02/07/24, Safety Recall 23-098, seatbelt pretensioner inspection.
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the remedy was not yet available. The contact spoke with a second dealer, Richards Honda (13413 Millerville Greens Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816); and confirmed that the remedy was not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Parts unavailable from dealer, dealer not willing to fix in meantime
1.When slowing down my vehicle kicks like it is choking. It is available for inspection upon request. I checked my Honda link app the week of October 21, 2024 to see if my vehicle needed a service and I noticed the recall on my vehicle for the 2023-25 Multi-Model High-Pressure Fuel Pump Stop Sale. 2. I learned through the Honda link app that there is a recall. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the recall prior to the week of October 21, 2024. 3. Yes. The problem has been confirmed by a dealer and the corporate office. 4. Honda vehicles have been inspected and a recall has been issued. “Due to improper production of the high-pressure fuel pump, cracks can form at the solenoid core component of the fuel pump. As a result, a fuel leak can occur in lower mileage vehicles when the high-pressure fuel pump is in operation.” Safety Risk: “If a fuel leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source, the risk of a fire, crash, or injury are increased.” 5. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to or after any symptoms. The car seemed to choke as I applied the brakes to slow down during the week of October 21, 2024. I noticed the recall on my Honda link app during the week of October 21, 2024. Currently, I am awaiting the remedy. I cannot drive my vehicle because of the safety hazard.
The idle stop system every time I turn it off it will automatically come back on and this feature makes me feel as if when it keeps doing that after I’m constantly turning it off from it popping back on that sometimes it don’t want to catch speed. I for see this being a long term issue if all Hondas are like this .
When driving home the car emergency braked with no cars, debris, or anything else in the road. Car breaked to a full stop from 40mph causing serious whiplash and almost causing an accident.
Rear camera fails when the outside temperature is hot, camera lost color image showing only the image on black & white, bringing the potential loosing of distant perception to the driver due the lack of color and the increase of the shadows on black and white image, I already take the car to Honda dealer and the response was Honda is aware of the problem and they are in the process of investigation due several new vehicles had the same problem.
Vehicle sometimes picks up blacked out or repaved cracks in road as departing the lane. The vehicles steering wheels shakes and vibrates then steers back into what it thinks is the center of the lane. Mind you as I’m already centered. It begins pushing car into on coming traffic and lane. Also the bottom aluminum transmission cover has come loose causing the skid plate or cover to come down on one side. This particular piece has fallen off and was dragging causing sparks. Sometimes the speed limit on the dash reads 65MPH as 85MPH
Cruise control will apply brakes when lane ahead is clear. This happens multiple times per trip, every trip. Automatic emergency braking way too aggressive. Has nearly caused me to be rear ended twice. I try to remember to disable it every drive. I wish I could permanently disable it.
I purchased a new 2023 Honda Accord from Woodland Hills Honda on 1/20/24. On 1/23/24, I pull into my garage after driving home from work and turn off the car. I get out to an overwhelming smell of gasoline. I inspect the car for visible leaks, which I don’t see, but the gasoline fumes kept growing and spreading throughout my garage. Concerned for my safety, I call the fire department. They show up and inspect the car and find no visible leaks either but advise that I do not keep the vehicle in the garage overnight due to the growing fumes and to get the car towed to the dealer, as they do not want to turn the ignition on either for risk of fire. I call Honda Roadside Assist and they towed the car to the dealership. The next morning, I get a text message from a Honda service rep at 7:30am initiating the service. After 3 hours of waiting and not getting an update, I text the same number asking what the status of the car is and whether they have identified the cause of the gasoline fumes coming from the hood. The rep texts back saying he will call me. When he calls, the first thing he says is that they identified the issue and that “It’s not a big deal, the car wasn’t going to catch on fire.” No concern for my safety or what I had gone through, but rather a diminishing of the issue. He says it has something to do with a pipe that is supposed to distribute the fuel to the engine and other components, but the pipe is damaged and gasoline was getting backed up in the engine, causin
My car makes a weird sound when it gets to a full stop. The dealerships identified the issue but need help fixing it. I and the dealership have contacted Hoda customer service, but they are not willing to fix the problem. This may be a safety threat. I have 3 technician report backing the same and attaching the last one only. No fix done so far.
