FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS HAVE FAILED WITHOUT AND INDICATION AT 17000 AND 25000 MILES. THIS COULD AND WILL CAUSE DEATH IF GONE UNDETECTED AT HIGH SPEED. DEALERS ARE WELL AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT HARLEY FAILS TO RECOGNIZE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD NOT ONLY TO THE RIDERS BUT ALSO TO OTHER VEHICLES IF THE BEARING FAILS ON THE HIGHWAY. THE BEARINGS ARE A GROSS INFERIOR PRODUCT THAT HARLEY CONTINUES TO USE SINCE 2008 AND IS RISKING EVERY RIDERS LIFE AND THEY CONTINUE TO REPLACE THEM WITH THE SAME BEARINGS KNOWINGLY AGAIN PUTTING RIDERS LIFE AT RISK. *TR

Reading this record
No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.
Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
Most recent recall on file: none. Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation.