There is a major design issue with the two front seats on this vehicle in that they are too low. I am five feet four inches tall and my wife is five feet two inches tall and I can barely see over the driver's side front windscreen having adjusted the seat to it's maximum height. The passenger seat has no adjustable lever as a result my wife can see anything outside in the front of the vehicle. This is a major design and safety issue and it has to be addressed by Honda. I've also been following the Honda Accord forums and many people have the same issue. because of this I'm already planning to sell the vehicle and buy something else instead. I've owned a Honda Accord previously and many other vehicles and this type of issue was never a problem. I've driven over seven hundred vehicles in the past twenty five years and this is the first car that I've encountered this type of issue, in fact the passenger seat is unusable because it's way too low. I'm currently looking at buying two after market seats or alternatively to replace the vehicle. In fact I just bought the vehicle as a Demo with just 5000 miles on it on 12/13/2023. Please help me resolve this matter.
The Infotainment System linked pixel 6 phone freezes. The icons for selecting navigation or other feature freezes. The car has been taken to the dealership twice. Unfortunately, the issue still persists. To resolve, the phone needs to be disconnected and reconnected multiple times for Android Auto icons to work properly. This can cause issues and risk when driving and need to change navigation icons and directions.
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH and attempting to make a complete turn, the steering wheel needed frequent correction. The contact stated that the electric power steering assist failed to operate as needed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,000. The VIN was unavailable.
Accord LX dash says vehicle requires a software update. Car was taken to dealer. Dealer says they hooked car to a computer and says there is no software update available. Dash continues to say vehicle requires software update.
Was driving around 70 mph all the Honda safety equipment started to fail(cruise, power steering, parking, 7 different warnings) brought to dealer is still there car has been OOS for a week.
Driving at highway speed (70 MPH) the power assist steering and all of the Honda Sensing suit subsystem totally quit working. The dash had multiple warming lights and dialog box's describing system failures, I continued driving till I could get off of the highway and turned the vehicle off, after about 10 minutes I restarted the vehicle and all systems and steering reset. Drove the vehicle to Lompoc Honda for maintenance diagnostics they found multiple codes but no real cause, the dealership cleared the code per Honda's direction and test drove the vehicle several times. I was told to return if the issue persists.
I have had 2 separate experiences with starting my car and the lights on the dashboard come on. A message comes on with rolling alerts that states the automatic emergency braking, steering assist, lane keeping assist, braking assist, hill hold, adaptive cruise control are all turned off. Additionally regenerative braking was also turned off. I took it to two different Honda dealerships for maintenance. (May 8th, July 20). If you wait 30 mins the alert will disappear. My most recent incidence occurred on Sept 2, I was out grocery shopping and the alerts reappeared while in motion. I was very afraid bc I have never had it come on while in motion. From my second visit July 20th I took it to get looked at and they said that they could not re-create the issue. So both dealerships restored the factory settings. Now this is my third time dealing with this. I took it on July 20th to have them update the system bc it continues to alert when turned off that there is a system update. I had to take the care back twice bc the system update kept alerting. While reading other people's issues I see it is connected to getting the system updated. I have paid a lot of money for this car and it only had 39 miles on it. I see that someone else has had this problem in the past. I travel for work and this is certainly an inconvenience. I want to know how serious is this problem and has other people reported this. See NHTSA ID Number: 11533957 for reference. I will be putting my photos on this repor
March - mpg display rapid fluctuations causing car to use more gas than should. It resolved itself a few weeks after taking it to dealership and them saying it not a problem but I don’t think it should’ve been like that. August 29 - acc stop sensing car in-front me immediately after turning on indicator and sped up resulting in and accident, luckily no one was injured. September 7 - while reversing into a frequently used parking spot the car thought ‘the wall was moving’ it has never done that before. Automatic collision braking activates when vehicle or object is nowhere near the car and almost caused accidents multiple times. I thought this was natural at first but then I heard of others having the same problem.
The vehicle has a feature that when transmission is in Park, and certain parameters are met the vehicle engine turns off after 20 minutes. There are no warnings offered. I nearly died when taking a nap in my car on a hot day in my car with a/c running. Then, without warning the vehicle just turned off while I was sleeping. I was woken by a passerby who noticed my overheating body. This is obviously especially dangerous for children. I reached out to Honda and they confirmed this "feature". However, they offered No solution. There should at least be an override on this system for when the weather is severe.
I got in a car accident where the front of the car was hit and the car is totaled and the airbags in the front did not deploy. I got injured because my face hit the steering wheel. I submitted a complaint to Honda but they are taking a very long time to have someone go out and investigate the airbags. My insurance needs to take the car away this week
The car will completely shut off while in drive and while driving. Not the auto shut off feature as that is off at the time the car shuts off. This has happened multiple times and isn't safe. There is no indication as to when it will happen, but it will randomly shut off after a short drive or long drive. Once I turn the car back on there is nothing that displays on the dashboard to indicate what happened or why or any issues the vehicle has. It's as if the car wasn't on and I'm turning it on for the first time. The car was leased in February and has been experiencing these issues since the beginning of the lease.
The car's dashboard will flash break and will use its emergency braking system to stop when there isn't anything in the way. Thus, the car stopping short and potentially causing an accident while there isn't a reason to break.
All the lights on my dash came on and the car would not move no faster than 10mph. Took it to the dealership and the mechanic stated that the brake light switch was not properly installed at the factory
I have reported that software cannot be updated on my car. Since my first report my rear seatbelts no longer need to be fastened with children in the car or the seat belt notification of not being fastened does not work. My air conditioner will stop if my infotainment system needs to be adjusted through my phone, and today in the rain my brakes locked up twice. The latter occurrence was coming down 1000 foot downhill in the rain with a car in front and an 18 wheeler behind me
The car has been showing a system update error and a message to please see the dealer when started from about 1000miles after I purchased it. I contacted Honda Service Center in Irving over a month ago and they mentioned that Honda is aware of this problem and is working on a solution soon. I have since not been contacted and am having to visit back there almost weekly to get a solution to this. These cars are new and almost entirely automatic and this is becoming an area of concern for my safety as well as my families safety. Over time I have also noticed the automatic break system signaling me to break when there is no obstacle ahead or even in the vicinity. Not to mention that the adaptive cruise control causes a hard break while next to cars in the nearby lanes even when they are not merging or coming within my lines.
The Honda Accord LX is equipped with a seven inch audio infotainment screen that does not detect nor capable of having wifi. The car's computer will update through Bluetooth and/or tethering to my phone. After I set up my hondalink and free att wifi(which wifi is on my phone), I went to Honda dealer I bought from and another local technician to speak to them about my phone tethered settings being on no file transfer. At both locations I was told my car does not update through my phone, they looked for a wifi connection in my car, and then asked to see my phone. I thought a recent update had made my engine go to 4rpms without switching gears. I was told where I bought it at that this was not on my cars computer and it did not happen. I have contacted Honda Corp to be told the same that the car does not update through my phone. Hondalink has a locator and engine updates were applied to my car at 8pm on Friday night in my driveway. Bluetooth does not have enough strength to install engine updates.
On 5.20.23, performed required remote system update for 2023 Honda Accord EX (gas) with 3,410 miles on it. HondaLInk app indicated update was requested while car dashboard indicated the update was installed and complete. Immediately thereafter, the Check Engine Light went off (not blinking) and received following message: "Emissions system problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer.". Habitual problem for Honda. I was forced to trade in a 2019 Accord Hybrid due to emissions problems causing blinking Check Engine Light with car computer NOT retaining error codes - see prior complaint to NHTSA - tracking #11521930.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
